yea you're right, ten rounds of killer and I've been sent to red forest and haddonfield against a sweat squad that just sat on gens and camped godloops seven of the times is just me whining i guess. not even an exaggeration btw.
Yeah, i agree. I don't care if they are solo or swf but i don't wanna play Haddonfield or Farm over and over again.
-
Main menu music is dope, chase music is nope.
When i watched ptb gameplay with my gf, it sounded like a boiling kettle in otz's stream. After listening to it on youtube i found out it supposed to be screams. I personally can't stand it at all with the weird pitch now and then and the screaming.
Pyramid heads and deathslingers chase musics are really good and i was hoping for a good one with this chapter too :/
-
Old Freddy was the reason i started playing this game. Unique design and was so much fun to play.
-
Yeah, i waited around 5mins as survivor, switched to killer and also waiting at least 5min right now.
Edit: Gave up the Killer queue after 10mins of waiting now. Might aswell play something else.

They could easily make it so you can mute people's pings or something honestly that could solve that issue of spamming with the cooldown.
Yeah, that would be a good idea. I don't think it would be healthy otherwise.
-
I agree with a lot of others, the second idea doesn't seem that balanced.
If there are 2 gens left than the action takes place where the last 4 gens are. If you give survivors the chance to get stuff where you have no reason to be as killer because there are no gens anymore, than you pretty much can't apply pressure and in most cases its even so much better for the survivors, because they can split up and the killer doesn't even get a chance for a potential snowball.
First idea is kinda ok, even though i can already see people spamming these commands to annoy the rest of the team. Don't know if 20 second cooldown fixes that, if they do it the hole game.
-
If you look back at the halloween event, the only reason they changed something was because people were freaking out everywhere.
Every time the player base gives constructive feedback or they try to reach the devs in other ways they get ignored.
No wonder people try it this way now. Also if you look back at the ptb feedback sub forum, there was constructive feedback on mass.
So they also tried it with feedback first and now they changed the method cause it reached nothing.
But the devs choose to ignore it and now people are mad, what a surprise.
-
They should add a tree house or somrthing like that to the middle tree, with a vault and a drop where you can loop the killer.
A simple hill isn't enough for this map imo.
-
Damn, also with the godlike in caps? 12/10 for creativity.

Not saying self care is a good strategy under these circumstances, but my guess is that they do it less for the 2nd health state and more for being quieter.
Last thing you want is a Devour Hope killer listening his way over to you!
That makes sense from a certain perspective, but on the other hand, if you take the time to self care, your hole team might fall to the exposed effect and that one heal won't bring you or your team back into the game.
I'd say its also the same when people heal, when theres only one gen remaining. If they used that time to finish the last gen, the hole team could get out. If they chose to self care they can take one more hit but no one might get out. I can totally understand if some players are really upset about these playrs or call them bad or egoistic.
Knowing when you should focus on objectives and when theres time to heal is, depending on the pressure the killer has even more, important.

You guys have no idea how it worked back a while ago, when killers dodged, the whole lobby was sent back to the queue screen. Has nothing to do with the post but it reminded me of those times.
Good old times, where you could actually grab people and hits weren't as weird as they are now with dedicated servers.
Imagine people were excited about dedicated servers back then.
The new lobby system and the fact you don't have to invite your friends again, if someone leaves, is a real qol update though.
-
The best lobby theme is the one from stranger things (demo) imo.
The best chase music has pyramid head by far. Deathslingers chase music is also pretty good.
-
Both easy to play, both hard to master.
-
Round about 1550 hours including:
- All Perks on every Killer (9 of these are P3)
- 3 Survivors with all perks (none P3)
- Level 50 on all other Survivors
I started playing with the release of the Clown chapter and finished the listed things above with the blight chapter.
I usually get every perk on each killer and my 3 main survivors before the midchapter.

@Aneurysm said:
Playing at night means more swf and more people who take the game Very Seriously so not that many are inclined to play killer. I'd only play survivor myself at that time if the queue times weren't ridiculous.
Same goes for me. I'd also play survivor if the queue times weren't that high.
However, the killer games im getting during that time are either the sweaty ones (map offering included) or some purple or green ranks, which let their teammates die on hook just to selfcare in the corner. Either way it's not fun to play Killer during that period of time.
Also i can pass on playing farm maps or haddonfield over and over again. Because nowadays people have to annoy their opponents, just to have a even higher queue time. Makes sense.
-
I voted GF, but we all know the real ones are bubba and billy with tinkerer, trail of torment or dark devotion.

