Yeah I agree but how to solve that?

I would wait longer in queue to NOT have to verse Pinhead, Trickster, Legion or Twins (I rarely see the latter though) but I understand they cant give players an option to not queue against certain killers, as we all know Nurses and Blights etc would never be able to play the game as most people would block them.

This is a problem as games are supposed to be fun but the way DBD works is you get put into matches that are not (subjectively) 'fun' for the individual and I don't know how you can make them want to play something they don't enjoy?

You don't solve it, you can rework killer's to make them more fun to play against but that's about it. almost all of the other online multiplayer pvp game's I play have counter's and they are either unfun or hard to play against. That translates to dbd in the form of not liking certain killer powers, which is way less of an issue than counter pick's in other games. So in other words play the game or stop playing in general, you choose.

  • It's really hard to say just play until it's fair, but yeah that. Survivor's have been taking better and better stuff lately, at least for me. And if you are not playing a top tier killer, there is no need to worry about losing to survivor's like that.

  • In my experience as a killer main, it's a lot of rng on who escapes. One survivor can be an absolute juicer but that really doesn't raise their chances of escaping unless the other are equal to them or close. I decide who lives and who dies at best, at worst I decide who gets hatch. Yes the person who does nothing and plays for edc gate will gain mmr more consistently than the juicer who plays for chases, absolutely.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3253869#Comment_3253869

But escaping would generally correlate with playing well and vice versa. Someone dying over and over again probably means they aren't playing well on some level, or the matchmaker isn't doing them any favors (which as far as we know isn't changing). Somebody *could* die because they sacrificed themselves for their team, but is that really happening enough to warrant the change? Is altruism for the sake of altruism now considered skillful? Because it shouldn't be. That's how games are thrown.

If survivors make the correct decisions at the correct times, they will escape more often than not. I don't see why the system needs to change.

Nah as a killer main, I don't see anyway that escapes is a better representation of skill than something like a uncapped point system for survivor's. You could have a high mmr doing absolutely nothing but playing for gates after hatch is closed every single game. You could have a a low mmr running the killer for 3 gens just to be face camped. Way too many variables on survivor side to simply say escapes = skill. This game is not something like league where if you are good enough you can solo carry, the killer will eventually get you and down you unless you are miles ahead of the killer and have good rng. You may get hooked right as the gates are open and the other survivor's just leave without any attempt at a save.

Blight and nurse literally need a small addon pass. And a very minor one at that. They are still the only killers that can Tango with the seal team survivor squads. Something about those squads will never be done (they have said so) so blight and nurse have to remain strong enough to counter them.

Correct, one side can have a peak potential too far ahead of the other, if both nurse and blight are nerfed too hard they become uncontested. Although I think nurse is too easy for her potential, good Blights should be thought of by survivor's as good swfs. Well that also depends on what they are running.

Far to many people to reply to so apologies for that.

But if you support DCing or giving up you are also a problem, it's not a balance, matchmaking or even fun issue. Theres 0 way you can tell all that within the first min of a game and these entitlement players are dcing because something isnt instantly going their way.

I dont see killers DCings over every map, certain items, perks or even items unlike I'm seeing my survivor team do.

Every other game bans people that constantly leave far more severely and a DC often doesnt matter as much in a shooter because its 1 less person to boost the enemy K/D. DBD is a 4v1 as soon as it's a 3v1 early on it's a lost cause.

And it's quite clear these people are DCing and not issues, i have even messaged some and they say why. And stop saying "we cant ban people what if it's an internet issue" well your internet issues wont persist constantly and if you know you are having issues DONT PLAY.

I shouldn't of played 16 survivor games in a row with a DC/suicide because of stupid entitlement like they didnt like the map, killer or went down fast.

Yeah, exactly what I said. It has to be survivor's that have only played dbd and are accustom to people being able to freely leave a game without penalty whenever they want and even then the penalty for actually leaving is so miniscule.

