I think base game is def survivor-sided. The survivors can finish gens in around 2 minutes or less while on a gen solo if you don't stop them or have something to stop or slow them from doing them. Now when we add perks into it I think so long as you get perks that work well with the killer you're playing it can balance things out.
Surprised more people here aren't flat out saying survivor with no questions asked. Though in my honest opinion I usually feel the game is survivor sided as a whole, but also more killers should give up in chase more. You really wanna catch survivors in bad spots or when they're injured from a previous chase or on a gen in a bad area. Long as you protect gens as killer you'll probably win, but most people seem to have the kill everyone mentality instead of guard gens.

We have no idea. Its being made worse with the next chapter release if they don't do anything before that point. If its 2 survivors 1 killer thats 6 new survivor perks. And 3 new killer ones.
Yeah it's absurd at this point. When I played legit every day all day it didn't matter much I could be prestige 2 day one but even then I still have to do all that leveling for each new survivor/killer I decide to play and in the end it leaves me to just not even playing them and I just stick to huntress after leveling the new killer. I'll just level her a bit get the perks and be done.

i hope they fix jake's ass. his mesh literally collapses in on itself right inbetween his asscheeks during his idle stance and it's really bad to see.
Never noticed 😂but I don't play him much. Hope they can get to everyone up until Felix he may have been where they started having the better-looking characters. Want to see better-looking Nea and Kate. Curious what they'd do to Ace and Adam as well if anything.

Did the devs confirm it? She already looks great in my eyes but people complain about her “flat butt” all the time which gets on my nerves.
I can't remember. After you commented I realize Last Year also had a thing about character model 2.0 so I may have mixed things up, but that game is officially dead now so it doessn't matter.

I've been playing on R8 for a while and have had multiple games with 2Ks or at better scenarios 3Ks. Not that I mind, for someone at my skill level I would consider it a pretty decent result.
I noticed a lot that survivors are purposely teabagging you to try to get your attention, but I know that they are just trying to be toxic, so I automatically leave them alone. :D
Literally harassing 3 survivors who might be worse than me is better than getting tilted and going after a really good juker/looper.
And then at the endgame, I say "gg" and they say something along the lines like "You think so, trash killer, scared to chase me, uninstall you are #########, etc.." Like bruh... I don't chase you because I know you are better. xD
All you achieve is notifying me who to NOT waste my time on. GG honestly, you are just making it worse for your team lmao.
So I want to curiously ask survivors who do this, what are you actually trying to achieve by being a dick? Because I learned to not get tilted anymore, it's pointless.
Someone already said it but sometimes it's just to taunt you into not chasing them. For me if or when I do it I'm doing it because I wanna taunt them because they've done something I don't like or I just don't care and wanna die.

Because it's a bug that favors survivors, it's not bannable. Because survivor fun>killer fun. Historically true as well. Remember the wake-up bug?
If it was a killer bug, as has been seen in the past, the devs would put a warning in game and ban killers for it. Remember double blades Legion?
I remember a guy saying he'd report me for abusing it and I didn't even know it was a thing. Not my fault they ######### up and I just so happened to be using both of the add ons because I liked them. During the game, I was wondering why they were going so long without mending but thanks to him I knew why.

I don't think so. I'm not apart of the it got nerfed it sucks now crowd but I think it hit him hard enough to make him much more bearable to play against. No more slow add ons itself made me happy enough. I really wanted being able to wake up from any clock but didn't get that.

Hillbilly's in my experience has been far easier to dodge than a huntress hatchet. Leatherface's instant down is something I have never agreed with. It doesn't even need an addon to instant down. I think being able to hit multiple survivors with the chainsaw is enough. I don't know exactly how ghostface works but can't you break his instant down power by looking at him or is that for something else? For me the frustration level depends on the killer. For some its more annoying and for others not so much, like hillbilly for example.
Yeah you just just look at him referring to ghost face but that only will work if he isn't good at it. The meter he builds on you doesn't go away so you may win breaking him out of it once but the good ones get you close and then activate it during chase to get you with the one hit. As for billy its very map dependent for me
-
@KateMain86 said:
Nope. And the change isn't enough. The mere fact any killer has an addon that makes anything they do have an instant down is overpowered and not fun to play against. Seeing a huntress down 3 survivors in the first minute or 2 with an instant down hatchet is not fun. It causes lots of survivors to leave the match or give up on first hook. Its a miserable experience for survivors to go up against instant down hatchets and I have NEVER and I mean NEVER once enjoyed or had any fun whatsoever against a huntress that used an instant down hatchet. In fact it has caused me to stop playing the game more than anything. I can't tell you how many times I closed the game out after an instant down hatchet huntress match. Its just not fun to play against and makes people hate the game. The addon needs to be entirely removed from the game or completely changed into something else. Its too much power even if it will now just be limited to 1 hatchet. Every huntress will just reload after a down, then hook and rush after the next survivor.
Okay but hillbilly has an instadown chainsaw that he uses right on your ass and so does leatherface, and ghost face but they do that 24/7 huntress DOES NOT and has to aim at least to hit you

