And don't get caught first, and get a safe unhook... yeah, no problem! 😀
If you run Deliverance, you will get hooked first.
It's simply a rule.

Had the same problem until I started running kindred permanently.
Simply run Deliverance.

You guys are getting unhooked?

Wait, you're just a little Victor? Based off a few certain comments I assumed you were at least on the wrong end of 20 like me at least..
Oh, I'm on the wrong end of twenty alright.
Meaning I'm not even twenty

I wouldn't have guessed that -- you carry yourself as being much older (meant as a compliment). You tend to have well-stated opinions, are respectful even with those who disagree with you, your posts show little in the way of any bias and have an understanding of the bigger picture of the game, and you show a level of maturity in your posts overall.
Thank you!
I try my best

I don't know. The way you discuss and argument I would have put you around 20, give or take. I'm pretty sure there are several 12 years old roaming here. (Also a guess from the way they express themselves.)
Not too far off, but I'm definitely younger.

Are we doing this? Necromancy is a forbidden art.
Ah well ...
I'm not old either. I'm probably among the less young here though.
I was certainly on the younger side when I started playing.
I'm still probably one of the younger one's on the Forums too.
-
I find this thread vaguely interesting so....
I am not old.
-
Agreed.
Legion's fundamental flaws are still there. He is still one of the least enjoyable experiences in DBD.

Here's your reward for that accomplishment. Now you match the P3 Titans of this game.
It's unfortunate that it's accomplished little in what I set out to do.
-
???
-
I ran into a squad last night who did that and then hit me off afterwards.
I don't know if it's an exploit, it depends on whether or not you're supposed to be able to hook people after you down them.
-
Demo is stronger. Dredge has, functionally, no anti-loop ability. Demogorgon has one of the stronger anti-loop abilities.
I think they're both about equal on the fun aspect.
-
Agreed

Hmmm.
Killswitch.
(find one on RPD please!)

They are actively encouraging it with the incoming changes. It is even easier to tunnel and camp than ever before.
Which is unfortunate

why even change the system tbh it looks worst and longer to do
just make it simple. You unlock all tiers when you get to 40 end off.
also the sparkles are a re-used texture from the tomes

Nope. Don't talk for everyone. Flashlight clicks give me only positives, it is free "Infectious Fright", I always know where survivor is and from which side.
If flickering images hurt someone, they shouldn't play this game, and nothing wrong with that, I gave example in previous comment.
But if someone's ego hurt (and they are too cowards to acknowledge it), then they should suffer and there's no place for them in the game.
What an awful take.
We aren't talking about clicking the flashlight a couple times a second. That's fine.
We are talking about binding the flashlight to the scroll wheel or using a macro to click it hundreds if not thousands of times per second. There are absolutely zero benefits from keeping that in-game.
You will get the exact same info from people clicking a couple times per second.
It should 1000% be removed.

Then the very least, BHVR should add warning at the start screen to avoid any sue issues. DbD has lots of flickering images, repeating sounds and disturbing content. Sensitive people should have a warning and not playing the game. Like I don't eat food I'm alergic to, or doing sport that I can't after a trauma.
So yeah, the only thing devs should do is place warning on start screen.
Why SHOULD they keep it though?
It offers nothing except negatives.

Everyone who is camping is big noob for me, especially people who play with chainsaw or Michael Mayers with one shot and camp all time. That reminds me one name I remember some pc player name Bolt, only camp with Michael Mayers and one shot, no skills at all and bot movement. Good killer is not camper and depending on one shot only
You will learn in time that, whilst seemingly accurate now, that opinion isn't really correct.

And it's harmful how? Just curious.
People who are even slightly photosensitive can be affected.
Likewise, even if you aren't, they can trigger headaches.
-
If you have more than 0 minutes on either side, you aren't getting the best DBD experience
-
@EvilSerje said:
Eh... You're ok? You are talking about removing flashlight clicks or I didn't understand?
Flashlight clickers is the best what I could ask as a killer.
Talking about limiting how many times you can click per second.
Macro's and scroll wheel flashlights are potentially harmful and should go.
-
@socalfusions said:
Lmao bro is crying about macro clickers when killers are camping/tunneling casual players out of the game and making them decide to drop the game entirely, bet he's still gonna cry about macros next update when killers got 10% better everything and casual solo que players get destroyed even more until none want to play the game anymore.
What a terrible take
-
I haven't found it particularly difficult, but you can always wait for Rank Reset.
-
I've been observing this thread since it's original posting.
While this change does benefit me immensely, because I have many Killers P3'd, it will not help those who need it most; the new players. It may even make the grind significantly more difficult than it was, which is unacceptable.
The entire grind overhaul, prestige rework and P3 rewards have been extremely underwhelming, to say the absolute least. If I were to be as critical as I want to be, I'd suggest BHVR go back to the drawing board for all three of those things.
-
@Cryptikk said:
why were they all hush hush and kinda building some mystery for a crappy snapchat filter? How is that worth it?
It's not.

