Solo queue isn´t as bad as you make it sound. Most of the time i get competent teammates. Sure, sometimes you get rage quit suicides. But thats just how it is, since there isn´t a real punishment for this. Killers usually don´t go full tryhard when that happens (exceptions apply).
We must play different people then.
I wish I got more chill matches with competent teammates. I suppose we can't expect MMR to be consistent when we sit in our 7-10 minute Survivor queues, can we?

You can and that is exactly the reason why this game is tilted toward one side, one side is 100% nurse and another is like 5% nurse, lul
So every Survivor is competent and is blessed with good RNG?
There aren't any Bubba's forcing 2K+'s?

Ummm I mean it's less about the cheater bots and more about the unfun matchmaking with real people mixed with performance issues for me so I'm currently really enjoying playing this.
Same.
Me and the boys have been enjoying it a ton
-
Test 1 was great for me. Good teammates as Survivor, plus a good Killer made for fun matches. On the Killer side, good Survivors but nothing super insane. No map offerings, but smart players.
Day 2 and 3 were horrific sweatfests. Day 2 was more inconsistent but was still really sweaty. CONSTANT map offerings and Survivors running the exact same builds. Played the same people a lot too. Felt like the first weeks of MMR

I could turn it around and say something like "this game is extremely survivor sided to the point they can even choose to play with ridiculous restriction like playing with randos and have no communication at all"
You could. It would be a bad argument, since I could turn it around and say, "Any Killer who doesn't play Nurse with four slowdown's and omega-blink is knowingly restricting themselves to a ludicrous degree" but you could definitely make that poor argument.
-
I did. I played Killer from 9 PM - 3 AM for years.
I do not let it blind me when it comes to other issues. Killer is a stressful, miserable and all-together unfun experience when Survivors are competent. The simple fact is, Survivors aren't always competent.
Killer being a poor experience shouldn't dissuade people from talking about how miserable Solo Q is, for example.
-
It's because he absolutely obliterates new Survivors, just like Pig.

Just tweak the rate - it can stay at 7 stacks, but fills up much faster.
Hmm.
I'm surprised you didn't mention her 100 second TV cooldown. If Survivors are gonna be doing tapes more often, I might knock that down a lot.

They can play with the rate, but I think the 7 stacks corresponds to the whole '7 days' thing.
Maybe but I think it's sort of silly to let that stop her from having a viable ability.
-
Seems fine to me, I might just make Condemned instant down at 5 stacks instead.
-
He's figured it out.
Was you getting facecamped really a good play on your part?
-
Lmao ######### anyone who has more than 2 friends i guess?
The actual solution is to buff Solo Q and certain Killers to be at a SWF-level

Okay one sec, so survivors aren't supposed to wiggle out? Wouldn't that make the game pointless? I don't think that a hook or wiggling out should be guaranteed, but are you suggesting that survivors shouldn't have a chance? I never walk into a match expecting a 4k.
No, you aren't supposed to wiggle out unless the Killer gets greedy or your team bodyblocks.
The wiggle mechanic is really only here to punish greedy Killers and allow for coordinated teams to bodyblock hooks. The game isn't pointless if you can't wiggle out, you just get hooked. I'm not really sure where you're getting the suggestion that Survivors shouldn't have a chance
-
You aren't supposed to wiggle out.
The wiggle mechanic is designed to prevent Killers from basement hooking on every down. Iron Grasp + Agitation just extends that range.
-
It's useless and they can't even really buff it.
The 2% will stay but they might give it a secondary effect
-
it's frieza

The bots have sort of obvious names.
It was either someone with wallhacks or it was a bot.

pretty sure last 30 days on a rotating schedule of 30 days not just the new months buildup, so the last 30 days always involves the last 30 days even if it overlaps with a previous months numbers. So it would include march 3rd to april 2nd today, not just april 1st and 2nd
But March still shows an average loss of nearly 2K players, if you're theory is correct that would mean that there's some really funky numbers going on.
You can even clearly see that it's basing it off of the March number and up until 3 days ago, the March number and last 30 days were exactly the same.

I have no idea :c
I think maybe they can't lunge as well as a person tho? So maybe you can greed loops a little more than usual? idk
Damn.
Maybe some sort of strat will be developed to use against the bots.
It's supposedly BHVR's code, it can't be perfect, surely.

If it’s not relevant to the thread and you’re going to derail it, no?
it’s a simple suggestion in aid to block campers, cheaters, disconnects or a casual playlist would be a nice start.
No need for anyone to be hostile etc, just here for a chill discussion on the subject :)
It's a common new player suggestion.
It's a fine suggestion it just doesn't work.

It's just that sometimes you don't wanna play a certain game, and teammates keep unhooking you and it is frustrating since you can't DC !
You can DC, you'll just get a 5 minute penalty.
Unless it's just you don't play against certain Killers and want to screw over your team by leaving early.
-
Oh, you'll get bots alright.

Yep. The AI also knows where you are at all times, so you can't hide from it. Best option? Run directly into and just die asap to move onto the next game.
Me and the guys have gotten hit by two tonight.
Any particular strat we can use to avoid them/possibly abuse bugs in their coding?
-
Hey so I don't know if I'm reading it wrong but "last thirty days" is only counting the days since march 31st.

