I understand that you like the game a lot and want it to get better.
I understand that you value balance and such.
Tho, no one forces you to buy items in a game that you think will not improve, or is not fitting/may/will never fit your expectations.
Yes, devs could have (possibly) had better use of their time on the game than doing cosmetics (very arguable since the artistic team do not work on scripts tho).
Maybe, I just say maybe, if you do feel like the things will never change and never get good enough for you, you should consider another game ? -
You get these 3 whenever you camp or not.
If you really can't handle these matter, maybe killer isn't for you, because it seems like devs are not ready to change these anytime soon and don't realize the killer's frustrations just yet. -

No it wasn´t. But it was the only secure way to deal with toxic survivors. For me body blocking shouldn´t be a thing at all. A 50kg Claudette can body block a running 150kg Clown?
I don't think realism is a good argument for mecanisms. In that case, most situations in this game would be sorta un-realistic. I get your logic tho.
The main issue with bodyblocking isn't that it exists, it's just that its impact can be heavily trivialized with the use of perks or items such as insta-heals, medkits or self-care. It still asks for some commitment, which usually means less repairs, tho it can become overly strong in some situations indeed. (Aka needing only 1 bodyblocker not to get your hook as killer)

Devs removed hook blocking for killers, but hook blocking by survivors is fine.
Apparently survivors fun is more important than killers fun.Was it truly fun to stand in front of a hook for 2mins to block the prompt tho ?

Just practice in normal mode to get BP. Losing ain't a big deal anyway.
Ranks do not give anything. Deranking isn't grevious, especially since the ranks do reset very oftenly. -
Freddy
Buff
Pick one.On a more serious tone : they seemed to want to tweak freddy, but it seems like Trapper will be the next one on the list.

In order :
Huntress, Leatherface and Hag.Huntress is just the best camper in the world tbh.
Range camping > AoE camping! -

In a match I was spectating (after dying on the hook) the survivor who was camping hatch the entire time got lag-switched and died. He sat there not even attempting to save me. It was my first hook too. Hatch camping isn't fun for any party (thankfully its being removed).I talked to the killer after the match and thanked them and they said that they never lagged switch, but as a survivor main hated selfish survivors. In the killers defense the only unhook that I saw the survivor do was right in front of him.
My question is: Is it ethically right to treat a toxic survivor toxically by denying their win even if it is based solely off of the fact that the killer lag switched.
Playing selfish isn't forbidden.
Lagswitching is forbidden. The answer is obvious.
If you don't feel like helping your teammates, you don't have to. -
They're all quite fine except for Boil over in my opinion, that I find lackluster.
WIndows of Opportunity should be a starter perk tho, not behind a paywall. And they should have given another perk to Kate instead.
Similarly to the Hex : Thrill of the hunt perk that got introduced for everyone to have. -

Yes, it's a feature.
It actually give you altruism emblems, points, and WGLF stacks doing so, even.
It's actually rather balanced tho, since it asks for quite the commitment for survivors to do so.
One of the big issue is just the fact that Self-care usually trivialize the fact you get wounded in this game tho. -
@Visionmaker
Thank you, editer the video link! (failed my copy pasta!) -
You pretty much nailed it :
The early survivor game is painful as heck. You get quickly dispatched and destroyed by killers since the mecanics aren't noob friendly.
The early killer game is pure gamble. You might encounter new survivors that you're gonna destroy, or experienced survivors and get bullied. In any case, you're gonna get insulted in the endgame chat because people want you to play on some other ways.
My suggestion is :
Pick a killer you like to play, and try not stressing it out and getting better. Read some guides, learn the ropes on both sides.
Or simply play survivor and get better. Possibly get yourself some experienced friends to play with that could teach you the ropes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crgMmyoDzNQ
This guide is pretty good for the killer basics for example.
Don't forget that holding M1 makes you lunge, which increase your attack range. But in any case : find a BP farming method in some ways, and don't prestige unless you are settled and have secondary characters to rely on.

