Standing by the gate and tea bagging?, Sure
He ducked a hit, ducked-a-hit, didn't just spam ctrl (which is how you tbag btw).
-
So get used to never playing dbd again, people teabag, they're never not going to tbag. Even after end game collapse comes out.
-
SWF with comms is not equivalent to hacking, there have been real hackers in this game that can do things far more powerful than a SWF squad. You must be joking, or trolling. Do they have an advantage yes? Do they escape every game? No. Are you more likely to be outplayed by a decent four man SWF sqaud? Yes. Either dodge or improve your skill.
Also way to be rude to Peanits when they basically stated that they're doing everything to can to lessen the gap between Solos and SWF, just because they're not doing exactly what you want doesn't mean they're doing nothing.
-
Yea, I appreciated the double bp "weekend" but feel it was a poor time to do it with Loading Screen Simulator 2k19 at an all time high, followed by my favorite (one or more people d/c-ed again yay!).
-
Sometimes that survivor did something you didn't like, you must punish them.
-
They need to change the Gatekeeper emblem for killer. For some killers keeping not a gen popped for I think 9 mins is a ridiculous request. I think most killer emblems need a severe rework with the new pipping system.
Also yeah, rank reset either needs to go or not happen every month. Maybe every 3 months? I think that's be fair, as well as rank rewards (#make ranking and devotion levels mean something 2k19).
I think it could also help if they increased the BP cap in categories, or made an "overflow" thing where points that you'd normally miss out on in a maxed category instead gets diverted to one you're lacking in (though probably not counting towards pipping? or maybe only if you get a lot of overflow?), maybe the survival category as that one is almost impossible to max anyway.
-
I wish them adding it hadn't meant the death of the awesome button. :(
-
Nah, they'd still be the same as they were before MoM. Lol.

I mean, if you go down to the basement after the gens/doors are powered and the killer catches you, you dun messed up. Even if it's to save a teammate, it's the risk you take.
If they do it before a gen is done/all the gens are done it's a valid, if a bit dickish, move (and I say this as someone who invisi-camped the stairs as Wraith once to ensure my kill for a sacrifice daily).
I'm kinda on the fence if they should (if they even could) somehow widen the stairs or add a second escape route in basement in EGC. For reason stated above, but I also know that feeling of a killer blocking the basement stairs and knowing at least one of you is screwed. So I'm on the fence about this matter in EGC, I feel it's fine in normal gameplay.
-
She's adorable, if you wear the blue pigtails tho prepare for tunneltown, population - you.
-
It's not map hacking, it's coms. Unless the devs can somehow find some way to completely disable coms on both PC and console (wherein they'd lose a massive amount of their playerbase) then you're stuck with it. Not every SWF is a 4-man purple flashlight/insta-heal/BNP/4 toolbox/looping gods. Most are potatoes. And even if they're not potatoes they can still (and do) ######### up. Also not every player knows every map like the back of their hand, sometimes it's a guessing game for SWF too.

Nah, Meg needs BETTER cosmetics, most of them are awful imho (especially the hairstyles), and other characters who have less (Feng, Jake, Kate, Adam, etc.) need more to compensate. Nea also needs better hairstyles.
Edit: Pretty sure the store is broken somehow atm anyway, had my game crash at least twice while trying to look at or exit the store.
-
I haven't tried the PTB myself yet, but, doors take less time opening now? Like just in general or from certain perks? Because if doors just take 15 secs to open now I don't think that's needed. Doors were fine. Unless it's only after the Endgame Collapse has commenced? Like I could see that being a good thing if killer closes hatch and you're the last peep alive, plus doors are close together and unopened, but otherwise I think doors were fine.
-
I P3'd my Kate ages ago and din't get SC 1 for like probably at least 12 bloodwebs. It's ridiculous.
-
Either would be fine now that tiers are next to useless.
-
@AlexAnarchy Sorry but it's driving me nuts. Doesn't, hasn't, don't, the apostrophe goes after the n and before the t. Does not > Doesn't, has not > hasn't, etc.

