"Admit your salty cuz they're not special anymore and gtfo it"
Obviously people are mad about sharing event cosmetics with every player in the game when they didn't earn it and they did........ that is the reason why people are complaining about this.
I swear people like you are either jealous of not getting the event cosmetics or just incapable of using their brain and realising why this makes them annoyed.
Seriously, this is how dumb u sound, its like me going on the fortnite forums and going, Hey guys I've been playing for like 3 months now and I think its unfair that I don't have the season 1 skins, now im not asking for the battlepass skins, just the free ones because that is fair, and I think this because u know, the skins were just recolors and "the events were #########"
Jealous, SJW, I can't stand these people, and so I say the same to you, stop drooling over event items and "gtfo it"
Lol dude, I was there for the BBQ event, I know the ######### I'm talking about. It wasn't hard, it was laughably easy and honestly a bit boring after a while. The only reason I missed the first Lunar Event is because I wasn't playing at the time. How long have you been playing oh great one?
Also how have they not earned it? The qualifications for earning them were literally doing special hooks and gens, gtfoutta here. They've been doing gens and hooks all this freaking time, or they will be, they'll have more than earned it by that qualification.
You crybabies are acting like you had to make a blood ######### sacrifice to earn these things, no, no you did not. You did normal gameplay and hell you even earned EXTRA BP if you brought the offerings. OMG all you people whining about what do we get as compensation, you already got it, for being there. You also had gens count if you like brought the offering, even if you didn't work on the gen itself. Omg, amazing, innovative. OMG, wow. Who, who would've thought.
If events were better or had you have to go out of your way to do things other than your objective to get them, and then also do the objective itself. I'd say you have a point. (And no, grabbing a special lantern that makes you glow doesn't count. You grab the lantern, you do the gens, you get out you get to keep it. Big whooppity do basil.) Honestly the only event so far that's come close to being slightly innovative was the first Hallowed Blight. You had to do an objective other than your objective if you wanted to get the special stuff, though you could suicide on hook after you milked all the plants and just get slightly less juice, or do the game as normal and get it all, either way it actually added something to the game. Not a lot, it was like cleansing squishier totems, but still. Killer's sadly still had to do special hooks. So not much innovation on their part.
BTW Fortnite battlepasses and events usually have WAY more to ######### do than DBD ever has, like...the equivalency isn't even ######### there (they had ######### Marshmello, they had a robot/giant monster battle, you actually have to go to places and do things other than your normal objective, which BTW is also killing people lol, in order to progress in the battlepass, or just play the game for many many hours. Like, dude. DBD wishes they could have events like freaking Fortnite my dude.). And you know what I'd say, you know what, hell yeah they can have the free skins. I don't freaking care, they are cosmetics in a videogame meant to bring joy and entertainment to the masses. Not a ######### contest to show who's the best ######### whale.

Not everyone should get what they want... They're called exclusives for a reason. (EVENT EXCLUSIVE) Rare skins give the game good variety.
What variety? The events were ######### and the cosmetics were mostly recolors. The only ones that were very different were the Huntress Mask and the Hillbilly hammer, and those pale in comparison to the cosmetics we can get today. Like, just admit you're salty cuz they're not special anymore and gtfo it.
-
I mean I'd say yeah it exists, but mostly for lack of other things to do. Primary objective is to do gens and get out, why waste time with other stuff when you can get to the next game that much quicker. If there were more meaningful objects it'd be a different story, but alas, most other objectives are either time wasters or jusr for points. (yes you can search chests, but that's not necessary and puts you at risk. Yes you can cleanse dulls in case of NOED, but..most killers don't run NOED cause it's not meta, so again, generally a time waster. The only other meaningful objectives there are other than gens are unhooks and chases, and those might not even happen if the survivors are very good, the killer is very bad, or both. Like the problem is no other objective is as important or as worthwhile as doing gens, unless you desperately want that spicy double pip, then getting the door open and getting tf out. More important objectives or other game modes are desperately needed.)

