  • If they cared about the community they would make the Switch version a lot more enjoyable to play. Not that I can play because over the last 48 hours I queue on and off for an hour and don't get a game as killer or survivor.

The Nintendo switch version is dying bhvr, do something about it even if you have to give it the mobile version graphics to run properly.

  • They said 'this concludes the survivor/killer meeting for today' which means they ended the meeting at the end of the post *ding ding*

  • *ding ding* it's the wraiths job to call the meeting to a close *ding ding*

  • A lot of us have been asking for a change to lessen the grind and all bhvr has done is made 4 perks spawn in the bloodweb, 2 of these you can't get due to the entity taking them.

Hopefully they give us a nice surprise around the 5th anniversary letting us know that after the event all perk tiers shall be removed. I won't hold my breath though.

  • Tunnelling does equal gen rushing to me. I will play fair but if I think the gens are going too fast someone definitely needs to be taken out of the game.

  • @van9684 said:

I swear bhvr rewards you more for playing awful. I just had a round where I did 4 out of 5 gens, which is not my usual okay style. I escaped and de-pipped lol. My teammates who were getting hooked and downed got more points but did nothing for objective. Just something I noticed. Is it that bad for killer too?

I'm completely the opposite and find it too easy to rank up, you don't have to do much between rank 20 to rank 12. Rank 11 to rank 8 you just have to hook everyone once and maybe one sacrifice. The rest of purple 1 sacrifice, kick a few gens, pallets and breakable walls, hit a few people and maybe someone on 2 hooks. Red ranks is harder.

That's my experience with killer ranking up.

  • No thank you, it's bad enough a dc hurts the killer. It should count as all hook states and give stacks if the perks require them and punish the survivors since it's supposed to be a team game on their part.

I want that bp and it will be stolen match after match, I think a lot would stop playing killer.

  • I think it's the thought of people not buying dlc on that platform. If bhvr cut a deal saying chapters must be bought on that platform before being played they may compromise on auric cells. The characters would be greyed out on a console without buying the dlc.

I know Sony are a business, not a charity, but their slogan is 'for the players'. More like for our wallets.

  • I can't remember what map it was but I was being chased and I got stuck near the killer shack door, led to a down.

  • This must have been what happened in my trial yesterday but I was killer and couldn't catch her. I thought she had hacked so, trying to look on the positive side, I'm glad it's just a bug.

    I can't remember of I was on series x or ps5 though.

  • People are voting but not explaining the reasons for their votes. Please tell me, and hopefully bhvr if they read this, why you voted for the choice you picked.

  • If you negate perks when regressing the gen with tentacles then that negates his own perk, eruption.

I think a slightly wider tentacle strike, being able to infect and injure a survivor at the same time or something worthwhile. It shouldn't be too crazy like one hit downs though as the rate he tiers will be nerfed or will be like tier 3 myers on a timer, without iri add on that is.

I voted buffed another way but it didn't show in my message.

  • I would like to play with people around my skill level. If players are good enough to beat the best players they should verse them. I am in no way good enough but get them fairly often as I get into red ranks.

I like the idea of sbmm and it can't get here soon enough imo.

  • This is obviously a post from someone who must win every game and t-bag and click a flashlight everytime the killer is close. If the team loses there will be no faulting the op on their performance in the trial at all as they did everything correctly.

As a killer there will be no misses at all with the swings and every match below a 4k is an utter defeat. The survivors will never use the perks as intended because the op will never let them.

Op is perfection personified, the king/queen of all role models for the game and everyone must follow their example.

This post comes across as toxic to me, or even more so as though you are scolding a child. We all cannot remember every single perk and add ons that has and will ever exist, the meta ones yes, the powerful ones yes, the average ones are a good possibility but not guaranteed. The junk ones not worth anything but a meme build, forgettable. All the info will be in our minds but some of them we may not be able to recall, especially the newer ones until we get used to them and imprint them into our minds.

Maybe Claudette did know but was just acting dumb to either get you riled up, which obviously worked, or was sour that she lost that she blanked it from her mind.

