It sounds like a pretty accurate term lol I think all survivors hide behind pallets every now and then. It's not quite as damning as a hook being camped so I doubt it's something that gets brought up very often, but you're still hanging out and baiting the killer into taking a hit.
Yea true, but I think it's a bit silly to say "You stayed at this destroyable resource to prevent yourself going down so you deserve to go down".

It is a trade...if they camp pallets and trade hits that is in them. Run to the next loop or pre drop or both...that is the meta right?
Ahhh yea, lets pretend it only ever happens on "camped pallets" a made up term by killers so they can somehow justify hitting survivors through stuns, good job.

Seems you are getting free fake pallet hits (killer hits you and you hear the scream but the pallet takes precedence) and laggy scratch Mark's (if they even show up at all).
Happy times for all...killers have been bhvrd...and I got DC on the police station yesterday when I was winning because resident evil
You say this like survivors haven't had to deal with getting hit on fully dropped pallets for 5 years?
I'd personally prefer it to work where if there is a pallet dropped and the killer would be stunned no one gets hit, killers ALREADY have hit prescedence even before dedicated servers (being the host and all).

The offering for RCPD has been disabled at the moment...
As for the other maps yeah some people will use them for easy wins. That's just dbd.
You're acting like it's going to be disabled forever?
It'll more than likely be enabled pretty soon after the patch.

It's ONE map in a game with so many maps. Like i said previously you don't get it often. Dbd needs a good variety of maps otherwise it will get stale really fast
But it's also Midwich, and Haddonfield and RCPD, all maps I can spawn with a single offering that'll likely make one side miserable for playing on.
-

Honestly, I'd be all for the map getting two variants, one with the east wing blocked off, and one with the west wing blocked off.
But claiming that it "doesn't work in DBD" is a baseless claim. It's not like other maps, that doesn't mean it's wrong for the game, its something new, and it does work, because I've succeeded on this map as both killer and survivor, so there's nothing 'broken' about it or it's implementation in the game.
Well yea, obviously it works because you can load into it and play, and one side will win, that definitely mean it just works.
-
Why?
RCPD is literally a map built for a different game and copy pasted into DBD with like, one extra drop down, the map doesn't work in DBD as it's literally designed to be maze like for the game play of Resident Evil.
I think people have a right to complain about the developers copy/pasting a map that'll never work unless major changes are made to it to fit the game it is in.
It's far too big, far too complicated, and should have honestly been split and rearranged.

But console players often can't control if they DC ATM. And pc players can. I hate that pc players are DC'ing most of my games, whilst I see quite a few console players chilling.
Right and that's your anecdotal evidence, but your experience isn't everyones and I've seen PC & Console players DC, so they should either keep it on or off for everyone, for fairness.

dont even do gens, just use a key/hide in a locker and escape
Killer camps one person, so just hide in a locker and escape? How do killers think this game works? While there are chances to get keys from chest it's a pretty low chance if not running plunderers, so you just have to hide for 8 minutes and hope your team dies? lmao. Also, say this hiding thing did work whats not to say the killer doesn't slug the 3rd survivor after two are dead and hunt you down? lol.
Survivor is so easy you just win if you hide in a locker, or something, lol.

Maybe they should just add it back to PC?
Just a thought.
Nah, it needs to be on or off, I play solo and always end up getting 3 console players, it's not really fair if they can DC against a killer they don't like and I'm left on my own because I have to suck up the penalty etc.
-
Can you post this entire match because I'm betting this is the only time it happened, when we all know Dead Hard is ignored by the server multiple times a match if it's in use.
-
This is such an incredibly rare occourence, even rarer when DC penalities are enabled (and also automtically punished). You can't punish the survivor getting the hatch because another survivor DCd, it's incredibly unlikely to be their fault, and if, by some miracle it is their fault, and they enouraged their friend to DC, they'll both have to wait 5 minutes to play.
-
I played against a killer (that dcd) yesterday who was rank 5 at 36 hours, I don't think pipping killer is nearly as hard as people make it out to be, if someone with less than 50 hours can pip up so quickly it shows how absolutely useless it is and how little an incentive it is for people.

