This perk is the only reason I want to be able to see my teammates' loadouts when I go into a match. I hate going into a match where someone is throwing by running a perk that puts the entire team at a disadvantage, and I would gladly dodge a lobby if I knew someone had No Mither.
I feel the same way. At least with flashlights, there's the chance they could get a game-winning flashlight save. With no mither, that player is essentially handicapping both themselves and the team as a whole, without any benefit being provided. Incredibly frustrating to see a no mither player as a Survivor. Incredibly good to see a no mither player if you're playing Killer though. Probably means an easier game.

Tombstone piece Myers is borderline overpowered, especially when paired with PWYF and a faster stalk add-on. Ghostface doesn't have anything even remotely close to the level of strength of a tombstone Myers.

I think these two are pretty close overall. I went with Pyramid Head only because I think he has a vey slightly easier time getting injuries and downs with his attack mid-chase and also because his Cages are actually big time savers.
Plus the cages are very good for tunnelling someone out fast if the situation calls for it. Artist has better chase but I think pyramid head might have a slight edge when factoring in his whole kit.

Title says it all really, I and a lot of others, really miss the exciting FP chase theme for Oni and it's been gone for over a year. I don't wanna keep skimming patch notes hoping to see "Added Oni's POV chase music back." It really just doesn't feel the same anymore without it and would make a lot of people happy.
Sincerely, an Oni main.
Not an Oni main by any means, but I do miss the old chase music too. I second your proposal. Alternatively, they could make it so his terror radius swaps to the old one for both sides when he goes into demon mode (not sure if that's it's proper name, can't be arsed to check).
For anyone who doesn't know what the old chase music sounded like:

Solo queue has also been a nightmare, and i've been left to die on 1st hook. What's happened to MMR?
Split up to deny him chained frenzy hits, heal only if you have a quick means of doing so (COH) and just hold M1 on those good ol' gennys.

When required by licensed chapters or skins that change the character (Oni's Minotaur, Trapper's Krampus, the Crypt TV set, etc), linking a set makes sense. But all of these linked sets are kind of hampering our ability to customize our character.
Now, if a character is wearing a dress (Yun-Jin's gorgeous blue set, Jane's goddess dress), it would make sense to lock the torso and pants, but the hair could very well be unlocked for more attractive customization.
If a character is wearing a hoodie, sure, lock the head and torso together. (Although the existence of Bunny Feng's unlocked hoodies proves that the ability to equip hoodie heads with other outfits leads to some really cute combinations).
Please don't bring up the cosmetic glitch; not everyone plays on a platform that can glitch, and not everyone wants to risk the potential of getting banned for an exploit, however small the risk is.
I'm pretty sure with all the other issues & bugs this game faces as we wait for QOL changes, cosmetics overlapping a little is the last thing players care about. Survivor charms already clip through the clothes, and existing linked sets clip as well.
If the design team could find a way to unlock certain older designs that wouldn't cause body invisibility, or at least going forward, stop designing so many that require locking, it would go a long way in helping us all feel a little more free to make our characters unique. <3
Funniest thing about that to me is that even when worn in a full set, sometimes cosmetics still have obvious clipping issues so linked sets being introduced to stop clipping is really silly to me. Great example would be Jeff's unhinged rider outfit (my favourite cosmetic in the whole game and 90% of the reason I even main him) has an issue with the hair literally clipping into the fur on the back of the outfit. The hair literally has no clipping issues with other body items, but clips with the one it comes with, lol.

I didn't see him as gay before is all I meant. I do recall reading his information page in game awhile back and never saw anything that implied he was or could have been.
I mean, alright. People don't always give off signs though. From what I've heard, it's not unheard of for gay men to be so deeply in the closet that they actually get into heterosexual relationships. David not showing signs of being gay is something that can and does happen IRL.