We can't all be gods at the game like you and neither should we be expected to be. A lot of people play for fun, not for 4ks or escapes every match, not training to be part of a pro team. Escapism and fun is all a lot require to enjoy the game.

    End of rant

  • Were any of the doors open before the hook happened?

If not he may have had the add on that blocks exit gates once opened for 15 seconds. It's an iridescent add on.

  • I agree his tier three needs to be made more worthwhile to get however I don't want it so strong, such as one hit downs, that it becomes a timer mechanic like myers tier 3 without iri add on.

A slightly wider tentacle strike and being able to infect and injure at the same time would be enough for me.

I’m just saying they are never going to change it, and it’s probably not useful discussing it. So you might as well adapt. This is like going onto the WoW forums and complaining you need to grind to level 60 or something.

But the difference here is you can get everything you need to play the game pretty quickly. Like the survivors are just cosmetics, and nobody really uses more than a few perks on them most of the time beyond the super vets with like 5,000+ hours who could go into games perkless anyways.

Only the killers actually really need good perks, and there’s only like 6-8 perks worth using for them as well. Everything else is just garbage there’s no reason to use. So who cares if you need to grind for stuff you don’t need?

The problem is you could be in your 65th bloodweb before the perks you want start showing up. I must be over my 70th now to get discordence on nemesis on ps5. Got them all fairly quickly on xbox but that's because I have less shared perks on that system.

You need to stop defending BHVR, it literally takes 1.5k hours to get every perk on every killer and every perk on 1 survivor. That's not even with Prestige. It is ridiculous.

I'm not defending them at all. I said they are ignoring the older players and need to hear the problems from the players they balance around, the newer ones.

I don't like the grind how it is and said they will end up losing a lot of the newer players they gain.

I appreciate your perspective, and I think I would have stuck with it longer, but I saw where this train was going.

I am actually totally receptive to grinding, but there has to be something more reasonable/less RNG than the current system. I still find it really troubling that a small percentage of players seem to want to gate content behind tons of hours of gameplay. Seems counterintuitive to inviting new players in.

I admit, I'm probably too new to really propose specific improvements. But I am confident there has to be a better way.

Maybe they need to hear it from a new player since this is what they are basing the balancing of the game on. The older players have been trying to communicate the problems about the grind and in a lot of cases just being ignored.

They did add 3 perks passed lvl40 and 4 passed lvl50 however they are still very rng based and you can guarantee that 9 times out of 10 the second perk you want the entity will grab, possibly leaving you with 2 perks you will never use as options.

As more dlc gets released the grind gets worse.

  • I was the same as you, totally up for the grind when I first started. Just like you, and countless others, the tedium of the grind possibly started to show within the first 100 hours for many others, probably not all though. It did however take me longer to get sick of it, maybe 200-300 hours, and a lot of new players are going to be initially drawn in then get bored of it when they come to the same realisation.

Bhvr think it's the grind that keeps players coming back to the game, in some respects a small part of that is correct, but as it is now people will some of those new players will leave.

Yes, bhvr would have gotten their money from what the bought however will also lose future revenue from them too.

They should make it easier to get perks and for those that want the grind, make more prestige options available with proper incentive to entice others to maybe at least want to try prestiging too.

But you could be in another game earning more BP than having to be afk on that horrible map😂

I don't afk anymore. I used to to derank but more survivors around my skill level get to red ranks. It used to be I could never beat any red rank hence the afk. No matter the map now I will try my best even if my best is not good enough.

I prefer haddonfield to midwich. Oh, how I do so hate midwich as both killer and survivor.

  • I have had it a few times today and everything was fine. Just because I have not been affected though does not mean no problems exist, I may just be lucky.

Edit - Sorry, just re-read your post, I thought you meant the game disconnects you :p I never dc off any map no matter how badly I'm losing though. I want those few bp I've earned lol.

  • Main female survivor was Kate, changing to Claire if her face is fixed.

Main male is Steve, possibly Chris but not made up my mind yet. Since I paid for the skin though I probably will decide to Main him.

