Finally someone who believes The Pig is upper tier... you have my respect
Also, may I ask your thoughts on how you came up with the order?
Thanks! I would've put Pig higher up but I just don't play her as often as the other upper tier killers.
Here's my wall of text to break it all down
TLDR - I based the order off how frequently I felt humiliated while playing a killer 😂
SS- Freddy, I feel like it's pretty obvious. When I play as Freddy I get the sense that survivors are genuinely afraid of him. Freddy's got a lot going for him in general. Clown, I think he's easy to overlook but once you master throwing the potions he's like a force of nature. I can make a direct hit on a survivor at almost any point in a chase and it's both hilarious and satisfying!
S- PH is awesome just for the way he can change up survivors loop game. I'm over the whole killer shack chase and he ends it pretty quick, thankfully. GF because he can teabag, which is probably his real super power.
A- I feel like these killers could easily end up on the S and SS tier if I spent more time playing them. I've never had less than a 2k with any of them except for plague, but she just takes some time to learn. I feel like she could be given a buff to help her cover more map distance or just a little better map pressure in general. Against low to mid skilled survivors she's great so long as you understand her power but she can be frustrating playing against higher skilled players. Still always fun to puke on people though. I think pig has great map pressure. Once you get a few RBTs going it's easy to snowball the chaos. For Huntress I just wish there was an addon to make her wind up with the hatchet faster. As it is I have to anticipate where I'm going to throw it a full 3 seconds ahead of time.
B - I feel like these killers are all adequate, but their powers can all be very punishing towards the person playing them unless you're in a focused mindset.
C - LF needs a serious buff to his chainsaw charge speed or something low powered added onto his base kit to make him more interesting to play. Without addons to the chainsaw charge speed he's really only good for camping. I feel like Spirit is overrated. You have to be super dedicated and focused to become proficient with her phase and its mind game potential is lost on clueless survivors who don't fully understand how her power works. Skilled survivors will know how to avoid your phasewalk or just run iron will.
D - These are all trash killers imo. Granted I play on console so nurse is impossible to play as. It was humiliating grinding her to level 31. I feel like nurses is a major meta perk but the rest of her perks kind of suck. Trapper takes forever to set up and he loses so much time in the beginning of the match. Plus it's just annoying how easy it is for survivors to cancel his power. Hag seems to have potential to be upper tier to me, maybe B or A but the level of dedication required is twitch streamer level. Demo's power provides good map coverage but the setup involved and the fact that it can be cancelled by survivors makes it weak when it has good potential. His lunge isn't really that interesting and it's sad that his best addons are brown. I feel like doctor is overrated. His static burst has too long of a base cooldown to really be reliable and otherwise skilled players don't really seem put off by madness. I think we all know Legion is underwhelming. I mean he's basically just an M1 attack killer. I don't even see the point in using his power when I play as him. It's fun if you want to try and keep a frenzy going for as long as possible but if you actually want to get any kills it's kind of useless.
Wall of Text completed

Don't forget to use geography. If she's running along the edge of the map, take the inside track. Make it so that she can't cut inside to the middle of the map without losing distance, and you'll end up catching her pretty quickly. Having someone at the map boundaries is usually your most advantageous scenario, as you can push them into having only one direction available.
If you start the chase already really far back (say if she used Sprint Burst right after that pallet drop), make a big read and cut way inside - it's ok if you lose sight of her a little bit. She'll either pop up right in front of you when you get back near the map boundary or you'll have lost her quickly and not wasted time on a protracted chase that would hurt more than it helped even if you did catch her.
Okay I was trying to cut her off from going to the inside of the map when she started to go towards vaults or pass through some of the smaller rooms that line the inside of the outermost edge of the map but I kept losing ground when that happened. It felt like she was literally faster than me the whole time.
I see what youre saying. By only going towards the inside of the map a little bit, like one room in, I must have lost a lot of ground whereas if I'd cut across a wider area id gain ground so long as she didn't backtrack 🤔
That sucks. I want survivors to be slower.
NERF SURVIVORS RIGHT MEOW! 😾

Use your bottles, throw it in front of them. If youre out it MIGHT be worth it to reload and chase someone else
I did that and ran out. I committed to the chase only because I decided I'd throw match just to catch that Kate. I camped her because by the time I caught her there was only one gen left anyway. Then miraculously I downed a Jake trying to save her, thanks to my level 3 unrelenting. Slugged him and waited for the Kate to die, the whole time a different Kate kept trying to lure me away. First Kate died and then I hooked the Jake. Theeeennnnn someone finally finished the last gen and I downed and hooked the other Kate since she kept hanging around the hook. Last person escaped while I was looking the second Kate.
I was 100% certain I'd lost when I got first Kate on the hook. I chased her for 3 gens before I caught up with her. She was practically running in a straight line the whole time! If it weren't for altruism I'd have lost.

