  • I mean if they started addressing more of the issues that cause people to d/c maybe there would be less of them? Gamebreaking bugs, unfun mechanics, a huge and heavy snowball, bullshit RNG, really bad hit detection/hitboxes, horrible latency, framedrops and massive lag with some killers (doctor anyone?) or maps, certain killers causing migraines/eyestrain for players (doctor, clown), and more. Give players who can't play against Plague because they have severe emetophobia some sort of filter or alternate to her puking. Hell add a playback feature so a person can go back and look when something makes them go, "What the ######### was that?!" because not everyone has (or can have) a recording device on from the start to end of every match.

Yes some people still might d/c for petty reasons at times but, a happy playerbase usually leads to less disconnects overall I'd say.

  • A large portion of this community play to have fun, camping is (for the majority) not fun.

    1) It's not fun when your teammate is being camped and you can't do anything about it (and even worse if you're playing solo q because you might just get a team of lemmings who decide that they don't want to do gens, so better hope you can live long enough to get hatch, that is if you're not the next one getting camped)

    2) if you're the one being camped it's very very unfun (yes you can try to make it better possibly by trying to ensure you team escapes, that is if they aren't the aformentioned lemmings, but even then you get to get chased, get hooked, press spacebar/key of choice for struggle, then die, probably netting you very little points unless you're a god looper and managed to max out Boldness before they caught up to you)

    3) being the one DOING is camping is very unfun. Generally you're either doing it because the game is already going poorly for you and you're trying to secure at least ONE kill, you came into this game upset from another game and are trying to take out your frustration on the first available target (so you're already not having fun and have dragged 1-4 other people into it), or you came in with the intention to camp and make the game as unfun as possible for 1-4 other people.

    4) And then there's also the off cases where a killer camps until NOED kicks in and then goes on a fiesta, or a killer beings in an ebony and hooks, possibly camps, tunnels and moris them out of the game one by one, so again, very unfun, especially with queue times being as unreliable as they are

So yes, SOMETIMES you can genrush and 2-3 people will escape (that is if the killer doesn't have NOED, and it'll probably activate because who wants to take time to cleanse totems against a camping killer and increase the chances of him getting someone else?), but good luck on finding a team who'll do that in Solo q.

Camping can be a tactic a killer can use yes, as can slugging, but people have abused it to the point where it's become as hated as it has.

  • @sulaiman said:

Moris need to be common enough so you can use one every time you suspect you go against an swf. Since the game is not balanced around that, killers need a way to keep up. Moris are one of them.

    No.

  • I'm legit sad they removed Splinters from the bloowebs (the Iri Offerings that let you test run other killers with no perks), like why? It was a neat addition to the game, allowed you to see if you liked something before you bought it, and added more Ultra Rares to the game (which we honestly need more of).

Bring back splinters or add in a practice mode against bots that lets you try out any killer/survivor/perk in the game damnit.

Honestly though, I think dbd needs something big to shake it up, make the game feel fun and funky and new again.

  • This seems like a thread just made to say how much you like Slinger and how everybody needs to back off because they're wrong wrong wrong. Multiple times people have brought up why they feel huntress is more fun to verse than slinger, or how they feels she has more reasonable and reliable counter-play, but you constantly dismiss them, or bring up this false narrative that: "Everyone who hates him just wants him removed from the game and that's your only motives no ifs ands or buts!"

Just because a percentage of people don't like a killer you obviously love doesn't mean you have to take things so sensitively and seriously my guy. It's only a game. (Though honestly it would also help if you actually argued in good faith, but that's another problem entirely)

Play Slinger, have fun, push the little arrow next to the endgame chat so you don't have to see it, boom, problem solved.

The top is cute, but I wish they would have given her a matching skirt with it.

Same. Like I was hoping she'd get another cute outfit with a skirt. Instead. More pants.

I think I'd like the top better if the sleeves were a tad shorter and maybe slightly poofy? Like almost like a cap sleeve? Idk how accurate that is to actual Oktoberfest clothes, but I think it'd make me like it a bit better. Personal preference though and all that.

