So I other words it's fine he has an oppressive chase ability because I'd 1v4 and you can gen rush him. Cool this convo Is over. Gen rushing an splitting on gens is boring and ends the game too quickly. Chases are fun if i cant have fun doing that then might as well winter switch sides.
You're right that chases are fun but chasing a single survivor for all 5 gens, being able to chain loops just because of the RNG is not fun for the killer either.
-
Well, as a main survivor I love going against him but the main reasons why people dislike him are
He can avoid flashlight saves
He can avoid DS and BT (Two meta perks)
Cages counts as a hook state
If you're in the dying state and tormented he can mori you if you're in your last hook.
Sabo squads can't attempt to sabotage the hooks to free the survivor
You can't loop him, or chain loops with him. He can leave a trail and you're "forced" to step on it.(I have writted forced since they're not really forced, they just refuse to run away from that extra safe pallet where they can force you to spend 5 minutes chasing them and then, dead hard into the pallet.
If they step on the trail, you will have killer instinct so even if there's a wall/ rock or pallet you can guess where they will go and go for your ranged attack. Something that only Nurse's can do, and she is considered unfun to go against as well.
They can't vault and abuse the twu wall windows since you can use PH ranged attack

Hatch was never added for this purpose?
Hatch is in the game since launch. The only purpose is to give the last survivor a chance to escape, not to prevent hostage situations. EGC was added to do that.
That's not right. If you were right then the survivor shouldn't have to do 2 gens from the start of the game. The hatch was made to avoid a +30 min game, and yet when the killer found the hatch, he just would stand there waiting for the survivor as long as it took. EGC and hatch closing was added to avoid the looking contest in the hatch.
Ask the devs if you want.

I thought Peanits answered the post and wanted to vote up his answer hahahahaha.

Well, my brother is main Hillbilly and he never overheat addon-less. There are times where it's not wise to use your chainsaw. You know? If you used it just because it was easier to stump in a wall and then using the chainsaw again that's on you. Is not about survivors "forcing" you, it's about you knowing when it's wise to use your chainsaw and when it's not.
Look, even myself who I am a bad billy and used his M2 all the time for practice never overheated, and that's because I took small times where I re-position myself.

Is description not misleading then? It is a bit ambiguous as it can be interpret as "they just have to step on them" and "when they step on it, you have to pick them up; when they free you won't get any progress".
I'm not saying we should change whole achievement because i understand it poorly, but could we get a bit more thorough description in some future patches? I'm halfway done with it, but maybe some other achievement hunters will be grateful for one clear meaning.
I think thread can be closed (not sure how moderation works here).
In spanish is more or less the same, I mean with the description misleading a bit.
-
I didn't thought that people can defend this kind of behaviour and say it's normal. I suggest a timer when there are just two survs left, if no gens are done/touch and the killer doesn't commit to a chase/hit in let's say 2 mins then the end game collapse will trigger and the hatch remains closed as well.

No creo poder terminar.

I'd say casual turn into competitive. I mean, the idea is to have fun and chill but some people are very tryhard and rage if they don't win.

I do believe plaid flannel should be base-kit since when you already trained your muscle memory it's like you already have it. And besides. knowing where you will land doesn't mean you will know how to hit a survivor.
-
Well, I see that on console is harder to blink as nurse due to the controler, personally I like Nurse even though I didn't master her,
Also to state how different Nurse and Spirit are...
Spirit: Oh no, they threw a pallet on me, I need turn around the pallet in order to hit the survivor.
Nurse:

