  • If the build goes live like it currently is (which I hope it doesn't) the best legion build would probably be ruin, pop, thrilling, and beast of pray. With back walk back but even better you really don't need chase perks and I think beast of pray is wayy better than nemesis. You don't have to get stunned and when they realize you have nemesis they will just insta drop pallets.

They rub against me before charging chainsaw. That's too close. And annoying.

If they wait that long to chainsaw you that's giving you more time to find a window or pallet so it should be a good thing really.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

Too many Bubbas getting way to close before using their Chainsaw. Also too many times where he clearly should have bumped into something on the side, considering the animation, that gets ignored.

Instant-down in a base kit with next to no work or setup required. Just find and swing!

Leatherface players are also more prone to camping or patrolling than any other killer, Hag being the exception with being able to place 5 traps at my feet. This makes is hard to have fun when all you get to do is sit on a hook until a survivor sprints in as you're about to enter Struggle only for Leatherface to come back and chainsaw them instantly.

And that pig-like squealing that only a stereotypical child of Southerners could do. Bad stereotype aside, it is just a grating noise on the ears.

When you play like this ^ it is not "mistake reliant" it's more exploitative. Especially when 99.99% of times, or more, the chainsaw will only ever hit one survivor.

Your supposed to get close before a chainsaw, that thing has no range. Also he has the weakest insta down in the game so idk why that's annoying. But yes camping leatherfaces are very frustrating to go against.

  • Definitely the worst map in the game. Horrible for almost every single killer in the game and so survivor sided.

  • It's a gif from the spirit spotlight trailer so maybe they are hinted at a spirit change soon?

  • But why though, nurse is fine as is.

  • I feel the same way I wish they were actually challenges and not just tedious and rng based. It should be something like "Be chased for 120 seconds while only dropping 3 pallets" "Hit a survivor with 2 hatches within the spand of 20 seconds" those obviously aren't the best challenges but you can see what I'm going for. Challenges that take real skill and not luck to accomplish.

Splinters have been retired. Well, not retired in the most literal sense, the existing ones are still there, but we don't make new ones. When the store came out and you could start buying killers for shards, they were discontinued. There's no plans to bring them back at the moment.

I understand that for killers such as Legion or Spirit that you can use shards to buy, but shouldn't there be splinters for licensed killers since you can't purchase them with shards.

  • No real tips for aiming it mostly just comes down to practice and experiance. You can practice in kyf to get the basics down. Then make sure you bring flashlights into matches and get some real in game experience. Then after a while it should just become natural.

  • He definently could, I mean his most recent outfit the chrome one was an original skin by behaviour. So they could do a hallowed blight skin for him but I don't think they will it just dosen't fit ghostface imo.

  • I don't get why people are saying it would be unfair for console players. Dbd isn't overwatch or cod where precise aim wins you the game. The only thing they would need to do is up the sensitivity on console so people can 360 like pc players and flick when playing nurse/huntress.

  • Would be more annoying than anything, people would just put that on with discordance and a hospital offering and get get free downs.

Dlc and bugs are two different teams, and operation health FAILED rainbow 6.

They're all just different versions of: bugs exist, dlc shouldnt, but either agree or disagree options. It's not a poll, its expecting a specific answer.

Not neccesarily. I mean if a new killer is being developed they will need the game designers to focus on the killer and their perks instead of balancing stuff currently in the game. Also people who work on fixing bugs would have to focus on the new content and those bugs verses current bugs.

It's crazy to me that there are people who think Bubba is the worst killer. Low tier for the present meta, sure, but worst? I really have trouble wrapping my head around that one.

Look at the top teir killers and what makes them good, their chase potential and map pressure. Bubba has neither of those going for him while clown can at least end chases quickly. The only thing bubba has going for him is the basement and most of the time you will need at least 2 perks to get these and you waste 2 minutes camping while people do gens.

