They're aren't justified for why the game is unplayable for whole platforms. Yes, I'm not a coder. But, we aren't allowed to criticize someone for failing their job. I shouldn't leave a bad review at a restaurant for making bad food because I don't know how cooking works. So we shouldn't criticize companies for failing to make a goo product.
People can criticize but saying 'Just fix it' or 'there's no excuse' is not constructive criticism.
Imagine being a youtuber or twitch streamer and someone says 'Your videos are inexcusable. Just be better.' Not really much to go on in that, is there?
Or imagine owning that restaurant and someone says 'Food sucks. They should be better'. Not really helpful, is it? Was it overcooked? Undercooked? Was the waitstaff rude? Were things overpriced? Was the wait for a table long?
'Just do it' is the scream of children and Karens who don't care about the employees; they just care about wanting something now, now, now! No talking, no breaks, 'no excuses'; just fix it NOW so they, personally, can be happy.

They aren't some small game company this shows they have plenty of resources to fix things like making the game working under the simplest thing like using your power. There's no excuses for the game's current awful state.
Become a coder, then try the 'no excuses' line. Anyone using it has no idea how coding and bug fixing works, and is just acting like a Karen screaming they want something 'now' because they don't care how people do their jobs.
They just want the end result, and there's 'no excuses' that will make them care.

Ah yes it takes a company of over 700 employees and over 100 million U.S dollars in revenue to finally begin to fix an issue that was acknowledged in 2019 and has culminated in constant bugs, lag, freezing and unplayable on last gen consoles.
Except that money is for the entire company, not just the coders.
And those 700 employees are not all coders, and don't just do whatever job they feel like. So neither number is indicative of how many people fix bugs. 🤷♂️

2 minute chase who chases for 2 minutes at a time , get your stacks and bail , or find a different opportunity , i almost never allow myself to hit bloodlust ,
there should be one special spot on every map where Survivors teleport onto a hook if they step on it.' but there is a killer that can teleport you to a hook/cage lol
until you can prevent , bad ping killed being able to abuse the hit verification , and a sufficient anti tunnel , anti slug , the game needs to move from clearly killer sided to more balanced
You not liking tunneling and slugging does not mean they're problems that need fixing.
And that 'teleport to hook' removes any and all hook-based perks PH may be using. AND Survivors need to step on his glowing spaghetti trail, which is their own fault. AND he still has to chase and down people. It's called 'balance'. You act like he snaps his fingers and you're hooked.
And the Killer has to equal the power of 4 Survivors, so the Killer being powerful IS balance. So no; the game doe snot need to 'move from being Killer-sided' because it's not Killer-sided. It's balanced in a 4v1.
I'll never understand Survivors who think they need to personally be as strong as the Killer in a 1v1. It's like they don't understand teamwork or actual, real game balance.
Instead, they go 'I lost! Game's unbalanced!'
-
Yes, because all it takes is just doing it.
Apparently, whenever a game has a bug and it's not fixed instantly, it's because the devs are eating pizza and drinking beer. Not because it takes time to figure out just where the bug is in the code, figure out how to fix it, then fix it, and finally push the fix live on the various platforms...
Nope! They just need to be bothered to 'fix it'. Like coding is some magical profession where magic words are said and poof; fixed! 🙄
-
Tunneling is just the Killer doing his job efficiently; he's going after the wounded link who will go down quicker & needs less hooks to die.
It's no different from Survivors going out of their way to find that gen they 80% & had to run away from instead of starting a 0% gen.
And any Survivor who tells you different is trying to convince you that it's okay for THEM to play efficiently but not Killers because 'boo-hoo, hurt feelings' at being removed from the match.
-
@DBD78 said:
Tunneling is the best option really. Same as we survivors are tunneling gens. If killer chases you of the gen you go back to that gen and finish it instead of start working on new gen. Same for killer if you have hooked the survivor once you need to finish that survivor also instead of going after another one. The faster four survivors gets to three survivors the better.
Yeah but Survivors will claim 'The Killer doing his objective efficiently (tunneling) is knocking someone out of the game! *Shocked Pikachu*' and act like this means Killers should not be allowed to play well.
Then, they will use insults and peer pressure (you don't want to be a scrub right? Only scrubs do <insert every good tactic here, plus 99% of the Killer roster, plus any & all Killer perks>) in an attempt to bully Killers into following a completely Survivor-invented honor system. Because apparently the Killer 'knocking people out of the game' is wrong and bad and evil.
-
It's just not possible for a program or server to know that THIS disconnect was on purpose and THAT was from internet going out.
All it can see is that connection disappeared. There is nothing in it that says how or why, and with current technology (as far as I am aware), there is no way to differentiate one disconnect from another.