Yeah it’s great to have. I don’t want to speak for lgbt people here but I feel like finding it out through reading the archive that slowly developes would feel much better than them just saying “yeah he’s gay” basically
Well, there's a chance they announced it for David because he's the first character who's officially lgbt+. They may just start including it in lore without saying anything in the future.

Yep. I said yesterday in another thread that I think most people who play DBD will probably never even know David King is gay. The only reason I found out was because I saw it on the dbd twitter page which I rarely go to. To me it was like here is who you thought David King was and now here's who he really is which isn't the David King I've known all this time. To me he was someone else. Someone I saw him as and someone I wanted him to be. It just seems better this way.
David is still David though. All that's changed is that canonically, he's into dudes. I don't get what you mean.

it's not losing that makes me upset, it's the execution of these perks in the pursuit of making the game not fun for the other side that makes me upset
you are focussing too hard on me "losing" when i gave an example of a game that i won, very handily, and still felt bad about because of the way i accomplished it.
You're right in the sense that the current meta being quite unpleasant. The prevalence and strength of second chances on the Survivor side can sometimes force Killers to play dirty to win, which sucks. At the end of the day though, the meta clearly isn't going anywhere. I mean, COH has been nerfed 3 times now and it's still insanely broken. Best we can do as players is try to find enjoyment in the chase and off-meta stuff. Enduring Spirit fury is quite fun if you're annoyed with or bored by basic M1 gameplay. That kinda thing.

Only issue I have is the tweet tbh. Letting people figure it out through reading the tome would’ve been better imo
A lot of people don't read lore though. Might not have generated the same buzz. They should've had lgbt+ rep from the start so them announcing it through Twitter 6 years after the game's release feels a little... insincere maybe? Better late then never I suppose. Still great news regardless.

i play to give the survivors / the killer a good match, and people purposefully taking things that make the game miserably difficult just to be poor sports at the end makes the game not fun.
i think that is a completely normal and reasonable thing to be upset about, and i think that it should be addressed.
Ok, I can understand being upset by BM and all that. However, the fact that people use meta and play to win shouldn't be a problem. If you really are playing casually (Just in it to have fun, regardless of if you win or not) then losing shouldn't be a problem. Even if you nerf the current meta, a new one will form. Most games has a meta of some sort.

so i switched, equipped a bunch of strong perks including devour hope, stomped the hell out of the lobby i was in, and noone said anything to me
i don't feel good before doing that, and i don't feel good after doing it. i'm just not having fun no matter which way around i play. playing casually is impossible, and playing sweaty isn't fun it's just miserable even when i win.
i just really want something to be done about the strong perks on both sides. remove all the second health state perks from survivors, remove all the instadown perks from killers, and let's just play the video game normally again, yeah?
Playing casually means you're just trying to have a good time and don't care about winning. If you really are playing casually all the time then your MMR should be sinking. Thing is, playing casually means you'll lose to sweats and that's fine. You can't play casually AND expect to win. That's just silly.

I've seen this as an issue for both survivors and killers, for survivors they can loop victor for hours and receive no blood points from what is objectively a more difficult chase to deal with. As a killer I have a challenge in the new Tome: Devotion to chase someone right after Hoarder activates, so I did, but as Victor. and so my chase didn't count and I can not be more frustrated. I understand that technically Charlotte is the killer NOT victor, however since victor is doing the majority of the work, the bp categories gotta count the same way, for at least chases which is the ONE thing he does
not trying to sound aggressive, I think this just makes sense and should be updated
thanks, love you dev team <33
This usually isn't a big issue though because an experienced Twins player would probably down pretty quickly with Vic. As a result the Victor portion of the chase would be short. It isn't a terrible idea that they add your suggestion, but I'd be a bit concerned that they'd end up shadow-nerfing them again. The Twins have been shadow-nerfed so many times at this point that I'd honestly prefer if they were just ignored for the most part.

