  • Me on my way to run Vigo's journal: 😅

  • Bait post as usual, but blight as always. I simply no longer poses the patience to hold w for longer than 10 seconds at this point. It's far too interactive and boring. Although my blight is no where near p100 simply because I bled 90% of my bp between 6.1.0 and auto-leveling update.

  • I mean, playing on a gtx 950 will do that to you.

  • Rarely as survivor. Of course all but never as killer.

Even the Knights I have been going against recently haven't tunneled me.

Although it could be an mmr thing. People may think mmr has no effect past the soft cap but I think when quick queue times are viable when taking into account mmr the system does so. I have gone out of my way to never play killer before 12AM NA because I get somewhat real matches when I do so. Playing before that time feels like I am wasting everyone's time.

The point is that my survivor mmr probably isn't that high and even if the queue is in my favor I probably am not going against killers try harding.

  • 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

I have no idea where the notion that wraith is A tier or even S tier came from, but I can't take it seriously.

Blight is S tier and directly comparable to nurse because his add-ons increase his strength by such an absurd amount. Wraith is not anything close to alch ring or c33 blight. There is no scenario where he is better than base-kit nurse. That's just S tier though.

Compare him to wesker or spirit and he still falls far below them in terms of consistency and power level.

  • Make shadowborn reveal the auras of survivors who are undetectable on top of it's current effect :).

    Lockers, distortion and whatever else.

Not sure that would be meta.

  • Looks like they got 500 props per square inch. As usual great looking, terrible to play.

  • @Steakdabait said:

it would be so easy to fix spawns too. Just use the code for that one survivor offering.

Personally I think it should be a 2/2 split perma

  • @Trollinmon said:

Making it so you can't kobe still doesn't fix the problem. You can't make players play a game they don't want to play. If they remove being able to kobe then ppl will just afk. They need to fix the reasons players are wanting to go next.

Nope this sentiment is widely held by the this community almost singularly.

Lets just say that players under 50 hours can be excluded from the system I'm about to explain

    1. Self unhooking gets removed besides deli
    2. Players that don't preform conspicuous actions or even X amount of points start racking up a background penalty, Excluding when they are in chase. Lets just go with points because that's likely more consistent and can't be worked around really.
    3. After enough of this penalty starts to add up, you get a warning and if this behavior is continued then you will receive a suspension.
    4. After one players is dead the system deactivates for all remaining players.

Consistent afking for either side gets removed from the game. Playing for hatch/gates the entire game would cease to exist. The notion that players will stop acting this way even if the games fundamental problems are fixed is just wrong, it may decrease a bit but it will still happen.

What I just came up with may not be the best way, but a similar thing should be implemented into the game no matter what. I have never been apart of a community so convinced that players should be able to stop playing whenever they want, all the time and with no penalty.

  • It's why I started hating dh so much. Common perks for survivors are pretty much just wesker/huntress for killers. The game becomes monotonous.

    What about Autohaven

You obviously thought of the quickest way to laugh before you thought of saying something useful

Wow. A decent balance change to a map out of the last 10.

  • "the devs are already fixing the maps"

    lmao

Speed running your post being disregarded. The last 2 maps and every rework but haddonfield has been survivor sided.

  • @PotatoPotahto said:

Just remove it completely. Its irredeemable. The colour palette is awful, pallet density is insane and visual design is also horrible, it looks like a pile of random props thrown on a platter.

    Most accurate description.

  • WR build on blight in terms of disgusting levels.

In terms inflicting mental damage, probably what pulsar said.

  • Yes, 150 hours and a little external watch time and you can be considered decent at the game. Decent does not equal good though.

  • Realistically the first thing that needs to happen is self unhooking has to go. Until that happens dc's don't mean anything. Killers DCing doesn't really bother me because everyone is just out but of course they should still eat the penalty. Survivors just get to leave the game pretty much.

yeah, and in league, if someone DCs or AFKs for 90 seconds of teh first 3 minutes, the other members get the ability to vote to remake the lobby.

After the 3:30 second mark, early surrenders become available if you have a DC.

The 15-minute surrender is for a match where no one else has disconnected or is AFK.

