Playing as killer I've had a couple times now where I could have sworn I was blinded, (screen went white and all) but I still had the survivor. I assume it's a bug. One of the times I was so certain I had dropped the survivor I tried to shock his saviour and it took 3 tries to realize I was still carrying someone.
Yeah, me too. Was getting tilted that I was getting body blocked and all the survivors were on me only to realize that I had the survivor on my shoulder.
-
I enjoyed the discussion. Would like to see more content like that.
I like both streamers, but watch Tru3 more because I can watch him with my kids. He doesn't swear as much as Otz! haha
-
I've no issue with the new killer. Devs can make the game they wanna make, the community will speak with their wallets. I'm more interested in the perks, and they look decent to me. The killer himself looks like he has potential and I'm interested to play as him at some point.
All the people saying that he "isn't horror" can get bent as far as I'm concerned, because neither are survivors and killers who teabag, flashlight click, body block, face camp and talk as much post-game garbage as our community. So there! :) See you in the fog!
-
Shannon Bartholemew: the old corrections officer that falls for the wrong men. She is strangely attracted to every killer.
Perks:
Tongue Tied - Once per trial she can talk her way out of getting injured. She gained this power having to talk her way out of getting in trouble working the prison after getting caught having sex with a prisoner.
Overconfidence - Prisoners don't see women very often so when they do they think that woman is gorgeous. Shannon thinks she hears an inmate calling for a request slip so she gains heightened senses and speed for 5/7/10 seconds when the power is activated. 4 year cooldown.
Am I Pretty? - Shannon thinks the killer wants to compliment her so walking behind the killer for 5/4/2 seconds shows her all auras of all gens. Only active during PMS.
There you go!
-
And just what do you mean by tunneling? I get accused for tunneling if I spread out all the hooks and just get someone on second hook at all. Nonsense. Last night I walked a dying survivor to the exit gate and let them wiggle free and they teabagged on the way out. This survivor garbage is how you perpetuate toxic killers. Play fair but don't give an inch.

CLEANSE! TOTEMS!

Rather than looking at this and saying why it should be hidden, I look at this as to why would so many people dodge because of this?
In other words, you're trying to fix dodging rather than looking at why these make them want to dodge in the first place. Tackle the disease itself, not the symptoms of the disease. Dodging is the symptom.
Truth.

Killer main and I don't mind dead hard. I can usually wait it out or make fun of them for DH'ing into a corner. As a Nurse, though, it's different. When Survivor's DH after a second blink there really isn't anything you can do against that. I'm not saying DH should be nerfed at all, but it definitely provides more of a boost against Nurse than against other killers IMO.
-
Yeah! And make every killer as slow as Nurse! Yeah, I don't like that the killer has something that helps them get me! RAWR!!!!

Yeah pretty much!!!

Why wouldn't you main the Killer you have the most fun with?
I've been maining spooky Myers for quite a while now. Going around, doing your thing with 24/7 undetectable is fantastic.
I don't main Legion or Plague because I'm not as likely to get as many bloodpoints with them since I won't hook and kill as many as I would with, say, Doc or Spirit.

@Asssblasster625 said:
Doc. Something about just holding a button for a sec and finding all the urban immersion gamers is so much fun.
Definitely! And his laugh when he hits just adds to it!

@Mringasa said:
Plague purely for chill times. Vomiting on people is pretty nasty, but chasing someone while you puke on them constantly, to the point they just stop running and stand there looking at you, is pretty damn hilarious. She makes my "bad" days fun again for a match or two before I get more serious.
I completely feel this!
-
Killer main win condition: Did I have fun? Yes - win. No - Loss.
Fun generally comes with more hooks, meaning that I performed decent in chases and downed survivors.
-
I think that people who DO main Spirit don't want her reworked. I know I don't.
-
It's the beginning of a picture becoming binary language = It's something robotic = the new killer is a robot = the new robot killer will look like a guy in cardboard boxes covered with aluminum foil = I'M SOOO PUMPED!!!!

