I wanna believe that but if they haven't said it to be a risk I'm being honest with you I'm not gonna believe it. Though sometimes not dropping it when they've started to lunge works but it always varies. But it's stupid annoying and looks and feels much more like a mechanic that doesn't work rather than a way to outplay a survivor.Malakir said:Pallets works actually. Its mean to be a risk not an easy stun plus killer oriented? Already camping isn't something you can see anymore after the changes making insidious killer perk useless. Yeah I mostly play swf but I'm a P3 Freddy main in at rank 4 I don't really think I play against bad survivors but it's rare I ever not kill all of them. Some get close to escaping but it's rare they escape and yeah I get that the game has been very survivor favored but I'm tired of getting hit through the damn pallets. Don't care about anything else but that and not having dedicated servers. There's a lot of games you'll play and then you'll be teleported back closer to the killer and be hit when on your own end you were further away. Just various things like that and the devs playing off the being hit through pallets as latency.se05239 said:@Ramxenoc445 said:
I play a lot of killer when playing aloneYou play primarily SWFs, it sounds like. When you rarely play killer, you tend to face really bad survivors and that gives off the illusion of power.
Bad experiences in SWFs against killers, coupled with your easy games as a killer, probably made you decide that killers are OP and you went ahead and made this thread.
I'll have you know that Killers have gotten the short end of the balance stick for faaar too long now and it's just lately that small buffs have started coming their way. The developers are too afraid to properly nerf survivors or rework levels to benefit killers.

I never use ruin. Thanatophobia + dying light or BBQ + dying lightHellDescent said:Imo totems are pretty much useless since they spawn in stupid places get destroyed in the beginning of the game, even with the addition of haunted ground(some people will break it even if there's no other hex perk just to get points). I hate the pig, and I'm personally glad she's as bad as she is. Too many people that use her just camper and tunnel. The reverse bear trap i feel is more of an endgame use kind of thing you use when survivors need 1-2 or no gens. So many pig players I feel are using her wrong as well. The way a lot of them I encounter play her is catch somebody trape em hook camp em or patrol them and when they get unhooked tunnel them down. There is no point aside from the BP in using the trap if you're just going to tunnel the person down. Now your complaint about bear traps giving survivors too much time to get it off I think it should be that way just so it's fair if you get terrible rng it shouldn't be a guaranteed kill. With that said to help with that they could give her more traps but then she becomes incredibly annoying to play against. Then she'll probably get the Freddy treatment.HP150 said:I know I'm late to the party (I stopped playing after they nerfed Freddy 2 weeks after his release despite already being the weakest killer released), but holy smokes... After playing her for a while it seems like she just has so much going against her, I'm surprised she hasn't been worked on after BHVR got their initial cash grab from her release.
RBTs: Reverse Bear Trap's whole thing is that they're supposed to prevent escape... Yet Survs can just hop through the hatch? Live(?) the rest of their existence with a bear trap on their head? So all the other survivors have to do is leave if one buddy has a RBT on and the exit gates are powered? Or god forbid they bring a key... * shudders * I've heard an argument that if it is the last survivor alive with a RBT on then all the killer has to do is camp the Jigsaw Box that has the key... Counter-point: If the Pig is able to track you that entire time and knows exactly which Boxes you've been to and knows exactly which box has the key, maybe you've been outplayed and deserve the loss?
RNG: "But RBTs should be used to delay the game!", sometimes, yes. But that's heavily RNG dependent. Let's say the survivor gets RNG screwed and has to go through all the boxes. They will ALWAYS have enough time as long as they're not screwing around. If the Pig gets RNG screwed and the survivor gets it off on the first box, she just wasted 1/4th of her finite use power as well as her time. One feels a bit less crappy than the other. I guess they knew that RBTs were trash, which is why they gave her a second killer power...
Crouching: ...Which wouldn't be abysmal if that secondary power didn't require you crawl around the map at a snail's speed. The devs way overrate how strong stealth killers are in general (see: Freddy, Wraith, how long it took them to make EW1 Myers to move faster than Survs or how they took away his bloodlust). Gens get done really freaking fast in this game nowadays and if you can't patrol gens in a timely fashion then you've likely lost. I barely even get to use the stealth mode mid-game because of this.
Addons: Her addons are atrocious. As in, I'd rather take her common addons than any of her ultra-rare addons. Also, take the Face Mask for example.
Survivors caught in a Reverse Bear Trap suffer from the Blindness Status Effect.
Does not affect the Jigsaw Box highlight.WHY? Why the unnecessary stipulation? Why isn't she allowed to have super strong addons? Why aren't survivors allowed to die to the bear trap? Lord knows survivors have a 6th sense for finding every generator and totem on the map as evidenced by the gen rushing/hex totems that last 30 seconds into the match, is it really that unreasonable to have an addon that requires them to use their eyes and ears to look for the boxes without a blaring white highlight from everywhere on the map?