Yes kinda but I kinda think that maybe (and I could be wrong, admittedly I dont know the details) Behavior has had 6 months to prepare for this DLC and maybe someone should have turned in the paperwork to get the ball rolling so everything could release on time?? It's not the first add to the game, so NOBODY there seen this issue coming?? I've already said sorry, I over reacted and was wrong i know it and i mean it, sorry, but maybe?...They did talk about this in a previous stream.
The main issue is that it's not only paperwork. They need to give a full patch package IN ADVANCE to Sony and Microsoft, so they can check it out if there's nothing faulty or offensive or anything, in their own rules, for several days.
So they basically can't "prepare" for it, sadly. They just finished the patch a few days ago, after the PTB, so they couldn't "prepare" for it

The only way would be to actually delay the PC release because of Sony & Microsoft tantrum.

To what @Runiver saidIf you keep your current amount, but the worth is adjusted for the new store, wouldn’t it make more sense to blow through your shards and get bloodpoints before the update? It seems from the PTB that shards are a lot easier to come by.
Well id get BPs if I Had the perks in the shrine already but i dont, or did you mean something else that I missed?
That's what @Well_Placed_HexTotem asked.
You should basically use your shards before the 12th, to get either perks or BP before the threshold, since shards are WAY easier to get (maybe 3 to 5 times faster) after the update, and the Shard cost will be adjusted (more like, increased) -

just plain old jealousy Well, no one denied it truly sucks.
Because it does. Especially since there's not PTB on console.I hope you get your stuff in due time!

The main issue about "4ks" is that they do not feel satisfying as killer.
You do not feel like you truly outplayed the survivors in most cases. They just ######### up a lot, and you punished it, which leaves a weird taste (not semen or salt tho, just bittersweet).Sometimes, you do have great games, you pull out great moves, players were great, and you barely managed to 4k and it felt good. Some games where you didn't even kill anyone, or only killed one person, can actually feel pretty good. The number of kills is rather irrelevant (even if not entirely), a lot of killers just complain about how lacking the game is about their own control of the outcome in most situations.
It's just really hard if not impossible to pressure multiple GOOD survivors at once, which can prove to be very frustrating if experienced repeatedly.
And most games, for both sides, are rather poor overall, which makes the taste even worst at times.I'm not saying I want easier 4k, but I just want less frustrating games overall, with more fun, even if it means less kills.

You should have filed sooner or now make us all wait!!!! To care as much as I do about this stuff and to have you guys just not care about us is very hard to read and makes me very sad
You know this is not due to Behavior, but because of Microsoft and Sony right ?

I watched some killers broadcasting their plays on YouTube and when they perform a mori on a survivor, they see the animation in third person rather than when I did it, it would only show it in first person ( I can’t see my killer, just their hand and weapon). Anyone know if this is a setting you can change? It depends on the killer you use.
Some killers cannot have first persons since their camera would be too focused on a (possibly too close) action since, for example, Hag gets her head in the body of the survivor, which would make it quite unimpressive, if not buggy, from a killer PoV.So the video you've seen are either Survivor point of view, or a few killer point of view such as :
Hag
Freddy
...
And that's pretty much it I think ? -
Thanks for the confirmation @not_Queen , a lot of people have been asking for this clarification.

