Okay, I'm just gonna refer you to the first 2 sentences of the post for that one buddy.
Fine. Ace is still a runner and they forgot Jeff. : P
-
Killer: I am a jack of all trades, but I like Demo, Legion, and PH.
Survivor: Jeff main.
But I also like:
Tapp
Bill
and Laurie.
-
I hate to break it to you, but all killers, including Legion, are given incredible strength by the Entity. They are given better senses, and faster reaction times. I mean, what normal person gets hit by hundreds of pallets without feeling any effects?
So they would win against none.
Even if they could, the Entity would probably take great issue with that, and probably intervene personally.
And everyone is forgetting that Jeff is a fighter as well. He has been in his fair share of fights. That, and Ace is more of a run from his problems kind of person instead of a fighter.

Actually I like dying light and its one of my favorite perks. Just because its not meta doesnt mean its bad.
I wasn't saying it because it wasnt meta, but because after my experience with the perk, it acts like a placebo. There are other perks I find better success with. If you like it, go ahead. No perk is bad if you know how to use it.

Spirit has facial animations, spirt and wraith just predated these times as they were unsure of the financial backing they'd have. this isnt cynical critique. its objective fact.
Everybody knows that. All I said was that I wished they would go back and add some to earlier killers like Wraith or Billy.
-
I wish that Billy and Wraith also had facial expressions, as their faces are actually showing. They did it for Clown and Spirit, I don't see why they can't give them other expressions as well.
-
People forget that counterplay shouldn't be necessary for every killer, especially when it is as boring as looping.
That, and some killers can't use their powers if they cant find you.
-
I think Blights rush lunge should be like Spirit after a phase... just like a normal lunge, but maybe with a little bit longer, after all, he is going from rushing to attacking.
-
I have played Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Hag, Leatherface (pre-change), Nurse, Deathslinger, PH, Oni, Legion, and Blight without addons. Out of those, only 4-5 killers are what I would consider good without addons. It really shouldn't be like that. Every killer should have a chance without addons, yet only 5 could have a real chance.
And most of that playtime was before cross-play was added. Now there is a disparity between killers due to the mechanical limitations between Xbox (my platform) and PC... which probably limits it down to 2, if we are being honest.

Old ruin needs to be brought back. But pop, dying light, and surge, you should have to work for them. If youre a good killer then those are good perks.
Dying light really only punishes survivors if they are already losing. Its effect is so minimal and its downside is stupidly strong, that it is more of a detriment at this point.

There's no reason to believe a FNAF character couldn't work in DBD outside of bias against the series. I'm pretty certain the devs are creative enough to figure out how to make it work.
Personally, I'd have simply chosen Freddy Fazbear himself, but considering Springtrap is the actual FNAF killer lore-wise, I'd be fine with him. I like the idea someone came up with earlier about being able to hide in lockers to make use of the "Jumpscare" mechanic.
I would love to see a FNAF chapter. Pyramid Head opened the door to licensed killers from video games after all.
Technically, Bill from Left for Dead did that first, but PH gave more serious thought to it. : P

Anytime someone mentions FNAF coming to DBD, I ask myself what is going on in their mind. It would be such an unoriginal and boring idea.
Like It, or Candyman? Those are just as unoriginal, tbh.

I’m on PS4 and feel fine with him now.
Maybe its just all the sweaty red ranks I keep getting, but he just feels so limited, like, why cant he swing after hitting a wall? If the survivor runs close to you, to avoid getting downed in a rush, the killer shouldn't just stand there like an idiot until he goes into cooldown...
-
Blight is kinda terrible on console though. He plays like a cement truck at 90 mph, and is just as hard to control.
If I wanted a killer who is faster and can down people quickly, Id pick Demo, ironically enough.

Great picks, but I think the reboots for both are trash.
Idk why, but I only like the originals.
Just my opinion that you didn't ask for :-)
I agree. I don't like a lot of modern horror movies. The originals know how to have tension without relying on jumpscares.
-
Nurse isn't using her ability to actually hit people. She is just using her power to get close enough to hit people. Pig and Blight use their power to hit people.
I agree, Blight should have their attack similar to Spirit or Nurse instead of how it is now. It is way too easy to whiff an attack as Blight when in the power, at least on Console.