Behavior is literally telling everybody that was loyal and play through those events that their loyalty doesn't matter. It's stupid and it's disgusting that they're doing this.
I played through the barbecue event and the New Year event to earn all of those cosmetics. There were groups running around trying to sabotage and DC so it was very hard to get the Huntress one in particular. Why the hell why Behavior? Why are you telling us the long-term customers that our loyalty is worth an absolute pile of s***?
So very loyal, having to work on a slushie gen, or hook someone on a hook that hissed like a grill. Not like that's what killers and survivors have to do anyway or anything. Also yeah some people were dicks and went around sabo-ing event hook before they made em un-sabo-able in later events, some killers tried to completely cockblock survivors from doing the special gens, there was and always will be dicks on both sides. There were also a hell of a lot of equal farming and people helping each other out, which is what events are SUPPOSED to be about. Community, coming together. But nobody ever seems to mention that.

Yeah I absolutely agree there was NO POINT in adding the BBQ and Lunar event cosmetics. I wore the Dog mask to show Ive been a huntress main since 2018 and same with the Kate Denson cosmetic now they're for everyone and its just :/ what was the point?
So you only liked it cause you could flex, real nice. How about cosmetics are supposed to look nice and make people happy, not make others feel like they've missed out?

Oh alright. So you feel like its a better choice to give the cosmetics for free to everyone that plays the game, than let only the people who paid/played the game back then for the cosmetics have them?
Yup. Exclusives generally only generate bad blood tbh, people always want what they can't have, the people who have it don't want others to have it and get pissy because "MUH EXCLUSIVES." Infighting happens. It's just a bad system all around.

Whos the selfish one here? I made the post (that is now merged into this post) to share my opinion. And Im seeing a lot of people in the forums having the same opinion as me? You're calling me entitled, wow, thats sad.
You're literally complaining because other people can have things that they originally couldn't, because now it's not "special" anymore. Newsflash, that's selfish bruh.

@Adriang14 said:
Idk why it hasn’t been done yet but this would make huntress accessible on many maps without doing too much work. I mean you can hit over them already if you’re far enough but if the survivors crouching it’s not going to hit them. Yet if you’re too close you already have to throw really high for it to go over which won’t hit the survivor at all. Huntresses whole power is about hitting over loops, so doesn’t it defeat the purpose if she can’t throw over the loops. I’m mainly talking about the garbage and tire loops, the truck ones are fine.
Fix her hatchet hitboxes first, then think about fixing what the hatches can and can't collide with.

More like its not fair for the players that actually got the cosmetics when they were out. Imagine paying money/grinding for a free cosmetic.
I was there Gandalf (for the BBQ event) and guess what? I ain't mad.

@TraitorousLeopard said:
I think they either need to-
A) Make challenges that don't involve a single action, but multiple actions. (IE "Be chased for 30 seconds and stun the killer in a trial" rather than "Be chased for 90 seconds in one trial" or "Stun the killer 3 times in 1 trial")
B) Let us have multiple active challenges. Progress is already limited by the challenge-to-challenge paths in the archive, so why not allow for 2-3 active challenges per role?
They really need to let people have more than one active challenge. Like they say they want to make the game less grindy...except for the Rift I guess.
-
Okay and why does something have to be exclusive for you to enjoy using it? So you can show off, flex that you were here before they were? Why are they only special if only some people can use them (especailly as some people who HAD them LOST them because DBD's old servers were absolute dogshit)? Something should be special because you like it, not because someone else can't have it. No, exclusives are dumb and I'm glad they're dying.

Yes but their reasoning is the same. By their logic, “we think this is best for the community” then what’s best for “the community” would be to also give everyone who paid for the rift the cosmetics even if they don’t grind out the fragments.
How is that even remotely the same? One's paid for, one isn't. One brings in revenue to the company allowing them to pay their employees, the other...was from free events??? I'm. No, apples and oranges.

We can add all Rift Cosmetics to this list also though.
Unlock all rift cosmetics for the exact same reasons you're unlocking other past event exclusive items.
Otherwise you're simply full of excuses.
You pay money for the Rift stuff, you paid nothing (except the cost of the game itself) for these events and hell even Legacy. Also they're going to release the Rift cosmetics (idk about the Charms) to the store for sale at a later date.