Object of Obsession is actually super strong. I'm not sure what ranks you're playing, but I see OoO half of the rounds at high ranks.
The last one is, indeed, useless, I agree, and could use a rework. But so could killer obsession perks.
Also, I'm free to give my opinion in here. You're not stopping me with a good old "I like everyone but you now for some reasons, don't waste your time here".
The day I'll be breaking a rule, we'll discuss.Hey I'm sorry over reacting, I get vary upset over people fussing over this perk. But I see you feel the same about object of obsession (if used right) its one of the strongest perks in the game. Its just when I got the game I bought the halloween DLC and Laurie was who I started off with. No one really uses Laurie's perks because they only look for DS. Do think think this would be a fair nerf (only obsession gets to use it for instant free once per match) while everyone else gets to wiggle faster? (not by much though, to make it more fair)
In the end I honestly just want the game to be fair for both killer and survivors, also do you main Billy boy?
Wiggling faster would make some hooking impossible in quite a lot of corners of maps, especially in Suffocation pit and Grim Pantry.
Survivors exploited these spots a lot at some point, and even if it got improved since then, it could prove very annoying to deal with survivors running in a corner repeatedly not to get hooked.
The devs are actually considering something like : Decisive strike stunning the killer in place, but not letting go the victim anymore, which could lead to more flashlight plays, and eventually some ways not to get hooked once if planned, that could be allright I suppose, to be tested.I think they'll release it in the next PTB to test.
I main Billy, Hag and soon, Clown!
But I play all killers except for LF, Freddy and Nurse since I find these 3 unbearable to play.P.S.: Don't worry about the "over reacting", I'm a grown up person and can take up an "offense", don't stress it out

I agree, to some extent.
One of the issue of that kind of system is that it doesn't empathize 2 things :- Dev balancing all add-ons to be viable, since people will just convert "#########" add-ons into the ones they like and called it a day.
- Make way less diversity. A lot of people will just convert/buy a majority of their add-on to be the ones they like, rather than trying more different builds overall.
Tho, that could be a nice band-aid while they actually make most add-ons (and eventually some survivor items) not to be #########.
Obtaining Very Rare (purple) and Ultra Rare (red) add-ons and items would be completely exclusive to the Bloodweb, as veteran players could have Bloodpoints in excess of 1 million.
Only common (brown), uncommon (yellow), and rare (green) items and add-ons should be available for purchase from a 'store'.
Personally I'd rather not get rekt every game by Tombstone Myers everywhere.Tombstone myers is rather weak tho. The piece is decent tho.
But yeah, I get your point. -

I've had the pleasure of speaking with @not_Queen and I can assure you the game will be going in a better place. I trust the devs understand the problems of the game, and while it may take time, I fully believe they can make this game better for all sides, but especially Killer, which has been neglected for a long time.Let this 2.0 update a new start for the game. Forget the past and try to look forward, assuming the patch is worth the wait and what we've seen in the PTB will indeed stay in the balance.
I actually believe the ones we talk to are nice people that want less frustrating gameplay and a more polished game.
Tho I'm not quite sure about the people making the decisions about them at this point. -

dragospk said:Hex: Ruin needs a buff, such as a perks needed for delaying the game and giving a chance for the killer to get a performance above average, often ends up being destroyed within a few seconds as the game starts.
A new change could be made as follows for this new perk, this proposal only includes hex: Ruin and should not be assigned to any other hex.
Changes:
We all know that once a survivor destroys the totem responsible for the hex Ruin, everyone is free from this curse, so we would change that, every survivor affected by the curse should find its own totem active and destroy it, this would be an individual totem for each survivor, remembering that this totem is an additional and all other totem who do not have an active curse continue on the map, so as an example in a game with hex ruin lvl 3 where all survivors are hit by the curse would have 1 totem active and 4 toten deactivated, so the active totem of each survivor is in different places and the survivor can only see the totem that effects him and not the others.
***remembering that it would only be this way with hex ruin, and no other hex perk.
any suggestion will be welcome

Why? It does it’s job, It delays the match
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJFiR0wuXW0 Much delaying, very time consuming -
4k being easy is because the survivors do ######### up a lot.
4k being impossible is due to very low ######### ups.In any case : the game outcome is mostly due to the number of survivor's ######### ups.
As long as they play accordingly, you feel like the round is "almost impossible" for you, which proves the balance isn't yet to be achieved. The game is possibly too hard to play for newcomers and bad survivors, but sure is too easy for experienced survivors as well, because even if you can make some mistakes to happen from the survivor's side with decent play as killer, you're still very limited in term of opportunities due to the 3rd person vision of survivors.
So I disagree : the balance is far from achieved.
Both ranks are still getting destroyed by killers, and high ranks are still dominated by survivors.
As you stated, you play around rank 10, where it's mostly "average matches", maybe where the "balance" lands, balance due to the average play of players in the round. -
Rip Dying Light.
I'm not sure if you're actually aware of what 40% actually is in game, but it's huge.