  • It's funny because pink add-ons/offerings are so ######### common it's insane, and yet green rarity (which is supposed to be more common than pink) barely ever shows up. ######### gives.

Like you find more Ebony Moris than Ivorys. How. HOW????

Gives us our BPS back devs, esp as you barely ever do double BP events anymore.

  • @Mushwin said:

What did they do to her design??? Unless they personally went to the artist and together they made changes? I know some of us wasn't fan of the thong, myself included, just because I just felt DBD didn't need to see women going around chewing cloth on this game lol. BUT. That been said if BHVR are going to choose someones design, please make it like the original design! It looks bad, I feel bad too for the artist, if BHVR messed with the design of mine that had won and they re changed it, I would request it be taken down. So yes some of us didn't like the thong, but heck if you are gonna choose someones design make it least look like it!

Like I know this isn't your point but, one question I ask myself is, what's so wrong with a thong to the devs yet hag's allowed to have titty out on her base skin? It's a weird choice imo. Titty I'd say is FAR worse than thong.

Like that's the only reason I could think to remove the thong, moral panic. And yet, the hag titty is allowed to stay. They have freaking jiggle physics on boobs, and yet a thong is apparently wrong to them. I am baffled.

(BTW it's perfectly fine that you don't like the thong, everyone likes different things, I'm not questioning you, but the dev's choices)

  • Honestly I was expecting it to be really bad. DBD does not have a good track record with sweatpants (see my girl Meg and her ugly alt default grey sweatpants).

The hair on the skin looks less "full" than the art, the color of it is red instead of magenta, also I think she really needs abs. No joke. This skin needs abs. Otherwise it looks weird. Also the sweatpants don't pool at the ankle which kinda ruins the vibe it was going for.

0/10 would not buy. At all.

  • They either need to do like other games with passes where you make progress on them even if you don't have that "Challenge" selected (take Fortnite, you can make progress on multiple challenges per game, here nope), or to let us select multiple Challenges at a time. This ######### is even grindier than Fortnite, and that's ######### saying something (not to mention Fortnite usually has a couple of sales at points allowing you to buy multiple tiers at a fraction of their cost, but DBD ain't that smart or generous).

Increase the rate we gain XP from matches, increase the amount of rift fragments per challenge, stop making it so the only challenges worth 5 fragments are the story ones. (Which are generally ass anyway, either too easy or way too ######### hard)

Hell give us some fragments every time we get to the end of a chain with the Archives eye on it. Make the dailies give us rift fragments as well as BP. Give us an offering to increase rift fragments. Anything.

No I could just play the quietest female survivor that both hide under windows and be less likely to be heard, and have room for 4 perks instead of 3.

I mean, good luck with that. The smaller they are the louder they usually are to compensate. Ace is like the exception. Kate is the quietest female survivor, but if she's injured and you have decent hearing you can still hear her.

  • @Shymare_11 said:

The point is there is no reasonable incentive to play a survivor in the late game after getting all their teachables, especially if they are loud as heck and can’t hide as well as other survivors.

Bring Iron Will. Also to your OP, no not at this state of the game. Early on in production or withing the first year of the game's life? Sure that could've worked, but we already have enough balancing nightmares. We don't need to add this on top of it.

  • @BillyBigBrainBoi said:

didn't you read the rule #9501 paragraph 89 where you're not supposed to loop the killer

Lol right? It's funny because people get mad all the time at the "Survivor Rulebook" but like the "killer rulebook" is: No looping of any kind, no hiding in lockers, No touching gens until the killer finds hits and hooks someone, no 99-ing the doors, no BT, no DS, no Unbreakable, no Soul Guard, no DH, no Adrenaline, no combining of any of those perks together WHATSOEVER, no dark cosmetics, no Stealth/Hiding, no Spine Chill, no toolboxes, no medkits, no flashlights, oh and no dropping pallets whatsoever. Oh and also no luck offerings, luck offerings are TOXIC. No kobe-ing of any kind. Also also you can't escape through the hatch as the last survivor, because muh 4k.

