As always, my thoughts are merely opinions.

Vaulting windows/pallets while dashing: I'm not sure she needs this. IMO, this would just take away from the identity of the Legion, who is already suffering enough as is.

"Fix" the RNG: I strongly suspect that the user does not understand how the boxes function. There is no RNG involved in actually searching the boxes; either you've found the correct box, or you haven't. Not saying that something couldn't be done in helping with the variance, but it doesn't seem like the person understands the issue.

Increasing crouch speed: Yeah, I think I am okay with this.

Changing the activation of the RBTs: I think #1 (activates upon being unhooked or healing from the dying state) COUUUULD be okay maybe, but that's about it. Even then, I probably wouldn't make it so it activates from being healed. Maybe either from being unhooked or from a gen finishing. I think if someone gets healed off the ground because they were left slugged, they shouldn't be penalized.

Rules Set No. 2 base kit: Not my preferred solution (I prefer first box being auto-fail), but I'm still okay with it.

Jigsaw Box only opens for a Survivor with an active RBT: Not sure what the point would be. At worst, it invalidates RSN2. Survivors now won't have the option of playing it wrong (searching for boxes with no aura) and will effectively be forced into doing the correct thing (doing a gen to activate the trap and see the box auras).

Increase the RBT timer to 3 minutes: Please no. I know this is meant to be done in conjunction with the previous two things, but I'd say just make RSN2 base kit and forget parts 2 and 3.

    Original Reverse Bear Trap:

    1) I'm going to assume that the rarities of all of these add-ons will be adjusted accordingly because this and some others seem like way too much at their current rarities.

    2) This add-on seems really badly designed. It is basically just "Survivor runs to a corner, does an extended mending, and prays."

Shattered Syringe: I'm for buffing Syringe, but this isn't it to me.

    Utility Blade: See above.

Razor Wire: This would have to be at least a Very Rare IMO, and even then I am not sure this is a good idea.

Face Mask: I feel like this still just promotes tunneling the trapped Survivor, which is counterproductive to the goal of RBTS.

Broken Reverse Bear Trap: No. This does absolutely nothing except in the times where it is more powerful than an Ebony Mori, with absolutely no middle ground and no strategy whatsoever. It is about as frustratingly coin-flippy as it gets. Absolutely no good can come from this.

Improvised Reverse Bear Trap: The problem with this is that it means that the Pig now has a 50% chance of being able to just facecamp a Box and make sure the Survivor guaranteed dies. It might not be strategically sound, but it does promote unhealthy, trollish gameplay IMO.

Interlocking Razor: The Razor Wire idea at least can't down a Survivor. This does not have that safeguard, so I am against it.

The Game: I am going to assume that this only works once a Trap becomes active because I refuse to believe that the person who came up with this idea did not seriously do so while also suggesting that RBTs can only be removed once it becomes active. Beyond that, I think this is a really bad idea. Either people just 99% the gens, rendering this pointless, people don't think to 99 the gens and allow the Pig to tunnel the Trapped Survivor to death, or there is a troll in the Survivor team who decides to kill the Trapped Survivor for the memes.

Tampered Timer: I would not reduce the timer any further. I'd be okay with adding another ability to it (potentially in exchange for less time being stricken from the clock), as Tampered Timer either does nothing or everything.

A Worthy Tool: This kinda just basically reads as "Infinite RBTs", and I don't think manually having to recover them from a box is enough of a downside to off-set that.

Amanda's Secret: I'd personally change it to just one person (the Obsession) and remove the downside of RBT inventory reduction. Basically just make it a better Last Will.

Rules Set No. 2: I have no idea why this was made when The Game was also suggested as an idea. I think this has similar problems to The Game (though obviously less bad).

Amanda's Letter: This I am in support of.

Boxes used to be determined by RNG, you would always have a 50% chance of removing the RBT and it could be increased by luck. This is fixed now but it was likely still a bug when the post was made

  • Yes, just, Yes. I love the idea that paranoia will spread among survivors kinda like "The Thing", plus it allows for a totally unique killer. Great concept!

  • Its not made up, its a fact, the POV whether intentionally or not, is based on nature. Also survivors are reactionary, they need to be able to see as much as possible so that it isn't a guess and is instead a test of reaction time and nerve. Just forcing a survivor to constantly look back and forth around a loop would make chases much more luck based, and survivors won't be rewarded for paying attention (since they can't) and killers won't need to try baiting or mind gaming survivors. The main problem is that someone chasing is focused on the prey, someone running needs to see not only the chaser, but the environment around them in order to survive

  • You could have a snare appear below the pallet and drag it in for Freddy, also yes please

  • Who left this broken record playing?

  • Its a team game, you're not supposed to be self reliant, if you get screwed over by teammates it sucks but its part of the team aspect

  • Meh, killers don't need ruin anymore, they have alternatives (Corrupt, Thrilling, PGTW, Dying Light, Thanatophobia, etc.) Plus some killers don't require slowdown perks because their presence alone is able to slow the game down (i.e. Hillbilly, Nurse, Spirit)

  • @Tr0g said:

... and buff them in other areas to compensate. But let them feel the pain of requiring skill to have situational awareness please. You can become a rank 1 survivor by playing mediocre, rank 1 killer, not so much.