Mine would be some polishing to Twins, Ghostie, and Slinger to make them less clunky and nicer to play as.
I'd also like changes to perks such as Resurgence and Solidarity to account for the new Hemorrhage, and for Dead Hard to be tuned down a peg.
Most of all though, I really want any form of advanced graphics settings such as disabling Anti Aliasing.
My 1# dream is for a proper new game mode. Not an event mode that changes the gameplay a bit but then disappears, I mean an actual main stay game mode. Regardless of how balanced it'd be, it WOULD add a lot of new buzz in the community and may even bring some older players back, even if only briefly. It would also add more variety to the game and shake things up, which is something that the game sorely needs right now. Considering the questions on the most recent player satisfaction survey, it would seem that Behaviour are at least considering it. I really, REALLY hope they do end up making new game mode(s). I genuinely think it'd do the game a lot of good, even if it's balancing was a bit off.

Feedback for the devs. Telling why a game that the OP obviously wants to love isn't working for him.
(As stated in many similar threads were a comment like yours was posted.)
Yeah, because typing in all caps and declaring that they're going to quit the game is definitely the constructive criticism that the devs are looking for. Especially since most of the OP's complaints/advice either don't make sense or are a bit silly. Reduce queue times? How? You can't just say 'reduce the queue times 4head' and expect that to be taken seriously. The only actually good point they made is to have a non-SBMM mode. A casual mode of some sort could be a good thing, I agree. Unfortunately, it's immediately followed by them typing in all caps saying that grades should factor into matchmaking, without explaining their reasoning at all. They then say that SBMM has made the game unfun for them, which is valid, even if 'fun' is entirely subjective. Their final complaint genuinely doesn't make sense though. Of course they're gonna face a lot of Legions. They were just buffed a few days ago.
Overall, I tend to dislike posts like these because they usually come off as though they're looking for pity or a reason to rage. To be fair, there sometimes are posts like this with genuine constructive criticism, but this ain't it chief. Chances are, this post will have gone entirely ignored by the devs.

I haven't enjoyed this game since SBMM was NOT a thing. (Seeing legion 5 times in a row was not fun either...)
I could go on and on but at this point no one is listening and nothing will be done so the only option is to leave. Liked the game but terrible decisions ruined it.
I seriously don't get why posts like this exists. There's no discussion to be had. It's just 'I'm quitting DBD' followed by most of the replies being 'ok bye'. Literally pointless.

The problem with the faded colors is that the charms are already so small it's difficult to even see details like that.
I just hate how it looks aesthetically, it makes no sense at all to me.
That's fair. I've always just seen the charms as a cute little thing to wear for oneself. They're not really meant to be overly flashy. At least, that's just the way I see it.

Sure we still have the original rainbow one, but it would be neat to get other flags like the Trans and Bi ones.
Honestly, I like the new flag. The colours seem a bit faded, almost like it's been in the Entity's realm for quite some time (which I think is pretty cool). Personally though, I'd like to see the Asexual flag. I'm not Asexual, but someone quite close to me is so I'd like to see that added.

I feel totally deceived. My opinion is that such important information about any characters shouldn't be thought up and added to the lore after years of this character already being in the game! That is so forced, unnatural, you just have chosen one of the survivors and started to rewrite the whole his life!
You know, that´s really unfair. As a woman, I´ve just lost my favorite male survivor. I think that having some ideal characters, maybe even sexualized is OK in videogames, so why the hell you are don´t take care of the female part of your community???
I understand the needs of LGBTQIA2+ community, but you could make for them a new character so that your changes wouldn´t inflict the current fan base of any already existing survivor.
There are several male characters whose sexuality is ambiguous, so 'losing David' isn't a big deal. Get over yourself.

