When I first tried using Syringe/Styptic, I thought I had to hit a skill check to use it. Nope, just hit the button at any time (besides a skill check), and it'll use it. I believe my team ended up losing because of my ignorance. Can't remember, though.

I just want to get Vigil, Pharmacy, and/or Object of Obsession to appear in the Shrine already. I want to have all the survivor perks, but I don't want to have to buy the licensed chapters in order to do so. I guess I'm going to have to anyways, tho.

I said that she has an advantage over OTHER SURVIVORS, dumbshit. I am upset that there are so many P3 Claudettes who have distinct advantages. But hey. Keep using that big brain of yours to project your point and ignore others, despite never once addressing the valid and stated issue at hand, which is not that I cannot find them, but that she has an advantage over other survivors.
I swear, ######### idiots like you are why nothing ever gets better. No one wants to hear your non-sequiturs. One thing in that giant ass post of yours is even close to relevant, and everything else is just you bragging that you think you are good.
So, do you want all survivors to have similar/same color palettes?

One time I had a mori ritual for the Nurse, and so I thought, "Why not try?" (I play on console, so Nurse is a bit difficult). I put on a yellow mori, because that's all I had, and I tried to get a 4k. I was pretty boosted at first, but I eventually killed 2 people and I left the 3rd bleeding out on the ground while I searched for the other. The other person just hid until the person bled out, (I now realize, I should have just picked up the downed person and let them wiggle off, so that I would have more time to get the other person). The person who was still alive messaged me, telling me that I might as well kill the downed person, because they were choosing to hide and then get the hatch. I didn't comply, cuz I wanted my daily. They got the hatch and then they messaged me, calling me sweaty garbage. I just asked, "If I was such garbage, why were you hiding like a b*tch?" We kept trading insults and he said that I was a typical killer main, because I apparently thought that "I ought to always 4k" or something along those lines (I'm a survivor main, btw). I then told him that it's people like him that make survivors look bad, and he stopped messaging me after that.

@Saint_UkraineI may be young, but I know ren and stimpy! Btw don’t pee on the electric fence. :b
I loved that episode. I wish they still had Ren and Stimpy on Netflix.

Lots of asking I've seen around is people wanting to switch to PC to some console or console to PC and have their items, level, perks, etc.
That'd be awesome. Might even be the start of cross platform for DbD.
-
Why, thank you.
-
Yeah, it's really unfair as well when your team is too good and the killer is tunneling one survivor the entire match and when you've all finished your gens and escape, you get terrible Evader and Benevolent emblems. Like, it's not my fault that the killer is bad. And it's not my fault that my team isn't bad.
-
I don't know. Little Bear was nice. I'm not sure if I've ever really had a favorite. Spliced was a crazy one. I also enjoyed Ren and Stimpy; that was basically Loony Toons on crack. Funny as hell.
-
I don't know about all that. All I know is that it's certainly not worth running over most other perks.
-
I used Kindred the other day, and no one came for me. I died on my first hook. Bunch of f*cking a**holes. Took that sh*t off and put on perks to help prevent my getting hooked in the first place.

(Cross-post, I figured this space might be a better one to post a large discussion on, support and discussion on the document would be appreaciated!) https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/091/7SX5XNOHXJJZ.docx Here I have attached a word document of my thought-out ideas to bring more health, viability, and variety to many lesser used survivor perks.
Well, that took a while to read. I like your idea for Wake Up; suggesting that it reveals your aura to other survivors when interacting with things like generators and chests on top of gates.
I wish that Lightweight quieted your footsteps on top of the scratch marks disappearing faster.
I originally was excited about Autodidact, because I typically like to heal, and healing fast asf would be amazing. But like you said, it's typically not preferable over BK or WMI. Usually, on each heal you'll get 2 skill checks, maybe 3 if you're lucky. So, you have to heal 2 different survivors before Autodidact actually starts doing what it's meant to do.
I agree that Dance With Me should have the scratch marks disappear for a longer period of time.
Detective's Hunch should also have it's time increased. I feel like I barely get to look at anything while I'm running away from the generator before it all disappears.
Boil Over should definitely should get a buff of some sort. Someone was actually able to do some good with it on me the other day, but that was the first I've ever seen it work in general.
Left Behind and Sole Survivor are just trash perks. Yeah, they do what they're intended to do, but requiring people to die, (exactly what I want my fellow survivors NOT to do) makes them such undesirable perks.
I agree with the No Mither thing. Yeah, I have infinite recovery, but the killer knows that too, so why would they leave me on the floor? It's worked for me once, and that was when I was a beginner.
I feel like Slippery Meat actually reduces my chances to kobe. It doesn't, but it just seems like a perk that allows you to fail more. Maybe if it gave you luck as well? But then I suppose that would remove the purpose of Up the Ante..
I strongly agree with your thoughts on Technician. Yeah, sometimes it'll save you from that generator explosion, but the reduced repair noise is so pointless. Regardless of whether I hear repairing or not, I always check a generator that's making noise.
I've discussed We're Gonna Live Forever with others a few times, and most people agree that you should be able to get tokens for healing other survivors for the equivalence of 1 health state, or at least something along those lines.
Last thing I have to say, really, is that I think Lithe should have a passive ability like Balanced Landing. It oughta have a faster vaulting speed. It is a vaulting based perk after all..

