  • I see far more commodious tool boxes than blights running op add-ons. But I advocate for nerfing all the time.

So they bring a perk that could be entirely useless and it's selfish? Will you also complain if people start to play around Bbq again?

Distortion, lucky break, old iron will and shadow step are probably the worst designed perks in the game. Anything that inhibits chase with no skill involved is just bad for the gameplay loop.

  • Yes, but only because if the team is altruistic or if even better they are also good players it leads to the most interesting games possible for me. Although any comp team I have gone against has ruined it a decent amount for me, most egotistical low chase power players I have ever seen lmao. Kaz on his way to comment here XD.

  • Nerfing only one side at a time only leads to community uprising. Realistically whats more common, running into a blight with op add-ons or stacked toolboxes? I could easily argue that the more common thing should be nerfed first but I hold any bit of self awareness.

Freddy, Trickster, and Artist. Trickster in particular is a killer I never see anymore. I’ve seen maybe one in my last 300 matches. I get a lot of hags oddly enough.

I used to be a hag main.

Question: Are the hags setting up a 4-5 gen web and playing off of it or are they just playing trash knight? Most hag gameplay I see online is just people playing the ladder.

If we look at May 2022 - May 2023 we still see a downward trend. I don’t know why you’re trying to pretend it’s not there when the image is in front of us.

You’re totally clueless, though. You’ve zero plan for reducing the amount of rage quitters in game, and you think I’m the one defending “baby behavior.”

I’m the only one in this conversation with a sensible way forward.

Your solution is to do nothing.

    Actually hilarious.

Hold on, I found your picture online:

    https://i.cbc.ca/1.6713609.1673645058%21/fileImage/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/original_620/this-is-fine.jpg

This is too good mate. Oh my, you really have humored me this time.

Rage quitting is at an all-time high, and your plan is to do nothing. That is pure gold.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, yeah?

June 2021 was Nemesis release, a massive ip released at the start of summer. If course dbd looks bad when you remove context and compare it to the absolute peak.

However If you look at April/May 2022 and April/May 2023 you see the player base is around the same amount. The game is doing just fine.

There's nothing that needs to be addressed for rage quitters. They're only going to find new reasons to be babies. They just need grow up and accept that not every pvp game will go their way out find single player games to enjoy instead.

Anyways I'm done humoring you. I got far better things to do than to engage someone who wants to defend baby behavior.

You two are both discounting the other side.

DC's/suicide/afk's are never acceptable, that doesn't mean under lying issues with the game are not present.

League is probably one of the most consistently hated games by it's own playerbase but continues to be the biggest multiplayer game in the world for a reason. It receives constant change regardless of it's frustrating issues.

On the other hand dbd receives lackluster updates that happen infrequently. No real base game changes have happened to shake up the gameplay either.

BUT league does not allow these disgusting behaviors that dbd allows. Saying players giving up before a hook even happens is a symptom is far too generous. The dbd playerbase is simply not built to play in a real competitive way and is far too bias to see what needs to happen to their own role.

Just because major issues exist does not give players an excuse to ruin other peoples matches.

Both issues are equally killing the game regardless of what either of you think. 1 person DC's and a player decides their done for the night even though that person that DC'd was done playing before they even took a hit. Tunneling and all of these new anti gameplay killers are also contributing to people losing interest.

I personally believe that survivors dc far more often because they have lost a bit of an easy access power level that they can't obtain without some sort of skill anymore, although killers can be quite skilless in their objective and come out with a tie. Just because I have that opinion doesn't mean I don't think tunneling shouldn't be addressed. Although I am quite certain that slugging and 3-gens are fine outside of skull merchant and maybe knight.

Above all saying the Ada is in the right is just wrong in any regard. Ada's making a far greater impact by making the random people she happens to be on a team with want to play less than bhvr picking up just one more dc.

    They are not.

By tunneling you reorient yourself to comp MMR.

You play to win when tunneling. No ifs, ands, or buts. Your goal is maximum time-efficiency. (Which tunneling is, effectively done).

Killer has the unique choice of choosing casual MMR by self-enforcement of going for 12 Hook games to reorient their MMR such that the game assumes an “average” 2K2E is when the Killer has imposed their largest handicap while still maintaining some semblance of progression. (Not that it’s reinforced).

Few people understand that if you camp/tunnel you are literally forcing your MMR into comp queue. It doesn’t matter the reason, especially if MMR is still just Kill-based matchmaking.

You are completely discounting the power level between killers.