I saw someone else comment about this as well and I really want this to be clear.
Some people are just going to play David and use his sexuality as an axcuse when they get tunneled. I'm sure people are going to report for this as well. I just want to know if BHVR is going to take these reports serious or not. And just to be clear, I'm not asking this becuase I want to tunnel David from now on. I just want to know if it's true ot not. In case this is true I never touch killer again becuase that would be redicilous. I'm just playing the game and I'm not going to avoid tunneling a David because of this. I've been accused of tunneling someone because they had the rainbow flag charm, that was just straight up NOT TRUE.
I really want this to be answered.
They're only going to take reports like that seriously if you
A: Tunnel the same David player in multiple games.
B: Tunnel a David and then say you did it because of the character being gay.
If you're just playing normally, then you're at essentially zero risk of being banned for this. It's not an issue.
-
I think having 4 tokens is fine. I just think there should be some way to regain tokens. Perhaps each time you unhook another Survivor, you gain another Survivor, you gain 2 tokens or something like that. Basically keep the current token count but give it better sustainability throughout a match so it's not a dead perk by the middle of the game.
-
I think the issue isn't necessarily with there being too many pallets (although there undoubtedly are). I think the bigger issue is the fact that most of the pallets are super duper safe. It basically turns into pallet breaker simulator and only further emphasizes the problems with current DBD. If they made most of the pallets at least semi-mind gameable, then the map wouldn't be nearly as problematic.

Total tangent, but manI wish Sony would just sell back the Spiderman related character licenses to Marvel. They keep pumping out these movies with cool looking trailers that totally bomb. I was all set to maybe see Morbius and it got a 16% on Rotten Tomatoes at which point I just said "Nope!" 😝
I can't imagine they will. Sony seem set on having their own mini MCU of sorts. If the next movie they release also bombs then maybe they'd sell. Not talking about Spiderverse 2 though. That's going to print money when it comes out in 2078 :)

I mean, it is a Meme at this point, but if you dont enjoy a game, play something else. There is no point in playing games if they are not fun for you.
However, Killer in DBD will always be the more demanding role. Because it is the "1" in the "1v4". Obviously there is more to do. But personally, I would not call it stressful.
Because when I play Killer, I know who is responsible for me losing - it is me. I just wish more players would maybe go that route and think "Yeah, maybe I did not play well this game" instead of blaming everything for their losses.
And, as Killer, I at least dont have to deal with this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/EUZYQLQ5ICRH/screen1.jpg
Or this (Tapp crouching in front of me instead of Unhooking against a very fair-playing Trickster, escapes through Hatch after moving from Locker to Locker with 12k Points and has the audacity to say "gg"):
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/284VIQFRTTHH/screen2.jpg
Or this (Yui did not bother to get me out of this Trap, she did not even think that there might be a reason why I dont struggle out myself):
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6VBZ92Z5BT7W/screen3.jpg
So, while Killer is more demanding, I find it less stressful, because I know that I am the reason why the game went poorly. And I dont have to rely on anyone else.
But, if you want that Killer is not demanding anymore, then DBD is not the game for you. Because it will never happen that the side with only one player will have it easier than the four players.
Tbf to the Survivor in that last screenshot, they may not have realised that he had that add-on. Trapper is on the rarer side these days because he kinda sucks.

But thats the thing, stronger killers meaning you are more dependent on your teammates, and ultimately more skill needed for survivors, that means less of playerbase. Always happens in this genre, so devs should be careful, I foresee even bigger loss of playerbase.
Maybe. Survivors still have plenty of tools to combat this though so it's mostly fine I'd say.

Power Creep, most of the new killers are antiloop(except sadako), and new killer perks are very strong metas usually, not to mention that maps getting reworked to be killer favored, reworking killers to be stronger, but worst will be the severe healing nerf. Also the key and hatch nerf, you are now on killer mercy when comes to escaping.
Survivors receiving nothing, CoH was good but getting gutted, for solo already was close to worthless.
If you make solo very hard to play most of the playerbase will be lost.
Just watch out for the new update.
I agree that there's a lot more anti-loop killers. Although, they can be countered somewhat by the hold w playstyle. Not particularly engaging but it is something. The reworked maps seldom become killer sided so I don't really know what you mean. Badham is still incredibly survivor sided, the game has even more pallets then it did before and they're all safe etc. COH isn't really gutted. It's a good deal weaker but it was completely broken on-release so the nerfs were pretty necessary. Solo is manageable as long as your teammates are reasonably competent. That isn't always the case but that's kind of a matchmaking issue really.