Main killer is hard because I play so many. It would be a coin toss between wraith and freddy but, depending on nerfs and being a huge zombie fanboy, may main nemesis until Chucky (if he ever comes into the game)

  • Ouch, my head is hurting and confused... Too much mathematics! Thanks for working it out though, I wouldn't have the patience to do so even with a calculator lol.

  • All I got out of this post is 'the killer can hit me, please nerf so I can t-bag and escape'. Only joking lol.

I find him fun to play as and against, loving the zombies but wish there was an add on for more. His tentacle has a very narrow hitbox, and his hitbox is not a huge square like huntress, so it's a little easier to avoid.

I don't think he needs nerfing, maybe a little buff to widen the tentacle strike at tier 3.

  • Why thank Scott? The people on the forums have been making multiple posts a day complaining about the grind for ages, a lot longer than that video.

I agree the grind is ridiculous now though and only getting worse with each new dlc with nothing being done to rectify this. Something needs to be done now bhvr.

  • Hold on. Have I not just responded to this post lol.

  • No, you won't get banned however I find it a sadistic play on the killers part and can't stand it myself. Killers who do this have no right to complain about toxic survivors and vice versa.

  • I don't understand why survivors always get notified of status such as exposed, hex in play, undetectable but it's OK because that gen that is yellow just needs to be tapped etc. Why aren't killers given the same notifications for survivors or gens with the exception of the perk that blocks the gen from being kicked.

Killers should be able to see the mines and to be given as much info that survivors are given on killers.

  • I always like to prestige during the events, got 3 to p3 50 in the last anniversary one and another to p2 50. Granted 2 of the p3 ones were already P2 before prestiging them.

  • 4 man swf, 1 perk each, no items can be brought into trial.

3 man swf, 2 perks each.

2 man swf, 3 perks each.

  • Only if you had a solo only option. SWF can be a pain with the perks I like to use, don't want to face them with useless perks. As for the addons can you imagine getting scratch mirror myers with Judith's tombstone and bad perks.

That been said though, seeing streamers use perk roulette did make me want to see that system implemented.

There could be daily challenges designed for this mode only to help get more bp.

  • It must have been more than a month since I last saw a Hillbilly. If he wasn't amongst my killer choices on killer selection screen I would have forgotten he existed.

  • I skipped 4, 5, 6 and I'm on the bp grind trying to get all p3 killers, even though I'm all over these forums complaining about the grind. I'ma hypocrite I know lol.

  • I only tunnel survivors with keys or if I have no deaths at 2 gens remaining. If I hook someone on second hook and they get unhooked when I'm nearby they being tunnelled. If the game is going at a steady pace though I try to play fair.

As survivor I am terrible in chases but fantastic at holding r1/rb whilst periodically pressing L1/Lb and, unless I run totem finding perks, I don't know if there are any totems left to find later in the game so why come off the only objective I have unless it's for a unhook or heal.

If you get the smarter survivors 4 seperated on 4 gens or 2 on 2 gens, there may be a moment were 2 or more gens pop at once. Unless you get a 3 gen this sort of gen rushing is hard, but not impossible, to beat. The killer is not a big enough threat so if the gen is at 99% you can guarantee most will take the hit to finish it, possibly straight into adrenaline which I hate to see.

  • As survivor I get a lot of players disconnecting, at least one per match, sometimes 2. As killer I don't often see a dc except a match I had yesterday where 2 players were running at double speed and at least one repairing gens within 20 seconds. I know that because there were 3 left, a double speed one trying to get my attention and one I was chasing, the other went from 0% progress to 100% in less than 30 seconds.

It ended with the 2 left and one of them was injured and tried blinding me in the exit gate. She got the blind but was not stood close enough to the exit so I got the down. I picked her up then she dc'd lol.

  • Just the way you're wording it makes it sound like a cult recruitment campaign.

Is existing enough to make you want to live in real life? Why don't you want to get away from it completely? Problems that make you run disappear that same instant when you play the game. Don't you want to live without problems? Do you simply hope for something in reality? Do you fuel your life with that tiny hope? Sounds more like torture, doesn't it?

You're starting to sound like a creepy cult leader lol.