  • I mean nothing I said is out there too far. If I can't find you when my build is dedicated to it, then I have few options left. And distortion countering the most amount of things in this game is a fact.

    Overwatch has backfill.

Imagine if leaving an Overwatch QP game caused your team to never get another teammate simply because your teammate didn’t want to play against a Hanzo. It would be miserable, just like DBD or comp Overwatch is.

And even so, if you spend any time in the Overwatch community you can see just how much people hate the amount of leavers in that game. I wish there were harsher dc penalties in QP because I’m sick of someone leaving every game in QP. And I’m tired of having to backfill every second game.

As for CoD and Battlefield I’ve never really played so I can’t really speak for them, but from what I can tell those games aren’t really as team reliant as DBD so a leaver is not as impactful so the penalty doesn’t need to be that harsh.

You can be equivalent to 10 players in CoD and Battlefield. The difference is quite large.

  • It goes against what you said in your post but if you delete the busted add-ons blight will still have the most diverse and playstyle impacting add-ons.

    Adren = complete kit change

iri tag = a high risk/high reward better bubba type gameplay

    C21 = aura reading

Vigos = stealth to a degree

Soul chemical = skill checks (even though the add-on doesn't function XD)

Blood favor add-on which really doesn't change much to be honest

His two meme add-ons destroying his kit

Other add-ons affected several different aspects of his base kit.

sure I can agree with that. visually reacting where he is going to bounce and predicting his next bounce while maintaining your safe positioning is most important for facing blight. he is using loop to illustrate the depletion of tokens but generally you have to use environment objects that have no pallet to avoid his power while still maintaining the ability go get to next pallet/window from his fatigue.

    Well said.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

I find blight to be fun to go against. Otz put up a short tutorial video on how to go against blight. The most important part video is the part he talks about in 3:00-3:20. Although he makes mistake from position stand-point, that part is bread and butter to countering blight. its simply matter of denying angles and exhausting his tokens. you can do this on most round loops against blight. I still think blight is up there with gold standard for strength as far as killer are concerned.

You know I learned most of my base game knowledge from otz and his hag gameplay got me into dbd. BUT everything he said about blight was mostly wrong until this video, he lost some points from me in that regard. But if that video is souley directed at mid level players then he was pretty much spot on the entire video.

Biggest tip I can give people when playing vs blight is looking at the collision outside of the tile as that is exactly what any decent blight is playing off of.

If there was a written rule on this "agreement" then sure it could be punishable. Other than that you're just trying to be a dictator on how others should conduct themselves in an online game. Haven't played an online game yet that states what you're saying, most games offer ways to exit the game, for whatever reason.

It's not up to you to decide.

Most games penalize repeat offenders for leaving the game, so your point is moot. It's made even worse by the fact that only one role has the free dc tech.

It would make no difference if you start tunneling or not, the state of the solo Q right now IS tunneling after tunneling. lol

And sorry you feel so bad about distortion, I hope you overcome these harsh feelings someday

There is no perk that counters more than distortion by a very large margin.

There is also a massive difference between me tunneling and the average player.

People also say the state of solo q like there isn't a duo in atleast half of all games lmao.

And not all Nurses, Blights and Spirits are high level players. I await your rant about survivors crying about strong killers since most killers players are higher tier players. Otherwise, if you don't like what I write, you're more than welcome to keep on moving and ignore my posts.

But yea, it's the killers asking for EZ games in a thread about wanting to nerf Blight.

I mean, he is one of the few 100% survivor speaking players on this forum. No point in interacting with him.

  • @VoidOfMe said:

I was one of the few here that said barbecue wouldn't go anywhere after the "nerf" that removed extra blood points, apparently, killers didn't use it only for BP, huh?

Sorry for sounding entitled, but I was called clueless and worse by people here in the thread I made about it back then:

"Oh, they killed barbecue, no one is gonna use that anymore" except I just went my fifth straight game where the killer was using it. Distortion is now my main build lol.

I'm so waiting for the new stats to bump that 1-year-old thread and get a ban here, but a happy one.

BBQ really isn't that good, it's just players like me want direction without thinking after hooking. If I start seeing distortion in my games on more than one survivor consistently, then I will start tunneling for the first time in a year in half because you have chose a selfish perk.

I am a relatively lax killer but if I am threatening to tunnel, who knows what other players will do. Idk know what I am talking about because I'll get bored of tunneling in like 2 games anyway.