Thanks for the comment! I was hoping for some discussion on ideas in the document, as we need more variety and use in the perks we have currently.
@Panduh Understandable.

I would love it if all characters were present in the same match. It might even open up a new possibility of a lore-based mori. Imagine the Legion crowding around a survivor and all stabbing them to death? That would be awesome. I like that you would make the idle characters still interact with survivors, by the way. I don't know if this would be overpowered or not, but coming from a survivor main, I'm not entirely opposed. :)

I can't see the harm in all of them, even if you wiggle or are flashlight saved you'd still leave a bloody trail if you aren't running No Mither. IMO it's just there to end a chase early but if your already hit I can't see you getting far or losing the killer.
In that case, I see no problem with it.
-
At the moment, the only good idea I can think of is a perk that allows survivors to pick up pallets for reuse. That, or a perk that allows pallets to be repaired, but I prefer the first one.
-
I am entitled
The survivors have made rules
You must let me live
-
So, in general? Pallet stun, Flashlight stun, DS, Wiggling out of the killers grasp, Head On would all activate this perk, or just pallet stuns?
-
Good luck on the translation.
-
Fighting Spirit- This perk seems fine for the most part, but it shouldn't have to be activated manually, in my opinion.
Self Defence- Good luck sweeping large killers off of their feet. How're you going to do it to Myers? He picks the survivor up off of the ground! I don't think that you should be able to counter mori's, but if you want to waste a perk-slot for a maybe-they-have-a-mori-offering-or-Devour-Hope situation, then you can go for it.
Potent Liberator- I don't know if you've heard, but there's this perk called Mettle of Men..
Planned Assault- Absolutely not. Negating the survivor's ability to ever even get a chance to use a pallet would be OP. I also don't think that a killer should have the ability to permanently block a window. That would make maps like the Game impossible.
Long Lasting Torment- A perk that face-camps for you? Wow, just what we all need.
Momentum- I don't even know about this one. I'm not sure it would be worth it if your generator patrolling is going to be slow asf.
-
No. Mori's aren't even that good. Uncommon is unlikely to get used unless you decide to sweat for a 4k. Rare can only be used on a single survivor that has been hooked. Ultra Rare, while being a tad cancerous, costs a good number of bloodpoints and getting a 4k with a mori will not get you as many bloodpoints as a 4k achieved via hooking. And you still have to earn the mori via hooking.
-
Outlast- Takes place in an asylum. Plenty of scary aspects. Not too difficult, but if you want it to be, you can play on Nightmare. The Whistleblower DLC is also quite good. Protagonists do not talk in either the main game, nor the DLC. You can't fight back.
Outlast II- Takes place in a creepy desert town full of cult-members. Very gruesome compared to the first. Protagonist speaks. I haven't finished this one, but it's shaping up to be almost as good as the first. You can't fight back.
Resident Evil 7- Takes place at a family residence located by some swamp. Full of disgusting imagery, and it has plenty of jump-scares. I haven't finished this one, but it's fairly good based on what I've experienced so far. I don't think it's as scary as Outlast, but you get more interaction with other characters, I feel. Protagonist speaks. You can fight back. Very hard, in my opinion.
-
I like the idea for new daily rituals. As for the stunning when you kobe, I'm not sure. You do kick your feet out when you unhook yourself, so it would make sense in the animation aspect. I don't see any immediate problem with it. If a killer is face-camping you on first hook, and you manage to kobe (whether with luck or Deliverance), I think that the killer probably deserves a kick in the ol' noggin'.
Seems legit to me. It's not like it shifts the gameplay too much for good killers. (Good killers typically won't face-camp). Plus, it can be easily countered by standing a meter or 2 from the hook. I think that's fine.

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to come off as rude. I’m just frustrated about how much Dead by Daylight lacks in comparison to other team oriented games.
It’s not like it came out a long time ago, it’s not the newest title, but it surely could’ve learned from its peers in the industry.
Yeah. A lot of things about this game could be heavily improved if bE wasn't so stubborn.

Ranks reset on the 13th of every month. Expect a reset April 13th.
Aside from rank reset dates, this whole issue with not being able to get games anymore is the fault of the players. The new matchmaking system was fine; I was finally able to get matches within 5 minutes, rather than waiting 20+ minutes. Sadly the forums were flooded with selfish players demanding the Devs revert back to the previous matchmaking system, because they used to get into matches faster. Clearly, they were not thinking about all the other players. Now the old matchmaking system matched with the new ranking system has created a rather sh*t experience for everyone.
-
I think this would be good as a new game mode. DbD has needed something new and refreshing for a while now. A secondary objective is a start.