Anyone find it ironic how they made Freddy's alarm clocks give survivors immunity from the dream world for 30 seconds.. but also removed the terror radius function from borrowed time?
It looks like they were adding a counterplay option at first so survivors could use borrowed time against Freddy but then decided to change BT altogether. Seems like it should be one or the other.
I think its permanent immunity until you've gotten hit. But you have 30 seconds before getting hit will put you in dream. That was my understanding anyway

No one will use this addon once the patch goes live.

I don't think it's unusable, but I come from an FPS background so I have a pretty high accuracy rate with my hatchets.
The ranged requirement would've been so much better than what they've changed it to.

Let be honest, current DS does nothing against those hardcore, aggressive tunneling killers. They eat the stun and continue to tunnel, which is my issue with DS.
Yes, it stuns the killer but it doesn’t fix the issue with tunneling killers. My proposed change to DS is to lower the timer from 60 seconds to 45 seconds. Timer is slowly decreasing while in chase. Stun timer is now 3 seconds and if successfully used, it will deactivate the killers power for 20-30 seconds (Can be changed). It really needs to punish Tunneling killers, not even sure why it’s not like this. Laurie technically knocks out Michael in Halloween after stabbing him in the eye.
If you are afraid it will be abused by Survivors, it can’t. It will still deactivate like it currently does.
I can vibe with this though I think if its gonna cancel their entire power it should be 15 seconds max

I’ll explain to you what a truly toxic Spirit is. Last night I had a match against one. I was the first one to be found. She downed me and instantly started face camping me, shaking her head at me and everything. No gens or anything had been done because the match just started. Anytime I managed to get saved she would just go right to me and tunnel me back on the hook, then proceed to facecamp me again. I didn’t even get to touch a gen or do anything. It was just hook struggle the game. I don’t blame her for her perks or anything. I blame her for how she played, which is like a dickweasel.
Had a freddy shake his head at me after he caught me for the first time the whole game after I had looped him from one side of the map to the other and i'm like.. Why nod? You're not good you're just bound to win in this situation. Two dead survs because they kept farming each other and one on the ground with me running. Really wondering when they'll show his nerfs. I'm mostly hoping for waking up at any clock because going across map for that as the "fastest" option is wack
-
@ChiSoxFan11 said:
Did the killer hit someone on the hook repeatedly after hooking them?
Did the killer relentlessly chase one survivor the entire match, ignoring other targets entirely to focus on tunneling one survivor?
Outside of EGC/all gens being done, did the killer facecamp a survivor on hook?
Did the killer post anything rude or offensive in the post-game?
If the answer to all of those is no, I don't see a "toxic" killer there. I see a Spirit player who's probably new, considering that they don't have a single perk in play that's Tier 3. It's an Endgame build that clearly didn't work. The Mori, as people have pointed out, is essentially useless now, and they're running common add-ons. Only one "meta" perk (Tinkerer), and that's debatable depending on the rest of the build.
No build is "toxic". No killer people play is "toxic" by their existence in the game. There a few playstyles that are "toxic", but not nearly as many as people assign the word to them.
Considering how low their point totals are in comparison, this looks like a killer who barely landed any hits, never mind achieved any hooks, and probably was run around the entire match by the survivors.
Guess I made the wrong salt post. Though she got hits but couldn't tell if she gave up on them or they just got away.
-
@Kebek said:
I mean the changes to remove scratch marks make it better perk than before as that's some very strong effect but I so wanted lucky break to get infinite duration.
You'll get one (extremely unlikely to get 2 uses) very likely escape from a killer after getting injured once (or it'll get wasted if they leave naturally to pressure others) and then the perk is gone forever.
That's such a pity, I won't be using it after all and probably never reach my dream of having a perk that erases blood pools for the whole trial.
I'm so sad, I waited so incredibly long and asked so many times for a lucky break change and this truly disappoints me.
I guess my only option now is to keep asking for another lucky break rework.
Only time it ever seems worth using is when I have inner strength ready to use already and have iron will. Other than that it doesn't seem too worth.
-
@Dragonshensi said:
So having these perks and Mori is now toxic? But I’m guessing you guys using Adrenline, DS, and all the meta perks against her isn’t toxic? Cause “it’s part of the game”? Not to mention a freaking key and flashlight. Holy crap what an entitled survivor. The double standards here is amazing. Killers are held to such high standards that all of them should be added a fedora to tip their hats to survivors. While survivors can act any way cause survivors.
Well in my head initially it came off as her intent is to be toxic and slug with insta down to 4k. I don't think the two survivor perks are toxic because one needs you to finish all the gens and in my case it usually is wasted anyway but DS is near doodoo to me. Though I'm using it anyway since more killers started tunneling after the nerf. At least the ones I play. But as the others said it was prob a new spirit that used the best perks they had.
-
@Xzan said:
Why do you expect a "gg" from a killer getting nearly 10k points and 0 kills?
I only see one gg in the chat, so I assume the person that wrote it, seems to think that onesided games are "gg".
I mean its just polite. Even if I die i say gg. Only way I don't is if they've tunneled me to oblivion or camped me to death from the very first hook at the start