(There is no such thing as the "KIller Rulebook" btw, I'm just making one based off the things killers complain about the most)

  • Game lags when a hex totem is broken, when Noed activates, sometimes just cause. They removed MMR (because it sucked tbh) but not I'm getting freaking Yellow and White rank survs in my lobby when I'm purple, and they play like it too. Boosted SWF teammates. Flashlights are offcenter now (lists to the right), sounds are STILL broken, and hits are as wonky as ever.

    That's DBD.

  • All killers bring able to crouch. Are they friend or foe? Who knows!

  • Sounds are always ######### up tbh, but I've heard it's pretty bad in the ptb. Expect it to be patched at some point and reappear a patch or two later. DBD y'all.

  • The game is "broken" because there are some players that are so optimal they can stomp really easily. (No this game is broken because of how many game breaking bugs it has, but sure, this is why the game is broken) But how many hours did they train to get to this level of efficiency, how many times did they have to play each map in order to learn all the tiles and how to run them? How long did they play with each other to get to this level of coordination?

This isn't every 4 man SWF, hell this isn't even every SWF. This is something that'll happen once in a blue moon. Really good tourney squads probably make up so little of the playerbase that the stars would have to align for you to go against them. And if you do play against them does that mean you're going to have to play as efficiently as possible with little to no mistakes to win? Yes. That's what happens when a good team gets together and has played together long enough to probably know every move the other players in their squad are going to make.

Would I ever want to go against one of these squads? Hell no, I know I would get hard stomped. But the chances of me running into one of these Tourney squads is so little that I'm honestly not fussed about it in the slightest. They're an aberration, not the norm. Stop acting like they are.

We've known their PR department was ass for years.

One of the most recent best examples of that was how they explained the ruin nerf, and the Doctor rework earlier this year. Sure they turned out great, but there's no way they looked at how the patch notes for each were worded and thought "nobody will hate this".

    "Just go play Civ 5!"

  • I think they've said in the past they didn't want to add colorblind mode because people might be able to use it for an unfair advantage or some other crock of #########. Which I totally don't agree with btw, even if it DID give people and advantage it still needs to be ######### added. (As well as an option to turn off V-Sync imo, which isn't accessibility, but does help some people's computers not turn into a blazing fireball)

I'd imagine they are probably trying to implement a way to put charms in the store as well before they do this.

I just get super frustrated because like, why do they have to be radio silent on almost everything? Why can't they just come out and say that if that's the case?

Hell even just a: "Don't worry, we still remember the old Rift cosmetics and they will be added to the store! We didn't forget we swear!"

Their PR sucks utter balls man.

  • @EuphoricBliss35 said:

comparing bhvr to other companies means nothing. It’s like comparing your current significant other to your friends.

BHVR gets some things right with dbd. EGC is a nice feature that prevented keeping games hostage. Being able to close the hatch removed hatch standoffs. Some of these changes take much longer than you’d expect, but, they eventually come.

On the other hand, there is a consistent pattern of bugs that go unaddressed, player concerns that are dismissed, changes that negatively impact the community, etc. It’s not a one off, out of character behavior. That becomes increasingly frustrating for players over time. Compassion is going to steadily decrease, and anger and resentment grows.

Like right now. The “MMR” system. Radio silence. What a responsible company would do is immediately address the issue in the open. “We made a mistake in our algorithm, we had a backup plan in place in case there were any issues and have turned off the system until further testing can be done. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused, but your experience is of utmost importance to us”

Instead, we get one person on the forums that says play 20 games buried in a thread and another that says play 10, buried in another thread.

It is 100% valid to be angry. Of course people could express that in more mature ways, but the emotion is completely valid. Don’t forget that

The thing I hate the most is, most of these changes they implemented (way way too late into their game cycle btw imho) are things the community has been saying FROM THE BEGINNING we needed. Like people wanted EGC or something like it for ages so the game could quit being held hostage, but it took them forever to implement. People wanted a way to end hatch standoffs for AGES, but it took them forever to implement it. It took them forever to fix infinites, forever to address actual legit facecamping (when you literally couldn't unhook someone and the killer could just stare into that person's soul until they died), and probably more. Like yeah they eventually did all those things, but it took so long to do them the damage and resentment had already been done.

