What costumes did they do this with Joey?! That's wild. Also still doesn't explain the Julie with a wig thing. Seems like a bit of a mess. Probably why they keep having issues with the wrong voices being on skins
The game expo one. The skin wasn't very visible with the full set, but with mixing and matching you could see the neck and it was white iirc.
It's fixed now, though.
-
I guess it's because Frank is the base Legion model and they forget to change it.
It's not just limited to Susie, they've turned Joey white like 2 times at least already.
-
Yeah, the buffer combined with the increased FOV makes it easier to flashlight save than ever.
It feels like it's harder to miss a beamer save as long as you have an angle than to hit one these days.
-
Gonna miss seeing him on the forums tbh
Goodbye to a real one and good luck in your new position o7
-
Honestly I think Dominance would be fine if they gave it a loud noise notification and increased the duration a tad.
It's quite easy to miss as all you get is the aura colour change.
-
Honestly should've played better. /s
-
I honestly don't know what they'll do. They seem intent on ignoring the people who want at least a semblance of Old Freddy back, though, which is a huge shame.
-
I wish Nurse would finally get the nerf she needs and then we can finally get justice for Awakened Awareness and Predator…
-
What's the point in any of the nerfs with this hotfix? All entirely unnecessary.
-
I don't like the perk nerfs at all.

Maybe it's just my personal preference. I just find gen Perks to be extremely boring, and each time they release one, I'm just thinking if they couldn't have come up with something more unique and interesting.
Gen slowdown and Gen speed Perks are just sad.. most aren't even op, they're just uncreative and boring.
I mean as far as gen perks go, this is probably the most interesting one. I like it personally, it just needs a couple tweaks (and an actual working iteration for once).
-
I have to agree.
While we're at it, get rid of the sensitivity penalties when ADSing. They only serve as anti-QOL.
If they don't want people to instascope then adjustments have to be made elsewhere, because Slinger just feels really awful to play a lot of the time.
-
They're probably buffing Demo's portals again.
Dracula is overtuned and needs nerfs. He should get buffs to his Wolf Form though.

Not really looking forward to a Deep Wounds update
Yeah, it's certainly a concerning thing to see up there. Especially as a Legion main.
I mean if they nerf Deep Wound, they can make Legion better, right? Right???

These two have been postponed until a later update.
Have the Pharmacy changes been postponed too?
-
Equally excited and nervous to see what they're cooking up. I hope it's more of a return to his older gameplay, but updated to modern standards.
-
That sounds less Bardic Inspiration, more Wild Magic Surge to be honest.
And honestly, Bardic as it stands is actually a pretty good perk I think, it just hasn't worked properly for MONTHS and it's actually terrible how long it's been left in various states of malfunction. BHVR really dropped the ball here.
If you want to make the perk better, reduce the Cooldown (but not the effect timer) to 60 seconds. This will allow you to refresh the buff while it's still active, and make cancelling performances that roll a 1-10 (where it's generally impossible to get the time spent back) less punishing.

Oh, I didn't know that. Will that buff have to go through the PTB first though?
I think it's coming through a hotfix, so probably not.
-
Windows is always a good shout. Maybe throw in an exhaustion perk like Lithe or Sprint Burst instead. Lithe + Resi is a good combo. If you want an alternative to Distortion, Object of Obsession might be a good shout, but if you're not super confident in chase the passive aura reveal can backfire at times.
Or you can wait until the patch drops that buffs Distortion, they're making it 15s to recharge so it'll probably be worth again after that change.

We can't talk about survivors without being canceled nowadays.
I don't think you know what being cancelled means.
-
It's a bug.
-
It does! If your scratch marks are hidden then they will be invisible to you while using Fixated.
It also works for the sporadic spawning of Lightweight.