So, the Killer Kills, and the Survivor Survives. They are contradictory. Expecting a 4K every game is just as insulting as expecting a 4E. Also, keep in mind that I still fully support the inclusion and capability of a Killer being able to Tunnel/Camp, I just don't think that the resulting easier 4K is the right way to... reward those things.
So, we have come to see a problem you're describing: Gen speeds. What is it about them, currently, that you don't like? What doesn't feel fun, or fair, about them from a Killer perspective?
It's not that they're 'not fun' or 'not fair'.
It's just that they're what the devs need to balance the entire game around. If they WANT gen speeds to enable 5-6 minute escapes, then they need to develop Killer movement speed & powers around short, fast chases so the Killer has a chance of hooking someone without 3/5 gens popping.
Because, if 1 hook = 3 gens. Then Killing one person via 3 hooks = 9 out of 5 generators.
Or, to put it in time: If 1 chase (find, chase, hit, chase some more, down) + hook = 120 seconds (2 minutes), then 3 hooks = 360 seconds (6 minutes).
That's 6 minutes to kill ONE person...Except 'tunneling is bad'. So that's 3 non-kill hooks in 6 minutes. And with current gen speeds, that's now 4 to 5 gens popped & the exit gates powered. And no one dead.
Hence WHY Killers camp & tunnel.
And also why the entire game needs to be balanced around gen speeds, first and foremost. Devs need to ask 'how fast can gens pop' and balance everything a Killer can do around that time limit. Because that is the time limit of a match.

Oh no, you're defending the "devs playbook". Understanding underlying code and abusing it is also a tactic. Just not fun being on the receiving end, is it?
The other Players can "punish" this tactic by just DC'ing and denying the hacker the experience of using their "skill" on live persons. But that isn't a fair expectation, is it?
...
Having some pre-defined set of expectations is important. And this is a Horror game, so Killers are expected to be able to get a Kill. But dismissing any complaints as just "these are the rules, stop complaining", is a bit dismissive, especially when you can try to understand the root cause for these complaints in the first place.
People don't like Camping, Tunneling (Sacrificed state), Slugging, all because it takes them out of the action, there is nothing that they can do while in these states, so how could this be addressed in a way that retains the Killers ability to keep them in these states, while also giving the Survivor player a feeling of agency?
No ######### 'understanding the code and abusing it' when referring to HACKING is not a ######### tactic; It's cheating.
Using an ACCEPTED TACTIC is not cheating just because Survivors are getting their knickers in a knot over losing.
And the Killer's TACTIC is to remove Survivors 'from the action'. It's how he slows down gen progress, since gens fly too fast and kicking without perks could be removed, due to 1-frame gen tapping.
It's ALSO how he ######### WINS. Why is this so hard for Survivors to understand? The. Killer. Kills. You.
He removes you from the game. And he does not have to ask you if you had enough fun before he does so. He's not a theme park employee. It's not his job to PM you and say 'Did the upper-class Survivor have enough fun? May I hook you now? Am I allowed to kill you?'
But Survivors treat the Killer like he exists for their enjoyment, and every time one wins, he CLEARLY went off script and needs to be fired!

Ruin alone can carry a game if left uncontested, same for Devour Hope. The only thing the killer needs to do is patrol gens. Survivors play a game of dwindling resources while the killer expands their pressure and Ruin gives the killer enough time to exhaust most item charges and map assets.
Here's a comparison between a few slowdown perks in the game.
Yes, Ruin carries games, even when compared to other similar perks.
'Ruin alone can carry a game if left uncontested,'
...Then contest it? 'This hex perk is strong if we don't cleanse it, so it's a training wheel!' Survivor mentality in a nutshell; Ignore the counter to claim it's OP.
Bottom line; the 'it's training wheels' excuse is BS meant to shame Killers into not using strong perks, while Survivors run full meta plus SWF plus voice comms. The comment has 0 purpose beyond making Killers feel ashamed for using strong perks. Stop.