Dropping a Pallet and vaulting it so that the Killer cannot break it, but instead picks up the Survivor, which results in a Flashlight Save.
If a Killer knows about that, they can simply press M1 instead of Space and they are good.
It seems like one of the worst "techs" I have ever seen.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Well, I had two Console-Aces with Flashlights today. I told my SWF-Friend that those are probably guys who dominate Console Killer but will suck against a PC-Killer.
And well... They tried to go for Flashlight Saves. We got 4 Gens done and the Killer got two Hooks (one of the Aces and myself), went after me after I got unhooked, I got downed. The one Ace did not finish the last Gen, but wanted to go for a Flashlight Save. Which works very well, because Killers are blind and they dont see Scratchmarks (/s)... So he went down.
The other Ace, instead of just waiting until Legion picked me up (for a Pallet Save) threw the Pallet and attempted a CJ-Tech, which only works against bad Killers (really, Kids - dont trust the Youtube-Videos, this works like 1 out of 20 games), was injured and down shortly afterwards. We lost this game.
So, completely different experience from you. It is not the platform, its the players. Some Console Survivors are awful, some are good. You probably got unlucky that you got good Survivors that often in a Row, but I would not base it on the Platform at all.
Whaat's the CJ tech?

And while you do that 2 gens or more are popping lol.
The only nerf DS need is being disabled if other survivor is hooked, if I hook a survivor and I spot and catch you again in less than 60 seconds since your last hook I'm being punished for playing good, I'm not tunneling and the perk lost the purpose of being an anti tunneling perk.
Since when DS is an anti-tunnel perk?
-
No, if we compare Nurse against Spirit, Spirit is a low risk high, reward killer and Nurse is a very high risk (part of her being ther hardest is because the map has dead zones and she is bugged), very high reward. Spirit is tied to the map laws. Unable to go through a pallet, window or wall, wich guarantee a lowest reward than nurse. Nurse can blink through walls, windows, pallets making the entire map a mined zone to survivors. She is literally very fun to play since you can really feel the killer substance with her, there's no place to hide, no place to run to avoid her. And even that, she has counterplay.

I only played it like 3 times so I don't even remember. Every time I was Jason people quit and when I was a counselor. If I died early I had to sit there and watch everyone else place until it ended if I wanted my exp. If I want to watch people play a game I'll go to youtube or twitch.
I never had the chance to be Jason on a public match. Just counselor but the comment is right about pressing different buttons, although I agree it is better than just pressing M1 and waiting for the RNG to trigger any skill check.

It would be extremelly boring to play then.

So you wanna play the game, but only against people easy enough to 4k? So you enjoy playing single player games on easy settings I assume
That's a falacy you're in there. He never said that. He said that he wants to play against survs with their same skill.
-
Not really. It's not a bad perk but I find other perks more appealing, like Blood Pact.
-
I think 20 it's a bit too much but changing the odds to 5% doesn't sounds too bad, you have a 1/20 chances to escape.
Also as many suggested, a rework of the luck mechanic will be ideal.
-
Honestly I haven't played a lot against PH users but since PH has torment and a bit more dynamism than other characters, he is fun to play with, and since he's an anti-loop killer seems people who play him, enjoys it more and are not that sweaty.

Touché! One-time use only, however. Guess I should have been more specific. You got me good though! 😉
I think the basic problem was the big amount on the perk, I mean it was 75% all the time, even if you were exhausted. I do believe 25% while you're exhausted is not that "big deal" and will make it feel useful.
PS: It's not the purpose of the thread but I believe Adrenaline is unfair and should be tweaaked a bit, meaning someone that didn't progress on the match can be rewarded for the progress of their team.

Adrenaline? 😀

I don't have a problem with Claudette's, it was the first one I prestiged because... well, because her skin it was harder to see. Now I do have problems as a killer when I see some people not doing anything for the team. And sometimes when I see the team leaving behind someone on hook when they can clearly save him it makes me want to unhook said person myself and let him go while I kill everyone else. I really hate when they open the exit gates and stay there wanting to troll the killer when there's a buddy left behind. I really feel bad for the poor survivor.

dude it’s better graphics, why wouldn’t you want a better looking game?
it helps immersion and will probably make things a lot more spooky, i absolutely hate maps like mothers dwelling and the junkyard maps because everything has such an ugly blue-green wash over it.
as long as it doesn’t majorly affect fps(i’m on console) then yeah I totally want new better graphics like the ones in the ptb rn.
it’ll also help bring in more players because the better design wise looking game the more eye catching it’ll be to wandering eyes.
OP never said that, OP said that would like more than that, that they actually fix bugs or gameplay problems.

