As you're stalking someone, a red ring forms around their icon. When it closes, it gets brighter and a loud noise sounds. I think their character model also glows red a little.
Okay, I must have been seeing the ring only partially formed ... They broke me out of the stalk and the progress of it was still there but it looked greyed out

I love playing as Freddy! I wish every killer had some sort of ability to help them cover more map distance.
The first time I played against him though I DC'd right away as soon as I entered the dream state because I honestly didn't know what was going on and thought the game was glitching out. Then I ended up looking into his power later on and realized that was supposed to happen and felt kind of bad afterwards.
Other than that first awkward encounter I don't mind playing against him.

There's a red target on the survivor that is marked. Look in the left corner of your screen. It's like a visual the same way you get when you have a trap on you, infected, in the dreamworld and recently tormented.
Okay weird, I thought I marked someone just as they were breaking me out of my night shroud and they had a greyed out mark over their name and I got confused... It's hard to tell when they break your shroud right as you're close to fully marking them.
Thanks!

You can report players using this link:
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
1) click on "additional player report information"
2) describe what happened
3) upload your video on YouTube and add the link to the description
If the clip shows obvious teaming with the killer with the intention to kill other survivors/griefing and contains all the names and everything chances are they'll get banned (pretty quickly). I reported someone myself who worked with the killer on console and they got banned like 3 days after I submitted the ticket.
THANKS! I'm just waiting for the recording to upload to my account!

I play on console and agree, because of the framerate and joystick issues the 360 is really difficult to counter.
I actually turned my sensitivity down to 40 and it helps a lot. Normally with the sensitivity up high it's easier to lose the survivor when they 360. With a lower sensitivity you get to slow down your aim and make a smoother reaction.

Yeah, feeling major disappointment considering the options...
I mean, if I want to play a game with silent hill characters I can just play silent hill ... 🤷

They already made an asymmetrical horror game that's based off chucky. Charlie the legend

The blair witch. You're not corporeal, you just have the power to create spooky noises in the bushes and spawn three times as many dull totems on the map.

These matches were not played close together. The last screen shot your level went from 12 to 9. And there is a 68k point spread between the top two. So I agree whole-heartedly that match making is doodoo and this kind of match sucks balls. These examples were clearly cherry picked to prove a point. I will say that even as survivor it feels bad to get out of a match that went pretty smooth and find out the killer was over 10 levels higher than you, so you probably just came off as a dick in-game without even really meaning to.
If you'll notice my player level isn't that big of a difference between the 3.
Also I play with BBQ and BP offerings on my other killers so I tend to get 40k BPs per match (If I at least manage to hook 2-3 people once).
The first 2 were the same evening, I'm pretty sure. Most of my other matches are a mix of purple and red ranks, occasional green or yellow so I tend to only screenshot the completely awful matches where it's all red ranks. I have about a dozen more like this from the last week but I didn't want to bombard the post.
If it's a mix of purple and green or a mix of purple, green, and yellow I do alright depending on the killer I play as but if there's any red in the match it usually goes south. Sometimes it's 3 yellow and one red or 3 green and one red and those turn out alright.

YASS! THIS!
-
You also got matched against 2 red ranks? How is that fair?
I think some of the comments about perks are a little bit on point, but still..
I play her with stridor, predator, whispers, and BBQ but I'm still going to lose against more than one red rank player in the mix.

