honestly I think at this point they should give all old and new survivors voice lines

Yeah I love the pallet stun ones geralt has, and i love the ones the walking dead have.

The pallet stun ones I feel should be hearable on killer side too, even if its a toggle. It adds a lot of character

  • I agree with this, I do think he needs some smaller tweaks but overall I think when he has had some stuff changed like Omnipresent Evil and Deputy's badge working on already regressing gens

I do think killers should be up there with him and Wesker, Wesker is one of my favourite killers to face.

I also agree to change Nurse lol

I personally think Krasue could have her head form buffed but her spit spammability nerfed and the auto aim removed.

Scratching the surface I think the game could recieve a lot of good changes especially when the game finally gets rid of the code issues it's faced with the new version.

Guess ruin and thrill need more nerfs. They are proving useful.

Not like Hans is a comp player playing in public lobbies.

I don't think they need nerfs, I think it's the badge working on them and the ability to defend and return to totems so easily which is the issue, but it's not exclusive to him:
-Ghouls scream addon can be annoying for it
-Xenomorphs scream on tail hit is crazy for defending totems

makes me wonder if it's just scream based interactions with totems that could be the issue and the only counter to it makes totems slower too, so it's a lose lose with the options available. Pair that with mobility and it's really difficult.

If Calm spirit didnt have the wierd downside you could at least build for it?

Coz other killers do need the hex's to be strong, but others it's clearly overkill.

  • This was a lovely read <3 I'm sorry for your loss

Hinako is tied to a lot of recent positive memories for me too and I'm so happy to see her here. I really look forward to seeing the other characters get a glow up, as I have a lot of positive memories with them as well. New DBD can't come soon enough <333

  • I'd love this so much, please make this happen!

he has so much potential for outfits too

  • Hopefully there is more options in the new version

  • @Smoe said:

I honestly expected Himiko to not have any voicelines, simply because the voiceline pattern is pretty clear.

Legendary skins don't get voicelines, unless it's for an original character or for a licensed character who have voicelines to begin with. It's why you have characters like Naughty Bear & Geralt of Rivia with voicelines, and why the Stranger Things Survivors got their own voicelines after the second chapter came out, despite not originally having any.

Unless bhvr updates the Silent Hill chapter with a sequel chapter, i doubt the Silent Hill characters will get their own voicelines.

I mean we are getting voiceline updates down the line so it's not out of the question

and they are definitely updating the SH models with the new version of dbd, very exciting! I'd love alternate outfits for legendaries too, please please please!

  • I hope we get some

  • it's just competitive games in general but DBD is worse for it coz it's one of those games where in my opinion is easier to win with the new OP than it is in other games coz it's assymetric, so a lot of people are overcompensating via this and get really really upset when they lose.

I call it Hero shooters for people who can't play Hero shooters LMAO

you lied about his kit now are trying to get me to tell you the downside of your lies.

What are you on about, I'm literally asking you to tell me this killers downsides, not the downsides of my statements, because those are inarguably what his power does I didn't state exactly what they do or that they are overpowered, just there is a lot of them?

As a collective they are very very strong, that's very different

Anyways I've stated what I came to contribute, if peoples reply is just "its lies and omg killers need this" and that's it, then we are done here.

I don't want him nerfed into the ground, I literally think he could have somethings taken from him to make facing him less obnoxious, coz infact i do enjoy facing him and I do enjoy the counter play.

I've even stated this in other threads, on the other hand people like you who are defending him aimlessly are going to very disappointed if he does get nerfed and you'll move to the next OP killer, rinse and repeat.

i’ve been giving advice its just doesn’t result in “nerfs” so you dont want to hear it.

Like you say he shouldn’t know you’re in a locker but that is just how killer instinct works for any form of it.

You also say he should have stronger anti camp protection like other killers when his is already stronger than theirs. Try actually playing him and using his power at hook.

coroners coffee gives him 13% haste with hook spikes but it’s only for 3 seconds but you throw the survivors even further by 25% so unless you’re already in a bad spot there is no value

Hook spikes do not give perma aura reading its temporary - why even lie about this?

Hook spikes having a mini blood warden is an addon you fail to mention, also pinning someone to the wall is bugged where jason can’t grab the survivor which gives the survivor a free escape.

    Reloading isn’t instant another lie.

Reloading giving undetectable is an addon

killer instinct and scream from oe - crouch you have the most brain dead simple and free counterplay stop whining

The ability to change elevations - true and guess what actually is bugged right now frequently putting you on the wrong elevation in the wrong spot.