Im a fan of Halloween and the original Chainsaw Massacre.

- 16 meters is too short
- You can fake the pickup to get survivors waiting for a save to come out
- It only holds uprite pallets survivors can still use windows and dropped pallets
Not only that, but sometimes survivors still bring down the pallet and it will still activate, meaning you can't use it for a situation that it might be useful in later.
-
Seeing four people get a health boost when you don't bring NOED can be soul crushing. Not only that, but it overrides other exhaustion perks, so if you are chasing an injured person and Adrenaline kicks in, you wasted a chase. It makes the possibility of a late game comeback almost 0. And it is a common perk to see.
It covers up mistakes, just like DS, Unbreakable, and the variety of other second chance perks.

The duration of Undetectable is too short to generally make it to the gen even on the fastest of killers unless you literally happen to already be close to it and not in the middle of a chase, so you are rarely truly capitalizing on it much.
More or less a perk for a 70% threshold ping. I'd rather just run discordance.
I'm not saying it's "bad", just that I think there are better options and over exaggerated.
Even if it fades right before you get there, they still have to react really quickly to your presence. It may not be the best undetectable perk out there, but it has utility and will reliably activate multiple times a trial.

@xEa said:
All in all íts your opinion and I disagree a bit with what you say.
Perks:
Who cares if they are DLC or not? Get them from the shrine or buy the DLC.
Items:
There are tons off extremly powerful addons for killer and not just Iri head. Iri head is extremly broken and by far stronger then any addon for an item survivors have tho.
Survivor have Spytic Agent, key and well.. thats about it... i dont know why you even mention Commodius toolbox, Toolboxes are useless now.
Then you say killer only have Ebony or Ivory mori... you know, offerings which are more powerrful then all the items and addons survivors have.
Maps and Tile Spawns:
Alone that you generally put autohaven as survivor sided gives me a good insight how much you care to look at both sides equaly. It is true that indoor maps are usually more killer sided, but those are definitly not the only ones. Just look at Saloon, Sanctum of Wrath, Shelter Woods, Chapel, Azarovs etc all killer sided without a doubt.
And about tile spawns.... lol icould also say deadzone after deadzone after deadzone... what you are talking about is rare. Safe loops into safe loops are really not that common anymore.
Ormond is true tho i give you that, they should remove a few pallets.
Bugs: For both sides...
You will make a follow up on the history of things being nerfed? Great, this might open your eyes a bit ;)
Perks:
You shouldn't have to wait for when the devs think a DLC perk should be on the shrine. BBQ itself has only appeared roughly 2-3 times on the shrine. There are a lot of free perks (Agitation, Lightborn, Enduring) are quite common.
Besides, comms will outweigh any perks a killer can have any day.
Items:
Items are only as useful as the survivor using it. I have used toolboxes to complete 1 crucial gen extremely quickly, while others waste it as the progress earned is removed.
Keys get stronger based on how many people die + how many gens get done. Moris do not. They can even be detrimental if a key (or someone with plunderers instinct) exists. It is infuriating to have a game in your control after a tough tug of war, only to have the remaining survivors leave via the hatch, which they can even control now through offerings. It is just ridiculous.
Tiles/Maps:
Saloon is not killer sided. I would call it neutral, as it depends on how both sides act. Coldwind can be very survivor sided as well, Both Yamaokas are survivor sided... but that is not the issue. Many of the tiles are easy to loop from one to another, even for a bad survivor like myself, and many are way too safe. And boring. There is no intensity if there are no stakes, and these tiles often rob the stakes from the chase, as you know you will just get to a vault or a pallet, taking you out of danger.
Bugs:
Survivors needed the nerfs, as there was no medium vault, there was no momentum mechanic (which I think needs a rework), every window was open, general infinites, and exhaustion went down even if you were running... it was legitimately an unfair situation at the time. It is not perfect balance yet, but it is a far sight better than it used to be.
I almost forgot to mention, but gens used to take 40 seconds, and BNPs completed an entire gen.
Tru3talent has a video of DBD in 2016. I would recommend watching it before listing off the survivor nerfs as a defense.
-
I disagree that he is a great killer, however, that could be due to the limitations of console, where you do not have the mechanical precision that you do on PC. He just feels too limited, and that his dash hinders more than helps sometimes. He has his moments, but there are times where other killers do what he can do better, such as Billy or even Demo.
Note: I also play without addons when learning a killer, so I cannot say anything about them.

