It says you SHOULD aim to do it. But I don't think it's a requirement. At least I hope not. My question is when do we get the rewards.

Yeaaaaaa. I'm going to call BS on "almost every killer"
But sure. That still doesn't make the changes "need to come sooner l"
I literally just loaded up the game and the first 2 games I've played so far I got tunneled out. Call BS all you want, but they aren't wrong lol.

You shouldn't balance the game around being unfun
yes

I get upset when you rub your ass on my face to show me you have ds, bodyblock me or go in a locker to trigger it, yes
Its an anti tunnel perk, not a "im invincible, chase me baby killer". When people do this, i gladly tunnel them since thats they want
Otherwise, im fine and usually respect it when you run away
We still complaining about the locker thing? Lol. Ah, yes of course killers! I will gladly stand out in the open for you to slug me! Yeah, no. I'm gonna jump in the locker and if you wanna stand in front of it for 60 seconds that's your loss lol. Bonus points for me if I have Inner Strength and Head On.

This just seems so... Pointless. DS is very nearly in a perfect spot- have it activate on both hook states, but no longer activate after all 5 gens are completed, and imho it would be perfect. Why are we so insistent on changing things that don't need changing?
This would be perfect imo.
-
Ah, yes. I love running a perk that the killer can completely shut down with a mini game AND get rewarded extra BP for...
Like is this a joke...?
"If BOTH sides lose the KILLER automatically wins." Like I don't whether to laugh or cry.
DS is perfect as is. A punishment for killers tunneling a survivor who just got off hook. This just seems like "Okay so how do we make so DS can be a good thing for the killers." Just- no. No.
-
"There needs to be a punishment for bodyblocking."
Meanwhile Mettle of Man, Breakout, We're Gonna Live Forever...
There are literally perks that encourage bodyblocking, I mean.

I’d definitely say they went too far. Sure he’s faster now by default but his chase power is worse than addon reliant wraith. Which is just absurd.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2975351#Comment_2975351
I don’t mean any offense but I’ve never understood the “he wasn’t fun” argument. At least in regards to this. Saying he’s unfun implies they changed something about him to make him more fun. They didn’t, they just made him weaker and easier to beat. That’s not how you address something that players find “unfun”
He was "unfun" because there was almost nothing you could do against him. If you got caught in an area without a pallet you were basically dead and even WITH a pallet his lunge would hit you through it before you could even drop it. He did nothing but hit and run and even with Spine Chill + Sprint Burst there wasn't anything you could really do. On top of him basically being hug tech blight BEFORE hug tech blight and swinging around every loop. Yeah, he was "unfun."
They made him more fun by nerfing him, making him less miserable to play against. Sorry to the Wraith mains ig.
-
He was extremely unfun to go against. On top of the fact that whenever there's a better killer, EVERYONE and their mother latches onto them. Spirit, Freddy, Wraith, Blight, Legion. It's insane.

Imagine believing that any instance of SBMM was ever good. They just need to revert back to the old ranked/emblem system.
Definitely not. That system was just as bad, if not worse. At least now the chances of me getting matched with ppl closer to my skill level are higher.
With the old rank system you had to get lucky. Not to mention how GOD AWFUL and sweaty the games would always be during resets. So you'd be stuck with baby survivors but an extremely sweaty bronze killer who's trying to get back up to red rank 1.
No. Thank. You. Hard pass. I'll take SBMM everyday of the week.

BHVR please give us a downvote option PLEASE.

I feel bad for survivors who get hooked and then the killer stands there smacking them. Or survivors who get face camped by bubbas. Or slugged to death.
-
Nope. This is happening to me as well actually. It doesn't happen when I play survivor. But when I'm playing killer, occasionally the game will crash and it'll say disconnected from host. And I know for a fact I'm not at high MMR. But it's the exact same thing as what's happened to you. At this point I'm kinda convinced it's a DBD issue and not my internet. Because this has never happened to me before when I had played killer.