Because it was a last minute re-used texture.

How about after prestige 9, you get a base head cosmetic for that character that grows very slightly larger with each subsequent prestige?

I've been playing since just before Clown.
I am not even average at Survivor. It could be worse XD

Some of the Glyphs are a pain.
If I see someone stop to do a Glyph, I'll almost always let them finish it, barring a few situations.

That's a console problem, not a DBD problem. DBD PC doesn't really have filter options either we use 3rd party software to do it like Nvidia
It can be a huge advantage to people on PC and it can also help people with certain health issues iirc.
That should be available in the base-game.

I dunno. I think the distaste for it has been pretty unanimous. If they were willing to change GF's music because of community outcry I think they'll be open to changing what essentially amounts to a GIF pasted over the portraits.
Yeah, nobody likes the re-used texture "reward"
Also, there should be a reward (skin) for P100.
-
I have no idea.
I see a lot of people using filters because the game offers basically zero options.
Sure would like to have those on console...
-
If you want to kill the game, go ahead and remove SWF.
Almost every team is beatable. Fun? Maybe not.
Your opinion is wrong.

Massive W for you for trying to be a good person.

I'm starting to feel the brunt of some of these latency hits, it's like the server can't handle the load from the event. At this point I'm not even waiting for my first step after a vault to think I was clear, I wait for the 'thunk' noise as the killer hits the wall. So many times where I get two entire steps from the window after a successful fast fault and I still go down.
Yeah, there's only so many times I can handle this in a night. I wouldn't play it if I knew the Killer had high ping.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:

This will probably not be possible.
There are people playing without any possibility to have a Server nearby. So Hit Validation needs to be quite generous, because otherwise those players would never get any hits. (Which makes Hit Validation pointless if you are unable to provide Servers to everyone)
So showing the Ping in the Lobby is the best solution.
The other solution is to add more servers.
Adding a ping indicator will be the easiest solution.

@humanbeing1704 said:
If I can recall couldn't you see killer ping in peer to peer days
That was a long time ago, but I think so.
-
@Bwsted said:
Unironically, in a stream where they explained hit registration, they said that 150ms ping is pretty good.
Barring that facts that their own ping check system would give you a yellow bar for that lag, and that if you repeated that statement to any players of any reaction-based online pvp game you'd immediately be treated as laughing stock, I wouldn't hold my breath they'd go through with that change if I were you.
Yeah, I think I remember that.
150 ms ping is horrific in most other games.

Nope. If you think the DS, IW, and DH nerfs are going to end your solo career even with BT basekit, OTR, and chaining endurance then you probably aren't a very good survivor.
my brother in christ
solo q players cannot hit overcharge skill checks

It's not fun but the developers have stated it is a strategy.

Solo is only going to get worse with these changes. I'm not sure how you expect a five-second BT to do anything when I can just body block you. Off The Record is going to get nerfed anyway after PTB. Camping is further encouraged with their changes and lack of understanding.
In both scenarios above, I wouldn't have been on the floor instantly.

I basically only play solo Q I'd love to be paid for it because FASHION ISN'T CHEAP. GIMMIE THOSE CELLS !!!!
I'd avoid it because there is no amount of compensation BHVR could give me to go through the absolute torture of playing Solo Survivor

@Lycidas said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3032349#Comment_3032349
Generally, yes, but it doesn't guarantee that you're good with it
Just like ranks, people will see a high prestige level and assume they played against a much better player because it's easy to compare the numbers you see, and it's going to be the whole rank/matchmaking debate all over again
And I don't think that's unreasonable.
Obviously, if there's someone with 40 Prestige Levels on one Killer and you've got 100 hours, that's not really a good match.
-
@Lycidas said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3032324#Comment_3032324
You won't have Prestige Levels on a Killer you don't level up a lot.
But you'll probably go at least to Prestige 9 with all of them just t to get the charms, which is not exactly a low prestige level
So yeah, the prestige level could be an indication of playtime, but could at the same time very well not be an indication of skill, just like ranks
Still, higher Prestige Level will generally indicate more time played which generally indicates you are better at that Killer.