"Respect the 4%" isn't a thing.
It's yet another survivor rule to allow them to survive in specific situations.
Just smack them and get them back to their place : the hook. -
It would be nice, but it would have one major issue :
Splitscreen is actually VERY ressource consuming for the console. And dbd seems to already run at rather poor FPS on console. I wouldn't suggest it. -

Hackers can actually give themselves more than 1M at a time. I've seen some streamers (lol) giving themselves more than that, ignoring the cap.
The cap is originally made to prevent botting, which doesn't seem to be an issue overall. And possibly to make prestiging to be an actual commitment rather than just pressing a button and instantly being fully perked again I guess.
Ah right botting. Rememeber when that was a serious thing? Lol
I remember when they were 70% of the lobbies, especially during double BP.
You could even spot them from the lobby as they were pressing ready up and down repeatedly.
There were also fake bots with NOED, which was hilarious.
Good times, and good farm right there. -
That would be actually nice for the mindgame aspect, as it would force the survivor to guess rather than to look at directly.
Maybe ? What would be the actual debuff tho ?
-
World of tank in dbd when ?
I kinda wanna erase that stupid Laurie's house tbh.On a more serious note : anything could be done, as long as it's fun and creepy. Not too sure about a rocket launcher tho kek.

PTB has players.
Tho so far it has been :
A majority of tryharding killers for some reasons. Aka Nurse playing The Game.
A small portion of players testing DLCs (I've played against several perkless Myers)
A minor portion of clown players to play against. (sadly, I'd love to train against this guy as he sounds interesting)And when it comes to survivors :
BNP users. A lot of them. (Seems like they feel the need to test if the unchanged BNP still works in the PTB)
Flashlighters, flashlighters everywhere.
People leaving a lot. WHich is understandable, tho at times. In any case, I'm unable to play killer on the PTB since I'm high ranks on Live, and there's no high ranks left on PTB due to the quitting. Waited 30min+ several times, proved impossible to get me a full lobby as killer. I can play survivor just fine tho, which I did.

Devs are aware.
We had this discussion today again on Discord. They are starting to work actively since this patch to make the killer experience better in general.
They told me to trust and wait, and tbh, there's nothing we can do to either : wait and trust, or leave and go (play civilization). This honestly gives me hope for the future but the devs have alot of work to do in order to make it up to the community. They have done and said some pretty outrageous things. Talk is cheap for them, they can say what ever they want. It is action that will truly show us if they have learned from their mistakes and are willing to take a firm stance and balance this game once and for all.
That's what I told them.
I clearly told them that 4 days of discussions (now 5 or 6) won't erase 2 years of frustrations and of being left behind in the balance process. The fact that they took 1 year and 2 Months just to fix killer's sounds, 1 year to fix scratchmarks that they bugged themselves, 1 year and 8 months to (eventually, it's not done yet) remove the vacuum from pallets, along with other stuff such as Freddy nerf (which indeniably made him the WEAKEST KILLER in the game even tho he already arguably was), amongst other stuff such as the shadow nerfs, the "Play civilzation or another game if you're unhappy to play killer", the myers nerfs, the STBFL nerf and so on...They also accept that blame but they told me that right now they're working for a better balance and less frustration for everyone, and for ONCE it seems like they do what they're saying, and they're considering many more option for the close future and told me that we don't have many choice but to wait to see it coming. Which is kinda true, sadly.