Well because my internet is out was gonna ask how she was but....you answered that well enough. I haven't even bought her yet.. still will but jeez..ToastfaceKilla said:So just hitting P3 with her, and having a fair amount of fun playing around with Perks and such, and although she's not trash by any means, and has a lot going for her once you get used to tracking survivors with haunting. The issue so far, is that a few of her mechanics force you to tunnel, what I mean by this is a few things.
Her cooldown and general time taken to use her ability, makes it incredibly risky to use if you are not sure of getting a hit. Missing is such a huge time penalty (Especially when compared to similar killers) That you never want to make risky plays.
This means that because Scratchmarks have a delay, and are generally unreliable even with predator, and following them is just asking to get juked, sound is by far your best tool in using her.
So who makes more noise? Injured and recently unhooked survivors. If I haunt back to a hook after a rescue. (Which you can do from a fair distance, pretty rapidly) Its very easy to find the unhooked guy, and just tunnel them into the ground, its not something you do deliberately, but her power just lends itself to it, especially if running Stridor (Which she needs to even start being effective, put stridor in her base kit, seriously, without it survivors running iron will are invisible.) Going after a healthy survivor is pretty much never the best idea, because without the injured noises, its incredibly easy to get juked. I'm not sure how to fix this, and she still needs buffs in other areas, but as people find the most optimal builds for her, I think you are going to see a lot of salt because she really excels at just taking people out 1 by 1.

Yeah, it's just I understand this game can be very frustrating and you generally come here to give or receive actual feedback and I just don't like how each side is usually pretty bias in their responses and I feel killers whine a little too much and refuse to learn different ways to win. Though I play both sides and hillbilly is one of my favorites to play against. The chainsaw for me is only ever really an issue for me when they get close to me and start charging it up because I get nervous.jmaximo93 said:
I know that this is an old post but I agree with you. Also, thank you for giving a proper response without any hate.If they did that at all I'd say 5 seconds is enough max but it wouldn't really be fair to just give him specifically a cool down like that when other killers don't really have that on their powers. I play survivor and killer though not hillbilly but my suggestion to you is if you already don't use a headset and get nea's urban evasion. I don't think it's that big of an issue though I don't want to tell you git gud like everyone is doing because that helps nothing. Hiding behind the generator can definitely help but once you've done that just stealth walk away and hide behind something that still let's you see him. They usually leave after not seeing anyone on the gen and if you can avoid starting it if you suspect he'll rush your way.jmaximo93 said:

That's how I feel about it. The point is to escape and get out. Why waste time with anything else. I cleanse totems for the potential to kill noed and I'll unhook others and go right back to a gen. Gen rush is inevitable and killers will just have to deal with it just as survivors have to deal with the inevitable camping killer or tunneling killer along with teams that don't help when you're hooked and you die on first hook.HookedonDemand said:The whole gen rushing thing confuses me. Isn't finishing the gens literally the only thing survivors need to do to escape ? Why would they wait, to take in the scenery ? It's like complaining that the killer starts killing right away...

I 4k with him all the time if not all the time. Times where I don't I 3k I'm currently only rank 9 with him on killer but he is basically the only killer I play. I just love Freddy even before this game introduced him to it. He's p3. Only other killer that gets used by me is huntress. But Freddy isn't as bad as people say I think most are just too lazy to learn to play him and be good at it. But lots of killers love to camp and such but since that doesn't work so well with Freddy they call him bad. Though i'll agree he isn't all that without add-ons but even then he's decent enough.Killigma said:In my experience Freddy is bad because he is reliant on his add ons to even stand a chance. Playing a basic Freddy is a nightmare, no pun intended. And to be honest, it just shows how reaching rank 1 is easy if you put in enough time. I don't see the nurse as op. Pallet loop plus run towards her when she tries to blink it's like a free juke. I love playing against the hillbilly as well though I understand why he's top tier. Huntress... Most I come across aren't very good. I hate playing against the pig and the doctor and camping leather faces. Anyone else I'm fine withSovererignKing said:Survivor is more OP at the moment. All you have to do is Loop, and you cripple all but three Killers in the game to an absurd level. All of those Kilers running the Killer meta by the way. -
This game would be the epitome of garbage if you couldn't play with friends. Anyone with friends would never play or would only play kill your friends but isn't that great because you wouldn't always have fair games if you don't have four friends to play with.MojoTheFabulous said:The Devs are never going to change this. Easy.
That extra little bit would make the perk viable.