Because they got upset some people DCd, it must mean they insult everyone?
I don't even use endgame chat unless to reply to 'gg' with a 'gg', and even I'd probably comment on the absurdity of 3 people wussing out. Keep reaching.
-
You can't believe it?
Every day, Survivors spend hours trying to use insults and peer pressure to control who Killers play, what perks they pick, and what tactics they use. They also repeatedly scream for the devs to change the game to conform to the Survivor Rulebook For Killers.
Survivor mains have 0 shame or self awareness. 😂

No, the SWF one is weak. Clutch your excuses tightly. Never get better.
Sorry, Survivors are the ones who invent BS rules and try to use peer pressure & insults to control Killer tactics, from who to play, to what perks to use, to what tactics are acceptable.
Nice try, though. Keep screaming 'ItS jUsT tRaInInG wHeElS!' in an attempt to control your opponent.

I’m a killer player. I can show you my killer credentials, too (P3’ing all twenty-four killers). Let me know if that’d move you.
Also the SWF argument is weak.
'It's training wheels' is weaker.
@lagosta said:
Play with whatever you want, but it is undeniable that some killers and builds will dramatically boost your outcomes not by increasing your skill, but by providing in-match benefits. As you climb up the leader, this might become a problem as you're matched against better opponents and didn't take have time to learn the details of the killer's power, macro management, and how to cut corners, but instead 2 pip your way carried by whatever is meta. The same is true for survivors.
I dunno about you, but playing killer with 2-3 regression perks make the game boring to me, Ruin being the worst offender. Just strap and forget your way to victory.
There are not any perks that win the game for Killers. It all comes down to how well the Killer does Vs the Survivors. This 'The perks carry you!' mentality is why so many Survivors scream for nerfs; they can't comprehend that a Killer can have skill.

I know, right? It's always annoying seeing people try to knock down "hackers" that are simply trying to have fun. If I want to insta-Kill the Survivors, or auto-complete Generators, what harm is there in that? The game's poor security lets me do it, so it's all fair right? The devs speaking out against it, is simply them bending to complainers, so they're not a "reasonable" metric for what's allowable, only what the game allows you to do.
Are you seriously comparing camping; a TACTIC IN THE GAME that SURVIVORS CAN PUNISH, to breaking the rules by hacking?
Can you see reality from where you are?
Comparing a player tactic or strat to cheating. Rofl. No wonder Survivors demand the game be changed, if they see anything they don't like as 'cheating'. 😂

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/266595/are-the-hooks-a-design-failure
I think it is bad design because there's too many hooks. Why do we even have a wiggle mechanic where no matter where you die theres a hook there. They need to be reduced by half so everyone can play more strategic and you get some actual usage out of wiggling. It adds more suspense like am I gonna make it?
Wriggling exists so the Killer cannot carry you to the basement across the map, or hold you on his shoulder infinitely. It is not meant to actually help Survivors without outside intervention.
If it actually saw effectiveness on it's own; Killers would never be able to hook anyone.
-
@Steel_Eyed said:
Yeah, they’re training wheels.
Ah yes; the Survivor tactic of insulting Killers to steer them away from effective builds.
Because actually trying to win is only allowed for Survivors.
People will note that Survivor meta, SWF, and voice comms are not 'training wheels' but anything effective for a Killer is 'training wheels' or 'toxic' or 'unfun'. Remember Killers; Survivors genuinely think Killers trying to win is against their made up rules!
-
Killer: *Camps*
Survivors: *Walk towards the Killer THAT CAN KILL THEM*
Also Survivors: Camping is not fair! Gimmy my free unhooks! Punish Killers for not following our invented honor system that exists to control how they play! Force Killers to play badly so I can win!
Watching people demand for limitations on how THEIR OPPONENT plays is getting boring, fast.
If you can't accept being removed in a game where your opponent's goal is to remove you; why are you playing this game? You can't fix camping without looking at gen times, because Survivors can, literally, bang out gens twice as fast as a Killer can 12 hook.
But most the folks screeching for 'punishments' want exactly that; a game where Killers can't win. That's what 99% of these threads are, just 'Please make the game easier for me' and 'Please punish Killers for not following The Survivor Rulebook 5th Edition'