Distortion is simply top 3 worse survivor perk design period. The fact that I can run c21 on blight and constantly prock it without getting feedback means the perk is far too overtuned. No amount of perks or add-ons for other killers will allow them to push through the tokens if c21 blight can't.

Where is the competitive mode in DBD.

    Can't say I've seen it.

Doesn't matter, the affect on the game is far worse.

Although it's probably something we will never agree on as even though I started with cod and halo I moved to league for nearly a decade before I touched dbd whereas I am pretty sure you got into dbd at a far younger age than I did. I consider this game a competitive pvp game regardless of the busted matchmaking and the potential for 4 solos to run into a c33/adren vial blight. This game is not a goof around haha funny party game as many make it out to be. You are trying to win vs other players and the low penalty for dc's combined with ability to leave for free a min into the game makes too many games worthless.

It straight up depresses me when I play killer when a survivor dc's and frustrates me to no end when I am playing survivor. Craziest part is that it happens most to me when I play survivor against a killer not tunneling and not playing some op killer. It's probably because I only play killer after 12AM so survivors are generally far better.

Non-competitive games almost NEVER ban for leaving a lobby.

There is def some penalty to ow qp and ranked does in apex for sure.

It really doesn't mater in CoD because of the immense potential one individual holds, you leave my lobby and your probably helping me(same for battlefield to an extent). OW both QP and Comp suspend you pretty fast for repeated offences though.

The thing you saying is not makes sense. We have +30 killers in game atm. And Knight is not popular killer. Just because you hate this unpopular killer, you won't uninstall the game. Because you love other stuffs.

And people know whenever they get killers they don't like or maps they don't like, they can easily give up. This is the same for any online game. You can give up in any online game and then you can go to next match for better exp. This is not bannable , so we can't do anything about it.

Your entire second paragraph is not true at all. Most competitive games do penalize, suspend and outright ban you for that behavior.

You’d hate to see the good blight’s hit 180’s. No it’s not a glitch. His power is fully designed that way. There is a peak look angle, and then a separate turn angle when you begin a swing. All you need is high DPI to utilize the full potential of his angles.

Don't tell him you need high dpi as he'll assume it's a bug and ignore everything else you said. Alternatively to a higher dpi, just more mouse space.

You've never run into a canker thorn blight ever? I've seen it a decent amount.

if you aren't playing nurse or blight, you HAVE to get a survivor out of the game as fast as possible or you are going to lose against any decent survivor team. That is just the reality of the current state of the game.

I wouldn't play killer whatsoever if I felt I had to tunnel every game. As far as I am concerned, survivors would rather go against my blight with no slowdown, 3 perks, no kicking gens, no tunneling and no add-on sets too extreme.

  • Who even goes back and finds these posts?

  • Most killer designs are just bad, but if you don't like facing wesker in chase I have 0 clue who you want. He is simply the most well designed killer since Blight kit wise. His power has a lot of room to outplay.

60% isn’t balanced. The devs have expressed how they want the game to *slightly* favor killer, which is why they’re aiming for a 60% kill rate. Or, in other words, an average of 2.5-3Ks per match. A map where 60% of survivors who play it die isn’t balanced. It favors the killer. And that’s fine.

I mean, 53% was the kill rate they released during prime CoH and DH god validation. Obviously the kill rate means far less if that was the case. Factoring in how much harder it is to get into survivor than killer 58-60% probably makes more since than 50. Even if mmr was perfect, survivor being far harder to learn without outside help will always skew the kill rates one way or another.

  • If anything it was always just boring to play around as killer.

  • Before blight, they underestimated me and let themselves crumble for the most part. Although playing the worst killers in the game reduce your options in these scenarios to the point of being a bot. Blight on the other hand I don't go against skilled bully squads often so they just die. Skilled bully squads also die eventually because they aren't actually doing their objective and grouping up against blight regardless of add-ons will get you slugged, unless the map is very terrible collision wise.

Except nurse is still the best killer regardless of the nerfs and spirit is, surprise, still the third best killer regardless of the nerfs.

Very few people complain about Wraith and in general it's more about hit and run play style. He got consistently buffed since his release, except for one single nerf to his lunge duration after uncloaking, literally the only nerf he ever got, and nobody in the communities was complaining about that specifically

Freddy was extremely strong for literally zero brain activity required. He's in a sad state now, he deserved a rework entirely (again) but that doesn't mean his nerfs weren't needed, no killer should be that effective for zero effort

    Billy.. yeah

Also what @Pulsar said to your comment. You can't be seriously defending his current state

I mean nurse is better base-kit no doubt, but the more complained about add-ons do push him over nurse when used by a good blight.