  • Any killer is viable at rank 1 but, that's not because killer is in a good spot it's because rank 1 doesn't mean anything. Anyone can be rank 1 really its really just based off play time and not skill. Saying you can get a 4k at rank 1 with a week killer doesn't mean much. If you try to play a low teir killer against an actual good team you will be lucky to get one kill.

  • Base nurse is fine, yes she is strong but she is balanced. The addons is where the issues arise. Once they change those she will be in a good spot.

But sometimes it doesn't act as if I was wiggling, literally, the action bar stops

I have always used the circle motion on console for over 2 years now and not once has it not registered my wiggle. So maybe your controller is messed up?

  • It's not this new patch that caused this you just got unlucky. The minimum number of pallets that can spawn on a map is 8 so you just got really unlucky.

that would be the biggest disappointment in my life, the thing is i always thought of this, and i wished it would be implemented.

I hope it's a bug because that would be a strange buff, if your healing right next to the killer you should be penalized by having loud groans. It also just wouldn't make sense. I mean someone is touching your wounds trying to heal them with out even any equipment you should be in pain groaning.

  • @Fibijean

In game it says left to right but you can just move the joystick in circles and it does the same thing with a lot less work.

  • It is left joystick for both xbox and ps4

  • Do you think we will see any changes to Mind Breaker in the near future. I feel that when you would want the Mind Breaker effect would be on the latter half of the gen instead of the first half. In it's current state it is just too situational; you would need to be a stealth killer and sneak up on a survivor at the start of the match and the survivor would have to have sprint burst to get any use out of it. Verses when a gen is 90% and you have multiple survivors running around it and tapping and you would get a lot more use out of your Mind Breaker. I think even making Mind Breaker work during the whole gen progression wouldn't be too strong at all.

You are right and wrong with your posting imo, but that I am also for sure sometimes.

You are right that the Legion was very fast and that the counterplay was not always given, but that was either because the Legion had use op addons, or the survivor has put himself in a terrible position and a killer should not be nerfed, because some survivor did something wrong.

A default Legion, you could indeed counter with pallets. Mostly on 2 ways. Either you jump over the pallet and then back (as long as the Legion had frenzy running). If you have done that in the right time, the Legion was not be able to hit you with his frenzy hits. There was a small time window, were the Legion could not hit his victim. I have one time search on YouTube for a survivor and also direct found an tutorial video for that, if you are interested (they are really not hard to find).

And you could simpley pallet stun a Legion. If the Legion got pallet stunned, she had lost all her power. If the Legion had something like Franks Mixtape attached it was nearly impossible to do that, because then the Legion had even the time to stay for the pallet and wait for the survivor, so that he puts it down.

On the other hand, if you had no addon running that changes the frenzy time, you was sometimes pressed to it, to still hunt the survivor even with the danger of a palletstun over your head (no pun intended), because the frenzy time of the Legion was so short in the times back then.

Also the people have and still will probably complain about every killer in the future. You just need to search in this forum and I bet you will find "nerf billy and huntress" threads.

I can remember very well on some nerf threads because of the Huntress hatchets.

Her flyling hatchets (or how ever they are called in english), are also a special abilitie of a killer, where is no counterplay to it, once you got hitten.

You can for sure try to avoid, getting hitten, but once you are - you are down. By the Legion you could at least heal yourself, or get a heal by a friendly survivor.

And all that, you could also see in the statistics. While bhvr was working on the Legion patch, they showed also a "kill rate" statistic of every killer and the Legion was one of the last ones (don't know how good she performes today, since bhvr had taken the fun out the Legion). If I remember correctly, only the Clown was worse in this statistic as the Legion.

Would be there no counterplay and would have been the Legion so op, the Legion would have been not one of the worst killers - she would have instead fight with the best killers for place 1 of the best killrate.

So at the end, the Legion had counterplay. It just had take a different skill as only running around in loops and I have speak with survivors also about that and read also sometimes some of them in this or the steamforums and some of them miss that pressure and that different counterplay the Legion has force them to do.