I was going to play some games tonight and I'd love to add some data to your pool if that's okay. Can you be very specific on what you count as tunneling and camping? I'd like to make sure the criteria is identical for consistency.
Tunneling for me is going directly after someone who JUST got off hook. If a survivor is able to do something that would disable their Decisive Strike, I don't consider that tunneling on the killers part.
In Game 3, I had gotten unhooked and immediately ran across the map. There were 2 people on the gen and the Huntress was coming our way. I got on the gen and helped them finish it, then the Huntress came around, found me, then hooked me. I had only been off hook for like 20-30 seconds or so. But I helped finish a gen. So I wouldn't count that as a tunnel.
So if a surv is able to heal, cleanse or boon totems, do a gen, etc. Then it's not tunneling imo. Cause that implies they had the time to get back into the game and play it / get points.
I consider it camping when the killer stays within like 16 meters of a hooked survivor at all times. If you can see them on Kindred then I consider it camping / proxy camping unless they're chasing a survivor who is around the hooked player.
@Iron_Cutlass said:
Killers need an incentive to force them to not camp and tunnel, typically, BBQ does this most of the time, at least until they get all stacks, I think the game should reward more post-game BP for those who dont tunnel, or more BP for the survivors that do get tunneled that way they dont lose out on a bunch of BP from it.
I always see suggestions that promote punishing the killer to camp and tunnel, I mean, DS is in the game, it isnt stopping anything really, punishing killers for playing the game is not only going to not affect the way people play, but harm the experience of those who accidently tunnel or camp without realizing they are. Punishing is a double-edged sword, rewarding isnt when done right.
This is a really good point. Built it BBQ would be great for this I think.
-
In my short time playing killer I've gotten so many hits through vaults that I feel just...SHOULDN'T have hit lol. Like it was by a hair that I managed to connect it.

Terrible tier list. Haddie, David, Jeff, and Jane in Garbage tier?? And Mikaela in Best? How do we downvote posts.

After the controversy surrounding Jeepers Creepers I don't think we're getting that as a killer.

i think its more they jump to the new thing thats getting hype they already stuck there claim in dbd time to product place in other games
Possible, but if the demand is there why not keep it going. Fans are happy, BHVR and Netflix make money, everyone wins. I wonder how well a petition to have Stranger Things brought back would do with new content.
-
@Obelt said:
I think its more ST wants nothing to do with dbd anymore
I really wonder why.
It's not like they aren't collaborating with other games. Rumor has it Eleven is gonna show up in that free to play MultiVersus game. Then there was that Far Cry collab. I really wonder what it was that made Netflix cut ties with BHVR or if it was the other way around...cuz surely the Stranger Things chapter and skins sold very well.
-
Stranger Things: Chapter Two is on my wishlist now.
Killer: Vecna
Survivors: Robin and Hopper
Legendary Skins: Joyce, Eddie, and maybe an aged up Eleven, Mike, Will, Lucas, Max, and Dustin.
Skins: Episode 6 Steve skin is a must have. I need it. I need it more than oxygen.
Map: Starcourt Mall.
After how good season 4 is, I NEED more Stranger Things in DBD. As soon as they announced the chapter was leaving I bought all the skins (even for Demo who I don't play.) and I can't imagine the money BHVR would rake in if they brought it back somehow.

You should be able to speed up the timer if you have been on the ground for 60 seconds or longer imo.
THIS. If I'm on the ground long enough to get crows, it should automatically pop up with a bleed out button so I can concede and move on. I would honestly argue that this is a form of holding a player hostage. I genuinely hope this is something they address this year.

iI think the only difference from now on is that the teachable perks will be influenced by the prestige of the characters. for example: if you have P2 David, Dead Hard will already come out tier 2 in the bloodweb of the other survivors. if you have P3 it will come out in the other bloodwebs as tier 3
Nope. If you get David to Prestige 3, Dead Hard will show up in every character's INVENTORY at tier 3. Same goes for Prestige 1 or 2 with tiers 1 and 2. The perks will already be unlocked and able to be equipped. This goes for all teachables.
If you prestige every character to 3, the only perks you'll need to unlock on new characters are the base perks. "Kindred, Spine Chill, etc"

Sometimes they don't get the memo and just DC when you hook them for the second time, lol
Yeah I've had ppl DC or give up on hook cuz I've hooked everyone twice at 3-4 gens. Big sad.
Cause they assume I'm just a sweaty killer, but in reality I am chill and am just a fiend for BP.
-
Nope. The survivors I go against are usually always open to farm, but if they aren't I just play as normal, 2 hook them then go about my day. And killers are usually too busy sweating their balls off to farm so I never get those kinds of games as survivor.
-
Because these people are extremely miserable. I gave up trying to play survivor because the killer's are just insanely boring to go against.
Then as soon as a switch to killer, I get a 4-man swf that farms with me and is super dorky and fun. Farming as killer it is.