These are my most recent matches...
It's pretty awful.
I don't even want to show you what they've been doing to my clown ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

The Trapper was altered by the Entity.
The Wraith was altered by the Entity.
The Nurse was altered by the Entity.
The Hag was altered by the Entity.
The Doctor was altered (slightly) by the Entity.
The Spirit was altered by the Entity.
The Legion was altered (slightly) by the Entity.
The Clown is a human.
The Hillbilly is a human (barely).
The Huntress is a human.
The Cannibal is a human.
The Pig is a human.
The Plague is (technically) still a human.
The Ghost Face is a human.
The Deathslinger is a human.
The Oni is (debatably) still a human.
Not counting Oni as a human, that leaves 8 killers who are human, 7 who were altered by the Entity, and 4 who aren't (The Shape, The Nightmare, The Oni, and The Demogorgon).
Counting Oni as human, that's 9 human, 7 who were human, and 3 non-humans.
Nurse, hag, spirit, wraith, plague and oni are all supernatural. Arguably they all are, but I'll leave it that.
Explain to me how a levitating nurse with a bag over her head, a floating disembodies corpse with a magical sword, the zombie of a junkyard wrecker, a mummified millennia old dark priestess, and a resurrected demonic samurai are human.

I can never hit it so I don't use it. It's a wasted perk slot for me.

Not really, most killers are simply humans who got slightly altered by the entity. But guess what? So are the survivors.
Name the ones that aren't and the ones that are.
-
Aren't most of the killers ghosts, monsters, and demons? Why would they feel a stagger from anything?

What was the old hatch?

@Yamaoka thanks
Hi, I’m too lazy too go into great detail right now, so here are my pointers. Yes, aiming is hard. Take the time necessary to mess around practicing your aim (it’ll mean a lot of lost matches).
Practice:
- the difference between the two throw arches. One by tapping throw, one by charging throw.
- The higher you aim upward, the further a bottle will travel (to a point)
- Practice throwing bottles over walls into common structures. Get a feel for distancing and the throw arch to consistently achieve this.
- Practice throwing bottles AHEAD of survivors. This means identifying/predicting where they are heading, and/or deterring them from particular structures.
- Practice direct hit accuracy at varying distances from survivors. I just tunnelled one survivor over and over, match after match never hitting them just practicing better direct hit accuracy.
The general rule with Clowns bottles is:
- in areas where survivors can have evasive options (open spaces) try to place gas in FRONT of survivors. You want them to either run through the WHOLE gas cloud, or attempt to run around it. Either evasive option usually gives Clown an easier hit.
- In confined spaces (such as Lery’s, Hawkins, etc.) try to go for DIRECT hits. Direct hits interrupt actions, and cause more severe blurred vision. I notice that when I achieve direct hits survivors quite often (but not always) will accidentally run into objects and get themselves momentarily stuck just long enough for a free hit. Again bear in mind that direct hits interrupt/prevent actions for a brief second, so learning to be as consistently accurate as possible can be a saving grace approaching totems, gate switches, hook saves, vaults, and pallets.
Good luck. When you learn to be strategic and accurate with Clowns bottles, he can feel very rewarding.
Thanks for the advice, thanks to @Huff too!
I've been playing a few matches just practicing my aim and not worrying about winning.
I think with a little more practice I'll be ready to try a serious match soon.

I tend to target brightly coloured survivors, cause it's like look! I'm awesomely good! Try and catch me! Or I need to be chased for a daily, pick me pick me! So I oblige.
As to getting focused on who will be hooked, it's the annoying survivors that are body blocking me, flashlight blinding me constantly, even when I'm just going around kicking generators.
If my daughter is watching me play, she likes it when I target Elf Dwights. Like seriously, she wants him to feed the spider god. So to Elf Dwiights, I'm sorry, my toddler's delight makes me smile. But she gives me heck if I hook a character that her uncle plays.

Well, it's as good a guess as any!
So, we have so far:
Black Lagoon Creature
The Thing
Jason
Candyman
Pumpkinhead
Chucky
Puppet master
Gremlin
The Fly
Something from house of Wax (was not blood on the skull)
Any others I've missed?
You forgot Critters
-
Yeah, sometimes you'll have to sacrifice teammates and not everyone will escape. Imagine that.
-
I don't mind if they're a group I just don't want to play against red rank players yet. It's just hard to tell
-
Is there any way to tell if they're red rank in the lobby? I don't want to play with them.