Of course not everyone has this opinion but as said before, while we as players can either try to see every opinion or decide to see just oure side... A game should ->always<- try to get every playertype on board.

    @Talmeer

I know in the ptb you could definitely pull that trick off every time but (correct me if I'm wrong) if you had high enough sensitivity you could always hit the person trying to vault. With pallet stunning if the legion hit someone and then ran to someone else to hit them they didn't have enough time to wait for the pallet drop but mid chase when they used frenzy on you even without addons they had more than enough time to wait for the pallet drop then hit you. The only consent thing you could do was stand in the pallet then get hit and stun him.

Yea people will complain about anything it's the internet, but with legion it was basically unanimous by the community that he needed to be changed. There were different discussions on how that should happen but almost everyone wanted him to be changed.

With hatches I'm confused on what your saying. "where is no counterplay to it, once you got hitten." Well I mean yea, that's like saying there is no counter play after you get hit with a chainsaw. Because that's not where the counter play is, the counter play with those killers is that you have to avoid there power because it could down you. That's how old legion was, his power was able to down you but there was no way how to counter his power. With huntress or billy there is plenty of counter play to the hatches and chainsaw.

Also I never said legion was too strong and needed to be nerfed. Just because a killer has no counter play doesn't make them the best killer. Chases with legion still lasted a while because he had to hit people so many times and get stunned a lot. So he wasn't the best killer but his chases still had no counter play and it wasn't fun. Just because a killer isn't the best dosen't mean they don't need to be changed.

I agree that killers that require you to play different are a lot of fun. That's why I love huntress and nurse, they change up chases and make you play differently but they do it in a way that still has counterplay and is fair.

Thank you for that. I get so tired of seeing "No Counter Play" as an excuse for nerfs.

    @UlvenDagoth

I never said he needed a nerd, I never thought legion was op he was mid teir at best. Legion did need a change though.

No counter play is a huge issue when it comes to any game not just dbd. If a player feels they have no control over the situation it's not fun. When something is based off luck and not skill it will ruin the experience because with luck there is no outplaying, no improving, no challenge.

I mean just look at spirit, dozens of post a day on how spirit needs a nerf or rework because she has no counter play. People feel cheated when they die to a spirit because they didn't die because they got out played or the player was better they died because they got unlucky. It was the same thing for legion.

Again legion did not need a nerf but he did need a change. Now the way they went about the change I don't like either, it was lazy and poorly designed but I'm still glad he got it. I really do hope he gets looked at soon and buffed but he very much needed a change.

  • I think that definitely vanity mirror should be buffed, in most instances it's just a worse version of the scratched mirror. I don't know about the tombstone because I do feel that myers should have a add on that strong and scary since it fits him very well, but tombstone piece should definitely get removed or changed because it's not fun for anyone when a myers brings a tombstone piece and the obsession stalk addon and get someone out in the first 2 minutes of the game.

You're supposed to be at a disadvantage... at times players seem to forget this is 4v1 if the spirit is chasing you... 3 other people should be doing gens.... IW is not required, I've escaped perkless vs spirits... shes just like most characters if a players bad with her you'll have an easy, if a player has a ton of hours into her your chances of survival are low...

More like if they are playing out of there tv speaker you'll have it easy, if a player has spent a ton of money into a headset your chances of survival are low...

-The pre patch Legion was not the only killer who could do that. Infact, there are killers in the current game who can down you with their m2 attack/s.

-What for the one is unfun, is for a other player fun. If we really start to go down this road, we should delete every killer abilitie and also his main abilitie - to kill survivors.

Some people like to have viable m2 attacks and some people like to be pressured by it.

-If you tell me that a survivor had no chance against a basic Legion without those op addons attached, then you make me chuckle.

-Btt. I am honestly surprised how long the devs need to make a announcement for a Legion rework, or undone of the rework. Every other companie I know would already have done it.

