If people prevent the game from proceeding like bodyblocking you in a corner for 30min or hiding and not doing anything. Why did you ask?
How in the hell did someone get bodyblocked in the corner?

Kate
Dead Hard, Deliverance, Borrowed Time, We'll make it
Spirit
BBQ, Stridor, Ruin, Undying

As a killer main, it irritates me when I'm playing survivor and the killers BM like slug the last two then don't hook them until they're almost dead. You won, knucklehead, just finish the match!
-
Clown is lots of fun. Give us an update when you experience the greatness of Redhead's Pinky Finger. Greatness!!
-
Romero wasn't built in a day.
-
I play Kate with a particular outfit because I think she's good looking and as a guy when there is no difference in gameplay I'll opt for a good looking woman to play as. That's really about it. All survivors have access to all survivor perks with a little grinding so it all comes down to personal preference in my opinion.
-
I play more killer than survivor and the ONLY thing that stands out is queue times. I'd definitely play more survivor if queue times weren't so awful.

I'm telling you, give me killer dance emotes and I'll play even MORE killer than I already do! Who wouldn't love watching me dance like this with Doc?!?!?! It would be glorious!
-
Well, I don't actually gain anything from you dropping your item, so.... kinda odd?

Tbf I’d rather have a bubba dance while camping me than staring me down.
It just makes sense, doesn't it?! And with all the talk of killer stress today, dancing is the perfect salve for what ails ye!
-
Douchebag Steve and Trapper. Both useless for me.
-
If I'm with someone and they're being toxic I'll slow vault in front of them so the killer can get them. That's what you get, toxic suckah!!
-
If you grew up with Scooby Doo then I think you would know that the real monster is Scrappy. Eff that little effer. Make him the killer and then I'll be horrified.
-
Make ruin basekit for killers and make DS basekit for survivors. That's my take on it.
-
Spirit is fine. Leave her alone. Thanks!

Here's a wild thought..There's this REALLY neat perk called Detectives Hunch 🤷
And Small Game.
-
"You only killed me because of NOED."
I only killed you because I ran a perk in one of my four perk slots to counter your 'Adrenaline'? Uhh, yeah. That's what perks are for. I'm happy to counter your 'Adrenaline' with NOED. If Adrenaline wasn't a thing, then I wouldn't worry about NOED.
That's like a killer saying "You only got away from me because you ran DS/BT/Adrenaline/UB/DH/SB/Lithe/Balanced Landing/any other perk which gets a survivor away from a killer." Yeah, that's what perks are for.

Found the salty survivor main ^

I have a Kate with tight jeans and her half-shirt with jacket and guitar. She's my girlfriend.

How sure are you its real? That tweet could be fake. The account could be fake. The account could of been hacked. How do we know this is real? How do we know this forum is even run by bhvr. It could be a honey pot run by the government, man. How do I know youxre real and not a bot?! Are you a bot? Is anything real? Am I real?
Maybe I was the bot all along.
😱
Hmm, you said to not trust the forums so I can't trust this post. But then you said NOT to trust your post so I now shall trust your post. SO I clearly cannot trust the cup in front of you. Then you said that maybe you're a bot so I CLEARLY cannot trust the cup in front of me!
Never go in against a Sicillian when DEATH is on the line!!

