I think Legion is next on the list for killers to be reworked so maybe wait and see if the rework makes him sound fun?
Or Trickster if the buffs make him competitive.
Based on the killer power only in current live state, I'd probably go with Oni.
In terms of perks you already have most of the good ones from those killers. Except for Mad Grit of course c:

How are they add ons that 'counter Iron Will'?
They're add ons that increase the volume of survivors, if anything Iron Will is meant to counter those add ons.
It's like how Distortion can counter All Seeing Blood or Scratched Mirror.
So give Iron Will a charge limit like Distortion. Or some limitation other than permanent silence for eternity including no longer needing to breath?

Many people gave critical feedback on the animations at the time of the rework. The devs even had a specific thread pinned in the feedback section for animations and HUD feedback and updates. Then they just stopped posting updates or fixing anything.
I still hate the standing idle meerkat pose and injured bathroom shuffle run animations. I believe they even mentioned them being addressed in a dev blog a few months ago and nothing has come of it since.
-
I got tired of bringing them, seeing 5 cakes at the offering screen, and getting tunneled into the dirt with 5k base points. I'm only using them if I'm at least in a 3 man swf.
Same treatment as killer, I only bring cakes now if I'm playing a strong killer with good perks. Tried playing nice and got clicked, bagged and "ggez"d

Fun idea, I like it

As said before, if the fans can make such a huge improvement this shows she needs fixing. As an artist myself I would be ashamed to have that in the game. Even if it just the face she is beloved character by many and needs to be treated as such, not some toss away character for a quick $$$.
Wow, that's such a huge improvement. Come on devs!

I want for this to be fixed as well but let's face it, it's most likely never going to happen. Her face is screwed forever just like Quentin, $15 well spent for all of us.
They fixed Jonathan, so there's some hope...
-
This makes me sad, especially when they're hyping all the survivor face reworks for the midchapter. Please fix this, I feel burned for spending $15 on this skin.
-
I think crouch nodding disappeared with the DLC patch. I used to crouch and look down in shame after missing a skill check next to a teammate. Now it just looks like I'm staring into their soul o.o
-
You can look at her from any distance and any angle. She doesn't look at all like Claire.
-
Come on devs, fix Claire please. They went back and adjusted Jonathan so there's hope right?

It feels like a kick in the teeth to release NEW skins like this. It looks like the same level of quality as pre-rework nea. Not even that- she looks ALOT like Nea actually. I love Jill and Leon. Leon is 100% accurate. Jill isn't but still looks pretty good. Chris while I have some nitpicks is still passable. But what the hell happened to Claire?
How can someone look at this and say: Yup! that's worth 15 bucks! Is it because the art team is busy with reworking everyone? And don't even get me started on Cybil. It just doesn't feel right that the face reworks are happening to bring characters up to standard yet they can release this thing.
Sorry if I may come across as nitpicky but I genuinely do love Claire as a character. And it kinda sucks seeing as how she got the short end of the stick when everyone else looks great.

Completely unacceptable for a $15 skin. Going to keep commenting until we receive answers and a timetable for a resolution.

I don't really see the problem with Jill, Chris, and Nemi in those comparisons. They at least look like the same basic face shape and features. Claire looks NOTHING like her source material D:
-
Has BHVR responded anywhere to the criticism yet? Or is it still the "this is fine" meme?
-
I like Claire's voice. I don't think she's any louder than Meg, Jane, Jeff, etc. Please fix her face so she actually looks like Claire though... >:c