In my experience not in the slightest, people did DC and suicide but not to such extent as now, you can go to some streamers and see they have a DC/suicide in 1 out of 2 games on a regular basis, then you can check their older videos before 6.1 and the DC/suicide rate was much lower.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3252979#Comment_3252979

DBD does ban you if you DC and is rather harsh, 4 DCs in less than 24 hours grants you a few hours ban, 8 DCs in less than 48 hours gives you a 3 day ban and for your information Solos arent pissed about that "shake up" meta (which wasnt a real shake up, meta is still antitunnel and anticamping and gen regression), they are pissed camping and tunneling were made stronger and in return they are being camped even more, thats what burning people out.

Now, Ill repeat myself, you can ban people for DCing or suiciding, do it, I dont play Survivor anymore it wont affect me, but if you leave what burned people to such degree fresher players are going to burn out and do the same, eventually running out of costumers.

    It's not harsh whatsoever.

  • Found myself just playing normally after the first couple hours of it.

She is difficult to master. She has the ability to damage survivor through walls, but in order to do so you have a very very small window to fire 2 crows at a survivor before they repel the swarm. Any Artist who can master her power is extremely threatening because no where is safe against her swarm.

But no one has really done so from what I've seen, because the time and effort you put into master Artist power, you could simply play blight or nurse and spend less time mastering their powers instead.

Now you say that and even though I am biased, blight has not been mastered by a single person in this game and is by far the highest skill ceiling killer in the game, if you want to talk skill floor go for it.

we all came to play. not to die quickly. the killer is in play throughout the match. the killer doesn't need to be strong enough to quickly take a survivor out of a match and gain an advantage. if the game prompts the killer to take the survivor out of the game quickly, the survivors will be dc. bhvr needs to change the balance of the game or make other modes.

You just ignored what I said, they should not have the right to dc/give up like that do. That is bad multiplayer design. Again killer's were in a worse state when dh and CoH was at it's peak than solo is right now, but killer's just stopped playing instead of trolling games as survivor's do right now. I experience it on survivor as well and it just wastes my time. Solo is due for some buffs right now, but if you are not having fun don't play.

there are soloq survivors who died in 90% of matches. after the changes they began to die 100% of the matches. game to balance swf-killer. about the fact that there is a soloq bhvr does not want to think. for a soloq bhvr need to return what it was in 2016-2018 years. I mean fog, lighting, pallets and more. other modes need to be developed. the problem is not the dc people. problem in bhvr.

    @HectorBrando said:

Exactly, people DCing or suiciding first hook are a sympton not a problem, if you punish them theyll end quitting but the problem will remain, fresher players will get burned out by same unaddressed problems thus getting banned too and reducing the player numbers bit by bit.

Rinse and repeat until you run out of people to ban for suiciding.

Don't play the game if you dc. You can complain about balance, you can not have fun with the game anymore. BUT literally any other game will just start banning you with the amount some people DC. League, OW, any competitive shooter. They all start banning you for ruining other people's game's, in something like COD it's irrelevant because losing one player really isn't that meaningful, other player's can pick up the slack. In dbd, one dc is gg and everyone but that dc is just bored now. Seriously, just don't play the game if you dc/suicide more than twice a week.

It's bhvr it took them 5 years to change the survivor meta, they buffed killer when 95% of killer's were struggling vs survivor's. The solo buff is coming, they are slow. Imagine if killer's dc'd before 6.1.0 the game would of died, oh wait survivor queues were double current killer queue's because they all just stopped playing the game instead. I think the only reason bhvr doesn't implement a real punishment is because they know a lot of people will actually stop playing the game, due to always having the ability to get out of each game they want for free.

When you guy's defend it, you are just embarrassing your self's whether it be your own bias or your lack of awareness in online pvp games. And then I will see you guys in the same thread tomorrow repeating the same thing.

Field of view is literally one of the designs of the game. Survivors have more field of view than killers on purpose. This doesn't mean that can't change, but we're talking fundamental balance changes at that level. Would killers give up movement speed to balance it back out?