Hooks. I rather have multiple Chases and end up on a 8 Hook/0K than having a 4K with 5 Hooks.
I feel this so much. I can have fun and feel like I completely outplay the survivors and end up with 0k. The no kills might sting just a little, but having fun is the key and for me getting those hooks are fun.
-
Early game - Hooks. Hooks grant BP and that's what I'm playing for. Kills are nice, but if I HAVE to rank them then I'm going with hooks.
-
Doctor with Distressing, BBQ, Franklin's and Ruin (Or put thanatophobia in there somewhere)
Bubba with BBQ, Franklin's, Ruin and Bamboozle (Or Thanato for bamboozle)
Spirit with Stridor, Franklin's, Ruin and Nurse's Calling or Distressing
If you can't tell, I love me some Franklin's to smack items!

@Phasmamain said:
Unfortunately that’s the meta for you. Not that I blame them since every time I run a fun build I fight a stridor spirit or slugging nurse so I feel like I have no choice
I don't blame survivors for their meta builds, I run NoShame NOED sometimes myself, so no worries. IT was just like a gut punch in this game to have those three things happen one right after the other.

I’ve actually watched a few of his videos. But unless I buy the DLC characters or spend a lot for the perks I won’t be able to even run half decent perks as is. I’m a relatively new player so I don’t want to jump right off the bat sinking boatloads of money on DLC. Especially since I’ve only been playing two months.
I COMPLETELY get that. Thankfully, with consistent play over time you can get several of the DLC characters for 9k iridescent shards apiece. That's how I got legion and Blight, plus when they are on sale I believe the killers are only $3 or $3.50. I was enjoying the game so much that I took the plunge over the holidays and got several killers when they were on sale. Until then, practice and map knowledge as well as game sense can still be honed over time, and I've found those to be the most valuable things for me. GL!!
-
I had to completely disassociate myself from feeling bad about survivors after trying to be 'nice' and play 'fair'. People will get upset about ANYTHING and I had to decide if that was going to bother me or if I was going to have fun despite their reactions. Run the perks and addons that make the game fun for you then go out and have fun! I remember that feeling of being disrespected and 'feeling like a loser'. I have to remember that I determine the way that I feel, not invisible children on a video game. I've only got 200 hrs in the game but I've played long enough to know who I'm good with (Spirit, Doctor, Bubba) and I'll go to those when I'm in need of a solid match.
Practice has helped me get much better and watching players who are better than me who also explain the tactics have helped TREMENDOUSLY!! I would recommend Tru3Ta1ent on Twitch and there are plenty more, but he's my favorite. Mind games help, knowledge of the maps help and knowing how to counter the behavior you've experienced helps. This comes with experience, practice and research. You'll get there if you stick with it, and it is SOOO worth it when you down those mothers who are being toxic and then rage in post-game chat. As long as you're having fun, keep having fun. I try to be helpful and explain things as I play killer. As I said, I'm only 200 hrs in but I'm a teacher IRL and that helps me explain things as I go and some people have said that they enjoy that aspect of my stream. Feel free to say hello and ask questions and we'll figure it out together if you're interested, https://www.twitch.tv/professorgameandtalk See you in the fog!!
-
Killer main, I don't mind Iron Will, even though I'm colorblind and rely on sound more than most. Yes, I run Stridor on my Spirit but still don't look up at the end of a match and think I got cheated because someone had IW.

Someone escaped with gens still left to do and everyone was alive, meaning it can't have been a key.
ahh, thank you. Why would someone want to do that? I mean, what's the benefit? Is it just to show that you can?
-
I'm a noob, can someone please explain what is going on in the pics? Thanks in advance.
-
Just for the record, as a killer main, I'm just fine with flashlights draining as fast as possible. Thank you.
-
I don't usually play survivor but when I do... I play with Ash.
Killer I want to main Nurse but I'm in the process fo getting gud with her. I'm a Spirit main at the moment but bounce to Doc and Bubba regularly. They are all just so fun to play.

I personally despise the new movement, I feel limited by it when I am in chase in terms of mechanical setbacks, and in my opinion it looks unnatural and strange, especially when a survivor turns around quickly.
I really don't understand how people can prefer this clunky movement to old movement, which was very smooth with virtually no issues. I would love to hear why specifically you guys prefer it if you wouldn't mind sharing. (I'm not attacking anyone, just curious)
I don't love or hate it. I played maybe a half dozen matches as killer last night and it will just take some getting used to for me. I'm not really pushed one way or the other in terms of loving it or hating it. I do think the injured run is odd, but as I said in earlier posts, I just have fun with it.
-
Your title made me LoL. I feel your pain. I run no-shame NOED and I legit don't get to even use it half the time because all the totems get cleansed when I play red ranks (I'm rank 12). But, that's the risk of running a totem, right?