Deny pallet/ window - every ranged killer has this why would it be any different if you haven’t learned how to counter this by now you’re doomed.

I know i didn’t bother addrssing everything but that is mainly after fully intending to chop your list apart i noticed how bloated with complete nonsense it is actually wild you thought they were worth including. Again i can only assume it was to bloat the list to argue in bad faith.

So all I can read is dismissal of facts

You havn't stated a downside at all, just trying to downplay everything I said which is more acknowledgement lol

Coroners coffee literally lets you move survivors out of position from the loop they are in, away from the pallet etc, or window… it's a win win for him.

The crouching takes about a second to kick in, you're expected to stay crouched for a while before it counters Jumpscare, you can't do it reactionary, especially on latency

Both of you are just replying to the points rather than making your own as to what downside he has, I'll keep asking: Tell me a downside?

i did read, you mentioned things like getting undetectable from grabbing a hook spike but failed to mention it requires an addons. It was the only instance.

Why would you do that for some but not all if you weren’t trying to inflate his toolkit to argue in bad faith. Which you are.

I'm not inflating it in bad faith that's actually an honest mistake coz I'm not writing a hecking thesis for people like you, I'm literally listing what it does to show people like you… who are in fact the ones arguing in bad faith by dismissing with no valid points other than "Plz no nerf he makes me feel good".

Post me some clips of where he doesn't do well, tell me what he doesn't do well, tell me his weaknesses. If you want to make an arguement, make some points please.

when most of that list depends on addons and you can only run 2 at a time it falls apart.

When the rest is based on half truths trying to push a false narrative it falls even more apart.

    I’m sorry.

But if you really play these killers you mentioned, you would have the knowledge that these killers are not that good against good teams.

You should try to stop looking into why jason has power creeped everyone in the game and starts to realize why the past killers aren’t like Jason.

Every killer needs what Jason has, great mobility, good anti loop and good snowball potential.

If any killer does not have a bit of any this I mentioned before, the killer is automatically B tier at max.

Let’s tale a look at springtrap, the killer where everyone compares with Jason, that’s a valid point to spot, since both are almost identical, but what Jason has the most that Springtrap does lack of, great mobility, Springtrap’s mobility is set at the start of the match, and survivors can pre run him when he decides to use it, making W holding very effective, and lets be honest, his axe is bad, it’s a ranged attack but with a limit on the range, he can’t hit people cross map like Jason, and grabbing people with the axe is almost impossible and borderline useless.

In my opinion people should not try to get Jason nerfed and make him like what they did with Vecna 2, people should focus buffs on the weaker killers that jason power creeped and try to reduced the gap between bad and strong killers.

OBS: nuke thrill of the hunt, this perk alone is causing more problems than Jason alone.

Every killer doesnt need what Jason has, "good snowball potential" is awful design on either side. You lost me there, that makes the game unforgiving, very unforgiving.

The First is actually pretty balanced now, he doesn't interact with the map at all… he shouldn't have a power which is incredibly spammy and oppressive. I see him often enough and he still does fine.

Jason can be nerfed so he isn't the answer to everything like he is currently, Let's see what he gets from Omni present evil:
-Stealth to creep up on survivors
    -Information on survivor interactions
-Information on locker hidden survivors (Bullshit and needs removed)
-Gen regression on ALREADY REGRESSING GENS with an addon and also create overcharge like skill check with this same addon
    -The ability to fix hooks
    -The ability to reload
-The ability to change elevations (correct me if I'm wrong here coz I can't test this, but I'm sure he can in midwhich, which is a huge advantage if true)
-The ability to deny a pallet or a window (IDC if its short, it's zoning and it is effective)
    -Haste upon exiting
-Killer instinct upon exiting and screaming to find where they are
-The ability to Exhaust with an addon
-The ability to injure with his husk if a survivor is unsuspecting of what it does
-The ability to reveal survivors upon reloading at a hook with an addon
-Can stay in this power for as long as he wants

    —-^This is on a 12s CD btw

This isn't even going into what he can do with his spikes:
-He can move at basically 115 out of OE which allows him to zone with a ranged projectile which instantly deals damage and puts survivors out of position
-Hook spikes give him perma aura reading
-Hook Spikes give him 10 percent hindered if the survivor tries to remove it
-Hook Spikes make his slugging MUCH stronger
    -Hook Spikes give him Mori's
-Hook Spikes can give him 13 percent haste
-Hook Spikes make survivors scream with addons (Particularly bs on hex builds)
-Hook Spikes reveal auras with addons
-Hook spikes punish body blocking with the ability to injure 2 survivors.
-Hook spikes can deny an entire team from exiting if a survivor is pinned
-Hook spikes can deny healing and give great pressure for that
    -Reloading is instant
-Reloading a hook spike can give him undetectable (requires an addon)
-Great tunnel potential because he can put a survivor into deep wound from a spike and they have to remove it, read the above, information on the tunneled survivor and a hinder potentially is awful
-Anti camp needs to deny him all teleport points by the hook at this point, like every other killer with this sort of denial