What killer were you playing as?
Clown
-
Everytime I hit someone directly on the head with one of clowns potions I chuckle out loud.
Whenever I make multiple survivors vomit when playing the plague.
When I keep a frenzy going for minutes on end as legion.
Teabagging survivors as GF and knowing I've demoralized the enemy.
Playing as Dwight with only object of obsession equipped in solo q.

@JustCats said:
No, and you're not. When you see references to a 110% or 115% killer it's a reference to their move speed relative to survivors. However, hitbox collision means that, to varying degrees, survivors can cut corners closer than killers. Since the game has boiled down to running in a circle around a pile of trash, that small difference can add up.
However, if you stay in a chase long enough, you'll engage a speedboost that will help you catch up. It's not a lot, but it is noticeable.
The key to catching survivors is less in outrunning them and more in anticipating where they are going to go so you can get there first (or in time). It's basically Duck, Duck, Goose. The person in charge of running in the circle gains a little bit of time each time they change direction since the other person loses time reacting. You want to be the one forcing the survivor to change direction.
Okay that makes sense I guess. I just chased this Kate all the way around lerys along the edge of the map for what felt like forever. I only stopped to break one pallet because I absolutely had to, it was the one that completely blocks the hallway, and the chase took forever to catch up to her. I checked perks afterward and all she had was sprint burst.

How is it balanced when it encourages bad plays? I'll have survivors follow me to hooks to get the BT save, knowing their buddy will then body block for them. Or they'll follow me as a chase another survivor, in the hopes they'll be annoying/hinder/threaten me enough for me to hit and activate their BT.
If body blocking wasn't a thing? Then it would be in a more balanced state, Or if the damage transferred to the savior, so they actually run a risk for using the perk. Heck, make it so you need to take certain actions to gain use out of it. Say, heal two survivors and get one ticket, which can then be used for the save.
Yes
-
Pig is awesome!
I run unrelenting, surveillance, nurses, and bitter murmur. Her add-ons are what make her really fun. I like adding an extra RBT and another addon for adding a status effect like hemorrhage. The add-ons that create more skill checks at jigsaw boxes are good too.
Typically I expect a 2k or better from her but 4ks are a little rare.
It's true she doesn't have any map pressure on her own. Generally if the first 2 gens fly before you've gotten your first RBT on someone it's likely you won't get better than a 2k. Her RBTs are where her map pressure comes from. The key is getting that first RBT on someone before the first gen pops.

WHY WON'T YOU DIE??!?!!??!
Lol omg I swear I hooked someone in my last trial 3 times and they didn't die. They just kept getting rescued instantly though. Maybe I just lost count? It feels like a lot of effort when there's four of them omg
-
I liked him before his buff 😎
-
I was really underwhelmed by PH at first but after learning his power better and playing him more all I have to say is thank God for pyramid head!
Srsly
I'm so sick and tired of seeing survivors do the same things over and over knowing there's no counter to them I just have to sit there and go through the motions until they've had their fill. The killer shack loop? Omg chasing someone around that thing is about as fun as watching 24 straight hours of roadrunner and coyote.
PH changes all that and it's about time.
I'm one of those PH players who doesn't bother to camp or rush to the cage because I'm having too much fun moving in to the next chase.
Besides the cage spawns at the other side of the map and in the time it takes me to get there another gen will probably be completed.
Tbh I didn't know that BT and DS don't work on cages but as it stands it's difficult to put someone in torment to begin with. What I've seen is cocky and aggressive players who seem to care almost next to nothing about avoiding the rite of judgement trails. They are extremely difficult to not notice, so if anything you probably just need to get better at not running over them.