Na this is just hard forum copium in crystal form. I'm a super biased solo queue main and survivors DCing ruins the game for everyone. It's not even a two way street. Killer DCs and the game is over, Survivor DCs and we're in a 10 minute slugfest or a 15 minute farmfest. Both are terrible.

I agree both should be punished way more than they currently are. At least when killers dc it's just a queue to the next game, but when survivors dc it's just a slog for both sides. Even though I play more survivor right now that is how I feel. For me personally, when a survivor dc's on first down or maybe even second down I just stand in the middle(don't farm) and let the survivors escape asap. I don't care about bp and I am just trying to go next as fast as possible. A game isn't worth my time if it's over a min in. I was playing blight on fractured and playing terribly while immensely tired a week ago and a Makaila dced on 2nd hook with 2 gens left and 5 hooks total. A potentially intense end-game deleted by one survivors selfish desire to queue up 5 too many games.

What needs to go right now is suicide on hook though, it's just a free dc with no punishment. All of the defenses for it are less than mediocre at best.

I think I am in the minority as a killer main, but DCing will guarantee I get off dbd afterwards because of how bored it makes me. Most killers will probably 3 gen after someone gives up at 5 gens and make the game as gruesomely boring as possible.

For me the average killer is far more boring than the average survivor right now. BUT I am also going out of my way to never play before 12AM NA because that's when I actually get matched with something resembling my mmr. I do not tunnel so that could be a factor but even the 1 in 10 games I allow my self to run the supremely fluid add-on set of alch-ring/green-speed they still don't dc. I don't know if that's because I don't tunnel or the time but it works for me.

Ada, if you are reading this, you are an absolute legend never stop being you.

Jesus. I know you are completely biased twoards survivor in every way but people wanting people to not leave games early isn't entitlement.

You clearly have never played another multiplayer game in your life if this is the way you think. I'm just disappointed you feel this way and so many people agree with you, it's gross.

The last line you said basically makes everyone thing you say irrelevant to any conversation, you don't want to play a real game, you want to pick and choose. I'd recommend uninstalling if this is the way you feel.

  • @KolbyKolbyKolby said:

You can't force players to stay in matches they don't find fun. Whether that is based on a specific killer or playstyle, it doesn't matter.

No amount of complaining or calling people entitled will change this fact, and it applies equally to every role. You want a solution? Let people block specific killers, even if it increases their lobby time. Or disable the DC penalty when the bots replace them

Suggesting someone not play an entire game because 1 out of a roster of 32 is unfun for them, or in some cases causes actual sickness is a little ridiculous.

Some matches are going to be a waste of time and it's honeslty on the devs to find ways to solve that rather than expecting people to commit to the 1 out of every 20 matches when it's going to be a miserable time.

No actually you are completely wrong. There are ways to force people to either play the game or suffer penalties. This game is suffering the most right now playerbase wise because of all the DC's/afk's/giving up on hook(the biggest one).

This is the only community I have ever been apart of where people think like this. This game would be far healthier without a leave button. I am fine with a surrender button after 5 min when the game can be definitively considered over for either side, but yes you can be forced to eat a exponentially increasing penalty leading to a suspension if you don't want to play the game.

  • Knights not fun to play against, but the ada is far more wrong for giving up early. The last line is so true.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3442014#Comment_3442014

Yeah and that I agree with, but thats not something exclusive to Blight. All killers have maps that don't particularly favor them. I also don't believe a killer should have the ability to deal with basically any loop in the game, especially when that same ability can be used to shorten the distance in seconds after the Survivor leaves the loop

I agree with that for the most part. The issue with blight having collision issues is that other killers based on the collision of maps suffer from it worse than him. I can't imagine playing billy on garden, it's already somewhat hard for blight due to the sheer amount of collision. Most of the collision issues don't bother me but MacMillan was my favorite realm to play on until it went from 1 in 6 trees having bad collision to 1 in 2.

Also people discount 1 side of a tile not having collision around it far too much. Long wall on rotten fields suddenly becomes unplayable without double speed if there doesn't happen to be a random totem/chest/hook on one specific side. You can play many tiles differently depending on add-ons if you understand the collision around it as survivor. I'm not saying it happens a lot but there are many hits that could be avoided if survivors understood collision to a good degree. Although that's a hefty task for most killer players even, so I don't expect that to ever happen.