Ive never understood this "you paid for it, you can do whatever you want!"
If I buy a ticket to go to the movies, doesnt mean I can talk loudly and be a disturbance to everyone else.
I mean, to be fair, you're not fighting the other moviegoers to win the movie.
Like you should probably try not to be a dick towards others in game but at the end of the day it is a PVP game. You're allowed to use whatever strategy you like in the confines of the game rules.
-
No, it absolutely translates in the other direction, and to pretend otherwise means you're either not looking or oblivious.
-
That looks cool as hell, actually.
It makes me want his RE4 looks (classic AND remake) as a cosmetic honestly:

ah yea 5 second blindness which is by far the worst status effect does nothing against any competent survivor LOL
It lasts as long as you're repairing the gen.
I'm not even saying it's good, it's just SO annoying. I just want my Fogwise value!!!!
-
I hate the fact that they gave it Blindness. So much.
-
Another thing to mention: Killers can currently spam the mori bar to prevent the Survivor from bleeding out, holding them hostage indefinitely:
https://twitter.com/janeislive/status/1847420350910325023Instead of being a hold interaction, it should happen on a single button press. Then, you can remove the weird pause before actually starting a mori too.
-
You don't have to take something seriously to find it unfun.
Being instantly hit with a projectile that has no windup or cooldown after use isn't fun, even from the perspective of someone who isn't trying to win.
-
So kind of like release Quick and Quiet? Would be a neat effect to have as a secondary.
I think a good idea would to have Low Profile activate when the gates are powered as well. That'd give it some use outside of just as a last-resort perk, and make it better in the scenarios where it's already good, since it'd refresh once the Hatch is closed, allowing you to get the gates stealthily.
Both of these buffs together would make the perk a lot more appealing. I really like the concept of Low Profile but it's just too niche as-is.
-
@Coordi said:
Hi! We wanted to confirm that it wasn't removed. The bundle only shows if you don't own part of it, but was mistakenly shown to some people who did for a brief period. Sorry for any confusion!
That's kind of wild that it doesn't show if you have the characters.
-
Yes, it does.

@MrDardon said:
I think the finisher Mori should work on the last man standing, similar to low profile.
If everyone is hooked, then the last Survivor on the floor can me moried.. that way the waiting out for the hooked person to die wouldn't be a thing.
Yeah, they absolutely need to do this to speed things up.
Not like Low Profile because that works when everyone else is in the dying state, but if everyone else is hooked then it should 100% work.
-
Can we get a dev comment on this?
-
I think the major issue with the event is that Haunts are extremely OP. Completely unreactable, no windup time or anything, just a free injury.
I really like what they've done with the Void mechanics, the fact that there's actual resources in them, the verticality is really cool. Smoke Bombs are cool, but a little niche at times, but I've been having fun with them. I hope they get turned into a perk.
The fact that you get Exhausted doesn't make sense, and the fact that only the killer can see who's in the void also doesn't make any sense. It'd be really nice if that information was also extended to the Survivors, since you can't really tell which one of your teammates are in the void if you're solo.
Haunts are overpowered as hell though and kind of suck the fun out of everything. That and the constant barrage of tryhards that the events seem to summon.
-
Huh, weird. Gonna hold off on buying these until someone either confirms or denies if it was intentional.
-
I need a Legion icon so bad!!!
Like, they said they'd add banners/icons retroactively for characters, but like over half the characters don't have anything yet. It's all new stuff with outfits and nothing else.
-
@TragicSolitude said:
Beast of Prey confuses survivors during chases. I enjoy that, even if I am running it for the BP.
Honestly if it had a lingering effect of like 10-20 seconds after you lost bloodlust, it might be a pretty decent perk on some killers.
-
I think it's fine balance wise but I don't blame you for not liking it.
-
@HolyDarky said:
In today's patch notes they mentioned that they fixed the issue that TWACK does not work with M2 moves but there is no mention about the missing aura part. Now, I wonder if the missing aura part is an intentional, still bugged, or unknown :/
The missing aura part is completely intentional as far as I'm aware. They deliberately changed the wording of the perk with the update.