The first implementation of the new matchmaking was the best for me. Ping times were no worse (PS4, Europe). When they made it regional the queue times suffered immensely.
I'd love to know what the stats are on this. Who exactly was getting these terrible pings? PC owners? US players? Did other European console owners have a positive experience with the "original new matchmaking"?
PC player, US, and I didn't always get awful ping but I generally had to dodge some to quite a few lobbies before I'd get a lobby with yellow or green ping. It was especially annoying the few times I played killed, because if I got a surv with red ping who wouldn't dodge I'd have to wait X amount of minutes to not only get a lobby again but wait for it to fill and hope everyone had decent ping.
-
Lol no.
-
Bunny Feng please!
-
How would it stop stream sniping? And why only a limit on the number of lobby dodges (3 per day?) for survs only and not killers. Not that I approve of a lobby dodge cap for either. People dodge lobbies because of bad/unstable ping, broken lobbies, seeing other survs they don't want to play with/against, and that should be their choice.
I don't think as many people use MLGA now as they used to, and even if they do, so what? the more people they block/dodge the less people they have to play with and the longer queue times are for them. Seems like they're shooting themselves in their own foot more than anything.

TydeTyme may be the second worst content creator to listen to. He always jumps to conclusions, is major killer-sided, and tends to cry over little things. Frankly, I find his material over-analyzed and usually incorrectly.
I used to think he wasn't so bad, a little ranty sometimes and who tended to get way overworked about the littlest things. And then I saw his vid in response to HybridPanda's facecamping experiment.
That and some of his rantier vids just turned me off watching him so hard.

The matchmaking and the unbalanced state of the game are big issues, but I think the huge amount of dc's is the most pressing issue.
This dc mentality is spreading quickly. Players notice that other players aren't getting punished for dc'ing so they start to imitate that behaviour. Each dc = one ruined match.
I don't understand why the devs haven't been acting yet.
I think part of the problem is right now there's d/c's happening that are actually a fault of the game itself, like a literal bug. So rn how do they tell the difference between those d/c's and legit d/c's? In-game we might be able to tell because of the noise when someone intentionally d/c's vs someone who doesn't, but afaik devs have no way of telling the difference. They can't even tell the difference between pulling the cord and using the leave game option. So how do you punish the people who actually deserve it vs the people who want to play and just get randomly kicked?
After they fix this issue then maybe they can try to address d/c's.

By adequately representing the fact that r1 killers cant find games because the devs have things to work on.
But they should already know R1 killers have problems finding games, as it's been a problem for months (except for when the had the new matchmaking system up, which had it's own set of problems) before the new pipping system and has potentially become worse (or at least more obvious) since.

@Kaelum said:
As someone said in another thread, the best way to change it is to make it only work when the killer is carrying a survivor, so that it is a body blocking perk. It would then be a counter to Mad Grit instead of just being another chase extending perk.
But then some people will complain again about how survs should not be able to body block, only killers.
-
Struggling is awful. Please removing the button mashing/mouse wheel scrolling devs.
-
Honestly there'd probably be less dc's in general if they idk, addressed the things that make some people d/c? (I'm not talking about the people who d/c who they're the first one's found or the first ones downed, unless they spawned like right next to the killer)
If they also made rank matter people would probably also d/c less.
Like it says something when a person who is vocally against deranking has to derank to play one side of the game, "fog streamer" or not. How is he supposed to adequately represent the game if he can only play one side?

Ruin already got a buff. It effects everyone at all tiers now.

Agreed. Like I'd even be ok if they just made one unique cosmetic like Feng's purple sweater. Recolors are boring and cheap.

As a Spirit main I've never ever been grabbed by on running it nor surprised hit by one, there's counters but people don't want to run them or learn counters.
Whereas Iri Hatchets are broken due to Grand Canyon wide hitboxes that also hit through walls, rocks, trees.
What are the counters?

No.

I don't care what they would do, give it to meeeee!

I think they should increase just the amount of puke at base it takes to get someone into broken status(which would in turn affect the addons you're speaking of ). Then at the same time remove the heal from fountains and add a slower action speed on gens if infected and broken. This incentivizes survivors to use fountains and also doesn't let her lose her pressure when they do. Now she can be played as more of a spread pressure slow down killer rather than just tunneling into each person which is what we have now. More fun for all and fits her thematically.
Oooh I like this idea! :D
Just to clarify tho the fountains would still fix broken status and get rid of your sickness, but you'd still be injured and need to heal up yes?
-
B-but they have to artificially increase the length of the match somehow without actually addressing core problems! While making it harder for both survivor and killer to pip instead of IDK bringing out a pipping system that actually makes sense and doesn't also force both survivors and killers to almost always play a certain way no ifs and or buts.