You ever play any of those competitive games?
The reason why turning off voice chat isn’t such a big deal, is because those games already have secondary means of communication in place.
Rainbow Six Siege has drones for coms, pings for coms, and the name/location of everyone on your team is constantly on your screen. Along with a multitude of other useful information coming your way in the form of automatic voice lines.
Dota, League of Legends, and Smite. All of these MOBAs have integrated text chats or even VGS where you can have your character say a wide arrange of coms like: enemy missing, enemy incoming, attack this, they’re behind us etc..
All while also having a simple, but effective ping system in addition to all that.
The reason why it isn’t such a big deal to turn off voice chat in these games isn’t because quick communication isn’t important.
It’s because the developers had enough foresight to have multiple means of secondary communication built in. Where players don’t have to communicate every second through voice commands, without being put at a huge disadvantage.
Well, I see. You make a fair point.
-
I would love some new chase music. Thanks for the demo.
-
Very nice.
-
Couldn't say; however, I believe it'd probably be Spirit.
-
Astounding cosplay. You've done a fantastic job!
-
I don't think Dark Vision is necessary, because Thrill of the Hunt pretty much lets you know when someone is cleansing a totem.
Leather Gloves is basically what Boil Over should have been; I like that one, but I also think it shouldn't have a cool down, and should instead be a passive perk.
Quick to Evade seems like it would be a meta-perk. Imagine pallet-slamming a killer and then creating massive distance in a matter of seconds.
I'm a bit confused about Reversing the Situation. What exactly does it do? What is debating?

Now,I never use NOED,I dont think it is as strong as people say. However, "Noed rewards you for failing" is not true. A killer job is to kill survivors.
Off-topic, OP. Is BW gang "Big Wig Gang"? lol

@Skellywish said:
But a lot of killers do and noed often allows for bad plays during the match. It boosts a lot of killers and is extremely annoying to go against. And not to mention that it discourages learning the killer.
I agree that it's a cheap way for a killer to boost their rank, but I still feel like it's fine the way it is. I do like your version as well, but it sounds a lot like Devour Hope, but I assume your version is not a Hex perk.

*Facepalms* Why didn't that cross my mind at first? Lmao, I shouldve asked her what she was doing.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/385761#Comment_385761
Seriously, she's like a nightmare to survivors and killers alike.
I'm a Claudette main myself, but I can assure you that I do not play immersed, and I haven't used P3 since all the jokes about Blendette started appearing.
-
Well, what do you expect? Everyone has been continuously complaining about the new matchmaking system (which I liked better, by the way) and now it's back to normal. Congratz, guys. You did this.
-
I always thought that rarity system decided which perks would show up in the bloodweb based on their rarities.
-
Do you actually de-pip? I thought that it just appears that you de-pip, but your rank stays the same. Am I getting this wrong?
-
I don't know if a little water is going to help with Plague's rotting face.
-
I enjoy both play-styles, but usually I do aggressive play, as it rewards you with more bloodpoints. Plus, switching between play-styles can be highly beneficial. Sometimes, I'll be hiding and repairing generators, and then when the killer chases a survivor near me, I'll suddenly body block the killer when they're about to down my teammate, and it'll confuse the killer a lot. The killer will either engage in a chase with me or continue their chase with the survivor that I have allowed to get a lot more distance.
Like @Susie_ said, it's all very situational. Typically, at the beginning of a match, everyone will be playing immersed, because there's no point in risking an early hook.
-
Well from the killer's POV, they look down when they pick up a survivor, and then they look up and suddenly they're being blinded. At least, that's how I imagine it's supposed to be like. At least survivors have to time it properly. They can't blind early, because you'll just avoid the stun. Now does that make sense? Lightborn basically makes flashlight saves impossible, unless you have a god flashlight, so run that if you're having trouble.

@NMCKE said:

Adrenaline is fine in my opinion because it's a reward for surviving, think of it as Devour Hope; you're rewarded for getting hooks. NOED is rewarding you for failing, think if it as the old Decisive Strike; you're rewarded for losing a chase. While I'm all for perks reducing the consequences of failing, it shouldn't out right ease the consequences of failing. NOED should be like Technician, if you screw up then at least you have that chance the perk will prevent the explosion.
HERE'S MY REWORK OF THE PERK:
Survivor's progress infuriates you to a point where it causes you to release your true potential. Whenever a generator is completed, receive a token that helps you thrive in chases. If you have a token, gain a 5% haste effect and cool-downs for successful attacks are reduced by 10%/15%/20%. Performing a successful offensive action will consume a token.
You want Fire Up, but Blood Lust?
-
@Hoodied said:
Its ridiculous how many people dc atm, sorry to put this slightly off-topic
I've noticed that as well. I've also seen that a lot of the time, people will disconnect and then argue with the killer in the post-game chat; being sent to the menu would surely fix at least that issue with toxicity.
-
Your revised Kindred sounds like the map beacon, but weaker?