Looks like I found the topic of my next video....
Difference is you pay for the pass, all these events were free, all you had to do was buy or own the game. And they're going to eventually release all of the cosmetics (unsure of the charms) to the store for sale anyway. Its' exclusivity is that you get to own the pass items for a while before other players can buy them. Either way, you're forking out cash.
-
@LALYTHIA said:
I dont get why they would "unlock" old event cosmetics to people who weren't there for those events. No one who was there should get those cosmetics. They should release brand new event cosmetics for every event. And people newer to the game, for whatever reason, can get their exclusive skins...that people two years from now won't have either. If you're just going to eventually give away all of the exclusive event skins to everyone...######### is the point of even participating in the event beyond normal game play? This is a stupid decision.
That's what they literally did for the first Anni event. That Meg hoodie with the pink jersey? 1st Anni. Yellow Nea top? First Anni. Rose weapon for Nurse? First Anni. People earned it FOR EVERYONE. Even the people who didn't own the game yet or couldn't play during the event.
-
@Speshul_Kitten said:

the point was you had to be there to earn the cosmetics as the devs stated they were obtainable ONLY during the event.
Yes because exclusives have worked out so well for them so far, what with giving exclusive cosmetics out at RL events that you could only earn at those RL events. Oh what's that? People are selling the codes for them for hundreds or thousands of dollars online? Oh what's that? Some people are getting scammed because of this? Yes, "exclusives" sure are great and work out so well and never backfire.
Some people who earned their exclusive Legacy don't have it anymore because of loss of progress and they can't ever get it back because BHVR are stubborn (I wasn't one of them, and I luckily haven't ever suffered loss of progress, but that's the problem with having exclusive items and ######### servers). But exclusives are a good idea.

No, you had to be here to support the game when all you could find were the same group of survivors or killers because the console population was so low.
And that matters how? Doesn't matter how low the population was, you still had the same objective(s). Hook people on special hooks or do special gens, regardless of platform. Population density doesn't matter, the end goal was the same.
If you mean it was harder cuz there was less people on console, either way they were still grindable with the same end goals. It was still possible to do. And anyway that means this is a GOOD thing because if people couldn't grind it out on console cuz population was so low, now they get to have it.
-
No.
-
You had to hook people on special hooks or do special gens, that's so hard. Suck it up buttercup. (I was there for the BBQ Event, P.S. it wasn't that hard)
If events were harder I'd wager that maybe you had a point, but no. You're just sad because it's not special anymore.

50 hours? Was that all? People acting like they-re so elite for 50 hours. Pfft.
Idk honestly, I didn't play then. It might've been more. Maybe a hundred or more. I've heard some people say 300.
-
I'd say this is a good thing. No more exclusives, no more people selling accounts and such. And honestly, you had to do special hooks/gens, which is already both sides objectives. It wasn't that hard.
Legacy on the other hand was for players who had to suffer through the old bloodweb, which from what I've heard was even grindier than the game is now. You had toout so much time and effort in to get all 3 for a character, probably 50 or more hours, meanwhile you could probably get these cosmetics if you were playing in a few hours to a day. Not equivalent at all. These weren't hard to get, legacy was. (Esp as it was a reward to players who had to suffer through their initial horrible and grindy system)
-
Broken keys could honestly be deleted from the game and I'm sure almost no one would complain, an item you can get from a chest that is literally useless without add-ons is so freaking dumb. And no, the game really isn't newbie friendly. They honestly need to update their tutorial so freaking much (though at least they have a tutorial now, lol). It's ridiculous that youtube has better tutorials for literally everything about the game than the game itself.
The scratched pearl is useless without other add-ons though yeah. It's just an aura extender, it's meant to be stacked with something else. Might be nice if they made it so it can only be added if there's only another add-on that it can sync with already attached to the key, to prevent mistakes like that from being made.
-
Love how everybody who disagrees with you gotta claim it's bait.
Hitboxes do need to be fixed, though sometimes hits are due to latency issues, othertimes not though. Huntress's hatchets are a grave offender. Not to mention smaller killers having the same lunge as larger killers, but the hitbox doesn't match so it looks like they're hitting air even though they did actually hit you. Making a new animation for those killers to make the hits match the hitbox would be nice.
Hell they gotta fix the boxes around terrain and stuff too so people stop getting stuck on stuff that's seemingly not there when running or even stuck forever on a tree or some #########. If you can't actually run through something (I'm looking at you twin trees) then don't make it look like you can run through it. That just leads to frustration and potential ragequits from newbies.
Also I think once upon a time they did have pallet stuns drop the survivor regardless of timing (as well as flashlight blinds), dunno when it was removed (again). I'm kind of 50/50 on this one. It's kind of nice that it takes skill, but on the other hand it can be frustrating when you thought it was the end of the animation and nope, waste of a pallet. It's such a small window too.
-
Eh I've had killers purposely d/c before because people brought streamers. People are just jerks sometimes.
Though I do agree I think most if not all offerings should be hidden until post match screen.