I have run shadowborne for the last 11 months. It doesn't really give any advantages at all other than being able to see people at your feet a little better. It's literally an f tier perk, it may or may not even affect you in 10 games as a survivor compared to the base kit bt that survivor's got. I am 100% fine with bt base kit but that is actually a strong affect unlike shadowborne. I really don't even care about shadowborne base kit at this point personally because I am accustom to and fine with running three perks forever, but everyone else deserves it at literally no cost to you survivor's.

These two scenarios are incomparable because the killer can literally walk forward and force them out. Survivors can do NOTHING about being bled out. Stop being entitled and demanding everyone to be punished for harmlessly scratching your ego.

What happens more often? Survivor's get slugged to death like what 1 in 50 games? It's literally never happened to me ever lol. My survivor main friend has probably 800 hours on survivor and 100 on killer but he said it's probably happened to him 20 time's ever. But pretty much every game survivor's win at least one person is standing there t-bagging. Nothing erks newer killer's than that gloating.

Well the stats are awful anyway, no doubt if it was hooks shed be higher up in them even if you include all mmrs. But the fact is, and this goes for alot of killers especially in solo Q there are just teammates that hinder you.

You'll be surprised how often people arent doing gens, don't understand counters or perks and will often give up. No doubt nurse is strong but she is beatable it just requires your team to play and have an understanding and it's pretty smooth sailing as not all nurses are gods.

You're more likely to run into a swf you could never beat than a nurse especially the higher mmr you go.

As for the DCs I'm pretty sure a DC doesnt make the whole game void. As far as I know only the DC player is void, so they dont count while the other 3 will. Obviously cant be 100% but every time I ask a dev I dont get a reply and the only reply I do get is "DCs are void and dont count as a kill" which isnt really helpful understanding the other players

Yeah I doubt that. Even in high mmr most player's are not very good. What's more likely, one good killer player on nurse or 4 good survivor players? imo I the good nurse player is way more likely. In rregards to the unbeatable 4 mans I guess it also depends what killer you are playing and what build you are running. If you are playing m1 killer's even with full gen kick build I guess even decent 4 mans would be impossible. I also think a lot of the swf's people think are good are just running really, really busted builds and not actually good in chase.

  • Yeah doors are complete rng. The fact that even double speed blight can struggle to defend doors means your argument goes both ways and I'm willing to bet killer's will struggle with door spawns more often than survivor's do :). And probably around 65% of maps are survivor sided.

Felt like I am the only one. It's baffling that others don't recognize that time spent playing is best individual metric for skill.

It's absolutely not the best metric and prestige is especially not the best metric. It takes like 50-75 hours of playtime max to get prestige 100 on a character, that could mean a 100 hour player spent another 75 hours getting prestige 100 on their favorite character. But the time metric falls off fast in terms of skill, if you are actually trying to learn how to play the game it shouldn't take very long to get the basics down. This game is not hard and yet players with 6000 hours will be mid tier in skill and a player with 600 hours will be high tier in skill. Performance is the best metric of skill, a total 8k hour survivor team can be intimidating but the amount of time's I've run through them like butter even though they run their best stuff is countless. Especially in this game where a good portion of player's play it like a party game with no intent to improve anything other than their loadout it means even less. So many variable's in every video game go into how much a player can improve and while time is a factor, it's not the best indicator. How much do people try in video game's overall, how much do people go out of their way to improve, how much information do they absorb from people better than them in order to improve, do they even realize their own mistakes or are they blaming it on the game and do they even have the potential of a good player in general. In league which is a game many time's harder than dbd the player's with the highest mastery points(essentially prestige) are typically bronze or silver player's with thousands to tens of thousands of hours.

TLDR; time is indicator but a weak one with too many variables. Prestige is not actually a representation of time in general, but how much time you have spent recently on dbd relatively.

  • I'm guessing here but there seems to be 1 strong tile and one tile equivalent to an lt wall, the rest are pretty horrendous yes.