A LARGE majority of loops Blight can use his power, some are just harder than others

It really is map dependent at this point. The recent maps combined with their collision changes aimed at wesker has made even MacMillan unreliable collision. Borgo is all but supremely unplayable on large portions of the map. Most maps have fine collision for the most part though.

  • Both roles, it sucks.

    1) How would you use it in combination? Plz make sense of how you use 2 exhaustion perks simultaneously.

    2) Time? Timing a 0.5 second window with latency involved is 99% luck.

    3) Yes. Allowing an opportunity before unhook would still be a nerf, and would remove the annoying and unnecessary requirement. A killer main should not mind this because a good killer should only fall for one DH max. Why couldn't that one DH you fall for be before hook? I don't understand why that would even matter

    4) Killers are stronger in current DBD than they used to be. Old DH I don't think would be as much of an issue now. It certainly seemed to be less triggering than the hit-negation aspect it has now.

Maybe pre validation, but post god validation dh was terribly unskillful

  • It's a necessity that something be in the game in order to contest the highest level of survivors in some form. I personally think it should be blight who has a far high skill ceiling although his op add-ons reduce his skill ceiling by a fair margin. I'm all for nerfing base-kit nurse and 3-5 blight addons if high level survivor can be nerfed to a decent degree, but guess what? It's all but impossible to nerf high level survivor. It's just one good blight with add-ons or a good nurse can equal a good team and thus stomp the majority of survivors, compared to 4 Survivors.

    in Nurse Comment by Sava18
  • They remove dc penalty in this game and I will drop it for a few months again. Bots don't replace humans in anyway and Survivors giving up needs to be addressed more than anything balance oriented right now. At this point it's ruining my survivor experience far more than my killer experience even though I detest it from both sides. Unfortunataly bhvr wants to keep a leave game button with no penalty only for survivors and the community coninues to think it's normal for people to be able to stop playing a multiplayer game whenever without consequence.

Hurry people! Flood the thread about how "People Can't be forced to play a game they don't want to play". Yes, that's true for all multiplayer games, but no other game lets people ruin the game like this, not a single other game I have played besides CoD in the last decade which for me is only beneficial when a player not trying leaves in CoD.

Every single thing you think people can do to stop playing the game can be punished.

AFK, DC, Suicide(which is probably on the chopping block if bhvr knows whats good for the longevity of the game). Factor in BP, conspicuous actions outside of chase and exclude anyone under 50 hours and your fine. The community(survivors) are so conditioned to be able to leave at the sign of a fractured toenail that fixing innate problems like tunneling and camping will only reduce the rate of DC/Suicide by 20% if I am being fair. This community, I swear. ..

bait post because i ask who you would p100? how is that a bait? unless you dont think thalita and skull merchant are attractive enough to see every game til the p100?

I play blight, you think I care about attractiveness in any video game? The only point in difference survivors for me is that ability to not tunnel them as killer. I bought ferryman blight and based on the design of skins in this game that skin will never be topped for me personally.

Its funny you say it that way because top killers like blight with good add ons are the ones who tunnel the most

Idk why that's funny because I am specifically referring to myself and not the general blight player base who will probably use him to tunnel as he is exceptional at it. I am probably one of 10 killers in the entire world by my guess that hasn't kicked a gen in the last year and a half. I tunnel on very, very rare occasions and the only time I am camping is to force altruism in end-game which in itself is rare.

I stand by what I said. Most survivors would rather face me on blight than go against a tunneling clown or whatever trash killer trying to make up for their meh killer and terrible map design.

The people running the best stuff on blight or nurse for an extended period of time either aren't good at those killers or have never played a real competitive game before.

I could tunnel with alch-ring/green-speed every game with whatever garbage slowdown is meta at the time but I don't care to go on a 100 win streak. I already go out of my way to play at a time when survivors are playing the best for me in my region.

I think you have a point here. Even if M1 killers can be looped, there comes a point where they can just Bloodlust you, which removes the ability to outplay them. And most of the time it's not like those killers can miss their attack (not referring to console players who can be spun).

Killers who are skill intensive, like Whesker, Huntress, Blight etc. can be fun to play against. Nurse too. But if the bring their broken add ons, their weaknesses pretty much disappear and effectively their counterplay.

I do think even old killers, should have more skill baked into their kits, if they received a rework that would be good for the game.