The numbers you put in here make it seem like you have no idea what you are talking about my guy. 5% haste is such a big deal it might as well be like an entire extra hook state.
I agree with that.
Also beeing exhausted as a downside is nothing bad at all, it makes me feel like people really rely on these perks. I haven't been using exhaustion perks for years (except for adrenaline for my endgame build). Also I usually run random builds and i don't do bad in chases.
But 100% increased healing, 5% haste and 10% vaulting (that can be stacked with other vaulting speed perks btw) is nothing near balanced with exhaustion as downside imo.
-
Usually almost every Killer. Although there was an increase of Freddys, Spirits and a lot of Huntresses this week.
-
As Killer i feel like its a waste of time, most of the time. When i hook someone in the basement i have to pressure people elsewhere or commit to this one hook in the basement and i usually go for the pressure if i don't want to lose multipile gens. So going downstairs for a hook is not valuable if you don't want to play around the basement.
As Survivor it's not really fun to get out of the basement against certain killers or if the killer straight up stands at the stairs theres not really something you can do usually unless everybody just brings in a lot of strong perks.
I don't like basement overall but i would not ask for it to be removed either. It can help you win games sometimes as killer but it's a waste of time in most cases and a fun destroyer for survivor.

The devs have dropped numerous bug fixing patches with literally hundreds of bug fixes since the killer lock went in. Again, the concept that they arent removing it, because that might cause a bug to occur, is absolutely ridiculous.
So if i understand correctly your argument why they didnt switch it back is because they don't want to admit a mistake?
You give them credit that they can easily fix bugs but they wont change the ability to switch killers back, even tough a lot of people asked for it, because they dont want to admit a misstake or because of their ego?
That argument is ridiculous.

The concept that removing a problematic thing that has caused killers to quit or switch sides, and caused survivor ques to skyrocket due to even more dodging now, just because it might cause a small bug that they then would have to fix, is ridiculous.
The bug i mentioned was one of many, there were some more but that was the one that personally annoyed me the most.
Some problems that need to be fixed aren't that easy to fix and can cause the appearance of other bugs in other sections. If they can avoid bug fixing im pretty sure they will take the opportunity to do so, especially because they want to bring back MMR, so they also have a reasonable argument not to change it back.
-
Before the MMR was introduced there were some bugs like your offerings didn't appear when switching to another killer in the lobby.
I honestly could imagine they'd have to deal with these bugs again if they change it and they might not want to do that because MMR is coming back soon™. They might see that as a waste of time.
At least thats what i could imagine beeing the reason.
-
Trail of Torment.
Undetectable is especially strong on Insta down killers and if you can break LoS it can lead to quick downs really fast.
-
I honestly don't really see where you draw the line between camping and the new moris.
Make your choice has a limited range and insidious only works if you stand still. The moment you get back to the hook to down the unhooker they have at least a decent amount of time to react to that because they hear the TR.
Insidious hook camping is always annoying but at least you can DS the killer now if he wants to immediately hook you again.
The new mori change was definitely necessary (keys changes too) and i don't think it encourages camping more than before.

Don't worry, I also hate scratched mirror, I find it really unfun to play against.
Just hold W and vault a few windows, it's hard for him to catch up.
Yeah i agree.
Also don't forget the fact that T1 Myers has no TR and BT doesn't work. If he stands next to you and you have no DS you're pretty muched screwed.
At least this happened to me the last 2 times i played against a scratched mirror myers.
-
Claudettes/ Blendettes, by far.
They are either useless or toxic.
Also lets keep on making cool looking outfits for this character even though everyone is using the P3 outfits so they can blend.
-
Feng may not has a christmas outfit but at least she has one of the greek legends collection and a Halloween skin.
Kate has not even one of the three.
Bikini Kate when BHVR?
Edit: Forgot the halloween skin.
-
Im not really a fan of that idea. That encourages killers to slug to get the mori animation if only 2 survivors are remaining.
Some people already want their 4k so badly that they will extend a match for 10+ mins and if you add a animation for that you can bet they want it even more.
Not something im looking forward to.
-
I usually don't run a particular build to have fun, i enjoy switching my perks and use all perks from time to time.
Although, one build i really like is: autodidact, empathy, solidarity and a perk of your choice.