    Discuss.

The perspectives are meant to parallel actual predators and prey in nature, omnivores and carnivores ten to have shorter field of view in exchange for being able to focus in better, while prey tend to have a larger FOV and rely mostly on catching movement. Take for example the Rabbit and the Fox, rabbits have spread eyes that allow for a larger field of vision, while foxes are built for speed and although they lack as much awareness that rabbits have, they can see much clearer and focus on their prey

It's not just the crutch ones..the best nurses left too..even streamers who played her at least sometimes have all but stopped..and it's for the same reason..she feels horrible and the base kit change wasnt warranted considering the massive practice needed to master her to start

Most good nurse players didn't enjoy her before either though, once you had the muscle memory down you didn't have to worry and could almost always guarantee a win. Even if she may feel slower (which was the goal of the rework) she is still the best killer, and now with a variation in addons, you never know what kind of nurse you'll go against

  • seems like a cool concept, it would be nice to incentivise cleansing totems more, and I like the idea of survivors getting a benefit from cleansing dull totems against noed even if they weren't able to destroy all of them

I didn't know DBD was beach teamed.

English might not be his first language, could have just been lost in translation

  • Interesting, but I still think it should have an effect on the user, most perks that are team based (i.e. old kindred) don't get too much use, but I still like the idea its a very unique perk idea that could actually allow Ace's perks to get more use

I dont take people saying nurse is best still seriously..because nurse is no longer really around to prove it..I checked my sources..shes all but vanished and that's not a coincidence..and I'll believe what I see from here..what I see is a game breaking bug for survivors got patched instantly..killers then look at this patch hoping for their turn with sounds in chase..just to see what the devs are basically saying was a half baked oni nerf and a ham fisted freddy nerf based off a build that hilariously survivors could overpower and then some but that gen speed is fair to them...so..I'll give them props when due...when they show their priorities are truley for the betterment of EVERYONE..which recently has been hit or miss

Forever Freddy wasn't that powerful against SWF which is definitely true, but the majority of players are solo queue and getting even one bad teammate can ruin the game for you. I appreciate that you aren't just flaming me and I totally understand why the changes are frustrating, I personally hated the Oni nerf (although it seems it won't be permanent). Also, the reason nurses aren't around as much isn't because she isn't strong, its because she is no longer easy, all those omega blink or 3-5 blink nurses have all left, bad nurses now get punished a lot more, but good nurses will still demolish survivors. I personally think its a sign that Nurse was too easy (especially for being the best killer) and that the devs want strong killers to be skill based rather than just picking a killer and guaranteeing a win. P.S. Thanks for responding, I just want you to know I respect your opinions and just wanted to provide some of my own thanks :)

  • Honestly, for the most part, all great suggestions, although personally I believe no mither should stay where it is, it is a fun meme/challenge perk, and I personally enjoy using it if games are going too easy. Although the flashlight change would basically remove clicking at teammates which is literally one of the only reasons I even bring them

  • It shouldnt even be "your side of the fence" don't just look at it from the killer side, Freddy's nerf was due to forever Freddy being really boring when combined with thanatophobia, dying light, and other slowdown perks. I do agree that Yamaoka does need a rework just like many other maps, but don't think that killers are being ignored. So far we've gotten the harvester "tech" re-added and made even easier to make that structure much less safe for survivors, the Nurse changes may have weakened her a bit, but she is now a much more interesting killer with many alternative playstyles and she is still the strongest killer in the game. Insta heals were virtually removed, the three most recent killers are all very good and fun to play, and now with nemesis, perks like PWYF, Furtive Chase, Remember me, and Rancor, will all get some real use. So please, don't act like the devs only care about survivors, because they don't, sometimes they have to prepare before they make changes, because they want to ensure that it will be a good change for both sides.

  • Honestly, a very solid concept that is very well put together, I really hope the devs will take a look

In that situation are you saying that the slugged person is at 95% recovery, you start picking them up, get hit by the killer, and then finish picking the person up? In that case, the killer is going to down either you or your teammate as soon as you finish picking them up. Depending on who they down is going to determine if you get a protection hit or not. Either way, it's a stupid play.

But 99% of the time what happens is, the killer realizes that person has been slugged for longer than 1 minute, so they wait for you to finish reviving them and down them again instantly, instead of trying to swing at you. Then the persons revive bar is reset, and the killer has a free new chase with you and a reason to keep that person slugged.

Best case scenario, you get the person up before the killer gets there, and manage to take a hit for them afterwards. In that case, you will get a protection hit. All the other situations are just bad plays that you shouldn't be making

If they are on a pallet or I have dead hard or a styptic or SB ready or have other teammates nearby I wont go down immediately, there are plenty of opportunities to escape

That would be a very specific case that would only be helping them if they are about to crawl out of the exit gates. It's not helpful in any other situation

It also helps when you are picking someone up just as the killer is coming back, you should be rewarded for punishing killers when they are too greedy and slug for so long

Spirit is literally worse than Freddy, and no one complains about him?