Yeah you are right.
Very strong killers = less playerbase.
Weaker killers = huge playerbase (dbd)
Now with recent survivors nerfs the game losing popularity, if killers getting more buffs, the game will even more players, luckily dbd has licenses and also killers in this game still not that strong, but they are getting there.
Recent Survivor nerfs? Whaddya mean?

Unless you are using disgusting addons with the above, with 4 meta perks - its just not possible to have any kind of fun. What are BHVR doing? Ohtofu recently made a video about the REAL problem with this game its on the nose.
Every survivor has DH. DS, BT then add in a cheeky boon or unbreakble - something disgusting to garnish the scum.
I find myself just ragequitting more and more often now. If suvivors dont want a fun game, why bother?
I'm able to have fun while playing Ghosty even when using corrupt as my only slowdown. Do I win flawlessly every game? No. That's fine though as I'm having fun. Y'know, fun? That thing we play games for? If you're not having fun with the game anymore, just take a long break. It genuinely helps.

He was just diving too deep into horror lore. Realistically the survivors are suppose to be weaker and running for their lives, not running at or dry humping the Killer for the lulz. I think he was just trying to emphasize where the power role is suppose to lean.
it’s a game though, I came back and made it high enough in MMR to see and feel what I had left a year ago. Imma just play survivor till the new Apex Season starts~
That's fair, but I kinda doubt the game would be as successful as it is if the Survivors were all just helpless. In a sense though, Survivors are still weaker then the killer, at least individually. DBD is probably the only asymmetrical horror game where Survivors can't fight back, at least not directly. They can delay the Killer via pallets and perks, but can never actually stop the Killer. Lore wise, the Killer still is the power role and on the 1v1 level, that remains true in-game. It only becomes less like that when you account for the 4v1, but again, if the Killer was too powerful in the 4v1 and 1v1 then the game probably wouldn't have had the longevity it currently has.

Bubba is a contender, but I think Meyers takes the cake.
He's macho M1 man, but you have 3 steps to his power:
1.) Look at people.
2.) Stop looking at people when you're 99% to Tier 3.
3.) Look at healthy person just before you hit them.
You don't have to fake vaults, mind-game, path efficiently, respect pallets, manage heat. Nothing.
Meyers is, by far, the lowest skill ceiling there is.
Once you follow the 3 steps which takes all the skill of:
Being able to look at people
You basically learned the killer to completion.
He's Bubba without the AOE insta-down chainsaw, He's Freddy without the TP or dream passives, he's Huntress with 5% Haste and no hatchets.
He's just an M1 machete man with 3 steps to becoming M1 Machete Man+
Didn't the title say strongest killer with low skill ceiling? I agree that Myers has possibly the lowest skill ceiling in the game, but he isn't particularly strong. I mean, he is kinda busted with tombstone piece but that's super outdated by 2022 DBD standards and probably will be nerfed at some point. Overall, I might pick Plague. She's remarkably simple mechanically and once you understand her fundamentals, there's not much else to learn.