I agree it isn't the best but I also don't hate it. I like that there's at least a step in their movements.
HAHA, I see what you did there. In their 'MOVEMENTS'? EHHH?? After my poop comment?? HUH?! HUH?! I'm a dad and I approve your joke!
-
Injured running looks like they need to poop. I think it's hilarious chasing someone that looks like they need a toilet. It's like I'm karma and I'm inflicting bowel punishment on these trolls!

Hey, do you want the last word? You can make up more straw men that nobody has said or done.

Blood Warden blocks the gates for 1 minute after you hook someone if they are opened, if you use that offering you suggest the total time EGC would last is 1 minute (-75% less of 4 minutes that lasts when someone is downed) which means its impossible to escape and everyone gets killed by EGC you dont even need to hit the other 3.
Ill be reiterative, if you want them to get out go there and smack them, EGC is fine as it is, its only 2 minutes.
Ahh, I've never run blood warden so it wasn't considered in my post. Thank you for clearing that up. You're right, a 75% decrease wouldn't help then, would it. Thank you for the explanation.

there never used to be an egc. if the survivors were ######### they could open the gates and stealth around the map for however long they wanted to. no timer to force them out.
you're complaining about a mechanic that already favors killers in many ways and is in a pretty healthy state. you can clearly force idiot tbagging survivors out by walking up and hitting them or if it the tbagging hurts you that bad you can walk away and wait for the timer to go down. i don't know what else to tell you besides suck it up.
I've seen a considerable amount of posts about EGC being toxic for a great many people, not just me. I didn't play when there was no EGC timer, I play now. And while I play now I feel like 4 minutes is too long. I can appreciate that you don't agree and I phrased my post in a way which allows for civil discourse (that means respectful discussion... also means talking nice to people). "Suck it up" does not allow for respectful discourse. Using your rationale, since the devs did something once to help an area they shouldn't consider any more improvements ever again, which I think is silly. In my experience, people who say "suck it up" usually don't like others disagreeing with them or don't have something constructive to offer, they just like to be heard. (They also tend to say "Bro" and "Bruh" a lot, but that's a different matter.)
So anyways, have a pleasant day. See you in the fog!

@HectorBrando said:
Awful idea, burn that offering, equip NOED and Blood Warden, down someone once the last gen pops, open the gates yourself and hook, congratulations you got 4K while doing absolutely nothing.
If people dont want to leave smack them.
I don't think I understand your post. Down someone, hit the gate and hook that guy to earn a 4k? If I hook that one guy and earn a 4k then I've already downed 3 and I wouldn't have done nothing to earn it. Don't like NOED? Cleanse totems and counter it.
-
@chadbeastofprey said:
it can literally only be 4 minutes max, suck it up ?????
Thank you for the constructive criticism. I bet you're a peach in post-game chat. Type "GGEZ" much? :)
-
Maybe even better is the survivor counter can INCREASE the EGC timer by 25% up to a max of the original 100%. So one survivor can counter a 25% offering, but the bigger offerings would take more survivor offerings to counter. so 3 survivors would have to offer up their 25% increase counter to nullify a full Iridescent 75% killer offering. Does that make sense?
-
Oh, and I think the sacrifice should be secret so survivors can guess at what offering has been made. Survivor null counter can be secret too, so nobody knows what the timer will be until it happens.
-
Nerf Bubba?? NEVAH!!!!!!

It's on da front page of "General Discussions".

Deathslinger's name is made up of two words, Deathsl and Inger. What do these words mean? Where did they come from? How can we put this puzzle together? The world will never know.

Who says this, I have never heard anyone say anything like this ever
The dev said this specifically in the last DevNote video about teabagging and the animation updates.

We want teabagging to feel satisfying.

Spirit is one of the easiest killers to play.

And here I was thinking this was gonna be a post about thicc-hipped Jane!

I’ll at least start and if I see toxicity from the very first survivor (teabaghing like crazy after one pallet) then I’ll just dc. Five minutes is nothing compared to what they have to wait through for their next match. Then I giggle a little. Fun times.