I don't mind the New Ruin because it has a powerful effect if you are a killer with good mobility. But, honestly, I prefer the Old version. A lot of survivors did not hit great skill checks all the time, and this perk managed to slow the game down... just a little bit.
Sorry, I had to say it :)
I can imagine back then, opening the game as a new player and starting a trial right next to a gen, working on it for a little while, "Why isn't this damn gen going up? I'm hitting my skill checks, #########? This damn game is broken!!" haha
-
@GeneralV said:
"(I don't know if there was a previous state to Ruin. It has been in its current state since I've been playing.)"
Yes, there was! A very good perk, if I may add.
Here, take a look:
Holy smokes, that's amazing!! I love it!!
But current state is cool, too! :P
-
Freddy for me. As a color blind player I rely on sound more. When I'm in dream state and don't hear Freddy's TR until I'm actually in chase it becomes VERY difficult for me. I know there is a lullaby or something that plays when he's close but I often hear it too late and if I'm not in a good position on a gen then I'll get yoinked pretty easily.
-
It seems like it depends on the night. I'll get 5 ghostfaces one night and then none the next. It seems to be in waves.
-
Killer main but I play both and I'll still eat a DS from time to time as killer. I don't respect it because fewer survivors run it. As a survivor, though, I think it works as intended. I run it usually because I solo queue and get pulled off hook by people NOT running BT and get insta-downed pretty regularly. DS let's me keep going whereas if I didn't have it then my game would end much earlier.
If DS doesn't work for you then you are most definitely NOT getting tunneled.
Plus, OP says that killers will walk away for a bit. I don't camp hook until EGC but if I'm walking away and survivor gets unhooked and they're still in my TR, I'd be a fool to not turn around and go after the both of them (if state of gens is ok). That's just smart killer play when a survivor is dumb enough to unhook when I'm so close. Work smarter, not harder.
-
Thanks for all the advice, peeps. Definitely looking for some new perks!

There isn’t “toxic t-bagging”, pushing the control key in a game isn’t toxic. Lots of killers are just overly sensitive and blame their own poor performance and lack of skill on the game, and anything a survivor does is toxic to that person. Ignore those people, or point and laugh, then move on to the next trial.
Found the Survivor main.

I did the 'That's Rude' and got it first go. I just moved my camera back and forth until the perk activated and as soon as it did I hit the 1 and my character pointed and I made sure not to move until a second after the animation then I ran off. I did that twice and the challenge clicked at the end of the match.

I used Distressing on the pre-rework doc, but started experimenting with MnA and Calm builds right after he got reworked. I typically run it with a red-stain addin or fake pallets for extra LOLs, but I may start running range extensions again.
Fake pallets make me happy :)

I think if you're going against sweaties, Franklin's is 100%, not the right call.
Perhaps, but I'd assert that the right call is whatever perk helps you have fun. Making a full lobby of items get dropped is very, very fun.

Okay I get that you say that you don’t have an issue with tunnelling. How about your team mates? That’s where the snow balling starts in my matches. They’re not running it killers are abusing it. Me alone running DS in 90% of matches won’t change the team experience.
I hear you, but I run mostly solo so I don't really know what their experience is like. I pound gens, get an unhook if I'm close, loop as well as I can and try to get out.

Doctor
Usually run with at least a yellow level Calm or better
Monitor and Abuse, BBQ and Chili, Pop Goes The Weasel, Whispers
Will likely switch BBQ out in the very near future.
I used to run Monitor on Doctor religiously, but switched it for Distressing. The bigger terror radius made my Shock so much more powerful in finding hiding survivors. Either way, Doc is super fun! I main him with Spirit.
-
Spirit with the Greek Goddess outfit.
Stridor (duh!) BBQ, Ruin, Undying (switch out Undying for Franklin's if it looks like sweaty clickies in the lobby)
Mother/Daughter Ring (So I can fly!) and any other addon, usually something that increases power recovery rate
-
I still run DS and I think it works as intended. When a killer intentionally ignores other survivors and just focuses on me then I get a stun and a few seconds to get away. It also helps out at endgame when teammates try to get me without BT. I've gotten the DS stun and then out the gate a few times. I don't see any issue with how DS is working. If I'm working a gen or healing someone else then it goes away and I'm really not being tunneled at that point.