I could probably list more and more, especially perk synergy, but if you can't call this and overloaded toolkit thats basically on the levels of skully getting ######### for free, his spike hitboxes are massive, I'm gonna edit this to give you a video example, but the environment collision is small.

If you're new to live service games and call this balanced and not power crept, you're naive. I think everyone defending him rn is tonedeaf, I gave him a fair chance, but considering this is his early days and he is this effective… yeah no, his players are only going to get better.

because they weren’t the most requested killer for 10 years? Hello? And you say we’re not self aware.

I've been advocating for changes for not making a swift opinion on him until time settled, but playing against him casually for days on end, I'm at the point he has too many buffs and debuffs for a 12s cd and a ranged attack and gen regression.

If you can't have literacy for that, then I can't help you

once again ruin is the problem here, and guess what ruin is a bigger problem on other killers too. Its almost like we shouldn’t be nerfing killers when busted perk combos are the problem.

Ftp + buckle up was a problem and it was killed.

    So should ruin + thrill

I don't agree sorry, he is the problem, his kit is overloaded (buffs and debuffs, information, ranged attack and mobility galore) and people need to stop being in denial over it.

I'm so bored of the community not being self-aware.

Also sorry if this is rude but a Consultant should not be getting win streaks for content, this just feels like he is manipulating balance so he can get views at this point.

If you mean pick yourself up when you are 90 seconds on the ground or 80 while getting exhausted in process I dont think its bad idea but that agenda that pushed devs into ptb two time it was overtuned crap and no wonder why isnt some antislug in the game basekit.

Another point is reward killer for hooking and more for spreading hooks which is another factor that would greatly help but devs kinda missed this two times in the row same with antislug but taking in account their balancing abilities which clearly backs me up in this new ridiculous event Im not surprised it ended like this.

this is for someone who has no clue about this event and what I mean by these ideas from devs

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RoCHCxJPrY

Well thats what I mean, something like that only for extreme cases.

I tried to introduce 2 new players tonight and they got slugged and said they'd never play the game again, by a try hard blight. It's really really hard to explain to newer players why these things are how they are. Jason is really bad for it too.

There needs to be more of a forgiving experience in DBD for both sides, killer is punishing too for that matter, there is a lot they could learn from 2v8.

IDK it's just demotivating trying to share a game you love and people are just always highlighting how ######### the game is for casual players. We need stuff in place to help both sides, leave the comp strats for custom games, or a ranked mode.

That's fair - and Killer anonymity to your point, should go. Short of anon mode being turned on anywho.

Yeah exactly, it'd be nice if we just had more choice regarding it at least

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/469405/slugging-has-gotten-very-bad-recently

It has been mentioned time and time again, survivors become stronger when they get off a hook, and killers lose all pressure when they have to spend: a few seconds looking around for pallet/flashlight saves. 3 seconds picking the survivor up. 10 seconds to walk to a hook. 1.5 seconds to actually do the hook, all for what, giving the survivor 70 seconds of immunity basically. And right off the hook survivors get tons of perks, dead hard, DS, OTR, BT, BS and many more.

A slugged survivor takes just as long to save as a hooked survivor, and it doesn't cost you 20 x3 seconds of pressure to just leave them there.

All of this is resulting in killers realizing that slugging is actually often the better strategy than actually going for hooks. And was predicted months and months ago by a few prominent content creators, but nobody listens to them because they are the "bad ones"

I really hate when people try to push this, because there is a lot of perks that make killer stronger on hook too, if that's not enough then slugging is too powerful period IMO, not the other way around, as someone who runs Furitive Chase/Friends til the end/turnback the clock atm, I feel giving benefits to hooking a survivor would go a long way.

We need 2v8 anti slug tested in 1v4, that inflicts a CD or exhausted to stop and I will make sure I state this EXTREME cases of slugging.

I do not like that it keeps going under the radar time and time again, because it really affects the enjoyment of the more casual playerbase and it scares so many players away… I know firsthand trying to introduce new friends and having to explain it's just how things are.