Not to mention the return of bugs that they've "fixed" multiple times, all the game breaking bugs that someone HAS to d/c for or the match just won't end. It's hard to have trust in BHVR anymore, very hard, Esp with them being mostly radio silent on EVERYTHING.

Like I know that basically what you already said, but like, to me the most frustrating thing about all that was they didn't address the problems until the community got into such huge uproars that they probably would've massively lost playerbase otherwise. Which is...not the way to ensure the longtime health of a game.

They really really REALLY need a better PR team, and a team to redo their code from the ground up. I think that's the only way they could actually legit fix things now.

But it's okay because you can buy the cosmetics eventually! Except for the fact that the first battlepass ended over 7 months ago and you still can't buy the items nor are there news when that will become possible.

Seriously, I'd love an ETA on this.

  • @Kees_T said:

I just hope that some of them will not show up on the Store. It's cool to have a skin that no one can get anymore, you can kinda flex it and show that you played before the X time.

I hope they all show up, we do not need any more exclusivity bs.

  • Yeah you're right. 6 months after it ends, but that means the first one should have already come to the shop, or should soon. An ETA would be nice. The first rift ended in December, it's already been about 7-8 months. :/

  • @dizbruhlikesthering said:

As far as i know, it is only the community outfits that will be available in the store, ’demonslayer’ for feng and another outfit for david and these were said to release in the store minimum 6 months after their initial release. All other outfits will remain exclusive to the rift and are not coming back, i believe.

"Most rewards will be exclusively available via The Archives for a period of time and released into the Store at least 6 months after their Rift has ended. More information will be provided at a later date."

During our 3rd Anniversary stream last May, we have revealed a brand-new feature coming this fall – The Archives. With a couple of weeks await from the official launch of this feature, we are happy to present it to players in this news.

According to this they're supposed to come to the store. They don't say anything about if charms will be available via the store, but if it's a store release it must be outfits at least.

tell me how object is fair, tell me how soul guard, unbreakble, ds is fair, tell me how hiding in a lockers fair, tell me how dead hards fair, tell me how adrenaline fair

Are...are you seriously complaining about LOCKERS? Lockers. Lockers. I- how. You can bait the dead hard, you can slug the DS user, Object isn't really fair but if it's not SWF (and not Midwich) you can possibly use it to your advantage, you can hear people moaning or breathing in lockers, Adrenaline is fair because they had to do all the gens for it to proc, it can feel super bad if you're chasing or have recently downed someone when it procs, but that's how it is sometimes.

As for Soul Guard, idk, don't let them heal or get healed? It's not really a problem by itself, when paired with DS, Unbreakable or both, yeah sure. Otherwise it's just a perk that may save your butt sometimes.

Honestly i didn't find it that difficult to adapt to the new positioning

Idk honestly, I can't use flashlights worth #########, so it doesn't affect me lol. But I think it's more the principle of the thing? Why should players have to adapt to either a change to a mechanic they didn't tell us about, or a bug that shouldn't have even happened? If it is a bug people are gonna have to readjust all over again when they "fix" it (if they fix it). It's not a huge thing, but it's something that shouldn't have even been a problem. Y'know?

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    Damn flashlights aren't working?

Guess I must be hacking to have used em fine then :/

Lol. But seriously though, they are currently "broken" in the sense that they list more to the right than they used to. Meaning if you had the flashlight aiming down before now you have to relearn it all over again.

    https://youtu.be/_cS4fft6jkQ?t=236

(Should already start from there, but about 3:56-ish if not)

If it's intended they should've said that, if it's not some acknowledgement that they at least know of the problem would be nice.

You don't, the Yellow mori is still completely worthless though. The odds that if you down the last remaining survivor in the match that you won't kill them by either hooking or slugging them is remote. If it also required you to have previously hooked that person it would make a worthless add-on even worse.

Oh no, I know that. Yellow Moris are weak AF, I even told OP they'd be better bringing a Green. I was just worried my knowledge of Yellow Moris was fake lol.