You're confusing "ignoring" for "not doing exactly what the feedback says". The devs do the latter, like any rational human being would and should given all the contradictory feedback. Some people thought old Legion and Deathslinger were just fine. Others did not. So when you say they "ignored" the feedback, what you really mean is that they didn't do what you wanted.
Let's run the list, shall we?
- Graphical upgrade? Currently being worked on.
- Camping penalty? Done.
- More licensed killers? Done.
- More lore? Done.
- MMR? Currently being worked on.
- Hillbilly rework? Done.
- Leatherface rework? Done.
- Legion rework? Done.
- Freddy rework? Done.
- Nurse rework? Done.
That's just off the top of my head.
Nobody asked for the Nurse or Billy reworks, last I recall, and if they want crossplay to completely work, they should have resolved the console issues, to try to make an equal playing field. The fact they haven't for years is deserving of rightful criticism.
If they ignore feedback, then what is the point of the PTBs and the Forums? Why do these exist, if not to discuss feedback? And the console feedback was not one or two people, but a lot of them, myself included. They cannot just ignore it when it is something many, many people are discussing because it is a problem.
-
It is the fact that there are some games where nothing you do will stop the enemy team in any way. Especially when your fighting with the game itself sometimes and especially with poor design.
The general attitude of the devs toward killer & console problems really doesnt give me hope, either, as their actions just seem like a big middle finger to those groups... which I fall into both.
I want to love this game. It has the foundations for a great idea, it just is wasted in so many ways. The Blight is probably the best example of this. They hyped him up for 2 years, and he is a very important person lore wise. But instead of utilizing the serums and his alchemy knowledge for his killer power, he is relegated to a pinball machine. And the design of a hex perk with a cooldown just shows how unwilling they are to give something strong to killers. Granted, survivors received some mediocre perks this round, but a lot of the perks are just bad (except for Hex: Undying).
-
This is my Pallets exist? build:
Fire Up, Brutal Strength, Pop, and Spirit Fury.
You can replace either Brutal or Fire Up with Enduring if you have an Iri button on (Did I mention this is a Legion build?).
And then sometimes I use Rancor with Nemesis and see how many I can mori. : D

That wasn't what I was referring to. Some killers had unique lunge hitboxes, it was made universally the same hitboxes for all m1 attacks. This leads to stuff like Freddy getting a hit when his glove never actually touched you. It also forces the devs to restrict animations into the same thing, PH swings his sword in a different way than normal, for example.
Oh... well, then there wouldn't be consistency... XD
-
@SCP_FOR_DBD said:
Killers having varying lunges. A bunch of killers hitboxes don't match the swing they make, I wish they would give them an upside and a downside to the normal lunge to balance it out. I also just want PH to swing his sword like he did in SH2.
Also, Why did they remove the different vision for BT? I liked that as well.
Less that they removed it, but replaced the effect when Legion came out, as it was no longer called the BT timer, but the Deep Wound timer.
-
If I turn it off, the que times are 30-60 minutes per match. And they are decent teams. If I keep it on, I get instant games, but they could be potatoes or death squads. It is a mixed bag.
-
I'm trying to beat FNaF 4, and FNaF 3 Nightmare mode at the moment. Other than that, Halo, and a really good indie game called Valley by Blue Isle studios.
-
The Hag is actually my most lethal killer. However, still I do well with most (except Nurse and Billy).