Things that are basekit really don't need to be overwhelmingly significant, otherwise there's no need for Perks.
There already is a basekit Ruin: Kicking Generators. So if that feels lacking, modify that.
BT is one of those Perks that is just so gosh darn powerful and ubiquitous, while also potentially robbing the Killer of their own agency to choose what Survivor they go for. Too little time, or simply haste, doesn't "solve" the perceived issue of tunneling (nor do I think it really needs to be solved). The Killer just needs incentives not to tunnel in the early-game. my suggestion is this:
Devotion:
- Each Hooked Survivor different from the last grants Devotion
- After reaching 6 Devotion, you can Kill a Survivor that has progressed to the final Stage of Sacrifice by your own hand (has been Hooked twice).
I really don't think most killer that choose to tunnel would choose the opportunity to (maybe) mori a survivor on death hook when you could just tunnel the same survivor 2 times and have someone out of the match over hooking 6 different survivors and then being able to kill someone after downing them.

Nah, their win state is escaping. Ask them if they feel like winners after I 4k off a NOED/Blood Warden snowball. Rofl.

@Power_Guy said:

You can't equate tunneling to doing gens. Tunneling is not the Killer's win state; Killing is.
Tunneling is a TACTIC towards winning. Same as Survivors going for a half-completed gen. I mean, the Killer does not really have a choice either; he has to kill to win.
And again; everyone will try their best to win. This 'don't tunnel' malarky is just one side imposing restrictions on their opponent using pretty much every excuse they can think of. It's just 'Stop trying so hard.' with guilt trips 'Survivors feel bad when you Kill them'.
Which is what ticks me off; I'm tired of being demonized by people who can't take a loss. I'm tired of those here who insult the other side for using <Killer/perk/tactic> because they don't like it, or think they deserve wins. Or, most under-handedly of all, just want to force their opponent to play badly for easier matches.
Until Survivors look at a half-completed gen and say 'Nah. I'm going to give the Killer more time; I'm doing a new gen'; they can honestly shut up about 'tunneling'. It's just the Killer's version of doing an already worked on gen.
doing gens isn't the survivors win state, completing them is.
What exactly is your point here besides trying to twist everything, play how you want buddy, you're arguing with someone who doesn't give a toss about how people but can understand the frustration with tunneling but don't understand how killers can complain about survivors doing their only objective like it's a negative thing lmao.
Keep going brother, your paragraphs justifying tunneling is fine, I just don't want to read it because i don't care.
-
@Power_Guy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2367174#Comment_2367174
And that means...what, exactly? That Killers should spread the hooks around and play less optimally because Survivors can't undo hook states?
I mean, you're right; Killers CAN win without tunneling. They can also win without perks, if the player is skilled enough.
But as long as my opponents (Survivors) are going to play with effective strats and perks; so am I. That includes tunneling the weakest link so I slow down gen speeds.🤷♂️
Play as you want, the point stands, killers can and always have been able to win without tunneling, you are free to do so, survivors don't have the choice whether they do gens or not, they kind of have to.
Tunneling to win is a choice that you are free to make, survivors don't really have a choice whether they do gens or not to win, they're kinda required apart from niche key situations or last man getting hatch.
-
@Power_Guy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2367074#Comment_2367074
False equivalency.
Killers win by KILLING. Of which tunneling helps.
Just like Survivors win by doing gens, of which going back to an 80% gen helps.
But if we use your logic; Survivors can win by doing every 0% gen when chased off an 80% gen. Instead of tunneling that 80% gen.
Survivors onto using fallacies to push that 'don't tunnel' propaganda.
I see what you're saying, but killers can regress gens, there have been perks to do that for years, you can't regain hooks there is a massive difference because an 80% gen may not be 80% when you go back to it, however you can't get a hook back, ever.
The point still stands.
-
Killers have always been able to win dbd matches without tunneling, survivors literally cannot win without doing gens unless a key is involved and even then gens are still required depending on how far into the match this are.
-
There's literally pallets in every map that do nothing unless you stun the killer, yes I think one pallet in one map that if you play it perfectly will push the killer down the hole.
-

I don't even use endgame chat unless to reply to 'gg' with a 'gg', and even I'd probably comment on the absurdity of 3 people wussing out. Keep reaching.
he got to basically play the entire match out, in the grand scheme of things, I think name calling is worse than DCing in a game.
-
@Power_Guy said:
You can't believe it?
Every day, Survivors spend hours trying to use insults and peer pressure to control who Killers play, what perks they pick, and what tactics they use. They also repeatedly scream for the devs to change the game to conform to the Survivor Rulebook For Killers.
Survivor mains have 0 shame or self awareness. 😂
I mean, the killer immediately name called them in end game chat, so i guarantee the OP also spends their time insulting survivors etc.