The anti-tunnel/slug was far from what we needed but the fresh hook incentives/hiding the unhooked survs status and then just take 2v8's anti slug to test instead would have been more than fine. The proposed one we got was so bad and overtuned.

  • @NeverSolus said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/469423/streamer-setting-hide-names-from-killer-only-as-a-setting

I'd be okay with this if it was an all or nothing, which is already is - Anonymous mode exists. I'm not inclined to agree that streamers should have their own update QOL material just to avoid a problem that is distinctly a streamer problem, not a DbD problem. They can have their exposure, but the cost of exposure is… well, exposure. The game itself is in no position of requirement to make their lives kushier.

Furthermore, I'd point out that I absolutely loathe this idea as it would just drive a larger gap between the Killers and Survivors. Anonymity does not drive community cohesion. The more you put that wall between survivors and killers to keep them from identifying one another or knowing one another, the more you're going to end up feeding the toxic tribalism.

If it wasn't for the fact that this would be such a niche QOL improvement for such a niche group of players, I'd be less annoyed by it. They can already change their names, and they can already anon mode. I don't see any reason for further catering to a subset of players that typically loans itself to more toxicity in the community, not less.

We already have anonymity on killer side sadly so I feel that point kind of defeats itself. I'd love to know who I'm up against player wise, but I know it would just increase lobby dodging.

What we need above all else is lobby dodge prevention lol

  • @Chomperka said:

I will just repeat what I say every time I see that argument:

Yet to see a horror movie where someone survives thanks to random hatch spawning under their butt. It always takes much more effort for them to survive than this.

IDK I see some survivors elude the killer and then escape, it's not always pure luck.

If anything modern killer design is kind of BS in this scenario coz of their stupid amounts of mobility.

    in IMO Comment by Rokku_Rorru
  • the alternative would be to make survivor perks actually function more like powers, or better items really.

Like where is Elevens force push exhaustion (like short pushback) or a remote pallet drop.

    Where is Ada's agility

Leon/Jill/Nicolas are among some who come with great identity (flashbang/Blastmine/Dramaturgy/Scenepartner)

Then you have the walking dead chapter which is abysmal as an example, Last stand has such potential as does apocalyptic ingenuity but BHVR have no intention of making them fun to play.

  • I've been using blindness and IDK if that is helping me or not, can survs see tables if blinded? I usually use it to stop them seeing my apparitions on unknown so I can get oblivious value.

  • @Nazzzak said:

Spawns were really bad for the Blood Moon, they probably tried to prevent that happening again and got the opposite problem instead

Yeah, they really need to go into the maps and force the spawns for event items in set locations to ensure a balanced experience.

Random just doesnt work for it.

  • @random1543 said:

This is the one effect in the event I can agree its really cheesy have said since the start, even tho I think a lot of outrage over event is overblow this effect is really cheesy.

I did a solo q match where I would 99% tables and just wait their with the food until person in chase got hit then I would slap it on the table for full heal then go fill the second table.

All tho that does have the effect that matches are longer because only two doing gens so slower gens, in example match the looper was good so he ended up just taking chase for most of the game as he got multiple heals in chase. Killer was over that bs in egc understandably

I feel it only really counters current meta gen regression builds coz it buys more time in chase to stop the snow ball Pain res + gen lock etc does

if the tables are in awkward places this strategy is p.much not super useful especially if the table doer gets intercepted, or a rando ruins it.

Not to mention killers like legion ruin it altogether.

  • @Abyast1 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4094817#Comment_4094817

They need to go back and fourth (aka, spend maybe 45s in most cases I've seen because theres always a trolley near one of the tables) and for it get to heal the whole team a health state, and get a huge buff like extra pallets/ speed/ teleports.

It affects most killers, because healing a health state is healing a health state and unless you can apply deep wound itll heal them all 1 healthstate. Its why legion/deathslinger are popular in the event, because it nullifies the healing.

Its not a "little macro or map control" its sb on no cooldown, healing a health state, portaling around or resetting pallets.

Invisibility is easy to track for most killers ive played against, its not that strong. If you are getting tunneled out before 2 gens 1 of 2 things are happening, either the survivors aren't touching gens at all, or theyre being overly altruistic. There is a thing called doing too much altruism, and if theyre getting you off hook instantly then theyre playing into the tunneling.

Your already running second chance perks and getting tunneled out before 2 gens, that sounds like the soloqueue special ngl. You do get some of those survivors who wont do anything (gens/banquet/ chase) and will opt to just hover. Sucks, but doesnt speak to why the powers arent incredibly strong. We wouldn't look to the worst examples of a killer to decide how to balance them, we'd look at what their potential is (hence why spirit/blight/nurse get nerfed, because they have the potential to do the same), we should do the same here, and look at what the potential of the event is when talking about balance, which is survivors playing somewhat efficiently and the killer having an incredibly hard time because of it.