Always funny to read duplicated thread about the same complain over & over. Why does anybody a search on this forum ?
As a killer can deal with a pallet predropper, he (you) can deal with a WoO user without to beg for a nerf…
Fact is: WoO avoid the survivor 'to loop' in a dead zone and as Alert & Empathy do, this perk gives you more info about the actual chase, where are the dropped pallet & where are located the survivor/killer in chase…
And sometimes you - as survivor - can confuse a breakable wall with a pallet… So WoO don't have only good aspects…Me? I'm not out here confusing breakable walls with pallets, that's just a you problem I think.
-
In what situation are you getting healed and then downed in under 30 seconds after being unhooked?
Seems rather niche to complain about. I don't think that really warrants a change.

@Devil_hit11 said:
wraith used to have add-on called all-seeing blood which showed aura of survivors within 12 meters. this was consider too strong by dev and was quickly sledgehammered. no chance your getting any aura reading.
I mean, to be fair, All-Seeing Blood is 8m now.
As for the OP, I don't think she should get Aura Reading basekit, but the penalty on Amanda's Letter could do with being reduced a bit.
Tangentially related sidenote: Anyone else remember 50/50 Pig? Back when Amanda's Letter reduced the amount of Jigsaw Boxes to 2. Trap a Survivor, crouch in front of one of the boxes, if they lose the 50/50 coinflip they die. :D
It was the AFK Pig before AFK Pig.

Such a strange argument to say survivors using windows are "not good at the game." I mean what does that even mean. If they escape they are by definition good at the game whether they had windows or not. Do you also think that killers that win by using noed or the new predator are "not good at the game" because those are perks that actually reward you for being bad at the game. All widows does is show you what resources you have, you still have to actually know how to take advantage of them. And considering how overpowered killer is right now survivors need all the help they can get. A lot of perks like windows and kindred should really just be made basekit.
I didn't say all Survivors who use Windows are bad at the game. I'm saying bad Survivors can use Windows like an autopilot and not have to learn tile placement. It can be used as a crutch.
There's plenty of good Survivors who use Windows too, though.

Only 4 imo:
WGLF – current version is overbuffed.
Background Player – 20 second of cd let you use it literally on every down and pair with it other exhaustion, too forgiving for such strong and sometimes even game changing effect.
Reassurance – I'm glad it's unpopular, because in right hands it's insane, especially after 70 seconds stage. But with 99% of people don't understand how to use it, I doubt it ever will be nerfed.
Forced Hesitation – 95% just use it for hook camping, but it rarely works in other situations. I think range should be buffed, but unhooked survivor should have immunity to it for 10 seconds.https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3820181#Comment_3820181
Honestly, recent hysteria about Penti is so cringe and see people try to create a problem out of nothing (thanks to Otz, I guess?) is disgusting. The only viable argument against it is that it's rough for soloq, but guess what? EVERYTHING is strong in soloq, because survivors are more killer here than killer himself. I don't know since when Sable can't break same totem she did before again is perk's problem and not the Sable's one.
You can nerf literally every thing in this game under this excuse. Oh, someone gives quick first hit to Oni in soloq? Let's nerf Oni. Soloq survivors can't share info about killer's perk? Let's nerf every Undetectable perk. Soloq can't hit great skillcheks? A good reason to nerf overcharge and Oppression. Survivors don't know counterplay against Twins? Let's nerf th… oh, wait.
When Penti was released, there was mistakes in description and gen slowdown effect was on a second place. And pretty much everyone said that if it's how it works, than perk would be useless. Now suddenly everyone plays in different dbd, it seems.
Left alone already the only perk, which makes Hexes viable, it already has clearest counterplay (yes, even if it's not enough for majority soloq big brains).Well first of all, I don't watch Otz, I haven't for years, and I've really disliked Pentimento since it's release. My opinions are my own.
It's undeniably better against SoloQ, yes, but it's also extremely effective against pretty much any lobby if played around correctly. It allows for essentially free proxies if you get a hook near a totem (you can leave it unlit until you get the hook near a Penti spot), and it makes for some extremely ironclad 3 gens if you have a totem to play around as well.
The counterplay is pretty much null if you are in a favourable situation to camp a totem alongside a key objective, which can happen a lot more often than you'd think. It requires extreme coordination to clear in these situations, to the point where even actual tournament teams can struggle to do so.
Worst case scenario, it's great slowdown that requires you to leave the objective to go do a sidequest. Best case scenario, it grinds the game to a halt entirely for extended periods of time while the killer camps a 3 gen or a hook. The only reason Penti hasn't been nerfed yet, I think, is because a lot of killers tend to do the former.
Either way, in both cases, it's super obnoxious to play against.