Whispers have nothing to do with hearing. Stridor doesn't seem to do much if anything at all. And then we have the changes that devs make, announced or not. Lowering the volume of survivor noises, increasing the music volume and ramping up the occlusion. Good luck hearing anything at all in a couple of patches.
Wat. Are you a troll? Hearing is one of a killer's strongest skills. Unless you're confusing Spies with Whispers? Whispers is where you hear the entity's "voice" when a survivor is somewhere close, aka you need to hear that shiz.
Also I've seen killers use Stridor to find injured survivors fairly easily before so Idek what you're on about.
The sounds def needs to be adjusted tho I agree. Or add some individual things in the options and let us do it our selves to a degree.
After the latest patch I literally had to turn my game volume down though, it was louder than normal and it hurt my ears.

Agreed ,with a name like that you'd think they'd add in quiet footsteps or something.
Half the time I hear survivors as killer it's because I hear their loud ass boot stomps , makes me think of my Gears of War days where I could hear locust stomping across the map lol
Lol. A little off-topic but that just reminds me of the days that you could hear Wraith halfway across the map before you could ever even "see" him. 😂
But yeah lightweight either needs a rework or a massive buff, quieter footsteps could be a great rework.

I would argue that NOED certainly doesn't award good play most of the time. Occasionally you get the person who runs NOED, got a few hooks, maybe a sacrifice or two before NOED is triggered, then yeah they might deserve that NOED. The person who either doesn't protect their gens well enough, on top of getting almost little to no hooks/sacrifices I would argue doesn't deserve that NOED.
I think if NOED worked on a token system it'd seem more fair. Maybe tied to gen protection or hooks/sacrifices.
People like to argue that totems are the game's second objective, but if the killer doesn't have NOED or a Hex totem there is literally no reason to do totems. They give you a little bit of extra BP and that's it. If the killer doesn't have NOED then you're basically wasting time for nothing, which is in the killer's favor, which is why survivors genrush. As others have said before if you make totems count towards emblems/pipping then more people would be willing to do them. Make them an actual second objective instead of an obligatory one. Give solos some sort of notification that other totems have been broken (doesn't need to be a totem counter, could just be sound or part of a perk, possibly a buff small game to include a totem counter or smth idk).
Otherwise yeah people are gonna keep complaining about NOED.
-
Please. Or idk implement occasional skillchecks you have to hit during struggle phase.
-
NOED is frustrating because unless you know every inch of every map and every potential totem spawn you're gonna waste more than the 20-80 secs cleansing time just looking for them. Manage to cleanse four totems, can't find the fifth, and whoop NOED pops, basically screwing whoever the killer manages to find first and potentially more if the gates aren't open yet or people go in for the risky business saves. Small game can help, keyword being can, maybe a Rainbow map or a Green with the add-on for finding killer's items or whatev. Otherwise you better hope you're playing SWF and happen to know or be lucky enough to run across all the totem spawns.
Like most things in this game I think RNG is a bigger factor than people realize.
Some people have suggested a totem counter or a noise when a dull is broken, maybe a buff to small game, I'd be down for any of those. Also for dulls counting towards emblems.
-
I think NOED being a hex perk with a token system (which yes would make it very similar to Devour possibly, depending on what one has to do to earn tokens) would make NOED overall feel less cheese to me.
I think your suggestion may be a bit too powerful, but it still being a Hex with lesser token requirements than you suggested could be a good compromise I think.
-
I disliked the new matchmaking, having to wait 1 min to queue as survivor was nice, until you had to dodge four lobbies in a row because of bad ping, or getting complete potato teammates or a killer far out of your league. Waiting 4-5 mins as killer was meh, but there was the chance that one or more survs would have bad ping and wouldn't dodge, you'd have to dodge, repeat ad nauseam.
Honestly, if they could find a happy medium between the two matchmaking systems that'd be great otherwise I'd rather potentially wait longer for people near my rank and decent ping.
-
My fave new bug is the constant crashes and 3 man games that keep happening cause someone can't load in.

I just don't understand why killers should lose a kill just because survivors want to crouch in front of them. Another reason I feel the game is totally survivor sided
If you're not smacking the body-blockers, it's your fault for giving them a "free escape."

True. if the devs were to do that, I would quit being altruistic, and like I said before, that is the equivalent of the killer having NOED all game and give them a noise notification when someone cleanse. Probably also gives off haunted grounds when cleansed, so that is completely unfair. Mori and a free sacrifice for trying to help your team? Nope nope nope.
If the devs were to do that I would just quit playing.

@ColgateAdvancedWhite said:
Hitting a survivor while having another survivor on your shoulders should instantly down that survivor and mori the one on your shoulders.
This game is too survivor sided. This will bring the balance closer to being fair
Please tell me that was sarcasm.
