Could of at least changed the blue hair section to different colours.
Thank god I got prime and got a better head for free lol
@Brokenbones said:
Come on BHVR you couldn't even change the coloured hair streak to a diff colour to match the earring?
That's just lazy man
The blue streak ("white") is the signature mark of her character in the lore, so it makes sense that none of the cosmetics change it. No reason why they can't alter the rest of her hair though.
-
Why?
Even if matchmaking were perfect, there's no reason killers or survivors shouldn't be able to back out of a lobby if they feel like it. Odds are if someone's willing to wait extra to avoid playing with a certain group, they have a good reason.
-
So I'm not crazy, those maps are still showing up way too much? I thought the event for that was over.
I've seen Coal Tower like 6-8 times today. Send help.
-
You're using it wrong.
Shadowstep is amazing. After the nerfs to COH there's room to argue it's now the best boon. At any rate, the other two boons are absolutely worthless so it will never be the worst one.
-
Let this be a warning for anyone looking forward to the upcoming perk overhauls. These nothing-burgers are the kinds of perks BHVR see as good.
-
Often when this happens I find that the other survivors are SWF. "Who cares about the random?" and all.
-
$0.00.
I really don't care for cosmetics.
-
Leon isn't dead last, this points to a deeply flawed methodology here.
-
Don't know either, but I hate it.

uhh it just does? the perk gives you 100% bloodpoints and that reflects to the after match BP. I dunno what else to say.
Nah, I agree with the other poster. They're asking for the total in the final results screen. That doesn't include BBQ or any other modifiers.
Edit: Or not. They ought to edit the survey description then.
-
@toxik_survivor said:
Yes it does
What makes you say that?
-
No, it does not. IW only affects breathing while injured, not while healthy or dying. There have been countless bugs where Survivor breathing isn't audible, with or without IW, though.
-
Tomorrow or Wednesday, if at all.
@Pulsar said:
Am I the only who thinks the map is horrid?
I'm not a fan either. Don't know what the general opinion about it is as far as balance, but the layout and colors leave a lot to be desired imo.
-
If we're counting legendaries then Cybil is way rarer than Jonathan in my experience.
-
Clearly the solution here is to delete Blight. Then no one will ever have to see that awful 'Ritual of' ever again.
-
I agree with most of what OP said. I'd like to
rantsay more about this when we get closer to it if I have the time, but for now... a meta nuke is a terrible idea for a game like this. And not a single person should be looking forward to these reworks given the track record the devs have when it comes to perk design. Just look at 90% of their perk reworks, Jonah, Yoichi, and Haddie if you need any proof that the devs still have no idea what they're doing when it comes to making decent perks.
-
So they're giving us a poll for Shrine of Secrets perks and even STILL there isn't an option for Soul Guard. Which is soon to have been in the game for two years without ever being in the Shrine.
lol.
-
I agree with the crowd saying a rework would be better. It's one of those perks in the family of Fast Track and others that is hilariously bad with its current numbers but could easily become overpowered with even a slight percentage increase.
-
Here we go... Finish practicing your surprised faces, everybody!
-
There's not really much left for me at this point. Dead Space and Alien would still be awesome, and I wouldn't mind F13. Can't think of anything else that would get me particularly excited.
-
That's nice to hear. I was worried they weren't doing it this year since they usually announce it earlier than this.
-
I've encountered this too. Had a match today where I was wondering why all of my teammates were going down with the box until I picked it up myself. Kept getting interrupted while solving it. I really don't think me and my entire team suddenly forgot how to play against Pinhead, and he wasn't running any special addons, so it feels like something is wrong here.