You could also contact MandyTalk on Discord directly regarding your purely hypothetical scenario.
Okay so it sounds like support has a discord

No, I don't use OoO since I call myself a killer main and I can empathize with them that it really isn't a fun experience. I don't even run DS most of the time but I'm running it now since this dude just keeps tunneling me to death
That's understandable lol I was just being a punk btw
But it did make me think of a match I played the other night. I had black incense on the plague and kept wondering why I could see this one players aura from across the map. I thought they were running OoO so I just ignored them. I kept staring at the end game results trying to find who had the OoO equipped before I realized it was the black incense doing it's work 🙈

It's difficult enough as it is to use her phasing ability, why does it need to be changed to make it easier for survivors?
It's next to impossible to land a hit using her power even with stridor and predator. If anything she should be given more information when she's in phase mode to help her locate survivors.
I'm sorry but if a killers power is only useful when you're faking using your power then that's super lame. I grinded to get her to level 30 so I could have at least one teachable unlocked from each killer but otherwise I never play her because her power sucks.
-
The doctor's base kit is actually not that good. I didn't find him to be at all threatening to players who weren't yellow ranks.
It's true, if you're struggling with a certain killer you should try playing as them. And isn't the doctor a free character?
-
I tunnel people off the hook and Mori them because it removes a player from the match quick and evens the odds for me. There's lots of times where the odds are too far stacked in the survivors favor so its one of the few things I can do to make sure all the gens aren't done in the first 5 minutes if the trial.
I feel bad for that one person, but at the same time I don't because there's 50/50 odds they or their teammates would just infinite loop, body block, and t bag me.
It's not a strategy I'd choose against someone my rank (green) or lower as they tend to be fun to play against and less toxic but there's no way to tell what skill level of players were playing against so it's just safer to do the most aggressive thing right out of the gate rather than wait to see if I get humiliated or not.
When it happens to me as a survivor I don't really care anymore. It's easy to just move on to the next match.
-
You can play like that in rank 19-20 but after that the matchmaking system kicks in and you're going to be in a world of hurt trying to play nice with red through green rank players.
You're better off playing for your own enjoyment, not theirs. It also helps to make your account private to avoid the hate mail.
-
I want survivors to not be able to t bag
-
A 5th perk slot would be cool if you earned it for prestiging or something. And then only if it had a limited selection of perks you could use in the 5th slot.
But then how would you balance it for killers? One player with 5 perks versus 4 players with up to 5 perks each doesn't sound balanced.
I like the different combinations you could run with 5 slots on killer tho
It would be fun to run all the obsession perks or all the hex perks on a single build.

JUSTIFY YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY.
LOL
I run level 3 unrelenting, BBQ, pgtw, and nurses
I don't even have to use good add ons and ive never done worse than a 2k with him.
Once you get the hang of using his potions he's pretty powerful. I played maybe 5 matches where all I did was chase people and only used my potions on them and got sickeningly good with aiming them. I can almost always directly hit someone with them and aim them over walls exactly where I want them to go now. I pretty much use him to farm points for my other killers at this point 😂
-
I'd put clown as a top tier killer
-
I was tunneling after people who had the crown earlier only because I honestly didn't know what was going on. All I knew was they were suddenly all sparkly and easy to track 🤷
I figured it was some sort of event cosmetic I guess ...
I didn't know what was going on. Now I feel kinda bad .. 😬
-
I've been playing killer mostly this evening and I didn't even know there was an event until I checked the forums ...
Now I feel bad for not letting people get crowns. I didn't understand why some of the survivors were so easy to track with pixie dust all over them...
😬