Do you know why?
I really don't see whats wrong with the current model besides some differences in shadows.
As others have stated, its because she's the only one of the four that looks nothing like her source material and looks more like something you would see in a "don't do drugs" seminar.
-
@Rezblaze said:
Ah yes comparing a AAA engine to theirs. How dare they be visually different.
Very few people have complained about the other 3 survivors that came from the same AAA engine. Why do you think that's the case?
-
@White_Owl said:
Tbh Claire in RE2 remake looks like a doll, the DbD version looks more like an actual person.
Ah yes the DBD art style where no licensed character can be remotely attractive or look anything like the source material. We paid for Claire, not a meth head in Claire's jacket.
-
I've seen fan retextures of the current DBD model that look way better than what we currently have in game.
This is unacceptable for a $15 skin. Not to mention they're just now showing off all the updated character faces but release Claire like this.
Fix. Claire. Please.
-
I'm furious about Claire. Not spending another dime till they fix her.
-
A skin that costs more than the whole DLC. My wallet is closed to BHVR until they fix this. :c
-
Please fix this devs!
-
Have the devs acknowledged the feedback on Claire anywhere? So disappointed in the quality for a $15 skin. Hoping for a retouch...

yeah... no.
dead harding over a trap is the most BS thing ever.
it's like if there was a perk where, after you stun the killer you lose a health state.
Oh you mean spirit fury?
-
Any Means Necessary is a blast vs the zombies c:
I've been slapped by them many times this week but I think they're fine.
-
Who cares if the vaccine is destroyed by Franklins? They don't have a great impact on the match result. God forbid Franklins has slight synergy with Nemesis's power? The vaccines are by no means critical to the survivors defeating Nemesis, and they would have plenty of time to pick them up before Franklins destroyed them. Not to mention, there are FOUR vaccines.
As others have stated earlier, most of the time survivors use the vaccines immediately after looting them from the supply chests anyways. Terrible change.
-
The problem I have with Spine Chill is it enables the most boring and effective survivor tactic, forcing the killer to hold W for 30+ seconds before a chase can even begin.
I also find it takes away any tension of repairing a gen in a dangerous location, which kills the horror atmosphere for me as survivor.
Idk what to do with it without gutting the perk though.
-
On most maps, they're a compromise between main buildings being broken op loops like they used to be, and dead zones like they became when said loops were removed. I'm fine with them. There are some placement issues here and there however.
-
I'm also a Kate main. As anxious as I am to have BHVR "rework" my favorite character, the still images don't look...too terrible.
But like you said, the animations with the new model look weird. I've noticed it on almost all the survivors they've shown. It's definitely the Jonathan effect. Hope they intend on fixing it. Otherwise, I'd rather keep the current lower res faces with animations that match them.
-
Please tell me they're updating the face animations to fit the new character models. So far the still images have mostly looked like improvements but the preview vids give them the Jonathan using Steve's animations treatment. They NEED to adjust the animations to fit these new models or they're all going to look weird in game.
-
I too bring night vision goggles when I play hide and seek. It's just personal preference, I think it looks better and reduces eye strain. /s

that takes both more skill than a j-flick and isn't an exploit so i have literally no complaints there
Exactly, I can handle losing to a player who has mastered the mechanics of a killer.
-
Thinking of all the times I read "it's not an exploit :)" in post game chat after losing to people abusing it. Might actually be fun to go against PC Blight players again.
-
"Going forward, we’ll work on polishing some of these animations, including the idle and injured running animations."
This was two months ago and we haven't had any more progress on fixing the animations. Are these still being worked on?