Yes, I don't care for the killer to win at all, or for he to have fun, IF he needs to camp and RUIN other people's matches. So yes, it totally works, because it is punishing. And a punishment is not meant to be a pleasurable experience. Did your parents hold your hand and brought you to buy an ice cream when you were punished? Because if they did, then I can see why you would have a hard time understanding how punishing works. If not, you might want to revise your "playstyle", buddy.
You missed the point.
Your punishment is bad because it has one goal; to punish. It does not take into account anything else. It exists in a vacuum and ignores those times when Killers need to camp.
It also ruins the game for Killers, instead of being a balancing factor, and rewards Survivors because you have a Survivor bias and don't care about balance. You just want Killers punished for not playing by your made up rules. You see 'Does it punish? = Yes' and don't care about anything else.
Thank the Entity the Survivors on these forums can't affect balance, or this game would be a hell-slog for Killers and we'd never win a match. Too many of you just assume your honor system is all that matters, mostly to force Killers into giving you unearned unhooks because you're too lazy to learn when to unhook and when to do gens.
Y'all basically think 'I want the unhook now' and then throw a hissy fit when the Killer does not give it to you. Then you come onto these forums and screech that the devs should change the game and MAKE the Killers give you those free, unearned unhooks because 'something, something, feelings' and 'blah, blah, toxic play' and 'Unfair we get removed from a match' when THAT IS THE KILLER'S JOB!
-
@TheDappaScrappa said:
I mean to me if you need to tunnel it just shows you are kinda bad at playing killer? I know play to win blah blah who cares about survivors fun or who cares about killer's fun, DBD us vs them mentality. But as somebody who plays both I just never understood the want to tunnel somebody. You aren't going to get good in the long run by just tunneling, same as camping. So what you lose a few games but at least you can learn and get better. That's just my thoughts. I'd rather lose than to tunnel....well unless they are just being toxic to you for no reason then camp and tunnel all you want lol
I don't get this mindset.
Tunneling, when done tactically (IE: Not to ruin someone's fun) is a way to slow down gen speeds via removing someone from the match.
People complaining about it is like Killer's saying 'Stop genrushing! If you see an 80% completed gen; go do a 0% gen! Give the Kilelr time to play!'
It's just doing your goal efficiently as possible, both sides.

I don't get tilted by losing I couldn't care less, 4500 hours nothing phases my ass anymore. But I have the intelligence and empathy to recognize that I'm playing with other real people that I don't know and I don't know what mental state those people are in, and I'm there to play a game not act like my life depends on how many kills I get that match. It's an immature attitude to say do whatever it takes to win no matter how slimy, and its frankly pathetic as I've said over and over, and Noone will respect you or think your gameplay is anything but dog ######### playing that way, because that's what it is. You say maybe I'll understand it's a game, I do understand that, I think you are the one taking it too seriously if you will do anything to win.. who ######### cares dude. You're just leaving a nasty taste in the mouth of everyone you play with. No respect.
You say you're not tilted but you're here on the forums, trying to insult and shame people into following your made up honor system as if you know better than everyone else.
Either you're tilted, or you're trying to under-handedly peer pressure Killers into avoiding tactics you don't like. Either way does not look good for you.
-
Honestly, let Killers regress the exit switches like he can gens.
If he finds a 99% switch, let him start that sucker regressing to foil the plans of 1-Frame Freddy and his switch-tapping to open the gates.
You know; the same 1 frame used to gentap that somehow, magically applies pressure in a chase by pausing for 1/60th of a second to remove a regressing generator. (Yes; I hate 1-frame gentapping and think the Devs idea that 'tapping in a chase is dangerous' is insanely out of touch with reality. Why do you ask?)
-
Maybe, one day, you will realize it's a game, and your opponent has as much right to win as you do. And they don't need to ask your permission to use tactics and strategies, on the off chance that you get tilted by losing. 🤷♂️