"You had to spend a relatively long time grinding through bloodwebs to get event offerings and then go out of your way in trials to obtain them. "
Dude you got literally 2-3 event offerings per web. It got to a point where I was literally avoiding them as much as possible because it was a waste of BP. I have like 30 flowers from the last event left over on my Ghostface. My friend has over 100. Stop acting like it was that hard to get the events stuff done. It wasn't. It was a cake walk, and you didn't even need to go out of your way to earn it. Just play the game normally.
"It's just the act of buying them which seems unfair"
Yet the Blight cosmetics work this way and no one seems to care at all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"If there is really "nothing special" about these cosmetics then why is it so unfair that not everyone has them?"
See my previous comment for why it's a big deal. Devs said they would give them out, then went back on that promise. Had they never said anything I really wouldn't care.
I mean you also didn't have to burn any offerings for the special hooks and gens to spawn. More spawned if you did, but you could just play as normal and at least one of each (I think it was actually 2 but I don't remember) spawned as base. The only thing you didn't get if you didn't burn an offering was the bonus BP.
So you could've actually ground the whole even without burning a single offering. Yes it would've been harder, but only moderately so.
Like my computer was having fits during the BBQ event and my net kept dropping but I still managed to grind out both the Kate and Billy cosmetic with time to spare. That just shows how easy it was. The only way to could be a huge chore is if you were severely impacted by RL issues going on at the time (work, family emergency, whatever), which to me gives even MORE incentive for people to want them re-released in some capacity. Whether that be free, in the Shop, in another event.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
I feel robbed of the Huntress Wolf Mask cosmetic. During that event it was literally impossible for me to play killer. If someone used an event offering there was an 70% chance my game would crash about 30 seconds into the match, and about a 10% chance it would crash during the load screen. Killer was UNPLAYABLE for me, and thus I was not able to earn the cosmetic. I got the survivor one, even though I still got crashes it was much less common (maybe 1 in 10 games).
I call BS on people that feel they "earned" these cosmetics. No you just played the game like you normally did and maybe had to go a tad out of the way to get special hooks or gens. You really didn't do anything special to get these skins. Same with BBQ event. It's not that special.
People like me were screwed out of the cosmetics because the game was flat out broken. How is that fair? Devs decide to give them out to everyone and people made a big stink because they worked SO HARD for them. Not really dude. Unlike Blight cosmetics, there is 0 way to unlock these outside the single event they had.
Either give them out for free like they said they would do or give us another way to earn them. It's total bullshit I lost out on this stuff, which I could have easily gotten had the game been at all functional for me. I earned 3 of the 4 cosmetics in question, I had absolutely 0 issue with people getting them for free. I even main Kate, sure give out the shirt I really don't care. But no, people have to be all entitled to something they "earned" which is nonsense.
Thanks everyone that was selfish.
This!

Because being able to pay for them and receive them instantly without going through the grinding and hours put into the event nullifies the value of the cosmetics for those that put countless hours into obtaining them.
It took a fair amount of dedication and resilience to earn the cosmetics during the events and that's what makes them special. They are unique and currently exclusive to those who worked to get them. Buying them instantly and without going through the event isn't the same as earning them in-game.
You had to hook someone on a special hook or complete a special gen that wasn't any harder to complete than normal. Wow, such skill. Not anything you could do by just playing the game as normal.
-
@fcc2014 said:
The cosmetics were earned by players who played the event.
You did not so you should not get them.
What about the First Anni stuff? That's available to everyone? What's the difference? Why should these exclusives stay exclusive? What's so important that they stay exclusive? You didn't have to do anything different than normal to earn them. The special gens/hooks weren't more difficult than normal, yes you had to bring an offering to spawn more but you didn't need to. They spawned regardless.
I guess new players should also not be able to buy anything that was put into the shop before they started playing as well. I mean, they weren't there when they were released. Why should they be able to buy them. They also weren't there when the first killers and Survivors were released. So I guess they shouldn't be able to access them as well.
That's how stupid that is.