Surveillance is a great perk after the rework, stop complaining for a side-effect that came from a bug. The perk still will be useful and no, it won't "hurt it a lot".

Pass 2 weeks I used Plungderer, Ace, Pharmacy. I died most of the time (85%), survivors are also dominated at 0 escape.
Last weekend I used DS, Lithe, Window Opportunity. The chance to escape increased alot, there were also many time able to 2-3 escape. And that was ONLY me changed to use better perks, and not even full meta.
For me, they must limit the sycn of many 2nd chance perks go together. To decrease the possible outcome of meta. Or adding requirements like Deliverance / for the people to DS and Unbreakable
Well, being honest I am using DS less and less everytime and it's the only "meta" that I use. I escape often if the team is playing well but almost have no escape if I am the only doing gens, rescuing and so. Meta perks can be annoying but in the end it depends on skill, of course if you depend on the 4 second chance perks it's because you're not that good in-game
-
Well, survivor not entitled here and I have read your post, your idea sounds good on paper but on practice it will cause the same kind of abuses. Shall we see them? In example EGC has started but you're not hooked near the exit gate, right now if you reach them within 40/50/60 secs (because tier matters) you still will be able to use, now it is abused BUT it is within 60 secs at tier III, meaning if they crawl for more than a whole minute and you pick them up you're safe now with new DS you will get screwed up no matter what as a killer and yes, the forum will start complaining with "What the (bad word) behaviour? You were supposed to nerf DS yet you made it stronger" and stuff like that.
Now, let's suppose I have a teammate who only knows how to gen-rush and even if he unhooks you, he is unwilling to heal you whatever the reason is, so you start completing a gen in hope that he heals you, but oh surprise the killer is ghostface and hit you. You can tell me "Then it was the other survivors fault, not the killer" which is not wrong BUT the killer in fact tunneled him so, as supposedly DS should be an anti-tunnel perk. Why should you get privated of the use of said perk?
Oh, and before you call someone entitled you might need to check that you´re not seeing the survivor point of view as well, so you're being a bit biased. I do agree it needs some sort of change but what might come as a clear idea it might be not if you think a bit more on it.
Also. The devs might be kind of irresponsable in some ways but is not only tweaking the perk, it's seeing if that "tweak" will be useful. If the new DS will bring the same headaches as this DS then Why bothering in changing i t?
P.S: I dislike the new Billy

I believe most people learn that two wrongs don't make a right round about the time they left school if not before.
I'm sorry but nothing excuses the attitude in the original post and the ones that follow it up with the 'Hell Yeah!' Attitude.
Should I go onto my game system and start sending killers sexual assault threats, wishes for cancer and their mother dying, because the killers who used to routinely send that to me, a player who never used a meta perk or BM'd a killer, didn't seem to care that it might make my gaming experience less fun?
There is no 'justice' because you have no idea if the player who's life you are making miserable, actually in any way deserves it. So i mean....justify it however you like if it makes you more comfortable, i can't control your actions, but you'll never convince me there is any justice to this childish behavior, and that goes for survivors who taunt their opponents too.
Nah, I am not toxic, just saying I can understand people who are. Besides I am not playing DbD since a few days.
-
@SoylentPixie said:
So let me get this right. You get cross play, which increases que times and might improve things a bit, and your first response is to purposly rally people to go out and teach people a lesson for daring to make the best of the platform they are on.
To directly quote you on another thread.....
"the things we were talking about was about the pc killer mains making console survivors miserable"
A good portion of console players are opting out due to FPS issues. Keep up this kind of attitude and the players that have decided to stick it out will just not bother. And I'm not talking about you winning or knowing you have an advantage, I'm talking about the general attitude. Because nothing will make console players feel unwelcome more than crap like this thread, making the opt-out button far more desirable.
Not trying to say you're wrong but as OP had said many SWF console players didn't care if the console killer could play at all. Even if they did they best with the low FPS they would still bother him and sending a message "LOL, noob. Baby killer" and etcetera. I am not saying every player is a salty one but I do believe it's justice when they did as they pleased on console and now as PC are "better" than them they opt to DC due to how "unfair" It is. Now they didn't care how unfair it was on a console nurse, as an example with the click click and stuff and their toxic behaviour.
-
Well, as a matter of fact Hag is not white as it's shown in the videos. Besides. You speak about racism but you have problems because all the other characters are white? Who's the racist one? Seriously what's your problem? And I mean really, it's like if there is a TV show, they can be all black characters and there is no problem, but let put a TV show with only white characters and I hear bragging "Why there is no black characters? Kind of racist Are we?" I do believe some can't stand watching white people, and don't start with the "Historical reasons" because that's not a valid reason.

