Split...
Killer players
Survivor players
Those whom play both sides (but spent more time on one side then the other)
Those whom do play 50/50
Those who express their favorite creators opinions
Those who express their own opinions
New players
Old players
Low "rank"
High "rank"
Low skill
High skill
Players who have great ideas
Players who have Ideas that could use tinkering
Competitive players
casual players
Players whom fall in the middle
UMMMM... I know there's more
-
I can't even take these tournaments seriously
-
Depends on the situation:
If it was a complete loss for me as killer... leave, let me get into another match (and you as well)
If it was a end game loss... meh, maybe I hit as they leave (to at least feel better about my loss)
If it was a good well played game... stay as long as want but I will try to get you (for points for all players involved)
If it was a good end game... I'll chase you out
-
They can't reveal what they have plans to do
-
I certainly did... but after watching a couple videos on The Blight I'm going to invest at least till level 50 and go from there
-
The idea has been tossed around (like a ragdoll)
It is a good idea but there's a lot to work on

I've found I have to re-adjust around the hook to get it to work. The bug's like an inverted version of the hill, whereby instead of trapping you it blocks it off.
The odd thing is that this bug, alongside a couple of others, took a while to materialise. As if something happened afterwards. It was rather strange.
The more they add the worse it gets... Agree?

So yesterday i was playing solo queue, and there were TONS of killer DCs
The killers that DCed werent even baby blights either. they were like, ghostface, myres, and a wraiths/etc.
They got gen rushed then DCed. Killers have gotten gen rushed b4 and didnt even bother DCing on me. But yesterday, they just kept DCing.
Red ranks btw.
There's a hook bug running rampent
Where killer's can't hook survivors...
Killers would be standing in front of the hook but can't hook... allowing survivors to get freed and denying a hook
-
Let's see...
Undying... probably has something ready to go
Compound 21... Don't have one so I don't know... Mid chapter maybe
-
@Terro I would've said Hide and Seek... LOL
@PigMainClaudette I do agree with what you've said... But offer a perspective (that you have probably thought of)
Think of this game in more ways- The first 2 are what you have said before (I worded it my way)
1) Survival Horror: Survivors either play like a team or selfishly (for their survival) to complete 2 Objectives ( and 1 if the team fail or a survivor is alone)- 5 gens and 1-2 gates... and resource management
2) Hunting Sim- Killer tracking survivors movements and patterns to get close
3) Hide and Seek- The chase up to the down/ getting away and evading the killer
4) RTS (Real Time Strategy): The perks, items, addons, and offerings are a basic plan but decisions made through out the match can change the outcome
5) [this one might be hard to agree with but...] RPG (Role-Playing Game): Want to be a healer bring a medkit... gen jockey bring a toolbox... Want to be aggressive bring a flashlight... Want to be a "leader" bring a map... Want to be a "lifesaver" bring a key
Want to be Mickey play The Shape... Want to throw hatches play Huntress... Want to be a bounty Hunter from the west play The Deathslinger

Um....
The Saw chapter included two traps. The RBT is a trap with a timer and a key for salvation. The other trap carries the key. It’s still a separate trap though. You have to lock your hands inside a Jigsaw Box. What happening, we can not really see but if the movies indicate anything, your risking injury or being encouraged to exchange blood for access to the key.
The map has iconic rooms, decor, Billy, ect ect. I’m all for asking for more but holy crap, they did a great job with the Saw Franchise IMO.
I agree
Amanda's perks, power, and map fit quite well in the game
But they missed out on more

He would be pretty sick, I hope they'll release some legendarys down the line.
Honestly... I feel like I'd want to see an expansion for the reasons you listed...
The Stranger Things DLC gave us 2 survivors... So why not add more killers and survivors from other licences...
-
Detective Mattews would've been so much better

You missed unrelenting if weapons count.
And Remember Me
-
I only proxy camp during end game (when all gens are done)
And only then cause I have no reason to leave the hook
-
Because he got high........
-
I know right
That's how the hatch should've worked by default
Either spawn hatch but who guess right?
Random chance or dumb luck...
-
I do like the concept.... But I'd have to think of how I'd do it to offer any good advice (rather then just say that it will/won't work)
Also like the others mentioned we do have killers whom do change how chases work at a basic level
-
I play Feng Min... And I feel that I'm the first to die (rather it be by tunnel or my mistakes)
P.S. I'm a terrible survivor btw
-
and Shroud of Binding makes all 4 survivors spawn together
Plus if they're on comms then they will eventually meet up
I like your times for gens... a lot better then mine