I'm not reaching for excuses, I'm stating common sense. You don't treat people like trash, unless you're trash yourself, killers aren't playng against npcs, it's real people. Who gives a ######### what the rating of this game is, not an excuse to play like an ######### because you think everyone should be mature enough to handle it, join reality, same goes for the jackass survivors that go around trying to bully killers, the amount of posts I've seen on here how this game has been a detriment to players mental health is somewhat astounding, and it doesn't have to be that way, it just is because certain people are playing like there isn't a person on the other side of thst character. It's pathetic really.
Yeah, sure. I'll stop trying to win...I mean 'stop playing like a jerk' (Let's be honest; Survivors call ANYTHING 'scummy' if it kills them) on the off chance that I happen to run into a child playing an M-Rated game, or someone with issues. Sure.
And let's remove the killing, and the blood, and the screaming, because children and people with issues may be distressed by all that! Just change it to hugs and kisses and candy! Because game ratings mean nothing!

Yeah that's great for you, and personally I don't really mind getting tunneled, usually means a 3 man escape unless they are A+ players, which tunnelers usually aren't. But there are people out there that can't cope with that kind of bullying, which is what it really is, some loser wants to bully someone or they are just trying way too hard to win. You have people playing this game that are too young to handle that kind of #########, mentally handicapped people that can't deal with it in a mature way, and a lot of others that just don't have the capacity to laugh at a bully. So instead of you sitting here sticking up for tunneling, because it's not a big deal to you, maybe think about innocent people who are just trying to play this game and don't need some geek in his moms basement taking out his hatred of his own life on them.
I'm sorry; what? 'You have people playing this game that are too young to handle that kind of [BAD WORD]'
This is an M-Rated game. And the Killer is not responsible for kids who break the rating or parents who ignore it.
Same with people who may be mentally disabled. And I speak as both an autist and developmentally disabled person because I was born 3 months premature and nearly died. Also worth a mention; having been beaten for 6 years until I now have memory issues. So I speak from personal experience with what I say next:
While I am against victim blaming in all forms, I do have to say; If you can't handle an opponent trying to win; THAT IS ON YOU.
Your opponent CANNOT EVER be expected to play different or badly because 'getting camped/tunneled might make someone feel bad'.
You're seriously saying it's the Killer's job to not play 'scummy' because their opponent MIGHT be 'too young' or have a mental disability?
Now you're reaching for excuses to blame Killers, and demand they play sub-optimally because 'something, something, feelings' 🙄

*Trap Snaps in the distance*: Sounds like we got a big one! We need to put the Survivor in it's natural habitat; a Meat Hook!

Uhh, no, no, Survivors don't need or deserve infinite loops.
They're supposed to be threatened by the Killer, not making faces at them from around an infinite loop.
That would be like saying 'there should be one special spot on every map where Survivors teleport onto a hook if they step on it.' You're just asking for an 'I win' zone for no reason except 'The game has dead zones'.
I'm sorry but Killers actually need dead zones when 1 chase can = 3 gens popped in 2 minutes. Until gen speeds are looked at, Killers cannot be universally nerfed, or else the game will skew so Survivor-sided that there will be a mass exodus.

We had it without the infection boost during early testing. It was really unfun to play against, so it had to change. Having played both versions, honestly the live version is far better.
I totally sympathize with feelings that it makes the tentacle less useful than it could be. But having seen what it's like in the more powerful state, we know it was too much.
It still needs a change. As it is; hitting an uninfected Survivor is just giving them a free speed boost & thus prolonging a chase.
Instead of 2 hits to down someone, it's now three, so chases go from 1-2 minutes to 3+ minutes. IN matches where a NORMAL chase can see 3 gens pop.
I like Nemesis but his power needs another look-at. Unless they are already infected, he's better off being an M1 Killer & getting a 2 hit down instead of going for Infections & prolonging the chase in a game where every second counts.
Basically; his power is hurting his chances of winning. No power should actively work against it's Killer.

