The thread you are looking for got closed but is still on the forum: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/302555/2022-killer-mains-the-most-dedicated-content-creators-from-each-individual-killer/p1
It's a nice list of great killer players.😁
Ahh awesome thank you so much!

Look at otz FAQ he have a build for every killer with different perk depending where you are in your progression
I've watched his videos already. Hence why I'm looking for more than the bigger names. Thank you though!
-
Oh wow. I feel dumb for even asking now.
-
And while I've got your all's attention, Jolt is the rename to Surge, correct?

It's always easier to get 4x BBQ than 4x WGLF. 4x WGLF involves throwing the game or getting yourself killed alot of the time; on top of killer just getting more BP in general.
Oh, really? I've never used it before, just thought the build looked interesting.

Killer gives more BP.
Thank you! I wasn't sure with the Altruism from survivors.

If that is the whole story then you got unlucky having some of the troll people as your fellow survivors. That happens and if you feel it deserves a lot of time from you, you should save a video and report the case. I've reported some people that I met all the time that were teaming with the killer or sandbagging or whatever and as I haven't seen them around I assume reporting them does something.
I dont know what I could have done wrong to get her to sandbag me; the match had just started and I was on my first gen. I'm not even sure our paths had crossed at this point. Nobody had been hooked yet, and far as I know, that was the first chase of the game.
@IronKnight55 said:
It sucks when you get teammates like that, but it probably pissed them off even more when you didn't help them. I'll usually help teammates like that, and they usually start playing nice. You could've reported them.
I probably should have swallowed my pride and helped them, even if they did continue to lead the killer to me. (Not saying they would have, but they seemed perfectly okay with throwing me under the bus to save themselves). The rest of the match they followed me around, trapped me, and pointed me out to the killer whenever they could. Not to mention the whole hook incident.

That's exactly why I asked. I guess everyone experienced it, even without an obvious reason. But if someone says "I got them bothered" it makes me think they know they did something that provoked them. Some people lack the ability to see their mistakes, like someone I played with. He sandbagged someone multiple times because he thought they brought him the killer. He runs bond every match and therefore assumes that everyone knows where the other survivors are. He also tends to do save gens in the corner of the map. That person had no perk or item to find survivors and did the right thing: leave the area in the middle with the 3 gen where others were working on a gen to solve the 3 gen problem. He was and is too stubborn to admit that he made a mistake and that it was his fault the other two (a team as well) left him to die on his next hook. There are a lot of people like that and they obviously wouldn't say "I got them bothered" even if they did something that would explain the behaviour. So I guess we aren't told the whole story and I like to have the full picture in order to give advice or a statement. Cause that guy I played with would probably have some incorrect storys painting a picture of sandbagging or bad teammates, when he brought it all to himself.
As I stated in my OP she deliberately sandbags me, standing there trying to get the killer to notice me. I, in return, did not help her when she was hurt. This is why I said I got them bothered.

What does "I got them that bothered that they focused their entire game on me"? Sounds like you did something to make them or at least one of them angry. What did you do?
For doing thr generator instead of helping her.
-
Oh trust me, there is.

Opponent’s grades aren’t totally nothing, grades reflect recent playtime and more playtime is correlated with higher skill. It’s just not as strong a link as some people think.
That makes sense.
Well then, what I was first trying to say in my other thread seems to be partially right, when you're matched against higher graded players aka higher skilled players, somethings not right, or as I put it, is amusing.
-
@cantelope said:
Every 13th your rank awards you bp before being reset. Thats its purpose.
Oh, yeah. Forgot about that.
@dugman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725502#Comment_2725502
To clarify, I think the original post is asking more about why we see opponent’s grades. Your own grade is relevant because of the bloodpoint award each month, but opponent’s grades are irrelevant and could be removed from the endgame screen. (In fact one of the devs commented last month asking for feedback on whether they should remove opponent’s grades so it’s definitely something they’re working on or considering.)
Well, kind of, yeah. I wanted to talk about this in my other thread about a match I got where it was a bronze up against 4 iridescent. I'm aware grades and mmr have nothing to do with eachother, but if they mean nothing, then what's the point of having them there? Because 4 iri vs. 1 bronze looks like it would be a severe beat down, despite the matchmaking, if the grades were actually based on skill. It's just pointless and I'm salty.
-
Since my other thread was closed, I know MMR has ######### all to do with rank but it seems kind of pointless to get thrown in a match where you're out ranked tremendously. And this is because, I assume, of poor matchmaking aka MMR.
-
It just amuses me so.