@NomiNomad said:
How, exactly, was she toxic? Showing off her perks and gasp An ivory mori!? An item that acts like a longer death hook? Dear god, how toxic!
This really doesn't show anything. If you're calling her perks and the mori toxic, not really. They're just things in game. If a green mori is toxic, a key is toxic.
The rancor + Mori is pretty damn funny though.
Yes the perks and mori + spirit. But assuming the person is new given how well they expected that to work I guess.
-
@Kebek said:
That's probably a new killer rather then toxic one based of the build.
Didn't think about that though. She did get a down with NOED but instead of hooking and trying to get more hits she went after someone else and I cleansed it and someone got the downed person
-
@Northener1907 said:
She didnt write any toxic message? So there is not problem. And you cant force people to do that. Maybe she had bad game and wanted leave fast. So what?
Give you the upvote but yeah she didn't say anything rude. Just the intention with her perks and offering shows toxicity to me. It'd be like me coming in to harass her with a flashlight in a SWF and failing.
-
In my opinion as much as I love this game the only thing it has is being one of the first in this genre of games and having the licensed killers and survivors. If any other game comes along and has better more stable gameplay and mechanics that don't get broken on new updates I think it could do some damage. Though just because of licenses and time spent on this game people will come back anyway.

My friends and I often don't play the game for months. Then we feel the urge and get back in. Our ranks are all over the place.
As for OPs question. The MM cares more about speed than accuracy. It "tries" to find a suitable rank at first but the fact is. There's more survivors than there are killers. If 4 survivors are waiting long enough it throws the first killer it see's at them. Fairness be damned. It will never be fixed because you can't force more people to play killer. While were on the subject, rank really doesn't mean anything. It looks bull#@$% that a 17 gets paired against a r1 but once you play the game enough. You realize rank only reflects playtime for the month. It's really easy to consistently rank up and it's difficult to derank. I've seen so called "red" players that make some really stupid plays. It makes me ask "How the hell did you get past green ranks? Were you carried or were you facing some really poor opponents?
True though I still think its a decent way to tell skill. It won't always mean someone is good or bad. I was basically a smurf when I started on PC
-
@Kirkylad said:
Could be random trash matchmaking. But likely a SWF with a rank 14 in their team to get lower rank killers. SWFs do that a lot for easier matches.
Why do people assume this all the time? I'm red rank and my friend that doesn't play much is yellow and green ranked. Its not my fault.
-
That looks significantly better

I must be one of the only ones that prefers playing them as killer. I find many of the other maps quite dark. Too easy for iron will survivors to crouch around in.
Plus they tend to be good maps for huntress snipes.
Well Huntress there depends on how good you are with your eyes like Nurse imo I get some nice hits there

Corn Maps are pretty good for survivor.
Swamp Maps are bad for both sides. I hate playing Swamp Maps no matter which side I'm on. As killer, it's hard to find survivors. As survivor, stealth is practically your only option.
I like swamp more than cornfield maps
-
Less survs think its good because it got nerfed. They don't use it. Killer sees no obsession they know they can tunnel freely. Even with it if you decide to touch a gen or heal someone or yourself a little too quick and the killer wanted to tunnel you then you're ######### out of luck you can't stop it unless you can loop them till escape or till they give up.