  • Yeah I have played 50 survivor games in the last two months, I have been Proxy camped by 4 huntresses, full camped by one demo and hard tunneled by one ghost face. It's not as bad as people make it out to be.

    @Ittrix said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3249131#Comment_3249131

I heard they were gonna add BT to basekit. You're dead on with tunneling and not camping. You'll still trade, and since everyone always has it now killers can probably still just wait it out. Maybe if BT effected both the survivor unhooking and the survivor being hooked. Probably would be strong on the survivors end, but... jeez, whatever makes the game more active than 'look deeply into the killers eyes like you're goin in for a kiss for 10 minutes and then go back to the queue'.

You can pretty much always get to safety with current bt, 10% speed boost plus 10 seconds of immunity will let you get somewhere. Unless everything in that 4th of the map has been thrown, but by then it has to be late game or someone trolled.

  • @Veinslay said:

High prestige survivors that are bad are very rare lol. It's a very good indicator of skill

Nah, it just means they play a lot. And other than new player's, time doesn't mean anything. Went against a 6k+ hour Elodie who I ran over and in the same lobby went against a p30 Nea with 900 hours who was the first good survivor of the night.

  • Started playing this game like a year and a half ago. Only played killer until 6.1.0. I mained in order Doctor, Hag, Nemesis, Phead, Bubba and finally Blight. I have played maybe 10 non blight games since February. I never played a character for how powerful they were but their power, other than nemesis I always couldn't help but laugh watching my survivor friend play against him, seeing him run in the distance. But in every game I play the kit and skill expression of a character matter to me the most, minorly aesthetic which is why I could play hag. Blight has the highest skill ceiling in this game no contest and is extremely fun to play, so much so that playing another killer is now boring in comparison. Pretty much any m1 killer lacks too much skill expression due to shift W. Blight pretty much make's survivor's play well or lose. Spirit and Nurse make me sick to play, Spirit because of her music and Nurse because her fatigue animation makes me straight up sick after a while. Well that and their power's are boring as well, I guess most power's are pretty boring in comparison to blight though.

So what you're saying is basically any survivor tech they should keep, but any killer tech needs to get patched.

    OK 👁👄👁

Ironically he seems pretty fair from what I have seen lol.

  • @toxik_survivor said:

I've been seeing some posts about techs and if they should be removed over the past couple of days and I believe no tech should he removed besides the weired blight one that was fixed a month ago or smthin.

Cj techs, 360s's, window techs, and all the weired ass name techs should not be removed because they create and extra skill set in the game. For the most part it is extremely hard to pull off such techs in high mmr and it gives a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when you do so, especially against good killers. They are fun but difficult and do not break the game in anyway. Although when you 360 and snap your ankles in half its a very good mechanic and skill that can give you reward if you do it correctly.

Most people that complain about techs are no offense, the lower mmr players. It's not your fault though, it's mmr. You are probably supposed to be going against low mmr but you end up going against 3000 swf squad. So yeah I would get why you would complain about removing techs, mmr just destroyes everything and provides horrible statistics and info which leads to people complaining about something that shouldn't be complained about cause mmr fked them up

By the weird blight tech, do you mean the one with dissolution and c33 by chance? It was pretty funny tbh and turned him into a m1 killer, not even really a tech just some weird bug.

    1. There's two perks that alter FoV. Shadowborn and Monitor and Abuse. The latter would be fine just removing the FoV change, I run it and I don't notice the FoV change all that much, it's pretty useless in only being active during a chase anyway. Shadowborn could take some inspiration from Dredge's Nightfall, perhaps it could make survivors slightly more illuminated with a white glow around them when they're within x meters or something.
    2. This is a slippery slope fallacy. Most first person games run at about 90-100 degrees FoV as standard. There's no reason to go beyond that, you'd end up looking through a fisheye lens.
    3. 90-100 degrees
    4. Not necessary, as Shadowborn already increases it to 102 degrees, all killer models must already be set up for 100 degrees.
    5. Not necessary, as stated several times already, the difference between 90 and 100 degrees in terms of what you can hide behind, doesn't change anything.