@Shocktober said:
Huntress is pretty consistent, but is almost 1 trick material if you want to get really good at her.
Oni is all-or-nothing. He is the strongest character in the game in his power, and the weakest outside of it. If you screw up a power activation even once it can be GG. If you cannot land your first hit quickly as an M1 killer, you will lose games extremely hard.
But on the other hand, it's not uncommon to see a really good oni get 2-3 downs in a single power activation; starting a snowball where the survivors have to choose between gens or healing, leaving you endlessly activating your power and running out of control.
See for me he's one of the more difficult killers to play against too, which is why I think I'm leaning towards him. I also like that he eats blood gobs.
-
@Khar said:
I find Oni to be more fun. If you're good with the range, though, Huntress may be for you. Really depends if you wanna throw hatchets or hulk smash the survivors.
I suck at playing the deathslinger, so I'm going to guess that I'll suck as Huntress lol
-
There's an infinite loop on the second floor where the surv can just keep running between a doorway at one end and a vault window at the other and the hallway is too long to mindgame and if you follow the survivor through the other side of the long hallway there's pallets and too many objects they can get behind.
There's another infinite on the first floor near the exit gate that has the grate floors. They can vault over a reception desk area and out the other end until the end of time.
I've dropped survs trying to find a hook plenty of times already.
It's a maze trying to find how to get to the gens as a killer and also trying to figure out where the staircases are.
-
@johnmwarner said:
Yes, his ranged attack shouldn’t be your go to. Most often it is used as a fake to keep someone from dropping a pallet or vaulting a window, then they turn and you M1 them.
I've tried that but it still seems like it takes too long to get it ready for it to matter.
I've tried doing this a couple times to stop survs from dropping pallets and because it seems to take so long to get ready they throw the pallet anyway. Same thing with vaulting.
I'm on console so idk if that makes any difference
-
I agree it sucks. It's the only decent game on xbox one right now though which is mainly why I play it.

Then how come I got stuck on two different infinite loops playing on it already? The new map sucks for killers.

The conditions on DS are so specific that it doesn’t take much to play around it. I hope they buff DS. 60 seconds is too short and five second stun is too short for a one time use perk.
I'd have to say 15 minutes and let's bump the 5 second stun to 30 seconds, just to be safe. We have to consider the newer players.
-
I'm right there with you. I'm selling my xbox to get a switch. Then it's Super Mario's Odyssey from here on out!
-
This just happened
-
Sometimes if I'm playing against a group that's obviously way better than me or toxic I just go to a corner of the map and face a wall until the match is over. Usually I do it after people body block and hook sabo or if they're really obnoxious with flashlights and t bagging. If the first player I go up against runs an infinite loop I just peace out then too.
I used to enjoy this game...

DWM doesn't need a buff, you just need to use it properly. You should run it with lithe. A good build is lithe, DWM, and quick and quiet.
There's already a perk that prevents scratch marks after being unhooked.

EDIT: He needs unrelenting because he has a short reach from his huge belly and tiny knife.
-
I can't think of any killer that could get more than one kill against that.
I wouldn't use NOED since most swf groups can just coordinate constant saves that will be frustrating and leave you frustrated that you wasted a perk slot. It's happened to me. The only time NOED works is with blood warden, but then you're gambling on the end game going the way you want it.
I wouldn't run Corrupt intervention with NOED either. That's two wasted perk slots and you split your efforts between the opening of the match and the end game. Choose to double down on the end game with NOED + Blood warden or Corrupt intervention and Discordance or Surveillance.
My Ghostface build has been Im all ears, Infectious fright, Mad grit, and nurses calling. It's a good all around build for him that counters a lot of the sweaty swf stuff and helps you slug and snowball. I'll usually have mad grit be my variable slot, depending on the lobby I might switch it out for franklins, BBQ, or corrupt intervention.
With that said, even with a perfect build you're still not going to do well against that. I lose to those kinds of groups all the time. I dodge lobbies just to avoid the full red rank matches, but there's always at least one in the lobby 😑

This doesn't change the fact that red rank killers have an extremely high kill rate, so doing something to specifically cuck red rank survivors would be completely inappropriate.
And red rank survivors have an extremely high escape rate. And from what I understand they "cucked" red rank killers recently so why not the survivors?
-
@LALYTHIA said:
Red rank killers have a very high kill rate. You do not need to introduce anything to cuck red rank survivors in any way.
Judging from the matchmaking I would have thought there weren't any red rank killers.
Plus most red rank killers all say the match depends entirely on whether the survivors make a mistake or not, which from the sounds of it they rarely do, when playing against red rank survivors.
-
Make it so when the killer is running through corn their TR and red stain are gone.
Running through a corn field at night while being pursued by a killer should be scary for survivors. The thought of it in any horror game or movie or even real life provokes a reaction of fear, not "Oh thank god, run for the corn field!"