It is beyond rare for someone to leave before 3:30. I have played league for over a decade, it's something that happens intentionally 1 in 1000 games MAYBE. This comparison doesn't make sense. I compare dbd to league because league actually punishes people for their terrible behavior regardless of what it is. League is still known as the most toxic and petty player base but that hasn't been the case in a long, long time now. You can't curse much, you can't leave more than 2 games before being suspended for weeks, you can't afk and if your score/level/damage/whatever is an indicator of trolling over multiple games then you get a suspension as well. DBD by comparison endorses this behavior, with hook suicides and the small inconvenience of a dc penalty.

Even the most well known people on these forums still come up with some excuse as to the fact that people will always find a way to not play. No, it's simply the devs choice to allow this. If a survivor has 3k points with less than X chase time at the end of the game, then they were trolling the game. If you didn't do a conspicuous action for X amount of time with less than X chase time then you were trolling. If there needs to be some sort of forgiveness for the first 25 hours, that's fine but after that these players need to be playing to a degree. People think it will help kill the game, on the contrary it will help heal the game. There is a large snowball effect of tilt because survivors will just give up early and ruin it for everyone else. Guess what? Players going through that will eventually give in and abuse the same systems because they know the penalty is all but non-existent.

Kill rates being balanced around 60-65% makes sense when so much of the survivor player base isn't just outright bad(they are[really the entire player base]) but also not trying to win.

  • @ElodieSimp said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/375729/why-is-dcing-seen-as-a-bad-thing

Comes down to the killer wanting the points. You'll see killers give the argument with "You're ruining the chance for your team" yet they'll tunnel and camp one person out from the start so they can 3v1, even at 5 gens left. If someone DC's, basically fast tracking the 3v1 they eagerly want (less pressure, easier game) it becomes an "injustice".

Except most people on this forum that complain about are either survivor mains or non tunneling killers. This argument is always used but it's just made up lol.

  • If there are scenarios that will make you dc, then don't queue up. Especially something as common as tunneling.

I really can't express enough how this is the only community I have been apart of in a long time where dcing is acceptable. This isn't cod, I can't 1v9 the game and go 40 and 0 down 2 people.

My statement was direct and clear. Wraith is good against low to average-skilled players, and can hold his own against higher-skilled players as well.

Players do call Huntress (and Wesker; it was like the topic for weeks after his release, after his nerf, after his etc) weak. You seem to be living in some sort of alternate realm where Nurse & Blight aren’t perceived as the litmus for a killer’s strength.

    They are delusional then.

Nurses base kit is broken. Blight's power is pretty much exponential with his add-ons. People saying huntress and especially wesker are weak in another world.

  • I know most Blights tunnel but if I had to tunnel every game I would stop playing real quick. If someone is dead by hook 7 min then I feel good about the game. I understand people complaining about their characters not being able to win without tunneling, but just know these low tier killers will never be able to buffed enough to not in the current state of the game.

  • @C3Tooth said:

Until the tunneled survivor DC or suicide on hook. Suddenly they care about the other 3 survivors' fun...

Majority of the people who complain about that aren't tunneling, at least I don't. When I play survivor, the people that do that haven't even had the chance to get tunneled yet.

  • @SkeletalElite said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3428011#Comment_3428011

Yes but a league match typically lasts much longer than a dbd match. Around 30 minutes long.

20 minutes is a long match for DBD, with typical matches being more in the 10-15 minute range.

So allowing players to concede 5-8 minutes in would be comparable

But people "surrender" at 1 min in dbd individually.

  • @SkeletalElite said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3427994#Comment_3427994

League of Legends has surrender votes, which is basically the same thing

    At 15 min, yeah....

  • @Spectralfx said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3427934#Comment_3427934

    I disagree.

You can't force someone to endure an unfun match.

They will AFK, they will run to the killer to get hook... heck they will even lead the killer to other survivors if they have to.

Let people dc, its also karma for toxic behaviors and bad maps.

DBD player mentality is so laughable! No other multiplayer pvp game community advocates for such terrible bhvr.