The other issue I see with killers who have skill involved is that you can still play them as M1 killers. Obviously I don't wanna go against Wesker who will walk me down to M1 because he's too scared to use his power and he can get away with that play. I'd prefer it if they had to rely a lot more on their power than their M1, because it's their M2 that can be outplayed after all. And it's definitely not the same for all skill levels. I usually notice this with people who just got into their character or they're average. I'm of the idea that they should not be reliably getting kills that way. Those killers can have of the highest highs, their skill floor should be a tiny bit higher imo.

I know people like to say Nurse is hardest, but I do find that she can be extremely forgiving. I'm of course not the best at chases, but I try. Even if I've run the Nurse for a long time, this mistake of her of chasing the same survivor for a long time, is erased because she can just blink to any other gen/survivor. For other killers this time wasted is a lot more punishing, but not for the Nurse.

The only thing I would like to comment on here is the last paragraph. Nurse has the highest skill floor, that's it. Nurses skill ceiling doesn't even reach blights knees in terms of possible skill level. The notion that she is that hardest killer only shows me how inept the person talking is(not referring to you in any way). Blight is and always will be the highest skill ceiling killer and even if you factor in a 30% biased due to me being a blight main( so reduce his skill ceiling by 30%) and I will still be correct. Although my ability to negate my own bias has grown an incredible amount over the past several years.

With that out of the way I can talk about something that is far more tangible in the games people see on a regularly basis. Blight and Nurse are on the same level but the thresholds for that power level is quite different.

    1. The skill difference needed to pilot the killers to a decent extent: Blight obviously overtaking nurse
    2. The big one. Nurse has most of her power in her base-kit, probably 75% of her max strength. Blight on the other hand can gain a potential 300% power increase with the right add-ons and a general scenario(like too much altruism or sheer incompetents). If you are wondering how I got 300% just think about iri tag doubling single chase speed and then alch-ring getting you to the next chase with only (2 seconds?) downtime. Not to mention the better nemesis in a bottle comp add-ons we call c33 and even though I am addicted to green speed I can acknowledge how many hits it gets me.

The fact that Nurse can gain a mediocre increase in power level due to add-ons and blight has to match that with such disgustingly overturned add-ons is quite insane.

As far as I am concerned Wesker seems to be the most well designed killer in general while blight has an extremely well designed base-kit that can be increased to an absurd amount. I think that level of power being reserved for blight is only to combat the high potential of survivors.

  • People are far too black and white when it comes to dbd. A Clown main may feel the need to tunnel in order to secure a 2k vs worse opponents even though the player behind the clown could be consider a great killer in terms of base killer mind games and macro gameplay.

unfortunately for both sides majority of killers are not too skill expressive for either side. It doesn't matter how well you play for both sides when the killer in question doesn't have the capability or skill expression to act on their knowledge. Survivors looping a c tier killer for at least a minute(at least at the start of the match) should be expected.

These killers are in limbo balance wise because they really aren't great, but they can't be meaningfully buffed due to the nature of their kit and how awful it would be to face an A tier version of: Clown, Trickster, Doctor and quite a few others.

The Biggest problem with the community(not the game) is that killer players want to knowingly play bad killers and survivor players want to go against a chase oriented killer who will neither walk over them or get walked over by the survivors themselves. The aforementioned survivor players don't realize that its just far too easy to loop the basic chase killers on most maps and simply don't have the mindset or skill to go against the chase killers strong enough to give them the challenge they supposedly want. But say you are a good team who runs into a good blight, what happens if that blight is running the strongest 4 perks with c33 and green speed? That skillful chase that so many are after doesn't really happen anymore even though the killer is more than capable of it. It takes a lot of factors to add up to a balanced game with a chase oriented killer who happens to not tunnel or camp and survivors who also want the chase more than anything but also want the escape.

It really comes down to mmr and how it doesn't factor in varying builds into the equation. I can run shadowborn only one game and the go alch-ring/green-speed the next with my mmr barely changing and it barely affecting my mmr after that win. Same thing with survivors. Too much variation just in the pre-game lobby. Then you get into game and it happens to be GoP with the most disgusting connected loop around the entire map or old shelter with 7 pallets and 2 short-walls.

Far too much variation for both sides in regards to perks, killers, map, add-ons, items, skill and the actual intentions and wants the players go into game thinking about.

  • I really am curious of the opinion of all these people having someone getting tunneled out everygame. Would you Rather go against a blight with Vigo's/Green speed or a tunneling A tier killer or below? I have gotten flack once in the last 20 games from a survivor who only complained about me having bbq in my build.

As far as I am concerned most survivors would rather get 4kd by me while not getting tunneled than even get a 2E vs tunneling Bubbas.