You're right but I'm not trying to say it needs to be a guaranteed escape it's just needs to be a little more useful. Everyone is saying perks don't need to be that good but I usually run dance with me, self care, lithe, and urban evasion and those almost always guarantee either escape or stealth being viable except against the doctor. I just think boil over should be a little better for general use not just maps with lots of obstacles but that's why it's an opinion because the killer main that plays Freddy in me knows if probably hate this perk being more effective.Orion said:@Zanfer said:

Just get better. This doesn't need to be an option, and if swf groups bother you that much you shouldn't even play no other game that I know of adds options to break up matchmaking like that. I play killer and survivor being killer is not that hard it's simple mind games and outplaying survivors. I almost exclusively play swf when I'm survivor and we still get owned and we also dominate killers.trendyfartknocker said:Devs, this will be the easiest fix of your life. It's a simple UI change and a flag in the match making algorithm. It'll probably take 5 minutes to code and 30 minutes to add the UI elements. It solves the one issue of balance that is both A) completely outside of your control and
completely your fault for the bad implementation.
To be clear, the issue is not inherently groups with friends, but the almost certainty that said groups are communicating OUTSIDE the bounds of the game. There is no amount of balance that can be obtained through skill or perks that can counter this. Even the best rank 1 killers fail against some of these groups. Give killers the CHOICE to face them or not. It's pretty simple, really.

Not sure why they started a new a project when the current one has all the issues it has and lacks dedicated servers. But let's make a new game with dedicated servers
. Personally to me death garden looks like a clone of this game but with guns but I also know very little about it but I don't need another game similar to dead by daylight. This one frustrates me enough with stupid broken pallets being broken because of hitboxes and lag. Dedicated servers may have fixed that but instead of doing that they made a new game with dedicated servers that not a lot of people are even playing and that peak doesn't look very good either. Enough said I'm ranting and sort of ragging on bvhr but I love this game I just want it to work properly, get dedicated servers, and be the king of survival horror games.

At best PC PS4 crossplay would be the only likely option with sony

I support this

I want Adam. I don't really know his perks, though I'm iffy on the killer. Been trying to decide if she's op or not op. I think she'll be as amazing as the nurse with a high skill cap or be as useless as the pig. I say the pig because I'm a p3 Freddy and you can't tell me he's useless but also because I hate the pig.

I appreciate the constructive comment some didn't give that at all. I think I just have bad luck on when I try to use it but I overall just won't ever use it again. There's better perks that do much more than just a potential save.Condorloco_26 said:@Ramxenoc445 said:
Using it never results in a save. It's always well it almost saved me or it was almost useful. Needs a buff or a rework because it's especially useless if the killer has iron grasp due to the perks just nearly cancelling out and wiggling off a killer is only possible when survivors body block and the killer doesn't have iron grasp or if the killer is really far from a hook. The small 2% you get to wiggle free might as well not be there because you will almost never save yourself using this perk you're better off with just about anything else.As a killer main I can tell you it does work when you are carrying people and need to walk through narrow spaces or doors in some maps, and also when you have to walk long distances. It works even better when coupled with teammates bodyblocking.
Iron Grasp kinda counters it, but Agitation is a much better perk and makes IG obsolete, so most killers will prefer Agitation. I have dropped several survivors with Boil Over in my games (or they wiggled out, should I say)

Same responce to you like the other person. I doubt that it is. It happens way too often to just always be lag. Everything you just said to justify facecamping being skillful is kind of bs. None of that requires much skill you just need to be an average player of this game. The lowest ranked killers can do all of that. The only skill you need to kills with facecamping or camping in general is outsmarting the survivors trying to save the hooked one. If they don't try to save and the hooked survivor sits there long enough you get 1-2 kills at best. If they're good survivors they'll save regardless of your face camping.Orion said:@Jack11803 said:
@Orion said:
Why do you (wrongly) believe facecamping doesn't require any skill? What’s skillful about it? Is there a particular skill you must harness besides not being a blind potato?
Well, to facecamp, the following had to happen:
1. The Killer had to find a Survivor (meaning they were better at finding a Survivor than the Survivor was at hiding from a Killer).
2. The Killer had to chase a Survivor long enough to hit them twice (meaning the Killer was better at chasing a Survivor than the Survivor was at losing a Killer).
3. (Bonus; does not always happen) The Killer had to deal with body blockers on the way to the hook (meaning the Killer was better at hooking a Survivor than the other Survivors were at body blocking). So you tell me, why you wrongly believe facecamping takes no skill. Seems to me the Killer had to outplay the Survivor he hooked every step of the way.