I understand it's an hyperbole, but even my fastest games as Nurse took about two minutes. I'm talking about a 32m range gen grab to exposed hit to drop to hit and blink and hit. It requires survivors who do not run immediately after the first grab and do not keep running.
Even beginner survivors can hold a for while as long as they play carefully.
Also, one typical tactic as Nurse is to play like a fool for a bit so the survivors aren't afraid and do not hide or keep running. It also double as a study of the survivor's moves for the real chase. Never, ever, assume a Nurse is a beginner.
I always treat Nurses as though they're good and play accordingly. Unfortunately, I'm bad and they typically aren't. I never run Dead hard either, lol. Oh well, Nurses are in the minority at my MMR anyways so it's not a huge deal for me. Not a fun time when there is a Nurse but oh well.
-
I started playing in August of 2018 when it was free on PS plus. I wouldn't have taken an interest normally, but some friends at the time wanted to play it so I joined them. Enjoyed it at first but dropped it just before the Legion's release because my friends stopped playing it and I didn't know how to mindgame as Killer. Surprisingly, Holding forwards without doing any mindgames led to a lot of losses which annoyed me enough to quit, lol. I came back a month or two after the third anniversary which is when I REALLY got into the game (I have good ol' Otz to thank for that). Still one of my favourites, even if it pisses me off sometimes.
-
I'm a pretty mediocre survivor who often solo ques and runs off-meta perks. Realistically speaking, my MMR against Nurse should be quite low considering I usually lose when I do face one. Even so, most Nurses I face are at least decent and can typically down any of my teammates (myself included) in 20 seconds max. Fun :)
-
I feel like it could create a lot of confusion and wouldn't add a whole lot to be honest. So I'd rather they didn't do this.
-
I sometimes go through periods where I see a lot more obvious hacking/cheating. Generally speaking though, I barely ever encounter them. I live in Ireland and presumably play on UK servers, considering the amount of people from the UK that I face.

Not super common but I have gotten some hits that were kinda BS even on my screen.

After watching the show (around the time that Ash Williams came to DBD actually) I absolutely fell in love with Evil Dead, and I was so excited when I saw that they were releasing a game, it looks absolutely fantastic.
What I think is absolutely great is that this game doesn't seem to shy away from the strength of the survivors / heroes. A lot of games that fall in the asymmetrical genre advertise power roles like killers or monsters or whatever, but they fail to accurately portray how strong the "victim" role is. In Evil Dead there is no mistaking the capabilities of the survivors, you've got chainsaws, guns, swords, and you are certainly going to be using them to beat the hell out of some demons in a bloody fashion that's close to the heart of what Evil Dead is. Survivors seem to have much more agency in Evil Dead than compared to other asymmetrical titles, they're competent and experienced, and they know what they're doing (more or less).
(Side note, I love that there are FOUR versions of Ash from his appearances in all 3 of the movies and the TV show. It's great to see every version come to back to life, and be represented in in this game).
I think going forward this upfront and honest perspective is going to make balance a lot easier to manage because you're not dealing with the nuances of a power role that is masquerading as the non-power role. You've got two sides going head to head with their own unique tools and objectives, and I think that's going to present a much more unique and fun style of gameplay that other asymmetrical titles aren't going for. While the survivors are fighting back with their own weapons, the Evil you are in control of as a demon is violent with a cruel sense of humor. You have greater movement, awareness, you set up traps, spawn enemies against the survivors, as well as have the power of possession to take control of your own minions, other players, or even objects like trees and cars which is so wild but so very true to Evil Dead.
As for the whole boss protocol thing, I think it's incredibly sad that people are going to put business and politics over the artistry of games. If you've seen Evil Dead, then can immediately tell that a lot of love went into this project and it appears to be incredibly faithful to the world of Evil Dead (both the films and TV series), while also innovating on the asymmetrical genre and creating some entertaining mechanics that are genuinely unique. I hate NFTs as much as the next person here, but I'm not going to just ignore all the work and effort that clearly went into what looks like a passion project for Evil Dead.
Evil Dead has to be my most anticipated asymmetrical / horror title coming out 2022.
For those of you who responded "There's an Evil Dead Game??" or just don't know much about the game, here are some trailers and some gameplay that have been shown so far:

Hiya, Seiko! Didn't realise you were a big Evil dead fan. Some very interesting points you brought up and you're absolutely right! In many of the trailers, it definitely doesn't shy away from showing that the Survivors can bite back in many different ways. Having many versions of Ash is interesting too! I'm curious how the class system will work in that regard. A lot of people will want to play Ash, so I wonder how they're gonna handle that.