OP is talking about DS/unbreakable, not DS on its own. DS/unbreakable really is 60 seconds of invulnerability. They can get off the hook and immediately start doing a gen in your face. You can't grab them without being stunned, you can't slug them without them just getting back up, you can't properly punish them for it basically.
They pick up themselves? Great, they don't have UB anymore. Unless they run Soul Guardian which is a pretty rare perk.
They stun you with DS? Great, DS doesn't work anymore, you can free tunnel him.
But he is saving it to the end...That's a strategy, like the killer can tunnel/camp/slug if the situation calls it. In a card game you save the best for last generally.
-
Well. I don't really get the 60 secs of invulnerability idea. I mean the timer goes active when you're unhooked as a survivor, if the timer has 60 seconds it's because you tunneled, in most of my plays you barely have 10 or 5 seconds left if the killer finds you. And DS is fine in most situations, of course there are some times where the survivors seems to earn a "free escape" but that's really a tactic, if a survivor jump in a locker, EGC active then it's your fault for open the locker, the EGC timer is two mins so in that moment you can wait for him in the locker, and the other players generally are at the exit gate so Why bothering yourself just to try to hook someone faster if you know that you can't hook the others? You just can wait in the locker, either the survivor will try and run to the exit gate or the EGC will kill him.
-
Not trying to brag but, with the old Bubba I got the 2 achievements before his rework. He is way better now, I am not saying you will 4K constantly but, you can improve and have many fun games with new bubba

Ah yes, because players who totally suck at the game never got all the way to Red Ranks before because Killers either farmed, Hex: Ruin was changed, etc. No possible way, every Rank 1 Survivor/Killer should be the "best of the best" and didn't get their by luck or anything.
You're missing the point, there is a difference between not knowing how to play than knowing but being a potato. A potato can loop and even be toxic to a "baby killer", a novice can't do that.

Even if you're not the best of the best, there is a difference from "not knowing anything at all" to "knowing everything but being bad". The first ones won't know how to play properly since they are new, the second ones if they have a good map or so, they might handle a 5 gens chase.

It's super frustrating. I can't count the number of times that I've gone in for a save on a teammate, only for them to purposefully kill themselves just as I get there. I always give them a thumbs down negative review afterwards through the in-game system, but I'm assuming that the devs don't look over those negative reviews for possible rule infractions so that those players can actually be punished for trolling teammates.
How do you know if they did that in purpose? Sometimes my teammates leave me on hook until the second stage and then proceed to press a, but I have some problems in my brain that makes me feel tired really quickly (yes, even for an action such as tapping) and sometimes it just "disables" my thumb for a short moment but long enough for the game to kill me. And sometimes they come in the second stage and sometimes they're closer and I am like "Why?"

Not trying to defend anybody but. Do you call people a baby for what? This is a game, no one force you to certain playstyle, if they want to lobby dodge, they are allowed to do it. And second, you know that Franklin's is for a paid DLC right? Not everyone can pay DLC's.

For the rest of us, say huntresses starting at a Hawkins or nurse’s looking at a Lery’s it’s disheartening and just one more extreme advantage over you.
Excuse me but Lery's is a great map for nurse, if you bring aura reading perk that's it. Well, with the new aura changes... it's horrible.