To be fair. My daughter is 8, turning 9 and she grew up in a gramer houshold - don't get me wrong, we do all the outdoorstuff, but on rainy days or in the evening, when there isn't much time left, she plays Bears can't drift , Paw Pateol, Lego Star Wars, Harry Potter or Catleateral Damage. Or she plays with one of my Sims households and she has a lvl 4 mage in wow. But she can hardly control the Mage or the Sims (click, lock target, move, select spell or action, quickly adjust to new situation, counterspell, repair a broken sink, don't let the food burn, finish homework, shower, go to work, find quest area...). So if this isn't an especially gifted kid that does not have any other hobbies, I guess he was just "kidding"....
Or my daughter just sucks at Wow and Sims, but is doing fine with her games in her age-range.
He got on the mic, he was definitely a baby. My cousins play games like Call of Duty so I guess it shouldn't surprise me but like, the whole reason he added me in the first place because I was his teammate and tbagging him to let me heal him and he thought it was funny. But no way would I have done that if I knew kid was only 8, jesus.

Oh of course, thank you!

Yes how is a kid even playing this game lmao. Im 19 so
That's what I'm saying! Honestly though, I make my cousin sometimes play and he's 9 but he's not really into it. To come across an 8-year old who's asking me, "do you minecraft?" felt so odd/off.
I don't know, based on my cousins I consider ten starting to mature and I consider DBD a mature game and even at ten you are still EXTREMELY immature.
I'm not totally sure I feel comfortable playing against 8-year olds honestly.

Honestly noed really doesn't go well with his power. Like, at all- using it and relying on it turns you into the zoning creature that everyone expects you to be, getting rid of a lot of free hits through survivors just not expecting you to do things, since you'll want the M1 for the insta-down. Hell if survivors know you have it they'll force themselves into animation locks to tempt you into using your power on them so they get a speed boost to run away.
In terms of the actual endgame itself, though, outside of just hoping the matchmaking gives you teams relative to your skill level, it's possible to substitute out a perk for No Way Out. You should still be hooking people, definitely if you continue to use BBQ, so you should get that 60 second gate block. Alternatively, a friend of mine uses M&A instead of Corrupt to help lessen survivor reaction time and thus weaken the W key meta.
I guess it's just kinda a case of... Idk, practicing? It took me near enough a year to get to a point I felt comfortable making that guide and I know now I'm leagues above where I was when I made it. Practice makes perfect, and the more you play the better you'll be.
However, if you find yourself relying on NOED to get kills (and not like get a third after already killing two, I mean no kills and noed saves your ass) I would absolutely take it off. Irl artificially inflate your MMR so the system pairs you with stronger and stronger survivors, and you'll limit your room for growth because you'll always have that perk to fall back on. Not to mention you won't get it's assistance when you truly need it- vs the coordinated SWF groups.
So, uh, yeah. I guess practicing? Watching over your own gameplay if that's an option can help you realise where you made a mistake, and learn from it. However, don't beat yourself up over mistakes!! It's okay to fail, it's a video game, and if you beat yourself up over missing a POTD for example it'll just leave you feeling demoralised and #########.
Sorry for the rant, I haven't actually slept in like over a day at this point and my brain is a mess 🏃
Thank you!
-
So we all agree 8 is crazy, right?
-
Okay Karu, I've read you're guide and my PH looks like yours but I'm struggling in endgame without that crutch of a perk NOED. Is there anything that can be done to help in those last moments? Or has all thats been said all that there has been to be said about it?