Something like 1.5 seconds to start the action, then start removing one laceration every 1.5 seconds.
If somebody just tightly loops something with high walls for 15-20 seconds, you lose all value from knives you've landed thus far.
If you land some good long range knife shots, but it's not enough to outright damage, they mean absolutely nothing.
This doesn't laceration difficult to get rid of outside of chase (at most, this is a 12 second action).
I love this idea. I would actually like to see them make it require a teammate to pull the knives out. This would force survivors to group up (where Trickster is at his strongest) and give Trickster some much needed slowdown in his kit.
As it stands, there is nothing Trickster does that the other ranged killers can't do better. He just can't get downs fast enough but is shoehorned into being a 1v1 killer by the laceration decay.
-
I use We'll Make It all the time. It doesn't need a buff.
-
I'd like to hear arguments for how the maps being significantly brighter makes sense in a horror game. Lack of information, especially visually, creates a feeling of fear and suspense, even when the killer isn't close. Seeing the killer all the way across the map due to the brightness and lack of fog removes any doubt for when its safe to traverse the map or work on objectives. And as the OP pointed out earlier, flashlight blinds will look incredibly silly in daylight.
-
Several of the reworked realms removed all the fog, which makes them a lot less scary imo. Regardless of light level, being able to see the killer from miles away takes away any suspense when traversing the map or working on objectives as a survivor.
You can see this in the reworked Autohaven maps. I have a hard time seeing details on them due to the weird green tinge and very dark shadows, but can see the killer all the way across the map at open areas.
I don't understand why this is being done in a game themed around horror.
-
The main benefit of caging someone late game with pyramid head was extra time to find the hatch. So now every killer gets that for free, when they already have an advantage over the last survivor in that situation.
Can we not start putting the "option" in "accessibility options"?
-
Playing survivor, I would consider myself lucky to play against Trickster on autohaven compared to Oni, Nurse, Blight, or Huntress. Any of them will be a lot scarier on those maps.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
I really hope they keep Hook Suicides in the game.
Yes, I know, all Killers want to have this, because no Survivor should get the Hatch. But it does nothing for Survivors that Hook Suicides are prolonged by that. A person who does not want to play the game will not start playing if they get unhooked, if they originally wanted to suicide. If anything, they will be more annoying and sabotaging their team, if they dont go afk (which would be better tbh, lol).
Exactly, why do people think someone trying to leave a match will suddenly play normally because you unhooked them again? Just let them leave and move on.
As for me, I'm not looking forward to being forced to wait in a lost cause for my smooth brain David teammate to farm me again for WGLF stacks before I can get into a new match.
-
Spawned into a survivor game on saloon with Ash staring into my character's soul 6 inches from her face. It was super awkward.
-
I'm so tired of 3 new threads about this being started every day that repeat the same arguments.
"Why should my exploit be removed? Removing my killer's counterplay is fun design and makes him more skillful. If you disagree, you're just an entitled survivor main."
"You can't remove my exploit because another unrelated exploit exists."
"Flicks only account for landing a couple hits per match so they aren't even a big deal. Also if you fix this not a big deal thing, I'm quitting playing him forever."
Get. Over. It.
Blight will still be a strong killer without a broken lunge mechanic.
-
Love reading about people quitting over the devs being "survivor sided" 2 days after DS was massively nerfed.

Oh wow that's great. Just what a high skill floor killer like Blight needs, to be another killer that requires ZERO attention on the survivor part of their positioning and distance from the killer.
I already barely play this game anymore because of how ridiculous its gameplay decisions are. The only thing that gets me to come back to the game is that I do so love Blight. I'll just have a reason to finally uninstall it for good as soon as this ######### change happens.
ffs...Mildly hide behind a rock "Oh sorry your power is useless now teehee" what the ######### else should one expect from survivors.
Posted this in another thread but here are my thoughts.
The flick arguably raises blight's mechanical skill ceiling but substantially lowers the strategic/game knowledge skill required to get hits at tiles.
Scott Jund's blight guide showed its entirely possible to use his power at almost all tiles without using an exploit, by anticipating survivor movement, understanding tiles, and planning bounces. Getting hits by instead using flicks to rush straight at survivors around structures bypasses what should be a more impressive combination of both mechanical and tactical skill.
Secondly, blight's lunge hitbox is MASSIVE. trying to dodge out like you might vs billy usually still results in a hit. It's obviously not an intended mechanic and it's incredibly frustrating to play against.

In my haste I forgot to point this out.... it takes 320 seconds to fully regress a gen from 99.99999 to 0 with tier 3 ruin. Not 30 seconds. Huge difference. Facts matter
Pretty sure tier 3 Ruin regresses at half a solo survivor's repair speed, not a quarter. So it's actually 160 seconds to regress a 99% gen, not 320. Base regression being 25% and tier 3 doubling to 50%.
-
It would be nice for killers to have something to counter spine chill other than moonwaking to gens like an idiot. Imo that change might be better applied to the Undetectable status. But either way I like these ideas.