If they dc, they dc... I throw in the shroud of separation just to mess with the survivors and I get mori dc's... and laugh when they find out it was a shroud and they wasted their blood points. so just go with the flow, it is what it is unfortunately... personally I don't care if you mori me at all if I'm caught, i'm caught it's all the same I love moris, and enjoy watching them!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1528941#Comment_1528941

you left out the most important part of the yellow mori.... you still MUST have hooked that survivor. that is still part of it.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to hook them? Could be wrong though. Like even the wiki just says: Grants the ability to kill the last remaining Survivor by your hand during the next Trial.

    Nothing about hooking.

  • Honestly though, to be a bit off topic, they NEED to add more offerings to this game, and make some of them secret OR they need to remove the ability for offerings to be secret at all. Like there's literally only like...5-6 secret offerings? Moris and shrouds, which means EVERYONE knows what's secret. It's dumb.

No one pretty much EVER brings shrouds, the only useful one for Surv is the one to start as far away from the killer as possible, the one for starting together is theoretically good, you can maybe bang out 1-2 gens really fast, but the smart way is really to get on as many separate gens as possible. The killer offering for all Surivors starting separate actually kind of ######### you over, as if can allow the survivors to be as efficient as possible if they all manage to get on a separate gen, and there's very little earl game chance of catching out two or more survivors at once.

I've heard some people argue that the shroud offerings (barring the one for a Surv starting as far from the killer as possible) for Killer and Surv should actually be switched, and I somewhat agree with them.

  • @Talmeer said:

I understand tunneling killers with moris.

It is a long time ago since I have read the mori descriptions, but was it not so, that some only work after a unhook, by the person they have hook before?

If so, I totally understand this behavior, because it literally forces them to act like this, if they want to use it.

Mhm, would I play regulary dbd now, I would choose some of the other secret offerings, just to set the heartbeat of the survivors a bit up before they later see that it wasen't a mori xD.

As long as a Survivor has been hooked once at all during the game, and you have a Green or Red Mori, you can mori them. It doesn't matter if you've hooked someone in-between, Say you hook Survivor 1, Hook Survivor 2 and 3, you can still Mori Survivor 1 at ANY time (except if you third hook them, because obviously then they're dead lol). You can Mori a person after 1 hook, or 2 hooks. But you don't have to Mori someone STRAIGHT after you hook them. Whether that be first or second hook.

If you want to Mori someone you can't 3 hook them, but you can Mori them anytime with a Green or Red Mori as long as they have been hooked ANYTIME during the match.

The Yellow Mori is a bit different as it just means you can Mori the last survivor, even if they haven't been hooked all game.

Agreed. And as for the roar I'm pretty sure it's because of the stealth addons, with their current theme of "stealth is fine if the survivors are informed about it happening first" i.e. trail of torment

But that...completely ruins stealth. That's the OPPOSITE of stealth. That'd be like if Urban Evasion made a crunching noise for every step you made with it. Like you're stealth, but the killer knows about it, so it's okay! You're using Lightweight and he can't see your scratches, but he can see your Aura, stealth! You're using Quick and Quiet, but the killer gets free Stridor for it, STEALTH!

Idek what they're thinking anymore, like they don't let the playerbase know when they know about gamebreaking bugs or an ETA for fixes, in a public announcement or anything. They push things from PTB to Live anyway, even if it's supremely broken or flawed. They occasionally released things without even letting the playerbase know about it, like Flashlights are broken right now possibly because they tried to fix the Teabag while pointing, but instead this somehow managed to break flashlights? How, why? Why did you try to "fix" this without telling anyone? Why prioritize this over other actual bugs? No bug fixes or changes should EVER go through without some notification to the playerbase. Even if it's as "simple" as a POV change, or a slight tweak to numbers, your playerbase should still know.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/181159/camping-because-you-stacked-luck-offering-sorry-i-m-not-dumb

All this "respect the 4%" is just a made up rule people try to force others to follow.

I just had a match last night were I was 1 of 2 remaining survivors. I was on the hook and realized the last survivor was in a chase. I attempted an escape and got it. As soon as the killer hooked the other survivor (death hook) the hatch appeared in front of me. I waited at that hatch for the killer to come find me, let him down me and did not struggle as he took me to the hook. Because for me (just my own personal feelings) a random 4% chance to screw a killer out of a kill, just didn't seem fair.