Fav Surv Perk: Iron Will or Inner Strength
Least Fav : No mither
Fav Killer Perk: Blood Warden or Save the best for last
Least Fav: Monstrous Shrine or Stridor

Tunneling is out of control because the perk is easy to abuse as a killer. Run nurses and just look for someone healing themselves or wait till they tap a gen.
-
He's pretty fun to me. PLaying as him and against
-
Also you ever heard of blood warden? Its a very nice perk to have when you down someone when all the gens are done. Open gates, hook survivor, profit. If you wanna try make it even better bring NOED I guess.

-
@ShyPirate said:
There needs to be an overhaul of the rift grind.
With the current rift (and I'm assuming the previous rifts as well) the challenges alone provide less than half the fragments required to get to level 70. If you completed every challenge in this rift, you would earn 344 fragments when 700 are needed to get to the end.
XP also earns fragments of course, but at 800 XP per fragment and lets say 550 average XP per game, you need to play over 500 matches (I didn't include the extra 600 XP each day if you play at least one killer match and one survivor match, so I guess that helps).
But that comes out to an average of 7-8 matches EVERY DAY for 70 days. Some people might have time for that, but I can't imagine many do. I'm lucky to squeeze in 2 or 3 matches on weekdays and maybe a couple dozen over the weekend.
For a while I completed them with around 20-30 days left to spare but grinding the game like this EVERY tome is getting old and is hard to deal with because I've played so much just to get through this thing that when I decide to take a break from the game and play other games or do other things I have to struggle to complete this thing like now. I'm almost done with challenges and at 41 Its such a grind after the challenges

I was happy with the DS nerf, but now after playing for a while on both sides, I can agree that it could remove the penalty from self-healing.
As a killer, you could even strategically let survivors to start heal themselves so you can tunnel.
As long as DS is deactivated by tapping gens or breaking totems, rescuing or other objectives, I feel self-healing should be allowed.
That's what i'm saying I'm ready to abuse it as killer but I don't really like tunneling so prob won't intentionally do it often but still.. Lots of killers tunneling a lot more too now

If the killer sees you healing, you are the exact reason that DS needed to be nerfed. DS is no longer 60 seconds of invulnerability. Why are you healing yourself so quickly after being unhooked? You should be running somewhere safe, then making sure the killer isn't there, and then healing yourself.
Realize I didn't paint the picture correctly in the post when I made it, but yeah you're right. That situation is what should happen and what I intended to happen but it didn't since the killer kept looking for me after I tried to heal and then tried to move somewhere to hide again.

maybe try not self caring within line of sight of the killer that'd be a good start
You and everyone else that has said that has missed my point. The point is that you went to hide and there was no terror radius and you started healing and then DS went away and then at any point during that heal the killer comes back looking for you. From there you can commit to the heal or try to run or hide somewhere else and then get found and you get hooked for free because you tried to heal yourself. It is not at all about healing at the damn hook. Its like none of you read or you ignore the parts that go against what you wanna say to counter argue.

Yeah spine chill is a rare one for me. I use to run it all the time for spirit but after her nerf I didn't feel the need to anymore. With this post I tried to specifically point out the situation to be when you've gotten off and they come back but you weren't aware of them coming back until you heard the terror radius. In which case if you've tried to self heal and get caught you've been tunneled in my eyes but I can see why others wouldn't see it that way. To some you just got unlucky and got found again.

That ain't considered tunelling tho if someone unhooks you and killer doesn't find anyone else they know for a fact there's two ppl on place where unhook happend it's only logical to come back if u don't find other survs however it's ur decision if u wanna run and find safe zone or heal right off the hook plus even if they do come back u got heart beat and u can safely run to nearest loop tunelling means not giving surv an option and tunelling them a moment they got unhooked at least for me some might have different definition of tunell
Mine is essentially that and going for someone you know just got unhooked regardless of the situation. So that is a big part of why I have the stance. In your definition def don't need this change I mentioned.
