How could you being tunnel if you bring ds

I see a lot of title about the ds fixed cause more tunnel.

And seriously how could it be possible?

Can someone please explain me that in which situation you can somehow still being tunnel with the new Ds?

Just make a example that in which situation Ds can't help you keep safety before you run to a safe place please.

Ds didn't change anything about it's anti tunnel effect.

It just change that you dont get a 60sec you can't touch me time.

  • So, while I agree the DS nerf is fine- you could still tunnel someone even when old DS was a thing. Old DS the problem was it was being used to punish killers who were not tunneling, in a pile of unfair ways.

You just....eat the DS and then down them again, they can only use it once; and then you proxy the hook and as soon as they are unhooked down them again even through BT and they have no DS so you kill them. You lose like, most of your gens, it's never been good for your actual success in the game- but you can absolutely do it.

That person gets like no blood points because they didn't get to do like anything all game, and you get like....one kill that game. It's boring for everyone. Like DS was never full immunity, if the killer is not a complete potato or especially if they have an instant down of sorts- they WILL get you eventually.

  • You get unhooked. Killer tunnels you, you stun them with DS, they proceed to tunnel you (If they're Nurse or Spirit congrats that's about 10 seconds before you're down again).

You get unhooked. Killer tunnels you again. You have no DS this time, you die.

  • Survivors are upset because old DS allowed them to repair gens right in the killer's face. They could still get out of the exit gates that way. Now that they can't do that they are getting killed before they finish the gens. They're just salty they lost. DS hasn't changed. It still fulfills it's function as anti tunnel. They just can't make progress and keep it anymore.

  • I believe that's the nail on the head you hit. Basically, the invincible status they were granted which allowed then to do gens in front of the killer has gone. In that respect, they don't like it.

Yet you're right: people can still fling themselves at a killer in the hope of being floored and picked up for the DS. Killers can still be baited to pick survivors out of the locker or caught whilst jumping over a ledge. If a killer wants to waste time tunnelling, only to eat another DS, then it works.

Basically, it works in everyway as before except for mocking a killer. Because of that, some decided it is now worthless.

Ds stun the killer like 5 sec.

Even if we only count 4sec for survivors to run.

    It is still 100*4=400% distance.

And even if we don't count about pallets and windows.

The survivors only run in a line without looping.

The killer still need 400/(115-100) =more than 26 secs to catch up.

In other words once the ds is active you are nearly safety.

The killer can still tunnel you, and the killers that are used more often can reduce that distance if you were to run in a straight line or just easily win the chase if they're somewhat competent (Again, Nurse and Spirit).

Yeah, a tunneling killer does not care.

Don't mistake the action, with it's effectiveness.

  • Less survs think its good because it got nerfed. They don't use it. Killer sees no obsession they know they can tunnel freely. Even with it if you decide to touch a gen or heal someone or yourself a little too quick and the killer wanted to tunnel you then you're ######### out of luck you can't stop it unless you can loop them till escape or till they give up.

  • I manage to survive in chase for a whole minute after I get unhooked, killer downs me after these 60 seconds of chase. DS deactivated despite me being in chase as soon as I was unhooked.

  • You can be tunneled again after using DS.