I'll admit I do that, but I always bring gloves with me.
I remember I once spawned right next to a Feng and sabotaged one hook right next to her. She started following me around teabagging.
Not sure if she realised when the killer didn't come for us or after end game that I had gloves on lol
Probably not lol

@gemjas said:
I'm not sure why your go-to method to get it was to let everyone die? I did this challenge the first time I tried it.
I just brought an offering to spawn the hatch by the shack and then played normally. When gens were done, I 99'd one gate, made sure the other was also 99'd, and then I hid near shack. Everyone ended up escaping and I got the hatch. It actually sounds way harder to hide and wait until everyone dies.
I've done all of the survivor challenges and most of the killer challenges, and none of them required me to throw the game. Need to sabo hooks? Bring the add-on that doesn't alert the killer. Need to get unhooks? Bring Kindred + Borrowed Time.
Congratulations.
Everytime my team ended up escaping, there was always that one person who waited til the last second to escape, even when I brought the offering for it to spawn in the shack.
After the calling out, I did learn my lesson and played better. I'm not really sure it made a difference as far as the challenge went though.

If I can't complete the challenge passively through natural gameplay, it's not getting done. I'm not doing anything suboptimal for the sake of a challenge or running bad perks. Honestly, I get pretty annoyed when I'm playing to win and teammates are playing to complete challenges
The only time it really bothers me is if they're doing the sabo hooks and immediately start sabotaging right beside you. Like, they're sabotaging the hook AND you.

A while back I was doing the Tome challenge where you have to sacrifice someone during EGC. I wasn't really trying for it but happened to get someone on hook and I thought screw it I'll camp hard. Hats off to the other team mates they tired everything they could do get their team mate off hook. They eventually did get them off hook but at that stage everyone was injured from me hitting anyone that got close. Everyone ran out but a Dwight (who did the save) and I was able to corner him. I got my challenge but I felt so bad for it. Wanted to apologize but they were all console players. It's not my playstyle but in the heat of the moment I dropped my morals.
DBD + Tome Challenge = Dropped Morals

No, of course it is.
Just seems you will be punishing those that are innocent of the BM that seems to bother you.
Projecting this on survivors that don't engage in these behaviors.
I say, play how you would like to verse, and that way you're always winning.
The problem is that a lot of these survivors will be bm free throughout the whole game and then get to the exit gate and bm the ######### out of me. The "innocent" ones are so rare these days. If I punish a few buy going hard against the majority then I'm still accomplishing my goals.
-
@Clevite said:
I mean what do you want from these posts?
To generalize a percentage as the whole.
To threaten to not give the hatch to survivors you couldn't have anyway as they were already at the door?
To continue the US verses Them threads?
What is the point? Certain people are going to BM regardless of the role they play.
Altering your own behaviors or playstyle because of them would be becoming the very thing you hate and allowing strangers to change the essence of you.
So who really wins here?
I'm not sure. I guess to make those aware that when they're t-bagging they're not just hurting themselves, they're hurting their whole team. I don’t know. Maybe to vent out my frustration? Is that not allowed?

That one's good as well although personally if your gonna run a hex I think you should run ruin or haunted grounds
I mean personally I don't like hexes because nowadays with the boon meta people are scoping for totems right from the start and devour is a amazing perk but the issue is once you got 3-5 stacks on it when you hit someone and they go down instantly it lets the whole team know you have it
So then they go looking for it even harder
But those are some good builds just try and relax and enjoy playing the game Ik personally these days I don't care much about getting 4 kills I just wanna hit some sick shots
Yeah I think I'm just going to try a few different ones out and see what works best for me. Who knows, I might just like my original build beat! (I doubt it though) and you gotta love a sick shot!

The only thing that still got under my skin were problems with the game itself like map design and bugs but MMR was the last nail in the coffin and I'm on break from the game till bhvr learns how to code and make fun killers again.
I almost wish it was the technical stuff that bothered me. I hate that I let the emotional stuff get in the way of my good time.