I do agree that some adjustments need to be made to FOV for the survivor. It seams a bit closer after the update. I mean I understand the reasoning behind the rules of 3rd person vs 1st person. Which changes the dynamics of the game. but yes.
IT NEEDS TO BE MOVED SLIGHTLY BACK!
So it's not just me? Recently got back into the game after a many months hiatus and it seemed closer. Made it harder to see behind me.

Most of the new hairs look better imo (esp Nea's green asym bob), and I love Meg's new carnie hair, I honestly didn't like the old one much at all. I'm sad that Claude's bob hairs look worse to me now, I think the bangs ended up shortened with whatev they did, just shorter all around, not as cute to me. But on the other hand her newest hair looks better (tho the makeup is till too bright and atrocious), as does Nea's side cuts.
So I'm fairly satisfied, tho a bit sad that apparently they took away the physics? Boo. :(

the game objectives:
as a survivor, repair 5 gens, escape (they will repair 5 gens, then staying on the map like plants doing nothing.)
as a killer, you have to catch , hook, kill survivors.
farming it's also a reportable thing , and not every player is gonna farm... just because as i said before , there are some players who wants to show that they're "gods", and these events are just a better way to be a c++nt.
Farming's fine as long as you don't single out a person to kill and farm with everyone else.

What's wrong with Doctor? I'd say he's solid mid tier.

Doesn't playing as an SWF already changing the rules of the game and violate the spirit of an isolated horror game?
And doesn't the recent statistic show that higher numbers of SWFs have a higher survival rate in comparison to solos?
Yes voice is usable for everyone, yet only SWFs and rarely random solos are using it.
I would be glad, if everyone would use voice, so the game could finally get balanced around this incredible advantage.
Dbd might've been meant to be a horror game but it's far from one. They could've made it scary but it's just...not.
Yes to point 1, meh to point 2, lol no to every other point.

I disagree with your DS statement and there are not many "Troll Perks" camp them all you want because if the survivors are falling for it then they are bad honestly. I know how it looks because I play killer as well as survivor but sometimes teabagging isn't done out of ill intent my finger tends to slip sometimes and I end up looking like a teabagger. Another thing you have to consider to is sometimes survivors do this on purpose some might just being try to practice chasing bc that's all they care about or something while others are a coordinated SWF and you just end up falling into a trap because their best SWF member is running you around while they do gens.
Sometime people also t-bag as attempted bait to try to get the killer OFF someone else. Like go after me instead, please stop tunneling them and let them get some points at least.

It's survivors vs killers.
Survivors outnumber Killers in votes 4 to 1.
I mean I play mostly survivor and I'd like if they could fix the desaturation/auras as soon as possible. It harms survivors as well, not being able to clearly see where a slugged survivor is for the pickup, if you're not paying attention when the giant black bubble appears when someone's hooked you might be able to see them, might not, Empathy/Bond/Any aura reading perks are practically useless. Like, it's a severe problem for both sides.
-
@tt_ivi_99 said:
Or you can just use Adrenaline, DS, MoM, Exhaustion perk and equip a broken key with the duration and the green aura reading add-on, which give you a 48m range of aura reading and 25 seconds of use.

Broken keys are so useful, that's why you see them in every game! Oh wait...

Adept trophies are hard as heck to get with the new pipping system and the "new" (I know the achieve has always read merciless victory, but it didn't require it or it was bugged for a long time before) merciless victory requirement. Change it back to 4king with only the perks or idk just requiring a Merciless Victory with the killer without having to use only their base perks (maybe base perks and a perk of their choice?) or just whatever perks they want, with a separate achieve for the perks or smth. Or revert the g-d stupid pipping system.
Edit: Or change it so it's "kill all the survivors in the trial" so you don't get brutally ######### out of it if a survivor doesn't load in.