Ever played survivor? Ever been relentlessly tunneled?
Yes, yes I have. I'll share the story again.
It was either a Billy or Bubba, I can't remember which. It was on The Shape's map.
The dude found and downed me seconds into the match; I just had the bad luck of walking right towards him. It happens.
He hooked me and stood in my face, revving his chainsaw nonstop. My friend is literally poking him with the 'point' emote & being ignored.
The two other players realize what's happening and start fast vaulting and popping gens nonstop. Just all the noise. And are ignored until I almost hit second stage.
The Killer finally turns to attack one of the other players, and my friend unhooks me. The Killer immediately drops his chase to find and re-hook me.
Commences sitting in my face, revving his chainsaw again. I, of course, struggle, so I'm wasting as much of his time as possible, as the rest of the team is now just doing gens to escape.
I'm laughing so hard, tears are in my eyes. This guy wanted so badly to ruin my day, and I don't know why. I don't stream DBD. I don't have 'YT' or 'TTV' in my name. I was Dwight, for hekking sake! Everyone loves Dwight!
But he wanted so, so badly to ruin my day, and all I could do was laugh at how absurd he was being. He threw the entire match to chainsaw-revv in my face. And I laughed.
Because getting angry is what he wanted.

Granted; I don't know how servers are set up for European and other areas of the world.

I am sorry you are going through that.
Sadly, the previous 4 years in the US saw racists and bigots being able to be proud of their hate, given who the POTUS was. Now they can't comprehend that everyone hates them again; they still think being a bigot is acceptable.

Flashlight clicking doesn't cause a killer to camp/tunnel - let's get that clear right away. If a killer is that easily triggered into camping/tunneling - more than likely even a flashlight save would "cause" this type of behavior. As a killer there is nothing you can do that will MAKE me tunnel or camp you - I just roll my eyes and continue with what I was doing. I will remember what you did and if it comes to me being generous in the end game and giving you hatch or not... well that's another story. Give killers a little credit - they aren't all easily triggered - and if they are - just about anything can set them off.
I tend to ignore the Survivor screaming 'Chase me!' with their actions. It's clear they think they can lead me on a merry chase & waste my time, which is exactly what I DO NOT want to do.
It's funny to watch them run after me, clicking/twerking, until I turn and wollop them. Easier than a chase!

So if you’re a bad clown you get punished? Sounds like good design to me
Of course it does; Survivors want every power to be effortlessly counterable.
Why not make the Plague choke and die if she cancels her vomit? Or Billy & Bubba to cut their own leg off if they miss a chainsaw swing? Or Legion to trip and fall on their own knife if they run too long?
There's a difference between 'bad play' and 'My power cancels itself'. This is why Legion is dumpster-tier; his power has so many cancels, counters, and ways to stop itself from working that he's basically an M1 Killer.
And now Clown has secondary bottles that cancel his primary bottles, meaning that he's better off just using his primary bottles the whole time. Which means the power sucks.

My suggest is to give an extra 1,000 bloodpoints every 10 seconds to a hooked survivor that has a killer standing within 32 meters of the hook and not in a chase and not in EGC. Also remove 1,000 bloodpoints from the Killer every 10 seconds.
Rofl no. Survivors need to stop with this 'PUNISH THE KILLER, REEEE!' garbage. You don't get to decide what valid tactics are, sorry.
Give the Survivor BP for being camped. End of story.

It's useless because, for some known only to BHVR reason, they decided Survivors can benefit from the yellow bottles.
Nothing like negating the slowdown you just put on someone.

It's not a bad strategy at all. Soft camp, wait for an inevitable save by a survivor, count to 15, then down the hooked survivor again. It's pretty much a guaranteed win.
And more Survivor peer pressure. Insult the Killer for using a valid tactic and hope they stop doing it.
Peer pressure and attempts to make Killers play sub-optimally while Survivors run 4 full metas + SWF. It's always 'Killers can't do this' and 'You're toxic if you do <x> as a Killer'.
It's like Survivors think the Killer is supposed to ensure Survivors have fun or be banned, like some sort of employee at a theme park.