I've got zero problems with this. This wasn't a race I had a horse in either way (I'm ace, character sexuality means extremely little to me), but I'm familiar enough with the concept. And to be honest, I think creating a new character to be the 'first LGBT+ character' has its own pitfalls that'd have people up in arms with how they were just introduced to be the token gay person, their whole character identity is too focused on their sexuality and not as just a person (even whether or not that's true - that tends to be pretty subjective, and I suspect it's what people would be focused on due to the circumstances of their release), the implication that none of the existing characters can be LGBT+, etc. There's no perfect way to do this. As long as they actually do something with it in his tome and it's not just a token tweet type deal that's never brought up again, I'll be satisfied.
As for the whole "David King had a girlfriend!" deal I keep seeing around - as OP says, many LGBT+ people figure out their identities through life experiences where they follow what seems like the 'normal' thing to do with their life, it never clicks, and they plod along with varying levels of dysphoria until they realize (or accept) where the problem is. It's not remotely uncommon for gay individuals to spend years in lukewarm hetero relationships before they make the connection that what they feel isn't just what everyone else feels, or specifically an issue with their partner/their relationship/themselves. I think David's a pretty good choice for this - possibly just because I'm overexposed to AO3 where everyone makes David gay anyway, but also because he's already got a fully formed identity that rather coincidentally bucks most stereotypes of gay men, so he can't remotely be construed as an insensitive take. We'll see how integral it is to his lore, but if anything, the sheer backlash against what seemed like a stereotypical macho man also being a gay man just shows how fragile some people are about their identities and how... bizarrely threatened people feel by LGBT+ themes encroaching in their media.
I'm looking forward to what they do with his upcoming tome. There is a pretty fine line to be walked here - if they lean way too hard into it, or it feels like his actual character has changed from his previous story in tome 3, or it feels disconnected from everything else David King was, then it could fall back into pandering. But I feel like there's a lot they could do with it, and I'm pretty optimistic about where this is going.
Agree with all of this.
No matter what direction they went, people would have trotted out the exact same complaints about the gesture being forced, pandering, insincere, etc.
I still say they should never have wandered into the topic in the first place, but since they first started this whole mess with David's lore it's fitting that they address it with him too. And honestly, I don't think it's very much of a 180 in his characterization. It's not like his girlfriend was brought up to imply he was enjoying a healthy, loving relationship.
-
Probably because of the MMR tests, but she's actually been the most common killer for me in the last few days.
-
BHVR's back to their old habits of nerfing good-not-great perks between PTB and live. The best justification I've seen is that it was much stronger than other perks i.e. other really terrible perks that themselves need to be buffed. But whatever, it was only ever going to be used in niche meme builds anyway and it can still be used for that, right? I'm more annoyed that Dark Theory was left as is.
-
Ah yes, typical forum killer mains up and down this throughout this topic.
Maybe OP's points weren't stated that well, but he's not wrong about either one of them.
-
Because A. there's nothing wrong with playing the same map more than once, and B. none of the other four people care that someone else played the map already? If you're really annoyed with the map rotation that's exactly what the offerings are for.
-
The PTB is out, right on schedule.
-
Claudette at the start. Claudette to this day.
-
I expect another Exponential, but the forum will treat it like a CoH.

I wouldn't call a DBD horror game in the sense that it's supposed to scare you. It's a multiplayer action survival game, the horror aspects are just a skin.
This is true. The game absolutely had a better horror atmosphere in its earlier days, but it was never really a horror game in the same sense.

But if they are not bad (like I thought) what's the reason they are so rare?
Twins are rare because their playstyle is boring and anti-fun for most players. Consider that the Hag is also extremely rare despite being another top-shelf killer. Many killers don't enjoy using those characters; but that doesn't mean that players who do enjoy them can't, reliably, do extremely well with them.
-
Last week... and I haven't played in a week. Twins aren't common, but the idea that they're a weak killer that need to be buffed so people will play them, as some in the community like to suggest, is so silly.
-
No Nurses for a while, eh? It's a shame that I don't have any time to play right n-
@Ripley said:
Guess it's Blight or bust.
Never mind.
-
Pyramidhead, followed by Billy's.
-
I like the Survivor stuff, but agree that Trickster's odd makeup ruins his.
-
If I never see another Blight in my entire DBD lifespan, it'll be too soon.
-
Killers aren't using Blight with his busted addons and "techs" because other killers are too weak, they're playing Blight because he has busted addons and cheesy exploits. I know this forum be quite defensive when it comes to Blight, but buffing any other killer isn't going to change the actual reason Blight is so obnoxiously common.
-
It seems a bit asinine that they disabled this map because they're going to rework when that didn't happen for other maps. I know a lot of people really hate Haddonfield for balance reasons but it's been my favorite map since it was first introduced and it's annoying to know I'll never play the old version again.
-
...What?

Ok I was wrong, strong bait. I stand corrected.
I'm surprised this many people are taking it seriously too tbh.
-
2021 was pretty decent actually.
-
It's not your fault. That add-on gives the Survivor no indication what happened when it's used.
Perfectly balanced like all Blight's add-ons. :)
-
I think the recent sale for Ghostface's items and the BP codes are just about all they intend to do, or that they even can do considering BHVR doesn't have any official affiliation with the films.
-
I remember the most fun game I ever played with a Blight.
He was afk the entire match.
-
I would if it were happening next week, but I have too many other things I want to do and other games to play this week. Even a lackluster PTB is a chance to have more relaxed games, so I usually enjoy them when I can.
-
Survivor Mains and Killer Mains: Alchemist's Ring is completely busted. Please look at Blight's addons.
DBD Devs: Okay. We're buffing Adrenaline Vial.

@Crowman said:
It's dumb of bhvr to remove the faces because people were complaining that they were being used to harass people.
It's not something I've seen really happen.
I've not seen it either. I only follow a handful of people in the DBD community and none of them would have encountered this.
However, that doesn't mean it wasn't happening or wasn't a legitimate issue. I can't say I'm bothered by their response to this.

@Nathan13 said:
That can’t go live, so many survivors are gonna abuse this lol.
And here it is. Example #1031 that even the worst Survivor perks in the game can't get changed without someone blindly insisting they'll be busted.
-
For me, it's Blight (most common by a mile), Huntress, then Bubba, with Nemesis literally right behind Bubba.