OH NO I got froze on top lane and can't play without help from multiple players, guess Ill just dc or afk. OH, wait. If you do either of those even semi-often you get banned from the game quickly.

Such a conceded selfish player base.

  • Anything that doesn't disrupt playing the game semi-efficiently. When people are forced to throw for a challenge it's bad.

Sadly most disrupt the game flow to some degree.

  • I remember when boil over was at full power after the rework and I was sent to dead dawg by a 2-man swf. They would just run to the same place in main on repeat and after a few attempts I just bled them to death no matter how much the other 2 would try to help. All I got in post game was "killers take the game too seriously". They don't even know what they want me to do at the point.

  • Why take a late game value perk other than adrenaline though? Blood rush isn't weak by any means but adrenaline is stronger and more consistent in value. Getting hit off of hook makes blood rush lose a lot of value, it's why otr is underused. I don't think getting hit straight off hook every game happens as often as people on the forum make it out to be, but it happening twice in a row or not getting tunneled that game can make it seem like the perk is worthless. OTR, DS and dh is still one of the strongest builds in the game atm, but it relies on the killer playing a certain way.

  • @Ayodam said:

The general attitude of killer mains in these forums is that if a killer isn’t on par with Nurse or Blight, they’re weak. Wraith is good, exceptionally so against low to mid-tier survivors (which is where most survivor players fall). But he isn’t super competitive against exceptionally skilled survivors nor should he be. Because they’re exceptionally skilled.

When you state something is good in a video game and you mean against not decent players, then you have to specify that. That really is just common sense.

Also I don't think many people in these forums agree with you about the general perception of killers compared to blight and nurse. You'd be hard pressed to find more than a few people calling huntress and wesker weak and if you did, they would be laughed out of the post.

  • @HugTechLover said:

It’s not new. Been around for awhile. But it only works in certain places and can be countered by looking down. (Atleast for blight)

^. Only blight as far as I am aware. Really funny seeing people try it out against me not understanding it can be countered.

  • I say this on all these threads, but the backing for it is disgusting. Never seen a community be so prone to this behavior. Almost like all other games deny it.

As much as you all say if this behavior is punished they will just find a way around it, there are ways to make it near impossible.

No self unhook, factoring in chase time and any other objective to understand if someone was actually afk, scoreline without being in chase. League is a prime example of toxicity and giving up being all but removed from the game. It doesn't matter that the game is a completely different genre, these tactics towards players ruining matches can transfer over.

  • The licenses never meant even a little to me. I started playing because of a friend and blight is by far the best thing to come out of this game. Positive.

This opinion shows a lack of experience and immature mentality. Wraith is put to Tier B doesnt mean he cant go higher Tier by other players who have a better understand of him.

"Immature mentality" yeah ok. I'm stating a near fact in relation to killers above him. Immature would imply I am an under developed human. Like I said in another reply. He can traverse the map fast, have a better chance of winning at filler tiles and is add-on dependent. There is little to understand in a killer so simple. In a game so simple, saying Wraith requires more than a simple understanding of the game and mechanics is beyond laughable. Telling me I'm immature in relation to Wraith, I just can't 🤣.

Anyone who unironically discounts a player based on the killer they play, automatically loses points,.

You as a player didn't get discounted on the killer you are playing. You may be an insane killer player, but wraith is not good. You can make any killer work vs most of the players in this game if you are that good, but that doesn't mean he is good. s

  • @Pink_Ronin said:

Wraith is A-tier right now. They should have never removed the lightburn mechanic, you basically need to be right on top of a really good tile when you're spotted or you're taking a hit.

It's almost like the second you realize you are playing against wraith, you play around it. Saying he is low A tier is just laughable.

He's got decent map traversal, is add-on dependent and uncloaking wins him some filler pallet interactions. Not a lot going on with him.

  • @Wowie said:

The biggest issue with removing DH as it was is that clutch saves are no longer possible against instadown killers camping a hook.

There's no way at all to counter camping anymore.

    Congrats, BHVR.

And for some reason your community cheers it on! Great work fellas!!!

True! It's almost like pre 6.1.0 dh when it had god validation for 10 months was the worst thing to play against ever! You can clutch onto it like tunneling shouldn't be fixed via the base game, but that perk was alch-ring/green speed level disgusting.