4 is correct except for clown, you can see into his belly.

  • Depends on how they played. I am a bill player at heart, but a trade for someone who was useless I do not do anymore.

  • Let's all be real, if they add an fov slider to the game, that's just a blight buff. Me and probably 1/2 of all blight's in this game run it. Tbh I don't even know what I would use in 4 perk builds anymore, seems kinda foreign.

It is still intended as a hide and seek game. The devs literally referred to the game that way in the last major advertisement.

If they are advertising it as a hide and seek game it's to pull in more people. But the devs know the game is not a hide and seek game anymore, and they balance the game accordingly. It's hide and seek for the first 10 hours on survivor.

I don't want to get too far into the weeds here, but Tru3 starts off with an ironclad view of what he considers to be skilled DbD play and bases his viewpoints off of that. There's never consideration on his part that he may be wrong about what constitutes skilled play at the highest level. For instance: looping and not playing tiles on the survivor end. You see this at the competitive level i.e. the highest level. Most teams will tell you a 10 second chase in the correct part of the map is better than a 1 minute chase in the wrong side of the map. You will get benched as a survivor if you're trying to extend chases in bad areas and not creating space. It looks like terrible survivor play if your only definition of good play is looping.

DbD at a high level is much less about tile optimization and more about space creation and positioning. And I think a lot of people get hung up on that, mostly content creators. It's not accidental efficiency on the survivor end in many cases. It's creating space. And the killer needs to recognize a valid opportunity for a valuable down vs giving too much space.

And regarding Eruption strategy, killers will absolutely kick gens at all costs with the Eruption/CoB build in my experience. It's almost always a 20 minute slog of gen kicking and trying to get the killer to commit to something.

I mean the only really skillful thing a survivor can do is loop well with what they are given, comp player's are really good at playing efficiently but was it really that hard for them to not go in the direction of other survivors when on comms? Every comp team I have played against which tbf is not more than 4 in the last 5 months that flaunted it openly, had one good chaser and the rest just pre-throw, hold w and split on gens. They are good team's but survivor's most expressive skill is by far looping.

i was replaying to a statement u made, u said that u don't loose if your squad runs all medkits, wich is not true because there so much more things involved in a game than just medkits alone. if its a decent coordinated squad yes the have more chances to win but 4 medkits doesn't mean win

I'm making a comparison, both are extremely strong things where if in decent hands they will roll over the other side unless the other side is that much better or running stuff just as good. The point is while yes in the bad hands, they won't carry the game for you but if in even decent or even good hands they will make the game so much easier it's absurd. Like I would say 4 strong med-kits on a strong swf is equivalent to blight running green speed iri tag, I will down stupid fast but it's made up for with med-kits. I did not mean to be condescending.

  • Not relevant to the discussion though. The game was intended to be a hide and seek game and that lasted for only a couple years. If the devs feel like it's ok to add it now they will.

  • @WesCravenFan said:

what is unhealthy about a perk that grants 10% regression and 25 seconds of incapacitated for downing a survivor after kicking a generator? Tru3 is defending the perk because he believes that survivors should not be able to complete the generator objective If they are unsuccessful at the chase. He states that as one of biggest problems in dbd for killer. He is defending eruption because the perk rewards the killer for being successful at the chase and gives incentive to go for what he will describe as playing for 12 hooks.

Pain res is a perfect example of a perk that rewards you for getting downs, but it does have counterplay and doesn't give you infinite value for your teammates "mistakes". I agree with everyone else here, you will go down vs a good killer eventually. Unless they are pre throwing the entire map while also playing well.

thank you for the visual aid. So my take on this is that killers see this as a “problem” because as you said they can heal faster than a killer can injure.