Ask any good player and they'll tell you how incredibly powerful and easy spirit is. Even killer mains have been asking for a rework to make her power fair

And thats the problem fixated doesnt need any change would be way too strong and verty easy to escape specially With iron Will from many scenarios specially against Spirit wich already got nerfed. so no. Use Urban Is the Best bet. The poeple who needs to put stuff together Is people like u who asks for buffs for free without considering both sides. Wich Is very normal here sadly

Spirit is still broken OP, fixated might actually give injured suvivors a chance and you just want it to be easy

  • The medkit charge addons are bugged atm, if you can, run self care and streetwise with botany, it will extend its charges

What? That actually makes no sense. People who use this meme in an argument are usually missing a few brain cells.

    Ok Boomer

  • Where is the Shrek skin for Oni though? he is literally called "The Ogre"

Sounds good on paper, but what if the Killer doesn't run any aura reading perks? This perk will become useless...

BBQ and Nurses calling are more than popular enough to justify using it fairly often, plus you'll atleast know if they have certain perks or not

  • True, for both sides DCing is annoying and I personally have depipped on both sides because of DCs from the opposing team

  • If you're nothing without it, you never deserved it in the first place

  • @Venom368 said:

You aren't protecting them from anything if they are already in the dying state. It's a protection hit when they are injured because you are giving them a chance to run away by forcing the killer into the hit cooldown.

If I'm picking them up/preventing the killer from grabbing them (specifically at the exits) then yeah, I kinda AM protecting them

  • Sounds cool, but not really sure where it would be appropriate to allow

  • If they had Ruin you probably ran into "Ruin Practice" he just sits infront of ruin to force people to do gens with Ruin

  • @Shaai1 said:

Since nurses are blinking way less than they used to, thanks to nerf (rework), it would be nice if +250 / +150 points for blinking got raised a little bit.

    Maybe +300/+200 or +350/+250.

Give us few remaining nurse players some love, please.

    Have a nice day.

Few remaining? There are plenty of good nurse players, although yeah there are less, but I agree, now that only people who are actually good at nurse play her, they deserve to be given a better reward for their effort

  • Autodidact gamers rise up

  • if you're playing with friends, run BT, DS, Dead hard, adrenaline, and make sure to bodyblock and constantly pressure gens, a camping killer can be overcome if you spend your time efficiently.

  • Legion/Plague, they would become such unfun killers, not to mention the plethora of anti-healing perks (thanatophobia, coulrophobia, sloppy butcher, etc.) It just doesn't work since the reason not healing is meta is because there are now so many killers that can very easily injure you

  • I actually love this idea, the first week of level 3 was literally just basement build killers, bubbas and trappers galore. I think that would be a great fix

  • its not actually SWF, its most likely solo queues, the SWF matchmaking system is based on the highest ranked player, in solo queue, I end up against tons of inexperienced killers, but when I play with friends its almost always against a good killer

  • a reduced stagger isnt really that important, most good high up loops can still be run, and all its really done is forced survivors to mix up their pathing rather than just going up and down

  • They actually do, most female characters are smaller and therefore harder to see, but they are much louder, while the men (with the exception of Bill and Jeff) are much quieter but are larger and easier to see

Haven’t you ever been a Hooked survivor and had LF camp in front of you with the chainsaw revved up? Other survivors can’t group rush to save you or they all go down.

So? Any killer can facecamp, the main problem with Leatherface is that he has to catch the survivor first, his chainsaw is so terrible even with good addons it is so garbage. Being good at facecamping doesnt make you OP.

    Don't forget Vodka and Molotovs

  • Personally I just want some Hatchet cosmetics, I'm tired of throwing the same old boring hatchets

  • So I assume you're suggesting something like the hallowed and withering blight, where new cosmetics are introduced for the event each year, while old ones become available to earn again?

  • Leatherface is a joke of a killer, ######### do you mean he's OP?

  • Its not an exploit, the devs actually changed the harvester to allow it to happen more consistently

Ok, here's the scenario that happens a lot for me: I run up to the downed survivor, start healing, tank a hit, finish healing, and then tank another hit for them leaving me on the ground and they escape. Old MoM/WGLF would (potentially) grant me 2 stacks for that situation, but now it only grants one if I go down for that survivor when it should grant 2. Regardless if they get up or not, I'm still sacrificing myself for another person and it leaves me screwed anyways so there's no reason why it shouldn't grant a protection hit.

It wouldn't have granted two, it used to have a 20 second cooldown between hits, also it is likely a bug rather than a balance change since downed survivors are "survivors in need"

  • Huh, thats very odd, personally I really hate Freddy since he slows the game down so much, and Spirit since a good spirit will kill you no matter what you do, just guessing against a spirit isn't really that fun for me, but to each their own, but just dont act like its skill, its entirely a dice roll since a good spirit will catch you no matter what