Do you mean 4 survivors doing a generator TOGETHER should take 81+ seconds to do while the killer is masturbating on the other side of the map? Do you instead mean you don't want perks like Prove thyself to increase this speed too efficiently?
Currently it is most "efficient" for at most 2 people to be on a generator at a time in most cases due to diminishing returns already (in the absence of Prove thyself especially).
1 survivor = Base 80. 2 Survivors = base 47 seconds. 3 Survivors = base 38 seconds. 4 Survivors = 36 seconds (Meaning having that last person on the generator reduces the total time by a wooping 2 seconds already).
If all 4 survivors are on a gen it's either at the beginning or the end of a match
Also if all 4 survivors are on a gen then that means they have Prove Thy Self and BNP's on strong toolboxes
Also we are talking about SWF's not solos...
If all 4 survivors are on comms then it would make sense to strike gen speeds when ALL 4 SURVIVORS ARE ON ONE GEN
either that or increase regression rates on basic kicks and all regression perks
-
I think that it should be something like this
seeing as it takes one survivor 80 seconds to complete a gen solo
Then all 4 survivors on a gen should take longer due to having multiple people doing the same thing (Same thing as what you said "distracted")
-
It happens to me a lot...
When chase starts
When I swing my weapon
Even Just walking around... I lag 5 steps and lose all the pressure I had (or would've had)
-
I'm all for expanding the licences
For cosmetics and new game mechanics

I want pig to have add-ons that change her RBTs to a different type of trap (like how Freddy can alter her power). Maybe a device alongside hooks where the pig can carry downed survivors and place them in? That would be cool.
I agree...
I think you might be thinking of the Angel Trap (from saw 3 and 4)
Shotgun collar, The pipe trap from SAW 6, RBT 2.0,
Also having different activation conditions

Ok

It would be a new status effect that only The Killer can afflict a Survivor with. I can't think off the top of my head if there any perks that make survivors exhausted? I know there are add-ons. And all survivor perks that are impacted by exhausted would also be affected by fatigued. The main distinction between the two is that exhausted doesn't recover while running but fatigued does. It's basically just a name so that it's clear which version of the status effect you suffer from. Otherwise they would have to create an additional icon to visually distinguish between a version of exhausted that you can recover while running and the existing version where you don't recover.
I think it could work as a difference in effects
Killers apply the Fatigue effect through perks and addons and the survivors get applied with the Exhausted effect through their perks

I think it was in the shrine maybe last year I dont remember, I remember it being on a 2018 that's how I got it even though I have the dlc
Wasn't DS on the shrine like last month?
-
Can I add in The Pig into this... cause I main pig and her Exhaustion addon is (Bad Word) useless
Why would I ever use that addon... I don't chase those whom have a trap on (unless I see an opportunity)
@Nicholas I am interested in the Fatigued status effect... Could you explain how you'd implement it?

I understand that.
For me, DbD has no clear and concise win-loss indicator, so I take this game extremely casually. They all escaped but the match went long enough with enough chases and destruction that I got a decent amount of BP? Cool, good game.
But in Overwatch, when I see DEFEAT after defeat because my teammates feed enemy ults, can't track enemy ult charges, don't know how to turn their camera, and pick someone like McCree but couldn't hit someone five feet in front of them emoting? Yeah, I get a bit irritated.
So true... so players default to 4k's and 4e's to declare a "win"
And every so often the statment of 2k/2e balance comes up even though the game has no real balance

I don't get why people think it's useless...
They do have a purpose, three actually, bragging, intimidating as both roles and being used as stealthier skins for survivors.
Trust me, once you get to level 50 on all your characters, you're gonna want something to grind for...
I have Prestige'd a few Killers but no survivors
I don't feel it necessary to prestige anymore
-
I play fair until I do get hit with DS then it's game on
Or Deliverance/DS combo

Noooooo, we've lost one. Damn you, Billy nerfs!!!
In all seriousness, though, I understand. It sucks when your main gets screwed over like that. I've had it happen to me several times in my 4+ years in Overwatch.
Pig main here
Overwatch and DBD are on parallel lines
Overwatch has been stale for awhile bur with the few newest patches has changed alot
And DBD has ben stale since Plague came out (IMO)
BTW I've been a tank main for 7 seasons And a backup Tracer/Mei

Interesting. My 17-year-old niece is a Survivor main (almost red ranks) and mains Feng. Only survivor she has started the Prestige grind with.
Wow... LOL
I won't be prestiging any survivors (I don't feel the need to)
And I'm far from Red Ranks... LOL
-
I know... I feel like BHVR had left us consoles behind for awhile now
But with Crossplay All of the issues are exposed to all

