New Perk Idea: Careful Placement

Careful Placement starts with 1/2/2 charges. It can hold 2/3/4 charges. Using it to quietly place a pallet consumes a charge. Normally dropping pallets gives a charge. You Slow Vault pallets 2% faster.

When crouching and not moving, pressing to drop a pallet carefully & quietly lowers it into the Dropped position without a noise notification and only a very faint sound. This consumes a charge.

When a Pallet has been dropped via this perk, it glows to Survivors to let them know it is 'trapped'. If a Killer looks at it; it looks like a normal, undropped Pallet.

If the Killer walks up to it, he can break it (having failed to walk through the 'undropped' pallet since it is actually dropped). If a Survivor vaults the 'undropped' pallet; the illusion is broken, and it looks dropped to the Killer afterwards.

I figure; pre-dropping pallets is a thing, right? Why not the ultimate pre-drop perk! Plus, it synergizes with that perk to lift a pallet that has been dropped!

Also, the speed boost might be too much, but I figure it's only good if you're doing a slow vault. A way to get over a pallet when not being chased.

  • Why would you want to pre-drop a pallet in the first place?

Some Killers need predrops, since they punish if you stun them. I figured that slowly placing a pallet, then running to it in a chase might be worth something.

    Eh, maybe it's a bad idea. ๐Ÿ˜

Not saying it's a bad idea! I think it would be a cool killer perk though. How would this be useful in a situation as survivor, can you detail it to me?

It would be a smidge too OP as a Killer; drop a pallet, then break it.

As a Survivor...Not too sure. I just hear about 'predrop pallets' allot against certain Killers, and figured a predropped pallet could be a trap...Hmm...What if the slow-dropped pallet LOOKED un-dropped until vaulted (or until a Killer tries to walk through it)? So it's a trap that slows him down?

I absolutely love that idea! Question is, if youre in a chase, how do you get the killer to walk through it without walking through it yourself? But i love the idea of an illusion perk

Well, perhaps it should be; it looks like it's up to the Killer, but has an aura to Survivors (to let them know it's 'trapped'). ANd until the Killer interacts with it, or a Survivor vaults it, it's 'trapped'.

This way, it will stop a Killer from walking through the dropped pallet (but allow him to break it after he tries), but let Survivors know to not vault it.

  • Not really into the idea of placing new pallets.. Repairing broken ones though? Sure