Look at the devs from Frostpunk at example: The people have riot there that the game had no endless mode... After a few weeks where the riot has not stop, the devs announced that they will implement some sort of endless mode and then the riot has stop and everybody is happy.

The devs from dbd seem to have something against making everybody happy. I just can shrug my shoulders to it - its their money what they lost because they doing nothing what this topic matters.

Personally, when I would be able to choose between the normal money dbd brings in and the normal money dbd brings in + a happy Legion community, I would choose the last option.

I don't know how many money dbd makes each month, but it would only be logical that it would be more with a happy Legion community, where Legion players come back to the game after they left it because of the Legion patch and with happy Legion dlc buyers, who don't feel cheated because of the advertisment video of the Legion that shows a totally different Legion as what she is today.

    @Talmeer

The issue wasn't that he had a m2 that could down people because that's fine. The issue was in how his m2 worked to down people. With old legion there was literally nothing you could do to counter his power. When he was in frenzy he was very fast so you couldn't out run him, he could fast vault windows so those were useless, and he could fast vault pallets so those were usless. The only thing you could do was sit at a pallet and get hit the first time then drop that pallet to stun him and get him out of his power but at that point you have to waste a health state and a pallet so it wasn't really viable. When you look at nurse, billy, huntress, etc these killers have powers that potentially were even better than the old legion power but the reason people weren't complaining about those powers is because they were fair and had counter play. I really like legion, I think he has one of the coolest designs and concepts but his old power did need a change. I really hope he gets buffed soon, his power is weak and isn't unique at all.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/678841#Comment_678841

I say required because that's how you and other survivors feel.... the main point is that she makes players think about her when they queue, which is a good thing, more killers should do this but let's face it.... no one is threatened by a wraith or doctor unless you just started playing the game.... it's a way changing the tired meta and getting other perks in the mix which are still powerful.

When you think of running a autodidact healing build you are thinking that it will be really good against a sloppy thano Legion but it won't be as useful against a Plague. I think this is how thinking of what perks you use should be, so I agree that surivors should be thinking about the killers when picking perks verses running bt, ds, adrenaline, dead hard, etc that are good against every killer. But spirit does this in the worst way possible, with spirit if you don't have iron will you will die. Its not a situation were the perk is helpful but its needed. This makes for moments were you load into a spirit match and you don't have iron will and you are now at a gigantic disadvantage. I think that perk and killer variety is a good thing but spirit isn't the example we should be following for this.

  • @Tzeentchling9 said:

People who keep coming on the forums forums whining about her mind games being a "coin flip" should learn to play better and not only leave themselves two avenues for escape and get mad that the Spirit excels in those situations.

Think ahead about where you are going, what she expects you to do, and give yourself more options for her to guess wrong.

    Also Iron Will is meta.

Let's say your at a pallet loop and spirit is on one side and your on the other. At this point you either stand still and she will eventually phase and hit you or you can try to walk away because she is phasing but she was faking it and now your away from the loop and get hit. There is nothing you can do to counter her you just have to hope that the spirit messes up. This is how almost every encounter with spirit plays out. There is no counter play to her and that's why she is so unfun and unfair. Also you should never have to run a perk to counter a killer. Perks can be helpful against specific killers, think small game or urban evasion against hag. They are useful against her but not needed to play against her. With spirit you have to have iron will or else you will always get hit by spirit when she is phasing. She is just a very unfun killer to verse because she has no counter play.

  • It would be boring and unfun for both killer and survivor, you would just be running from pallet to pallet stunning again again. No juking no mind games just pallet stuns.

  • I think most of the hate that Blendette receives is not do to the fact that they hide but that that's all they do. Most of the hate isn't even from killers but from survivors who get these teammates and see them do nothing the whole game and wait for everyone to die for hatch. I'm with you on that fact that stealth really ins't a viable option and something should be done to make it better but saying the only reason people hate on Blendette because they are tying to play stealthy is just wrong.