Okay, that's you though? You weren't screwing him out of anything? It's a very rare chance of happening, especially under those circumstances. Do you know how rare it is to get to endgame without being hooked once, and managing to kobe with the hatch right near by? It's was an insane amount of RNG luck, if he was really that worried about his 4k he could've waited to see if you kobied, downed you and hooked you again and then gone after the fourth person. Like no the killer doesn't have to respect it, but he should've known it was a possibility based off it being your first hook, he obviously wasn't worried about it, why were you?

If he had slugged you then went to find the last person would you have felt the same way? You still woulda been close enough to possibly crawl out and escape through hatch when the other person died. Would you have done the same thing?

It sounds like he dominated that match anyway if the hatch appeared in front of you, aka your team didn't have enough gens done anyway for it to have already appeared. So why the pity? It's his own fault for not securing the 4k.

  • You're facecamping them because they have a higher chance to kobe than usual, oh no. Maybe they just wanted the achievement for unhooking yourself 100 times, maybe they were just goofing around and brought the Unbreakable/DS as insurance in case the killer decided to be an asshat (which, you proved them right so, I guess the insurance was needed). Sometimes you just want to kobe, cuz it's fun and it doesn't happen often, but most killers get up in arms, "I don't have to respect your 4%" and get toxic as hell about it. (No, you don't have to respect the 4%, but that also doesn't mean you gotta be an ######### about it)

If they all had the same build I'm not too sure they were overly worried about escaping, or even gen rushing, as everyone keeps trying to justify. They probably just wanted to have a higher chance to kobe, which even with stacked purple luck and slippery meat isn't a 100% Guarantee. But yes, I'm sure the peeps who all brought Slippery Meat were going for the win. You can just feel it in your bones.

Do you know how long it took to unhook myself 100 times while stacking luck and bringing Slippery Meat? A hell of a long time and a LOT of games, because you don't kobe every game with that build, you just don't. It's not a guaranteed free self-unhook like Deliverance.

Like seriously. Facecamping over luck offerings and Slippery Meat. How low can you go?

They want overheating to happen. People didn't like it, said it was unnecessary and unfun, but they've already put effort into making it so it's gonna happen anyway. See also: the stupid roar. They've already recorded it, so into the game it goes.

I don't know why certain game devs do this, they know a thing doesn't work or people are displeased about it/think it's dumb af (Billy's roar for example, I find it hilarious but dumb, but the fact that it goes off even during Stealth add-ons/tinkerer, aka completely ruining the stealth you're going for, is...asinine) but they put in anyway because...we already did the work and we don;t want to admit it doesn't fit with the game we're trying to make or is extremely bad/flawed, so here you go anyway!

Like they may make little tweaks to try to make it look like they're listening, but they've already determined in it goes (even though a PTB is supposed to realistically be about testing things to see if they're fit to go in or even fit with that game at all, not to mention finding bugs and testing bug fixes) but instead the PTB is usually: "Look at this thing we're going to immediately add as soon as the PTB is over and if it doesn't work right attempt to hotfix later"

Like it's not even just BHVR that does this, LoL does it a hell of a lot. To the point one of their patches was the buggiest patch in all of LoL history (which is frankly, saying something) (should start from the patch I'm talking about, if not go to about 16:51)

    https://youtu.be/x6w34cZS7fs?t=1012

Like, what's the point of having a place where players can test things out if you're just going to implement them when you originally planned to anyway?

The biggest thing LoL and DBD have in common though is their absolute spaghetti code and loads of bugs, plus their determination to release things exactly on time even when they really really SHOULDN'T, and that's really really sad.

Well if they ever Balance Ebony and Ivory Moris then the loading screen “crashes” will stop.

Doesn’t help the fact that people who bring aforementioned offerings tend to play extremely toxic as well.

Like you gotta love the insta tunnel off first hook moris the most. /s

  • No one knows, because devs have decided they're not going to tell us our MMR or how to raise or lower it.