Nowadays it's just a meme bro. When there's someone who uses strong words and strong opinions about something simple like a mori, well… That's the meme.
Well it makes you look weird. The types of people who reference Sweet Baby Inc. like that are usually the same types that get in a tizzy whenever there's minorities in video games, from my experience.

It absolutely does not suck. You're probably just not using it right.

@Moonras2 said:
I think the penalty for unranked modes you have shown are less harsh, at the beginning, than DBD's penalty. There are no dc's with just a warning, but the starter one is only like 30 seconds I think.
That does not do anything for letting go on hook but I'm also not sure what they can really do about that. Forcing someone to just sit on hook, with nothing to do, would feel like sitting in queue... after sitting in queue.
They could make a mini game like skull merchants drones. Then make sitting on hook, and playing the mini game, worth a lot of blood points or something. Or, they could make the mini game a healing mechanic. Play the game and slowly gain on the health bar. It could even be made to work with perks like deliverance. Hit a certain number of prompts and deliverance activates. This way it isn't a wasted perk if you can't get an unhook.
As it stands I don't mind sitting on hook but it's because I can at least try to 4% if my teammates just leave me hanging. Give me a mini game and I might not pay as much attention to what my teammates are doing. Especially if I'm still gaining from it in some way.
That being said, many games do have a forfeit option as well. Maybe trying both ways would be worth it.
Rainbow Six's Standard mode gives you an hour penalty when leaving for any reason. Standard and Quick Match are both "unranked".
That said, there isn't actually an unranked mode for DBD. It's all ranked.
-
Alright, I'll bite. I've got a few
Windows of Opportunity - Not objectively overpowered by any means, but I think it needs a nerf. The amount of people who are very clearly not good at the game and use this with Lithe to just hold W from pallet to pallet to window is annoying to see. It's braindead gameplay and the perk will play the game for you if you let it. Not conducive towards players actually learning the game properly, the definition of a crutch that could do with becoming a bit less appealing.
Sprint Burst - Allows you to play far too safe. Massive snoozefest, especially against killers with a lack of catchup. Makes me roll my eyes every time I see someone run into the sunset from a gen for the seventh time this game.
And to be fair… I'll throw in some killer ones too.
Hex: Pentimento - Genuinely one of the most obnoxious perks in the game as it stands, and super problematic for various reasons. That much global slowdown is a nightmare, especially against soloq if you're not paying attention to where hexes are cleansed. This perk does not stop being a powerhouse against SWF, though. Playing around a 3 gen or a hook with Pentimento up is EXTREMELY strong.
Spirit Fury - More specifically the synergy with Enduring. Extremely cheap combo that results in free hits just by playing the game. By itself it's fine.
Franklin's Demise - GRAHHHHHHHHH GIVE ME MY FLASHLIGHT BACK!!! Genuinely though I think instead of draining charges, it should consume items again now that it no longer works with Limited Items. There's currently basically no chance of getting your item back with any useable amount of charges, and if the items flat out disappeared after a long period of time (i think it was like 90 seconds, could go to 120 maybe?), it'd nerf Franklin's/Weave since it wouldn't be indefinite.
More importantly however, I think there are FAR more perks that need buffs at the moment, and more urgently than a lot of perks need a nerf. Like most of these perks aren't completely destroying the games they're in, they just have issues one way or another. Except Pentimento, screw Pentimento.