I do not debate over stats that neither of us has.
Fact is, Legion remains one of the most hated killers in the game. And "new players" have NO reason to hate him, so your stats indicate they are not correct due to the hate he gets continuously from Legion PTSD.
If all those players are gone, then why is "Old Legion" still comoplained about, pretty much daily in all DBD forums?
Dont answer, tbh I dont have any desire to debate this because the hate is visible, the stats are hidden.
I haven't seen many people complain.
Certainly seen people be concerned over him returning. Likewise, Forums tend to attract the veteran players not the new ones. Your viewpoint is heavily skewed towards people who WERE there.
The Forums make up a tiny percentage of the community

@DrDeepwound said:

95% of stats posted in threads are completely made up.
Maybe.
We all know DBD has an extremely low retention rate and people get burnt out quickly. Out of the 20K players who were there when Legion released on PC, how many do you think are here today especially after the disaster that was Darkness AMONG US?
It might not be 95%, but the majority of players playing then are not playing now. That's not exactly a stretch
-
@DrDeepwound said:
You will notice one major thing when it comes to Legion threads,... people have PTSD from him, they hate him. They want him removed from the game basically. The changes made to Legion were simply punishment to please the masses when he was gutted. No changes will be accepted by that majority, they are fueled by their own trauma and simply despise the killer in general.
They do not even think rationally about these changes, and the people working on him behind the scenes, probably werent even around when he was punsihed with these nerfs so they see them as how he is.
95% of players playing DBD today didn't play when old Legion released,

At this point you really need next gen console to play the game without any issues. I played on Xbox one X for a long time and bought a series X a few months ago and it's 100 times better. Still isn't perfect but it feels significantly better to play.
If they are selling the game on Xbox One and PS4, it should WORK on Xbox One and PS4.
I did not think this was too much to ask for.
@topic yes, console performance has remained an issue despite our best efforts. BHVR has assured us they are working on it. Whether or not you believe them is up to you.

The thing about sabos is that you have to time them just right, otherwise I'll drop and probably down you too. These days I'm actually quite happy to see a sabo-happy player, because even if it works once, all it takes is a single mistake and you've lost the game.
Yeah, it's great if a teammate has it.
Huge aura reading range.

Mm. I think that the fact my experience was essentially the opposite demonstrates that 'day 2' was the sweet spot.
Day 1 was bedlam. I went from complete newbies to a 4000 hour bully squad. Queues almost instant. It felt like ranks again - which will be fun for veterans looking for chill (see: easier) games, but not so much fun for everyone else.
Day 2 felt great. Most of the matches I had, win or lose were quite close. It felt like I was facing off against people with a level of skill/experience close to mine - and the hours bore that out (only one player with substantially more hours than me, none with substantially less).
Day 3 felt the most even - but the queue times got a bit silly.
There was one outlier on Day 1 for me. Nurse that took us to Midwich and slugged us to death. Other than that, good Survivors but nothing super crazy. They made mistakes, but they weren't stupid.
Day 2 was totally inconsistent for me. We had very experienced groups and then Killers with two yellow perks.
Day 3 was awful. Didn't see anyone under 3K hours, nor did they seem particularly inclined to allow for a fun match.
-
Should it is different from can it.
Should it be buffed? Yes, it's a weak perk.
Can it be buffed? Not by a number change.
-
Definitely a sigma male move

I didn't play survivor that day so maybe my results were highly skewed
I found Day 1 to be great as Survivor.
Good Killers and good teammates.
-
The first day felt awesome. Had some really good games as Survivor and as Killer.
Day 2 wasn't horrible. It was really hit and miss. Sometimes the games were chill and not sweaty, other times they were atrocious.
Day 3 was horrible. Constant map offerings, very experienced Survivors, same perks. Felt like the first couple weeks of MMR.
-
Day 1 was great.
Day 2 was...inconsistent.
Day 3 was horrible. Reminded me of the early days of MMR, sweatiest of sweats

Kinda lazy tbh :(. Sorry.
It is similar to other short freezes. When someone cures their infection and I get the notification, freezes happen.
It's alright.
I just like having videos. My Xbox One quit on me after a long time so I'd have to steal the One X from my brother for a game or two if I want my own clips.

Oh, good.
More us vs them

Anyone alive?
Started playing nemmy a little bit and killer instinct is causing freezes left and right on last gen.
I probably shouldnt have reported it because I will just get roasted for playing on last gen still, meanwhile elden ring zero freezes zero frame drops.
Anyone who has performance issues on any platform is free to post it on here.
Elden Ring is very very well optimized.
Can you post any clips?

I haven't seen her in the last 3 days.

I think people have made a much bigger deal about that than it is. When I play boons go up 2 to 3 times before they stop. It also wastes a lot of time to do that, so I would prefer people not boon after the nerf.
It saves an incredible amount of time to put CoH up.
It invalidates half of the Killer roster and if people can't see that it's fine, less people using CoH.
-
@SunsetSherbet said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2878527#Comment_2878527
The problem is that such a move is a nerf to all boons, and CoH is the only actual strong one currently. So, you could do it, but you'd likely need to buff the other boons to compensate. I'm not sure something like dark theory is worth bringing at all if it gets permanently removed after one use or something.
Then only stick a cooldown on CoH
-
Probably.
There are a lot more Killer issues than Survivor issues, it's natural that people would want to try to get some good changes done.

Could be. Blight's definitely easier, got some really fun Killers on the 28th and 29th, less so today.
We did see a Twins player two days ago. I have still been keeping stats and this is the 3rd Twins in over 512 games.