No

In fact, let me put it this way
Saying GG out of habit is ######### meaningless man.
If I tell you GG win or lose, I really ######### mean it. If I won and said GG, I felt like you made me work for that win. If I GG on a loss, you did something brilliant that turned the tables on me and you have my respect.
But saying it "just because" Feh... Those are dime a dozen and mean nothing to me.
Say it because you mean it, not because it's "polite"
Deep breath, dude. In for count of 3, hold for 2, breathe out. It's just a game.
-
GG, GGs, GGWP are all respectful ways to give a post-game handshake. I've only taken it poorly when it was from a toxic teabagger flashlight clicker. Don't be a toxic pric% and then say GG, but just because you played well I don't think negates the GGs.
When Ive been dominated and someone wants to get toxic in post game is when they hit GGEZ, and THAT is rude and looking for salt.
GGs? No prob, GGEZ? keep that sheiße somewhere else.

I mean...Is it REALLY that big of an issue if one escapes..? Is it the end of the world..? You already got a person getting a DC penalty and 0 points. That's a bigger win then a 4k. Not to mention you get extra BP for a quitter bonus
In a game with so much sweat at high ranks, I agree that the DC is a bigger win than a technical 4k. I'm happy to get a DC ANY game I play, so DC away!
-
I wear the Kate tight-a$$ jeans, the 50's top with guitar and default head. She's beautiful!
-
Well played, Good Sir! Keep on keeping on and smack those survivors for me!
-
If I had a game like that I'd show it off too!
-
I like it. I like thinking I'm tricking survivors. I'll blink and hit then chase their asses down. I imagine them yelling at their computers, "How the F$%& is she so fast?!"
Then I giggle.
-
I'm coming at it from the opposite end. I'm a killer main who has made it to red ranks and now I'm not having fun anymore. I've never been one to just destroy survivors (unless they are all dumb potatoes) but I'm 300 hours into the game and I've made it to rank 4 killer. I really can't compete against a team of reds with anyone except Spirit or sometimes Doc because I go for hooks and reds get those gens done so damn fast. No matter what hex I run it seems to get cleansed within a minute of trial start. Even ruin undying if you double that time doesn't always give me great value. Last rank reset I went from rank 5 down to 9 and then spent a whole day de-pipping down to rank 15 so I could have fun again. I've ranked back up to 7 now and I'm going against red SWF squads almost exclusively and it just isn't fun anymore, the matches are very one-sided towards survivor and gens are almost done at 6 hooks unless I play "toxic". So it's either have fun playing chill against low and mid ranks or stress and sweat against reds. It's a slog. I'd disagree that killers are OP as a whole. I really think it depends on who is playing the killer and how much time they have in the game.
It has forced me to look at other ways to play and I've started solo queueing survivor knowing that it isn't the optimal experience but I've had fun. I can just chill and work gens or try to work on my looping or unhooking skills. Yeah, teammates don't always unhook and that's frustrating but it isn't the same as having to go against 4 sweaty reds! I have discovered just how fun SWF can be and I'm trying to do more of that. Playing survivor has helped me be a better killer also, so there's that.
TL;DR - Plenty of other ways to play, but you are right that at certain points the game can get unplayable.

Play the game, get multiple downs and hooks but I'll just keep saying to myself the games not balanced for high level play and I'll get potatoes at some point

I just groan and keep playing. She's still very strong and the only killer right now that I can reasonably expect to get kills with against red ranks.
-
I'd like Laurie to get a makeover so she doesn't have those damn mom-jeans and camel-toe. Please get that lady something she didn't pull out of her mother's closet.
-
Well, when you unhook my unhook and I unhook your unhook, we unhook the unhooker and it makes the unhook look like and unhooking master level unhook fest! I can't imagine unhooking an unhook when the unhooking killer unhooked an Object of Obsession when the hook was hooking an unhooking jerk of an unhook!
Balls.

Killer. Easily.
- I get WAY more points for less effort.
- I can't be ejected out of the game.
- The only form of BM my opponents can do to me literally wastes their running time.
- No annoying "teammates".
- If someone pisses me off, I can actually punish them for it.
- Hitting people feels so good as stress relief instead of running away.
I definitely get this. I can run Doc or Spirit with my lvl 3 BBQ and a Survivor pudding and get TONS of BPs. And if once in a blue moon a survivor drops a Bloody Streamers, that's all the better!! Killer is by far the way to go for BP farming,