As a survivor main with 900 hours, having a green or purple medkit has never saved me from getting downed or sacrificed. This seems like another “problem” for killers who think they’re supposed to 4K every match and that if they don’t, that it’s a game design flaw and needs to be fixed. I get that BHVR has killers thinking this game is all about their pleasure and revolves around them, but there are actual people playing survivors here that want a fair shot. If survs didn’t play, killers would only have bots to play against or there would be no game.

I would not call it abuse, but if you have 4 survivor's with kited out med-kits. You have no reason to lose other than to A tier killer's or higher running good stuff. They are extremely strong. It's like when people say other people are abusing nurse.

  • I have not been playing much for a couple weeks due to ow2, but I saw 50-100% on killer regularly on NA. But never really get on dbd until 9 or after.

  • I mean the most intense and fun game's I have played have been end game slugs vs altruistic survivor's. I have only had it complained about once, by a comp team running 3 unbreakables lol. That is peak dbd when the survivor's are doing their best to get everyone or as many as possible out, while risking the entire game in the process. Most people on both side's are fine with it unless it's slugging to bleed out. And as other's have said in general, before EDC, it's typically the survivor's fault for being grouped or going for risky plays.

If ants evolved to be 1% bigger, they too would be in the "best spot" since their creation. What's your point?

I do struggle, but my survivors are definitely better on average than most of the survivors people on these forums seem to face. I'll have a stressless game maybe 1/4 of the time at best. I notice that matches where I don't tunnel or 2-hook, or there's a boon(s) or a Dead Hard(s) present, I usually don't win. That's just a fact of life for killers, being at the mercy of survivors bringing weak stuff vs strong stuff. Survivors can suck at chase if they're efficient on gens. They can suck on gens if they're good in chase. If they're good at neither you've got a good chance of winning, but if they're good at both there's no chance of winning. Not even going to talk about SWF, which has obvious and crazy advantages over the killer.

The meta for killer against the best survivors is Corrupt/Deadlock/No Way Out, because they're the only guaranteed slowdown that don't require constant downs. The best survivors pretty much don't go down. So while Pop and Jolt are great and all (against survivors who constantly go down), they don't do much to this breed of survivors. They also show you how much potential the "killer sided" maps have for survivor. I rarely have an easy match on Dead Dawg for example, because they just mindlessly run to main building every time they're hit. I started experimenting with Enduring/Brutal/Bamboozle, to get the stupid pallets and windows out of the way, but to no avail against good survivors. Can't JUST 3-gen the survivors either, because they'll simultaneously be trying to split the map. Can't SIMPLY tunnel or camp someone out, because it's not as if they're giving out hits for free, and then they'll get body blocked or hide out the rest of the game, meanwhile gens are still going.

What's insane is how y'all don't see this. I'm honestly envious of you, that you either don't get these survivors or you find playing Nurse and Blight 24/7 fun. 90% of the killer cast is not in THAT good of a spot if you haven't noticed, stats be damned. Killer has a lack of skill expression, because basically everything they can do in chase gets trumped, brushed off, or made meaningless by gen speed.

Why would I play anything else but blight? Most skill expressive killer and the most fun, he just happens to be really good as well. I mained 6 killer's over half a year before landing on blight, nothing else even feels fun compared to him in this video game. I do agree though, most of the killer's in this game are still weak. It's just solo queue combined with eruption and how bad most player's are in this game make those lower tier killer's playable.

    It’s RNG sided.

Take your pick, fractured cow-shed or shelter wood. Most based take I have seen you make, but I think a ton of variables come into play as well. Rarely does it feel like in total both sides are running the same power level builds on fair map.