Honestly if they could make the distance more consistently long ranged and a time commitment, I wouldn't be so bothered by it. It's the extreme cases where the carts are next to the tables I think it's horrible.

Ive been told for the last 2 weeks to just watch grass moving to counter Jason 🙃

But Jason doesnt also make blue splashes and an obnoxiously loud ringing noise Scratch marks at the end and beginning and footsteps lol

  • I don't think so personally, you just need to be used to them. You let gens go that are far away and play in a more controlled area like a defensive playstyle around a certain territory.

If you try to patrol the whole map, you're gonna fail. The strat is to play around the middle so everything is in reach.

How do I know? I play loads of trickster/Huntress and Unknown (I have my teleports but as people know they can get cleansed and require set up).

That said, a global teleport mechanic or perk would go such a long way, someone else suggested it a while ago.

  • The amount of people who can't come up with their own opinion by PLAYING the game concern me lol

No one posts their stats or clips when giving feedback, I'd be a lot more understanding if they could actually show just how bad it's been for them. Coz it's hard to believe randoms at face value anymore lol.

  • Yeah idk why the survivor food items dont despawn since killer bottles do, it's odd

  • I use furitive chase and friends til the end in my killer games to specifically not tunnel:

    image.png

I do just fine also lol

  • I guess there is no harm in trying them at 115 how they are now, see how it goes.

Can't be any worse than facing hex Jason in his current state

Also as a MiNa player, she plays Ji-Woons voice at the end of main event currently, can we fix that lol and the diamonds on her shoulder are rigged incorrectly, they float off of it.

I'm not normally the first to jump to AI accusations immediately, but I'm guessing AI read 'Boon: Shadowstep' and assumed it's something that teleports people around the map, 'cause Shadowstep is a teleporting skill in other games.

Now I want a teleport tho, if it worked like portals we currently have but an exhaustion where the killer can follow

Yeah, it's causing a lot of crazy gen placements too like 6 gens close together I've seen, but also really far apart in some cases too.

They definitely tried something new, which I can't fault them for, but something like this but more set in stone I feel could go a long way in event queue for creating intended experiences.

They could make changes. Tweak numbers. Limit how many times you can go invisible. Scale back the survivor power ups. They just won't do it. But they could.

maybe there will be some in bugfix 2 this tuesday, if it is this tuesday

Comp players were not the ones claiming that PTB Krasue was weak.

No I'm not gonna name names, but I watched the opinions live of particular CC's who are in the consultant program

I never noticed that. They were just gone. Like they even did the invisibly in front of me and I didn't notice a sound or blue splashes. I'll have to pay attention when the next killer challenges come out.

I just don't get why they gave survivors a bunch of new mechanics they can do and took away all killer mechanics from the previous event and just gave them a clown bottle. I wouldn't mind all this extra stuff they gave survivor if killers could remote hook, remote break pallets, etc like in previous versions.

No for sure, I think they should give killer more to play with

But also the dinner carts next to the tables, I saw one right ontop of a table in Azarovs, that's the main issue, if they were a time sync it'd be fine, they need to get rid of the random spawns in event queue, it just causes problems they cant control

——^ this is the main issue

They need to get rid of that and being invisible. It sucks because now I can't do the killer challenges unless I farm. I just got done with a game where survivors were able to turn invisible and you just lose them. As someone who has been playing since 2019 and was very excited for this huge milestone - I'm extremely disappointed. I say this as someone who legit plays both sides.

Once I get my challenges done, I just go back to normal and deal with the long wait time if I want to play killer. I would love to play the event as killer and have fun - but yeah… that's not happening.

invisibility makes a constant ringing noise directionally and the grass moves AND it leaves blue splashes.

The real issue with this event is the map spawns, they learnt NOTHING from the blood moon

Fun fact - a lot of those competitive content creators are part of BHVRs consultancy team lol so they're literally helping direct the future of the game. Fun!

Yeah… the only thing I'm super grateful for is the blight changes that they helped with. A lot of the other things I feel they have gotten really wrong. Like Krasue at launch, I was watching their opinions of the ptb how she was "weak". Of course everyone can be wrong sometimes, I just idk.

Still hoping they revisit perks again soon and help ones which could really use it (the walking dead/Vee and Krasues chapter/FNAF) coz we've gotten some utterly useless perks over the years on both sides.