So you admit you're not actually skilled enough to win the game without proxy camping. Good to know.
Oh boy. Another Survivor main claiming even thinking about the hook is 'proxy camping'.
So when is the Killer allowed to hit Survivors at the hook? 10, 20, or 50 minutes after the unhook? Rofl. More 'unskilled Killers blah, blah' insult peer pressure BS.

Survivors: Killers! Stop playing meta, it's boring. Stop camping, it's unfun. Final Survivor gets hatch for free or we riot.
Also Survivors: If we 3gen, it's on the Killer to give us an escape. If we 3gen, it's the Killer's fault. If we 3gen & immerse, it's not holding the game hostage.
Also, Also Survivors: Slugging is holding the game hostage, but not immersing. We literally can't break any rules, because we invented them all for Killers to follow.

This scenario just perfectly describes how and why it would absolutely work. If the killer goes back to the hook, dropping a chase, it's because he WANTS to camp that survivor. And if that camping brings to nothing for the killer, because he gets punished for it, it means the system is doing exactly what it is supposed to. Just another demonstration of how killers will not ever agree to something that prevents camping and tunneling, since they always cry about gens flying. Yet, when someone presents them with an anti camping system, they use survivors NOT DOING gens as an excuse for why that system would not work (even though it totally would).
Oh yes, it totally works...If you ignore the Killer's experience, want to take away his ability to win, and don't care if he's not happy.
But Survivors benefit and the Killer is punished, and you don't care about the Killer, so it works for you.
Thankfully, BHVR did not see it the same way and removed the punishment because survivors abused it exactly like I described.

The one I've found recently, is that a lot of survivors are just disrespectful. I play so nice, going out of my way not to tunnel, not to camp, just going for chases to farm bp. And what do I get? tbagging, clickies, keys, dcs, and salty end game chats. I am trying my best to accommodate everyone, so that we can all get lots of bloodpoints and plenty of emblems, but no one seems to care.
It's getting really tiring, I just wanna have a long and fun game but they survivors just wanna speedrun and don't care about my feelings.
'It's getting really tiring, I just wanna have a long and fun game but they survivors just wanna speedrun and don't care about my feelings.'
And yet Survivors on these very forums say it's up to the Killer to ensure the Survivor has fun. Yet, as you pointed out; it never works in reverse. 🤔

I didnt. The moderators did. Why would they remove stuff from my post if it werent true? Weird huh...
Oh, I dunno. Possibly because you were breaking rules or saying something offensive or bypassing the swear filter?
Call me crazy, but those are all reasons to edit someone's post other than 'Duh man's keeping duh truth silent!'

I don't like the sound of that. I would simply give MUCH more bloodpoints. You get only above 600 for DC. Shame.
Well, it's no different from loading into a match sans 1 person; the Survivors start with 1 less gen.
This just carries it over to the start of the match, in case of a salty teammate who gets downed first.

That isn't the reason for most players. Doing this means that survivor gets to have a miserable game for no reason. They didn't do anything to warrant not getting to play the match for more than a couple minutes.
I get that (for some reason) people take this game seriously and want to do absolutely anything to win, but that just makes the game miserable for everybody. The other survivors don't get to have fun being chased and are stuck being M1 bots and the person you tunnel just gets taken out of the game without a break or having any actual fun or a solid chance at a chase, unless they have a good set up.
It isn't about "trying to make sure killers never play optimally for easy wins". It's about making sure everybody gets to enjoy the game.
If being removed from a match in a game where the opponent's goal is to remove you from the match ruins your fun of that game; why did you buy that game?
It's not your opponent's job to ask you if you had enough fun before they kill you. Nor are they selfish for not doing so.

It's okay, OP; Survivor's behavior has been disgusting for years. 😁

I agree it’s unfair for both survivor and killers and ruins everyone’s fun.
Agreed.

I absolutely love that idea! Question is, if youre in a chase, how do you get the killer to walk through it without walking through it yourself? But i love the idea of an illusion perk
Well, perhaps it should be; it looks like it's up to the Killer, but has an aura to Survivors (to let them know it's 'trapped'). ANd until the Killer interacts with it, or a Survivor vaults it, it's 'trapped'.
This way, it will stop a Killer from walking through the dropped pallet (but allow him to break it after he tries), but let Survivors know to not vault it.