For everyone else in the thread, if solo gets indicator's and mmr gets fixed for survivor's like I hope it will they will get a massive power leap. Not that I think that is bad, but what should follow is map balance and a reduced amount of rng in maps along side it. Survivor is fine or even more powerful than killer unless we get to blight or nurse, it's just too much efficiency lost solo to reach even half of the max potential. Tome challenges and multiple people going for unhooks, wonderers. They all hurt survivor efficiency so much. There really should be a checkmark box that allows you to wait longer to get grouped with/ go against players closer to your skill level.

incorrect as usual, you really are big on one rule for you and a different rule for everyone else. leaving the match is not against TOS, hook suicide is not against TOS, they are both enabled within the game, slugging is also not against TOS, but if you're gonna repeatedly slug someone, that's pretty grief, BM, however you want to phrase it, you're deliberately attempting to cause someone distress and remove their gameplay, holding them hostage, to the point where they disconnect - how can you not see that's completely BM. you admitted these intentions quite openly.

you and your little 3-man echo chamber can sit there passing round the copium, telling yourselves you aren't terrible, while the community keeps repeating 'solo queue is in the worst state it has ever been'. i wasn't the one that said 2 wrongs don't make a right lol, though it's true, you BM'ing players is not justified by them giving up. you must enjoy kicking people when they are down. malding lol i have a beautiful head of blonde hair, hbu?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3246834#Comment_3246834

it can be small-minded to instantly hook suicide, yes, but such can be the mind in moments of distress. how does it waste other peoples' time? you still get a game against possibly 3 players that still want to play, and the fact they actually want to play means they will probably play better than the one who doesn't. so you are saying then that you subscribe to the philosophy 'he ruin my game me want spite him back!'. in that case, you called yourself small-minded. i found it a bit funny that out of all of this, that's what you took. i think i had even written that part before i saw that you had posted something i hadn't read, so i just tacked in that one-liner above the paragraph to which you refer.

if someone had a string of bad games against weskers, blights and nurses and then they get another game with yet another one of those, found with lethal pursuer in 15 seconds and downed fairly quickly, i think it's quite foreseeable that they might think it's hopeless. nurse audio cues apparently are enough to make a lot of survivors feel hopeless already. maybe more like Lamoore said, if you want someone else's take on the same issue. if it was only those who consistently do it over and over, who i think are really the rare cases, then it would be fine, but you can never know who those are, and the penalty system punishes people immediately even if it was just their internet dropping.

some games have no restrictions so i don't know why you would fantasize that all games have strict penalties like that, only a few do really, and none of those games are such unbalanced griefing sims like this.

How does it not ruin my games? There is literally no challenge involved in that game after that. I play this game for the challenge and to get better at it. If they had a string bad games and are willing to just go next after first down, then they didn't really want to play and shouldn't be allowed to get out for free just to ruin another game. Do not play the game if you are willing to hook suicide after your first down. And yes it's fair to waste their time when they are wasting my free time as well. They can DC if they want out or even afk if they are having real life problems. I literally have no idea how people defend this. It's not a fantasy to ask for people to play the game after they hit ready, it's expected. They know what's in the game, they know what to expect.

  • Either you hit the softcap, or your mmr is that solidified(not sure if mmr works like this, in this game). Either way you will catch up with them eventually.

so either way then, we can assume a thoroughly unenjoyable game. the way you diminish those things to insignificance portrays the callousness of your attitude. in truth you are looking at even less blood points than you state for staying in a stomping as you suggest, or more if there's actually potential to make it into a decent game.

so why do you think people should just accept that lose-lose situation surrounding their entire game, not even just the microsituations you killers always whinge about 'oh boohoo i had to get slapped by that pallet i had no choice he used dead hard for distance'. people quit late in matches too, i've seen survivors throw away 40k blood points because the killer did them dirty at the end, for example by slugging and leaving them on the floor while they search the entire map for a 4K. i think people like you just see a DC/suicide every game and think it's always someone who does it every game but the truth is mostly that people will do it once in a while due to bad fortune, BM and the overall state of the solo queue experience. the assorted DC's/suicides every game is because it's a terrible experience, thus it is so common for people to want out.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3246484#Comment_3246484

you seem to ignore the psychology of the game. if there is no competition, there is no game, so creating unwinnable situations and then insisting that people are obliged to suffer and waste their time is truly absurd. letting yourself die on hook is a game mechanic that you are avoiding to purposefully keep someone in the game.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3246545#Comment_3246545

you lack understanding, unsurprisingly. you're definitely in the wrong to BM people by slugging them, that's just sad.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3246600#Comment_3246600

sounds like the game was already challengeless if the player already lost the will to play.