You know how it feels terrible to play against a high ping killer? Imagine that but 5X worse in regards to dh.

  • He is weak, one screenshot means nothing. At the very least, he isn't strong. If wraith can be considered strong than killer is just straight up broken as a role.

  • @TonyXSplash said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3423186#Comment_3423186

No he is not. Blight is the strongest killer and the easiest. Blight is far stronger and way easier than nurse.

Map pressure is a skill you have to learn but Blight get free map pressure by only using double speed add-ons.

Tell me about any other killer that can hook a survivor then immediately check all his generators and go back to the hook all while using 5 rushes. WOW.

Are you ok? I literally said his skill floor is an m1 killer that moves across the map at atleast double the speed. That's the minimum value you get out of the killer is and super super easy. What made you go off, idk. His skill ceiling is indisputably the highest though.

  • IMO slugging is wayyyy more interactive than tunneling and camping. Slugging is and has always been fine.

  • His skill floor is a m1 killer with double the speed to move across the map. His skill ceiling is far above any other killer.

  • Nemesis will always tunnel, jill just gives him direction.

I still don't think it's statistically possible for this to be a majority of matches to I cannot see why devs should be in any rush to fix this. Face it man, you're in a minority of people

DBD is the only community where I have seen this selfish terrible mechanic that ruins games endorsed by not only the community but also the devs. It's simply disgusting.

It's crazy that as a blight main I have to speak for other survivor's who abuse this mechanic that is beyond outdated, because my survivor games in mid elo are unplayable.

I get it, the most competitive game you have played is dbd so you think this sort of thing is ok. I can't blame you for thinking that way after playing this game so much but any real video game player would disagree with you. Go play cod if you want this non-sense.

aren't you the guy who said you played the night shift and don't have much time to play?

it truly is impeccable how you people don't see it from the other person's perspective. what if someone, who also worked the same hours as you, decided they didn't want to play through a match because they only have so much time to play and didn't want to play through an unfun match?

sure, you can argue they should eat a full dc penalty for that, and i don't even disagree, but i feel you only view it from your perspective and treat these other people like they're from the fifth layer of hell. they're players, just like you.

THAT"S MY POINT. People are dcing in non-tuneling/camping wraith games more than my alch ring blight games. 1 in 10 games I will knowingly abuse a busted add-on because the fluidity of that add-on combined with blights base kit is unmatched, but it's rare for a dc. On the other hand the non tunneling basic killers deserve to be rq vs right???

  • @TiredofHackers said:

True, but as I said it does not work like that if you solo que. One troll survivor can tank a game. I also said both sides soooo I was not just defending survivors

I mean that's the thing, you can never balance around players who don't play atleast somewhat to win. That's the problem with solo queue, there's someone DCing, rage quit, opening justs or just hiding. I can't imagine how hard the game is to balance from stats when looking at how many players are trolling.

As killer if i see a early dc i kill 2 people and let the last one go most of the time, unless killing the last survivor is faster. There's no reason stressing out over someone else's dc, just end the match. Saying the match is "ruined" is a bit much. And I don't get your point about being fine playing with bots instead, most matches don't have dcs that affect the match too heavily, why would I play with bots instead lol

If you like survivors to dc when playing killer, then you might as well play against bots as the game is 100% free. I'm not stressing, but the outcome is already determined so it becomes work for me.

I guess if the only semi-competitive game you have ever played is dbd, then you would enjoy completely walking over your opponent without any chance of being able to throw the game away.

what makes speed too good imo is alch ring

I am a certified green speed addict. When staked with yellow speed it almost comes down to collision to counter, or absurdly good tiles.

  • Typically MacMillan and Autohaven are the most fun to play on because they are likely the most fair. I enjoy cold wind because I like the tiles and the challenge but I have that luxury as a blight player.

not really. i feel you take the game too seriously if your game's seriously ruined by someone not wanting to play in a match.

The game is instantly over and boring for both sides after a rage quit. People who play killer and think rq keeps the game the same amount of fun are boring players and realistically should be fine just playing bots at that point.