Feng Min
she's the only survivor I have level 50

Tier 1 Michael has no terror radius that's why he has the undetectable in tier 1.
Ok I was only going by in game stats
TY
-
It's small... like almost facecamping small
Also I think Myers TR in T1 is 6m... Going off of the in game TR (which is basically undetectable... also why he has it in T1)
-
Survivor: Kindred and Spine Chill... Both are good but it's fair to say I can't play without them both
Killer: Corrupt and Whispers... I rely on whispers to know when I'm around survivors and Corrupt for gen delay... i can lay without them but only certain killers
-
Devotion levels should only represent overall time in the game not determine skill
Now if they added a leveling system for survivors and killers they should repersent time on either side you play on would be cool
Like I spent more time playing killer then playing survivor and have reached level 62 devotion 2 (I think) also have about 700 hours play time
MMR/ rank should represent things that matter during a match:
For killers: Finding, downing, hooking and killing survivors as quickly and effectively as possible while keeping gen porgress to a minimum
For survivors: locating and repairing gen as quickly and effectively as possible while healing, saving, and keeping the killer from disrupting gen progress
Also survivors also (would) have bonuses for having long chases, time spent repairing gens and saving/healing teammates
Also Keys and Moris = gain less but lose more
Anyway that's my take on it...
-
As far as I can know...
16 seconds for syringe to take effect... but getting hit nullifies it
15 seconds to get full effect of BNP but lose it if you miss one of the 2 skillchecks for a total of 25% of gen progress
-
Also Bloodhound helps
Whispers too... Just being around survivors will help
-

Just for fun, you can only pick from:
Survivor - Dark Sense, Déjà Vu, Hope, Kindred, Lightweight, No One Left Behind, Plunderer’s Instinct, Premonition, Resilience, Slippery Meat, Small Game, Spine Chill, This Is Not Happening, We’ll Make It.
Killer - Bitter Murmur, Deerstalker, Distressing, Hex: No One Escapes Death, Hex: Thrill of The Hunt, Insidious, Iron Grasp, Monstrous Shrine, Sloppy Butcher, Spies From The Shadows, Unrelenting, Whispers.
What’s your build? And why?
Survivor: Kindred, Spine Chill, We'll make it... and maybe small game (Kindred cause it's a good perk for seeing what killer does after a hook) (Spine Chill have a better sense of what the killer's doing and might finish a gen before the killer get to me) (We'll Make It for the healing speed after an unhook) (Small Game for totems)
Killer: Sloppy, Unrelenting, Whispers... and maybe Bitter Murmur (Sloppy delay healing "just a little bit") (Unrelenting faster recovery for missing- for 360's lol) (Whispers for general game awarness) (Bitter Murmur for aura reading)
-
Same for me... playing survivor has allowed me to laugh in game (first time in awhile that was genuine)

Second Chance perks can be fairly quickly summarised as
"Whoops I made a mistake. Luckily this perk gives me a chance to make up for my mistake"
Perks that give you a second chance.
Dead hard? Ah I ######### up this loop letting the killer get close enough to hit me before I reach the pallet/window. Luckily Dead Hard can fix that.
Unbreakable, Damn the killer downed me and is leaving me on the ground to go for my team mates. Luckily Unbreakable gives me and possibly my team a second chance.
Borrowed Time. Oops I started unhooking next to the killer (either by mistake, the killers camping or I did this intentionally to "abuse" my perks function because I know the killer either slugs/tunnels the target off hook). Borrowed time gives my unhooked ally a second chance and undoes my poor unhooking "mistake".
etc etc
Ok... Thanks
But that's not what I'd call "second chance"... I'd say that those are hook delay perks
Except Dead Hard would be a chase extending perk
But to each their own

Honestly if I could suggest one thing for each problem it would be this.
1) If you're going to put a lot of restrictions on a perk make it worth the restrictions. If the perk could easily lose its power make sure that the reward is strong enough to have it worth having it be potentially removed.
Devour hope- is conditions and restrictions done right.
Restriction- being 24 m away from the hook.
Condition- power creep is based on tokens
Limiter- Hex can be destroyed
Reward- insane amount of snowball potential from a speed Boost to insta downs to moris.
2) Honestly this is super easy buff these perks in their specific jobs and make them really strong in those specific categories. It shouldn't be outclassed by a universal perk at doing its job.
It's sad to say but I can't really think of anything that's a prime example of it being done right even though I'm a dedicated user of niche perks
3) Just like with the number two the solution is easy if you don't have any control over whether and activates or not make sure that it's strong enough to be worth it.
Take haunted grounds for example
You have no control over whether someone destroys that Totem however once it is destroyed even if you're not in a position to get it down it put everybody on edge.
Healthy survivors in chases will start throwing pallets down like mad. People go completely immersed the psychological impact of just having that one shot potential can be devastating.
Another good example would be tinkerer even if you're not in the position to get to that gen fast enough your new found stealth capabilities can easily allow you to to get in there and get a sneaky hit
TL;DR (sorry I'm on moble RN)
Brutal Strength:
Adds bonus regression on kicking gens (like new Ruin but on a kicked fan) up to 200%
-
What second chance perks....
What does second chance really mean????
-
Good for you... I may not be a Doc main but can offer basic tips for doc
Yes he can be... just know that there's a delay between the shock hitting the survivor and them being affected by it
The longer the loop the more likely it is to break the pallet and move on... (but don't try mindgaming every pallet... get the survivors thinking that you'll break the pallet then get them with fake)
Whispers is God tier on him... let's you know when to use static blast to start the match
The calm series of addons are good on him as well
But the one thing I can say is... play your way... learn on your time and pacing let experience teach you more then watch someone else do it