During a Q&A stream.
Look for question 47.
Some of the stuff is outdated and before they put a massive Focus into lore so maybe it changed but so far to my knowledge this is the only confirmation on the doctor's headgear that we have.
It's a shame especially considering they haven't done general lore streams in long time which is fine having questions about updates and new features is also great but I do wish they would leave some time just for a lore Q&A again
So not in the game... that is disappointing. They couldn't even add that into the lore anywhere. The Docs lore tab makes it look like he could be mad enough to add it to himself.
-
Either from the Void or Skilled Huntress. Just because you have to be absolutely precise. However, I think From the Void is slightly harder due to the nurse rework.

Where does it say that?

Great job! It reads very well, and it contains the essence of who the Deathslinger is.

While I'd disagree that the secret offerings from killer is always an ebony mori, it is always one of the 3 moris, as the only other hidden offering killer has, actively hurts them due to each survivor being spread out which is optimal from the survivor side.
And veil offerings, from what I understand, don't even work half the time.

Doc I think is a similar deal to Trapper. Ok with murder and in fact we know that he is still “experimenting” with the survivors in the trials, but he is probably not happy to obey the entity and its rules, which is probably the reason for is headset, although even if it started unwilling, Herman seems to be fine with torturing himself for “research” at this point.
Nurse, I think she is also similar, but for different reasons, she didn’t want to do it at first, but eventually she saw no other choice and it seems that she think she is doing a favor to the survivors by killing them, continuing her “angel of death” stick.
In the lore, Susie seemed the more resilient to finish the janitor, so people think that she is not that into murder, but given how she has the happiest expression of the group, I think that in the realms, that is not longer the case, which I explain with the members of the Legion being mentally linked with the others, which made them much more willing to kill in name of the Entity.
He put that headset on himself. It is a relic from his experiments during his tenure at the original Lerys.
I agree with Nurse.
We have no proof of a telepathic link between members. But I can see why now. Although, seeing her model without the mask shows her as a disturbing psycho... but that could be because of how much time she has spent in the realm. A lot of the lore is through different perspectives and a lot is, frankly, starting to become unreliable.

Nitpick, but an add-on from the blight confirms that Vigo also returned from the Void, somehow:
The journal of a man who claimed to have returned from The Void. The knowledge within has practical applications.
As far as I understand it, and as far as it is worded, Vigo claims to have escaped the void. There is no saying if he actually has or not. Until there is concrete proof, I will leave it as that.
-
That is what the Void is for. It is the trash can of the Entity. All used survivors and killers are sent there, and the Blight is the only one to have returned from there.

I was using the park quick and quiet, he wouldn’t be able to hear me if i ran into a locker.
There might be a chance where there was a generator on the second floor that hasn’t been worked on so he came towards it and might of seen my scratch marks on the way since i ran towards the locker that was pretty close to the generator above me in the house.
Was quick and quiet on cooldown?

I have to agree with @SCP_FOR_DBD, as PH in the right hands can be devastating. If they try to loop, they will be downed quickly. And, it can hit through walls. People need to remember that, because it is his biggest strength.
I agree the sound shouldn't be map wide for it, as the sound does not sound loud enough when you are by it.

So why would the survivor do that? Where does he get the information to know "dude, I need Head On right now!" ?
It makes no sense. Unlike the killer who sees items and possible SWF. If you swap survivors or not, you could already start with your P3 character and have the best build possible. And "you can guess based on how they look"? Are you serious? Like Neas always play toxic? Or Dwights and Janes always run Head On? Are you serious? Come on...
Default Jane? Probably has Head on. That kind of expectation is something that happens after experience.
Besides the item, the cosmetics have reputations for a reason. And I am using my own experience within the game to guess what they have. I can usually figure out what they have in game from observation, but speculating what they can have can make sure you are not surprised by it later.
Keys are still stupid though.

Thats why their balance arguament of wanted "parity" between all versions is laughable when they're refusing to support KB+M on console versions and leaving it in its current state.
Even that wouldn't solve anything as some players can't get that for their console, still creating a divide.
-
No worries. Don't be afraid to experiment though. If you find a use for the others, I'd be interested to hear about it!
-
The only time the Goblet is useful is for mindgames at loops, as you lose the red stain.
The best addons are recovery, range, duration. The rest are not as useful, imo.