Update: 3rd time actually was the charm. All it took was a very bad Wraith and a good TTV to carry me. Still absolutely hate my luck that 2 out of 3 of those games were Wraiths. Good luck to everyone else.
-
2 games in trying to do this no mither challenge and killer's aren't letting up at all lmao. Just had a Wraith hook me then smack me over and over again. You forget how miserable killers can be. I honestly think my best bet is hoping I get a killer that's either AFK or farming.

Here is a problem I see at least from my game experience. How are you even able to 2 hook everyone, just for curiosity what is your killer and the build you use?
I play Doctor with Thrill of the Hunt, Distressing, BBQ, and Whispers. I rarely play killer so I imagine my MMR isn't that high and i never kill people unless I need to do it for a tome challenge.
-
I don't even bother as survivor. Why would I sweat to get 50k BP when I can 2 hook everyone as killer and get almost 100k.
-
Trying to max out your gains as survivor is pointless. Just brought a BPS, didn't get hooked until the very end, did gens, healed, totems, glyphs. Only got 59k BP. I can "farm" as killer in Low MMR. (basically play normally and double hook everyone then let them escape.) and get twice that.
-
@Yankus said:
Only 5 percent of killers use noed at higher mmr so if you are at the lowest possible mmr
I get plenty of NOED users and ik for a fact I'm not at the "lowest possible" MMR lmao. NOED is a free perk on every killer that gets you free downs why do y'all act like nobody's using it lmao

Yeah, most likely. Again I don’t trust farming killers.
Maybe play the game? I’m not interested in farming matches. They are a long drawn out borefest mixed with possibility of a killer pulling a twist for duh memes.
I prefer farming during a bloodhunt over sweaty actual matches tbh. This way I can have fun and get BP. Instead of getting less BP and having an unfun, sweat filled game.

Well I'm gonna need you to start because I need BP.
-
My first game of the Blood Hunt and I'm farming as Doctor. Do the usual to let the survivors know I'm just playing chill and farming. Some don't get it or don't care which is fine. I hook them for my BBQ stacks and let them go. Open my messages and it's "Thanks for the bp gay noob" lmfao. And I'm very serious. Eh, it is what it is.

Nah, Circle of Healing is objectively better. Self Care is just more reliable.
Not at all imo.
In a swf, sure. Cause maybe you can coordinate it better. But in solo, self-care. That time you spent to find and bless a totem, you would've already self-cared and got back on a gen. You don't have to constantly run back to the boon area either. You get to a safe spot you can immediately self-care. COH requires you go out of your way to use it too much.
COH = Better for SWF.
Self-Care = Better for Solo. Because you can't rely on your team and you just can't risk wasting the time that COH requires in order to get use out of it.
-You have to find a dull totem
-Take 14 seconds to bless it (38 if it's a hex. And even longer for both if Thrill of the Hunt is up.)
-21 seconds to heal
-Repeat if the killer stomps it. (80% of the time survivors will just constantly rebless and never get on a gen.)
-You get injured you have to run BACK to the boon area.
This also isn't taking into account the new boon stomping perk that was in the PTB. So then you've gotta hunt down a NEW totem. (As well as hope other survs aren't destroying totems for Inner Strength or the new Haddie perk.)
All of that is time you just can't waste in solo q imo.
Maybe when those solo q changes come I can see boons being used more efficiently tho but rn I'm not convinced. With old COH before the nerfs, yeah it was a god send for solo queue. But now I just don't see it.
-
@Dead_Harder said:

Isnt safe care something like 30 and Coh around 21? Oh are you adding the time to boon a dull? In any case glad to see less Cohs for whatever reason lol
Pretty sure COH got nerfed to 50% which is the same as Self Care. On top of the time it takes to find and bless a totem, self-care is just a better option. Especially in solo.
-
@Sepex said:
I can imagine the grind is brutal 😋
Not as bad as I thought, but that's thanks to the old tome killer challenges.
-
Since posting this I've gotten 2 more survivors to P3! So that's 12/30 survivors. And I got Feng to Prestige 2. Gonna get Feng, Kate, and Felix to P3 next since they're my last P2s
-
A lot of people switched from Boons back to self-care since they nerfed the healing speed. Most players are solo queue and, like myself, only cared about COH for the speed. Now that it's literally just self-care, we can run that and it's arguably better in most situations lol.
Also new players use it a lot.
It's not the same code as COH cuz on the graph they released COH and Self-Care had separate numbers.