They can, but the company can detect this sort of thing a lot easier than other hacks. They can check for a base amount of what is "allowed" and what isn't if they set 1 mil as a cap, but to measure all bp gains and see what's too much ect. Is a lot more difficult to code for. Trust me on this, you can easily check for "if X is above 1,000,000 then flag content" but to code for "if X gains N per S hours over D days then flag them" and even then you'd have to give leniency due to saving bp from tomes and still have no proof they hacked. The Bp limit is the one way for them to do this reliably. On top of this any limit could be abused. Again, this is why they use this limit.
If you have a clip or some example to prove me wrong I'll listen. But otherwise your just spouting nonsense. They can monitor caps of bp (that's easy to do) but hacks on the other side that don't have this result are difficult, why do you think they need evidence to ban someone in game. They can monitor data like bp per person, but not software.
If they're using an EAC bypass nothing is being checked the only ban that will occur is from a manual check and if nobody reports them for that then they'll never be banned, the bp cap is utterly pointless.
-
@ilovedbd123 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/266390/the-bloodpoint-cap-is-pointless
There's another reason it was added to, but they don't say it often.
It's to deter hacking as you have to do it an insane amount of time to actually P3 everyone.
Now let's say 1m gives you a character to lvl 50.
That means, you need to hack:
((1*3)*(24 killers+26 survivors))=3*50=150
This isn't even to get every perk to tier 3 on each character, which would cost probably another 50 hacks if not more.
That's a massive deterrent if you ask me.
Hackers have always been able to bypass the cap, it's like DRM, it only really punishes the normal user.

I didn't. You're trying to shift it's meaning.
According to you, it isn't at all survivors trying to be arseholes when they t-bag the killer, ever. Not when they're safe, not when they're at the gates, not after dropping a strong pallet, not after getting a save or blind, it's never the survivors trying to be a dick. Just like the point emote is never used, either.
If the Devs added a middle finger or an emote that made survivors call "get wrecked, #########" then t-bagging the killer would fade away into obscurity. That explains it's meaning and intent.
God I'd love a flip off emote, especially if I could do it while t-bagging, I'd love to see what you'd conjure up then.
Survivor "BMing" at pallets it's helpful to killers, they're literally helping you play the game, any action done after dropping a pallet is them not making distance to another loop, you're free to be upset at literally anything, I've been t-bagging since Halo 3, I'll continue to do it because I enjoy having it done to myself and doing it to others and have never thought or even compared it to flipping someone off, you're free to make up whatever you want though.

Yea, it was the easabilty of him, if he actually averaged 3K but actually took time to master I'm sure he wouldn't have been touched.

It really isn't. Why do people t-bag? Its not for fun, or else people would walk around doing it when no-one is even watching.
People do whatever they can to be rude in every videogame. If there was an emote for flipping people off, t-bagging would be quickly forgotten about.
I t-bag survivors after they heal me, and others do it to me too which is undeniable proof that t-bagging isn't just the insult you want to try and make it out to be.
and if it would be quickly forgotten about, why do survivors still use point and beckone emotes if t-bagging is the ultimate nasty big bag action that you make it out to be, surely they should be forgotten for such a nasty and rude thing like t-bagging 😱

You're wrong, they nerfed him because he had a high kill rate.
Doc, Leatherface & Pig all average 3 kills as well but they weren't nerfed or changed (since those statistics), so there was obviously something more with Freddy.

In this they contradict themselves. After all, according to them, they nerf Freddy, because he had the highest kill rate. Developers look at statistics only when it suits them. It's simple.
No, they nerfed freddy because he's overperforming, which could mean, he's killing a lot but also doing it quickly etc, I'm sure there are more variable than just "he has the highest kill rate". Of course they don't have to go into everything and every reason they do something.
-
@VSLl said:
The funniest part is that Pig's kill rate is higher than Rin's. And we know that developers only look at statistics. By this logic, they should buff Rin.
I mean, you've just proven that they don't always look at statistics? Nurse also has the lowest kill rate but is the strongest killer, if they -only- looked at statistics, then she would be buffed, no?

Because an escape is someone who wasn't killed? They're directly proportional (except for DC's which until this chapter weren't too common)
If the average is 2 kills and 2 escapes, then kills and escapes would be equal. DC's shouldn't by a huge factor, because a survivor DC often leads to more kills in that match, and a killer DC results in 4 escapes.
I see what you're saying but the person I replied to said that the kill rate would be below 2, so I was more interested in their working out.