  • No, we've seen what happens when they implement big changes years into the game's life (the new MMR), if this had been the way the game had been from the beginning? Sure, interesting idea and concept. But now? Four years into the game's lifespan? No. If they ever make a DBD 2 this would possibly be a fun shakeup to the game.

But not now. You don't completely change the way a game work years into it's lifecycle without losing a LOT of the playerbase in the process. could it bounce back? Maybe? Would the old survivor playerbase who left come back? I sincerely doubt it.

Also as someone else said if you're going to restrict survivor perks in this way killer has to go the same route. How fair would it be if Laurie could only run her three base perks but killer could run whatever they wanted? Not very fair at all.

I'm gonna have to give this one a big no chief.

I will admit I was fully expecting this to be one of those pervy threads, but nah. They have a point. The black shorts looks really odd. At least make them white.

That or make em look idk accurate to the theme. Like, she's wearing boyshorts with a peplos? It's just weird and it looks weird lol. Like they can make spirit wear a sarashi, but Jane's gotta wear boyshorts under that outfit. I don't understand (besides laziness).

  • I mean, even if they didn't d/c the chances you're going to get to use a yellow Mori? Slim to none. The stars have to align for you to be able to use that baby, you'd be better off bringing a green.

I think you're missing the point that small game removes several strong killer perks, and you're complaining that they're not easier to remove.

Yes, based on you not memorizing totem spawns, not liking dlcs perks, and not running the meta, I would say you're a casual survivor. Unfortunately, the top survivor meta is incredibly strong right now, more nerfs to killer is a bad idea.

I mean, not really? If it were that strong everyone would be running it and it would be meta, but it's not. If it were that good Hex totems would never even have a CHANCE to proc, because everyone would be running Small Game, but almost no one runs it, and not because it's not meta but because it's just not that good. It's quite like its' other Meh perk brethren. Dark Sense sounds like a good perk in theory, but why run that when you could run Empathy or Kindred or any better Aura perk (or hell even OoO)? Why run No One Left Behind when you can run We'll Make It or WGLF for BP bonus? Most early filler perks don't give enough bang for their buck to actually be useful enough to bring.

And Small Game still doesn't solve the Solo Q problem of not knowing who else is doing bones (if anyone), or having to rely entirely on yourself to (hopefully) negate a perk that may or may not exist while hoping all along that your teammates aren't complete potatoes.

Honestly if they added a totem counter, or even just changed what NOED procced off of (make it more similar to Devour Hope) then I think less people would complain about it overall.

  • He's a special boy and I love him.

(Did they ever rework totem spawns on older maps? Based on this I wanna say no)

  • @Ghoste said:

I just wanna say that without the existence of NOED, Survivors would never cleanse dull totems again. Gens are done extremely fast nowadays, and they'd be done even faster if NOED was not a possible threat. It is the only thing keeping dull totems as a "secondary objective."

They could make totems an actual meaningful second objective, that'd help. It's not survivors fault that devs only made like maybe 2-3 perks with anything at all to do with dull totems, and one "punishes" (not a super bad punishment) you for cleansing them (that Deathslinger perk). Like the only perk on Survivor side that makes you wanna cleanse dulls not just for the prevention of NOED is Inner Strength. If they put more things like Inner Strength in the game, survivors would feel more inclined to cleanse dulls. Or even if the gave like some small little reward or boost, temporary haste, a slight luck increase, a temporary boost to healing, idk something.

Like the devs put dulls in the game and seemingly forgot about them, except for being a receptacle for Hex perks. And that's a damn shame.

That or maybe they made it if dulls aren't cleansed then they become a mini hex of some sort (Mini Ruin, Mini Third Seal, Mini Devour Hope). Raising the incentive to cleanse them. Like they do the same thing as the big hexes but only for a short period or smth.

You're actually complaining that you have to look in a small cone and that it reveals the power of two obscure killers? The entitlement is real. I ran that perk for my archive, there was only one totem that was difficult to find, and even then it only took me 30 seconds.

This game is pay to win, or wait for it to come up on the shrine.

Maps are so not rare. Run plunderers instinct, you will get a pink map every game.