What am I looking for? You uploaded an entire 4 hour stream
Im sorry if it didnt come with the timestap i set. Bloodwarden isn't working on at least the twins and survivors can leave the exit gates while its active.
-
Got another one if you don't already have this:
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/821999237?t=00h47m22sEdit: TL;DR: Bloodwarden isn't working properly (on the twins at least) and survivor can leave the gates while bloodwarden is active.

I ran NOED / Blood Warden and the add-on that shows the pounce location for a handful of games until I was comfortable enough with the power to move on to other perks and add-ons.
I think my second game as Twins I had some fool clicking a flashlight and teabagging at me at like 4 gens left. But they didn't have DS because they were playing the new character so the joke was on them; as they got tunneled and camped to death.
Did bloodwarden work properly in your game? Im curious, because in otz stream he got to use it but the survivor could pass through the gates like there wasn't anything blocking the gates at all.

Deathslinger is more balanced than Huntress, but the fact she's probably the most popular killer that people main (including me) nobody wants to talk about it.
Honestly, this is so true.
Makes me laugh every time i verse a huntress and go down behind walls multiple times cause of the hitbox/latency.
And people say deathslinger is unfun to verse, even though a lot of shots go right through survivors and don't count at all.
-
I definitely wanna try out the new killer, even though that interest might go away pretty fast after some matches. Also i want to goof around with the new oppression perk.
I don't really like the new survivor perks except for power struggle, which i also wanna use to goof around, but thats it. Also i can't stand the new Survivor.
Therefore i will buy it with shards, if i don't change my mind.

Well, that's a different problem that Shelter Woods shares with Rotten Fields from Coldwind Farm and Wrecker's Yard from Autoheaven Wreckers. It's just the way they wanted to make one map for each of those realms: they didn't want a main building to be there for whatever reason, even though I'm pretty sure everyone would appreciate to have one there.
Yeah, i agree.
Altough i'd say wreckers and rotten are more fun to play, because you have the bus/crane/harvester you can use on top of the normal tiles.
Shelter woods has two rocks and a pallet for the most part.
-
Personally, i don't think a simple hill is enoguh to make this map more fun.
They could add some kind of tree house or platform for the middle tree, where you can go up with a gen on top and a vault with a drop similar to the gallow platform from glenvale. They could also make the tree hollow and add a vault in there to make the tree somehow usefull for looping.
They could make many changes that would change the map and make it more fun to play and more appealing and i definitely would love to see that. Cause right now it has nothing else than a giant tree that you can not even use.
-
I really liked the suggestion a streamer made: The broken effect persists until the survivor gets downed.
Insta downing sounds a bit too strong.
-
Demo is fun to play, having a chase and a map travel ability feels always good. Also Mindbreaker and Surge are okay perks and definitely fun to use.
If you really want a specific perk from leatherface or pig you should consider buying one of them first, otherwise i'd say Demo is a solid choice.
-
I think i will try: Corrupt/Discordance, BBQ, Ruin + Undying.
By the looks of it the twins ability can cost you a lot of time, therefore i would go with a stall build.
-
The reason is that some actions "lock" you into the animation while others can be canceled.
Destroying a pallet or reloading with deathslinger locks you into an animation. During that time you can't perform anything else and you have to wait until the animation is over. Reloading with clown and kicking a generator can be cancelled.
Beeing able to cancel certain actions can give a decent advantage. For example: You can trick a survivor as trapper to leave a loop by faking a trap setting in front of the pallet. You start the animation, then immediately cancel it and most of the time the survivor sees you starting the animation and starts running away from the loop. That allows you to catch up (also you dont have to run the loop) and get a hit on them.

I usually run Monitor on her so yes. Why?
Just curious, because if you dont use monitor/shadowborn and switch to it, it looks like you move faster because of the increased FOV. But since you were using it before i don't think thats the case then.
-
Have you switched your perk layout lately to monitor or shadownborn?