The goal is to make it impossible to balance, iirc riot's way of balancing it was straight up disabling certain things
Lol, yeah I'm all for it. Here's hoping the Devs take notice. At the very least, I hope some new game mode will happen. Having just the one game mode is making things a little dull if I'm honest.

So the player survey mentioned a spot about new game modes ( dbd.game/37jZ4TG this is the survey if you want to do it ) and I was literally thinking of a game mode another game had that turned the game into a chaotic mess, and everyone who played the game loved it
Ultra Rapid Fire, or URF, is a game mode in LoL where they took out most of the things that made the game skillful, and turned it into "Okay how easily can we break the game?" this game mode gave you a buff called "Awesome buff of awesomely awesome buffing, basically made abilities cost nothing, cooldowns on abilities were faster, you moved faster, attack speed is faster, and usually 3 joke buffs on it (my personal favorite being "Keep out of reach of designers and people who like sane tooltips")
Now why did I bring this up? Everything in dbd can easily be buffed into oblivion to make it absurdly strong and hilariously strong as a separate game mode, just so we can see how funny it is
Basically double how many stacks some perks can have (imagine STBFL with 16 stacks), reduce cooldowns on everything, and if it doesn't have a cooldown give it some other effect (Billy could easily have better turning and move faster, amanda can charge her dash up faster and move faster, while being in it longer, etc), % on perks with %'s can be doubled (400% ruin) and all aura reading stuff is map wide, reduce the time or double the time things are effective depending on the perk, basically just make everything in the game unneedingly OP for a game mode so it turns the match into a shitshow (Trapper with like 10 traps instead of 5 with almost instant setting speed, while holding every trap, Hag with faster setting speed and 20 traps instead of 10, traps reset themselves, Dead Hard scales up to 1000% instead of how it scales up and down currently, DS having more time added to it, etc), one thing I want to see dbd look like is having everything so unneedingly OP to the point that it just makes game into battlefields instead of what it is now
Obviously it would be impossible to balance, but I think something like this could be good fun! When base DBD is getting dull, you can just swap over to this for some chaotic fun.

Meh.

I absolutely adore Bloodborne, but I haven't really tried other souls games. Things that I love about Bloodborne are missing in other souls games. So chances are, I won't be playing Elden ring. I do hope it lives up to your expectations though :)

The lingering hit box is intentional. And I am quite positive that won't be removed. If I had to guess at least one of the reasons there is a lingering hitbox, it's so survivors can't just run zigzag and dodge the tentacle that way, since it's hitbox is very narrow.
He is not overpowered, I don't think nerfing him would be a smart move on BHVR's side. Considering all the complaints about the nerfs to his two yellow addons.
I do wish that the zombies bugs were fixed and as compensation, they increased the time it takes for a zombie to respawn after being killed by a survivor to 60 seconds or so. But otherwise, he is quite fine. His anti-loop potential is very good, but on the other hand, he needs to hit survivors three times instead of twice to down them, up to 8 times that is.
Crouching definitely helps against Nemesis. Over medium sized objects or windows he can't hit you if you crouch, it doesn't work at pallets though, I am pretty sure. You will however have to time it in most situations, because otherwise he'll just hold his tentacle until je gets around the object where crouching doesn't help you anymore.
When did the Devs say the lingering hitbox was intentional? I'm a fellow nemy enjoyer so I have wondered whether it was intentional or not. Knowing for certain that its intentional would be a relief (mainly because that means it likely wouldn't be nerfed).

Legion is the worst gaming experience I ever had in multiplayer games. I would rather work than "play" as legion
Jaysus, Legion isn't THAT bad.

As others have pointed out, her power seems rather underwhelming from a strength perspective. I guess only time will tell just how she fits into the meta.