  • Because I suffer with chronic back pain and long term mental health issues, not going to go into details. I can't do much movement due to my back and the escapism the game gives me mentally helps to take my mind away from the mental health issues for a while.

That's why I play the game.

  • Hatch does not spawn until 1 gen, 2 people left.

Takes 5 charges to open, 5 seconds, full base purple key without addons.

Once the key user jumps through the hatch closes and cannot be opened without another key unless final gen.is done and it opens like normal.

Keys cannot spawn in chests, killers can't find random mori's.

This is what it should be until the full on change bhvr does with keys imo.

  • No, they should be tied to perks like hex totems. Survivors shouldn't get extra bonuses through totems.

  • They are trying to follow the horror tropes so shouldn't it be 3 kills with a final girl/guy escaping?

  • The maps are actually free, you can still play on the map if you have not bought the dlc when it's re-enabled. You are just paying for nemesis, Jill and Leon.

  • Getting a nice message sent through to me after the game ends. To be honest it only amounts to maybe 5% compared to 95% hate though.

  • Although I think his tier 3 needs a bit of a buff, maybe a slightly wider tentacle strike, hits infect and damage survivors or something like that, but not as strong as a one hit down, I still find him fun to play as. I consider him an average killer, not too weak and not too strong for now.

Yes, he should definitely not give a speed boost for infecting survivors.

  • As long as the doors were open to killers too then that's fair. Both opening doors and the hatch should consume charges though.

  • If I'm running bond or kindred and one survivor is dead and the second had just been third hooked and see a survivor just hanging around in a corner doing nothing I will sandbag if I get found.

Bond is best for this obviously, maybe they could hear the heartbeat and hiding temporarily until it goes away. If this is the case fine but if they stay around that spot not doing anything or camping hatch I will try and bring the killer to them in a chase. Two people on seperate gens is better than only one on one gen.

If I'm playing killer and someone intentionally sandbags though, I will kill the non team player. I don't mean accidentally running to someone on a gen, I mean pointing at lockers when someone is in there or fast vaulting repeatedly near people working on a gen. I can only punish them if I know which one was doing it in that case though.

I understand that. I want to play with him a bit more in the future, but the low skill ceiling lowers the appeal for me.

I love the ability to come after survivors from completely unexpected angles, but I prefer killers who have a power that changes the gameplay from the basic "M1 killer but slightly different," and his snares and pallets just aren't cutting it for me.

I see the appeal, but Doc with Order and Calm can fill almost any role he can.

If they brought old Freddy back with a couple buffs, I would definitely play him a lot.

Even though I like new Freddy all old Freddy needed in my opinion was to halt the survivors repairing or cleansing when being pulled into the dream world. The amount of time they had to finishing cleansing a totem or finish the gen during the transition period was his big weakness to me.

  • @glitchboi said:

I don't think it'll even affect SWF to begin with.

Anyways, don't nerf SWF, horrible idea. Why punish survivors for playing with friends?

Once MMR is perfectly ready to release, we'll have to buff killers to compensate.

With that reasoning why punish killers for playing alone? I know not all survive with friends are complete sweatfest groups and I do love the absolutely altruistic swf as a killer. Also the ones who have a brand new player to the game, someone invited me to a voice chat on xbox a while ago, I thought here comes the flaming, but no. They were telling me how terrified their friend was as my myers just stared at her and they were shouting at her to run lol.

I make that point because I agree some swf are just out to have fun but the sweatiest ones really ruin the killers fun and a game is about having fun, not raising your blood pressure and stress levels.

I think killers should get a bp bonus dependent on how many people are in a swf group, 25% per player, and survivors should get 25% extra per solo queue survivors, including themselves.

  • I definitely agree about the grind and new players. If they are anything like I was it will be 'wow, look at all these characters I can level up' turning to 'I'm getting really tired of the perks I want waiting until the 65th bloodweb to turn up'.

One 1.5 or double bp event per month would be nice, preferably the weekend after reset.

I was really looking forward to breakable walls but was disappointed with them. They covered doorways that used to be open, made some loops stronger. I thought they would be placed in new stronger positions but I was wrong.