so now then how exactly does one person giving up ruin the game for each of you, who seem to care so much about your own game and not even remotely about other peoples'? if people are giving up so fast because the game feels hopeless, does that not show fundamental problems with the mechanics of the game, and why is it so common, and why can none of you see beyond the immensely small-minded 'he ruin my game me want spite him back!' the running theme throughout all of what each of you say 'when he BM's it should be a BAN but when I BM i should be celebrated for enforcing the game's intended way of playing!'.

is your standard for other peoples' gaming experience so low that they should accept having no fun and being just annoyed as the standard for gaming? why do you want to impose a different standard on other people than you want for yourselves?

Small minded? Isn't it small minded that they just give up and make four other players waste their time? I don't play this game to run over survivor's with no resistance, if that were they case I would be running stronger things every game, tunneling every game and camping people to stage two. There is no other video game that allows people to get away with such actions consistently regardless of how hopeless they feel. If you are the first person down, how do you even feel hopeless already? You only know the killer I am playing not even what my build and add-ons are most of the time. It really is funny you call me small minded.

  • Not particular to blight, but way more funny.

So then with that mentality, when survivors let a teammate die on first hook, are you punishing them for that? I doubt it. But it’s okay to slug because they wanna suicide?

Idc. I’m going to kill them anyway, if they wanna speed it up, no problem.

Guess there is no point in saying this, but how do you have fun when someone gives up early like that.

  • @Sharpefern said:

People playing survivors, does anyone else rush for a save when they see a first hooked survivor doing a triple pull to try and die? Like if I can get to them before second stage, great, but I at least want to get to them before they die so they are forced to either play, wait, or dc.

Killers- if you see someone do this do you kill them or make them play/dc. I am now beginning to think the best thing I can do with these players if they refuse to play is slug them. It gives other survivors a chance to get altruism/benevolence points and forces a makeshift dc penalty. (this of course is if its an early give up. If there are two survivors left or something like that I mercy kill). The only think I cant stand tho is if they let themselves get to crow stage, the explosions are so annoying.

If the game is winnable and it's their first down and they start killing themselves, they are getting slugged for a couple minutes. They are wasting my time in a challenge less game, I will waste theirs on the ground.

Can't nerf medkits until you nerf Nurse and Blight, they down survivors too fast and the team needs the fast heals.

You also can't nerf medkits until you buff solo queue because you can't count on your teammates for a heal.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm, but what do you think the nerfs will be? They are not going to change total charges, it's probably going to green med kit speed and speed up add-ons. 4 med kits that heal in 12 seconds and those survivors should only lose to blight and nurse if they are running something almost as disgusting and they are better than the survivors.

  • @Beatricks said:

A SoloQ survivor definitely doesn't have a 50% chance of dying in a trial lol.

Not that this means anything, but I actually have a 50% escape rate exactly.

  • @KateMain86 said:

The problem with hitting a survivor on a hook is that they can't do anything back. You got them on the hook, thats enough. You don't need to hit them while they're down even more. I've had killers hit me on the hook for the entirety of the hook timer. They didn't care to win. They only cared to be toxic. As long as survivor/killler interaction is able to happen then I think everything else is fine but when you're on the hook and can't do anything but hang there and watch your character get hit over and over again, that needs to stop.

So it's fine for survivor's to bm the killer which is something out of the gameplay loop but not for killer's. Obviously killer can sit there and do it for a while, but guess what? Survivor's can just alt tab and killer's have to continue to play the game as someone throws every pallet on the map and tea bags. It's a double standard, both side's are capable of in game toxicity and you are biased to your one side. The equivalent of a killer hitting a survivor on hook is survivor's tea bagging at the exit gate or simply waiting for the killer to force them out without any threat to their teammates, there is nothing the killer can do and the survivor's are just gloating about their win.