I'm going to make myself wildly unpopular with this opinion, but people buying the skins early has, in my opinion, nothing to do with 'wanting to support the game', and everything to do with simply wanting to buy a cool, good-looking skin. When I buy a skin, the thought 'let's support this company!' doesn't even cross my mind once. I just want that skin because I like it.
However, I strongly agree that refunds would have been the right thing to do here. The only reason I didn't buy any of the skins before the major discounts is because I simply didn't have the currency to do so. I truly feel bad for everyone who lost their money/shards here.
Thats definitely true, but as i said before, some of us could have spent these shards on chapters but we were buying them with real cash, so we can spent the shards on upcomming outfits (theres more ways but thats just an example).
I personally say sometimes, that i'll buy this, even tho i don't really need it, because it also supports the game/company/etc. (Not refering to dbd alone but other games or board games).
Totally agree with you, that we buy cosmetics cause we like them, but the way people handle their ingame currency/money is different and they also handle it with different thoughts.
-
I'd say it's pretty obious for most if us that bhvr would never ever refund based on how greedy they are. I was personally hoping they still would fix this mess somehow but at the same time i was definitely aware that this would likely never happen.
Its just sad to see how many people are now trash talking about this topic. Also its mostly these guys that spammed their social medias about the event in the first place, i.e. not the direct supporters. It's really sad to see the people that actually supported are now the ones getting punished.
We know that everything we bought doesn't have to get refunded but if they do that for the price of throwing a lot of players over then i really hope this will have a harsh aftermath for bhvr. If you want to keep your customers you should watch out for them and keep them happy.
I personally was having a lot of fun with dbd again, because of the new feng outfit, 2 days before they announced the discount. Now i don't. I just have this constant feeling of betrayal and distaste against bhvr that i simply can't enjoy the game or the new outfits.
Thanks for everyone that supported us in this case and hasn't got hit by this @GodDamn_Angela , @TragicSolitude (sorry if i missed someone).
Also just to be clear: Saying you get one outfit for free now is not the same as getting all outfits for 9000. If you have any slight understanding of simple math than you should know that theres a differnce bewtween a lose of 43.200 shards and a lose of 18.000.

No, i'm not mad.
The whole point is: I bought 2 skins for 21k each and one day later they are 9k each. So i want a refund not only for me but everybody who bought for 21k. This has nothing with the free Iridescent and Bloodpoints.
Also iridescent shards are free currency but is earned by playing the game. If you lost hundreds of hours you would be requesting the same thing.
Just try to put yourself in the other people shoes before trashtalking.
Thanks and good luck.
The thing is, they didnt even need to refound. All they had to do is leave the price as it was and give everybody more shards as login reward.
Easy fix, but they decided to punish others instead, because we could spent that shards on other skins and they wouldnt want that.
Talk about only money in their eyes.
-
They did it guys. Outfits are out for 9k shards now and no response for the ones that already bought it. Thanks devs for [Bad WORD] us over.
-
You can really see that this bothers him too and he's pretty much right on so much points. We have followed this [BAD WORD] for so long without changes in the way the community is asking for at all. Just money, no performance and they always say they are a big enough team to fix things simultaneously but it still takes more than 6 months to change a simple number of a perk.
-
Im sorry but i can't get over this so i have to bring it up again.
Why are the people who bought the skins earlier (i'd say a lot of us even waited for the official confirm of no serum in the battle pass this year) and who are actually supporting the game now beeing punished with the skin discount?
Some of us buy the chapters with real money and save the shards for cool outfits, while others bought the new cosmetics with cells and now could get them so much cheaper for shards. Im honestly speechless. We were actually supporting the game, even when some of us aren't happy at all with the ways the game is going but still hoping for the best and now we feel like getting backstabbed.
Having the playerbase complain about the event is bad, but punishing some of them by trying to fix that is even worse. This is such a harsh feeling of betrayal that i can't get over with. I really can't.
I really hope you reconsider your desicion and don't screw some of us over in such a bad and unnessecary way.
-
Ye, please reconsider the way you want to handle this or the community will be even more mad than before.
Having no event is one thing but having some of the community members lose shards because of that is even worse.
-
Yup, i also bought 2/3 of the feng outfit when it was pretty much clear that there won't be any serum this year.
I don't know how they do it but they pretty much seem to have some kind of skill to make the community mad over and over again.