You see noed as a crutch perk that rewards bad gameplay, I see it as genrush insurance and a big f you to attempted body blockers.

What is your go to perk set? I get the feeling its chock full of crutch perks.

No I'm complaining that it's not the easy "fix" everyone claims it to be. It's not affected by floors. So it can proc if there's a totem above or below you. Totally not confusing or misleading at all. I'm complaining that it is a garbage perk and THAT'S why no one ever runs it.

Let's see: I don't run DS, I don't run Dead Hard, I don't run OoO, I don't run BT often, I do run Adrenaline sometimes, I do run Iron will sometimes if I have it on whichev survivor I'm playing, I've only used Head On a number of times, I barely ever run Quick and Quiet, I run Sprint Burst a lot cuz I'm boosted without it and I can admit it, sometimes I run Empathy or Bond, I barely ever run Balanced Landing, I barely ever run Unbreakable, I barely ever run Spine Chill, I almost never run Self Care anymore unless there's a challenge for it, sometime I run Prove Thyself, Or Leader, never use Lithe, have barely EVER used Hope, don't really run Kindred as I don't have it on many Survs.

Do I pass your little test? I run maybe...2 "crutch perks" for surv. One which like NOED requires all gens to be done, and one that prevents me from hearing whoever I'm playing moaning all game. Oh and Sprint Burst. So maybe 1-3. Depending on what you consider crutch for Survivor and which survivor I'm playing. Which based off your bias I'm going to guess is: any perk a survivor runs.

I've never run the Small PP build. Or the Micro PP build.

Not that I really need to prove anything to you, dude who admits he runs NoeD because he can't pressure gens. Lol. Or because the bad mean survivors try to bodyblock for their teammates. Oh no. It's not like you can just M1 them or anything. Like if Noed procs you literally failed at one of your objectives as killer, preventing the survivors from completing gens.

Oh yes, Maps aren't rare, just run a perk to get one (maybe, if RNGesus is on your side), EZ. I used to run Plunder's a lot, you're not guaranteed a map every game, you're not even guaranteed anything GOOD every game. But nice try.

@RoMainPuppy haha that is too funny, the hair difference is horrendous! Don't get me wrong I do like Feng's hair though even though it is really stiff, but I agree with you the design team had one job and it was done poorly :(

The Oni for it's price should have definitely have had a different glow and different animations and such, what could have been so difficult to work a little harder on the pieces

Oh yeah, it is fairly stiff, I'm just glad it's not like made of so many short strands like some of the older bun and ponytail hairstyles. Like it looks like the length is fairly even throughout, I appreciate that. Like it looks like a long thick ponytail, not someone failing at putting hair extensions in properly lol.

Like I like the Oni skin, I think it's his best skin so far, but I feel the trailer was super SUUUUUPER misleading. For all the skins. Also what's their deal with never wanting to reskin M2 weapons?

  • I doubt it, and if they did I'm afraid it'd look super weird like when they added the RWBY chars to Smite. *shudders*

  • @claudetterealness said:

@Mushwin it's so rude, expecting people to pay for the skins but they don't look like they do as advertised and look lower quality in-game

Feng's new hair and Yui's is very similar too & Jane's dress just looks really dirty and dark in game and you can't even notice the glitter on the face which is shown in the trailer !

I quite like Feng's new hair, but to each their own. I think it looks fairly similar to the trailer, which I was surprised about. Not like Meg's hair that came with her Furious Vandal outfit. The New Content image made it look super cute, meanwhile it's a raggedy mess in-game.

    image.png

    Meanwhile in game:

    image.png

Honestly tho. These new batch of skins I feel like I've been...lied to a bit about? Y'know? Like Oni's skin looks like it had more of a fiery red-orange glow when in Blood Fury mode instead of the standard red (which looked really really cool and I'm sad it's just red), Clown had Red hair in the trailer (and the New Content image too, #########???) but Grey in-game, Jane had blonde hair (it's kind of a dirty blonde to light brown now imo), Spirit didn't look like someone smeared mud all over her face and her hair looked fuller and longer. Like. It's weird. It's just weird.
