This is not a Knight problem, its a perk problem. You could do this with any high mobility killer like Blight, Billy, Nurse and even Wraith.
-
Hes similar to old Freddy when he still had his slowdown addons. You can loop them endlessly, Legion even more so cause he hasnt got a power to down you. The game just goes on forever cause you constantly mend, which is even less interesting than doing gens. With an inefficient team, its horrible.
I still think Legion is one of the worst killers against a team that know what theyre doing, but hes incredibly boring.
-
These are not exploits by any means. You can hook trade against Knights, just like you can against any killer without an insta down. If you are struggling with that, its a skill issue. After unhooking the guards dissapear anyway, so you will not get two-tapped. The only thing Knight is really good at is holding 3-gens, but thats a perk issue, not the killer power.

I think those are intentional. You can never be too sure with Behavior, but I just consider those part of mastering the saw. Being aware of all the objects that can cause a bump is a key aspect to learning a chainsaw killer.
It is kind of like how a Huntress needs to learn which gaps are real and which ones are illusions.
Its completely fine if they want to keep it as a solid object. But then it needs collision for both the survivor and the killer with or without a chainsaw. These kind of inconsistencies dont seem intentional.

McClean is no longer with BHVR. McClean also didnt consider hug tech a bug...Yet BHVR does...So.
He did consider it a bug. Live, on a stream.

They specifically said that the speed was intended. I guess they caved to crying once again
The addon description never said anything about increased blink speed.
-
These forums exist to talk about current problematic things in the game. Nurse, and especially her new range addons (which are intended apparently) are one of those problems. If the community keeps posting about it, they will likely do something
-
Nerfing the 10 strongest perks is obviously much easier than buffing all weak perks, and also much more effective. For this they needed basekit changes, which they did. With the exception of Off the record and maybe Overcharge, i think they did a great job.

I read your post and I'm saying literally nothing has been buffed, her addon increased her blink speed all the time.
Well thats just wrong. But its fine if you believe that. It actually first occured in 5.6.0 was later patched and re-introduced in 6.0.0

Nothing has been changed, it DID worked as exactly same all the time, what are you talking about even?
If you read my post, so will see that i explained it in detail. The change isnt recent if thats what you mean.
-
You can disable it in the config files.
-
Would easily be the strongest survivor perk in the game. Using strategic hooks to force survivors into certain areas is the key skill to playing killer. This perk completely deletes that.
-
If you choose to wait out corrupt its your doing. You could just go and find an unblocked genarator.
-
Doctor: Rarely
Hag: Almost never, and all of them will have Shackles+Mint rag
-
I hope youre joking. If you DC frequently it can go up to hours of penalty anyway. Since you can oftem be forced to DC because of hackers, bugs or bodyblockers, 5 minutes is more than enough.
-
A devotion shop for exclusive skins would be cool. Would finally give me something for my ridiculous playtime.
-
I wouldnt call it extreme desync. There is certainly frequent micro stutters but that happens with a lot of new patches. Will be fixed soon im sure.
-
I cant remember a state of the game more bugfree and polished than it is now. People are tired of SBMM and the never changing Meta, and BHVR isnt trying to fix any of it.
-
No, this would be highly abusable. Like in any other video game, a match with someone leaving is not going to be great. MMR should be adapted and thats it.
-
I have noticed a lack of Twins since they came out.
-
The devs dont seem to realise who unhealthy dead hard is for the game. If they rework it I might actually be motivated to play it more again.
-
I have a simple solution: Just dont care. People who feel the need to BM you in a video game probably have nothing else going on in their lives to exert power.

It only "didn't work" because survivors literally did not know how to do it.
Search reddit/youtube for people complaining about ghostface's reveal mechanic and it's all videos of people doing it wrong.
I tried everything. I know youre supposed to put him in middle-top of your screen but that still didnt work. You could be staring directly into his face and get exposed. I got used to it and eventually didnt even try anymore and rather focus on running him for 45 seconds but it was very frustrating.

Because until David was revealed to be gay, the game was filled with straight relationships. Nurse+Wraith, Nurse+Husband, Frank+Julie, Felix+Wife, David+GF, Dwight+Female crush.
If they think thats an issue they should think of a new character that actually makes sense to be LGBTQ. Announcing a random character to be gay all of a sudden is just forced inclusion and doesnt feel genuine.

Legion is auto loss of your team can't play well.
No other killer is that broken.
Legion just pushing m2 and he injures every survivor and knows their location almost all the time, on small maps he has map wide killer instincts. No counter to his aura read, no counter him injuring you.
You just hold m1 again and again and again and again and again, he is stacked with every slowdown imaginable.
He is way above Freddy and Wraith before nerf, he is the new king of free and easy wins, abuse him as long as you can
You must be brand new. Legion has NOTHING in chase. You can run them forever. I still think hes one of the weakest killers in this game.
-
Legion is still the exact same. Hes got no 1v1 potential, so chases against good survivors can last minutes. His addons are much better now but by no means oppressive and his 5th hit pretty much doesnt happen ever if survivors play smartly.
-
I dont understand why BHVR felt the need to bring sexual orientation into DBD. I didnt think of any character as Straight or LGBTQ, cause it simply doesnt matter. It couldve happily stayed this way.
-
They dont design this game for good players
-
I only ever get validated on hatchets
-
Yes it does and that makes sense with certain killers: If your Trapper MMR is maxed, its very likely you will be able to play killers like Pig or Wraith at similar MMR.
It doesnt make sense with all killers though. If I have a 1900 MMR M1 killer, I wont all of a sudden be able to play Nurse or Huntress at that same MMR. That is definitey something they shouldve thought about
-
Yes, apart from visuals the game is extremely similar to when I started in 2018

I keep hearing this everywhere. Its still a necessary change
Dont get me wrong, they shouldve changed this years ago. I just feel like people blame it on everything. I have a little bit of comp experience where probably 90% of survivors play stretched, and it doesnt make a huge difference. There are certainly loops like Autohaven Jungle Jims or hay tiles on Coldwind where you notice that you face a stretched survivor, but the general impact is very minor in my opinion. What does have a huge impact and is a much bigger problem in my opinion is game filters. My friend showed me this: You can basically delete every colour from this game and make it completely black and white while heavily intensifying red, which makes the killers red stain basically visible through walls. Ive tried this once and it basically feels like cheating.
-
How about adding a brightness switch into the game? Make the maps darker by default and let people choose how bright they want their game to be.
-
I think people will be surprised how little impact this will have.
-
Its fine to have weaker killers just as its fine to have weaker perks. Not every killer can be Nurse
-
Evaluating strenght is not the point no, but obvious flaws should be pointed out so the devs are aware of them. Thats exactly what the PTB is for

nerfing a perk because almost every survivor uses it is not a valid reason, but I agree DH needs a change.
If almost every survivor uses a certain perk its concerning

Ooh, these ones are interesting... Let's take 'em one by one, I love these little list deals!
Ruin: This one is unfortunately not a great idea. As someone else pointed out, just making actions take longer isn't particularly fun design, and while it is defensible when it's a hex, Ruin right now is actually pretty well balanced since it rewards killers for pressuring survivors off generators.
DMS: Fully agree, I was genuinely a little surprised to learn that this wasn't how it worked already. It still works out well for the killer since it encourages survivors to group up instead of splitting pressure across multiple generators at once, so I'd be totally on board with this change.
Dead Hard: While I agree with you on what the problem with DH is, I don't know that this would fix it, it'd still be obnoxious and annoying. I'd propose making it so that, after using DH, you can't interact with pallets or vault spots in any way for a few seconds, so using it for distance is dramatically less viable.
Iron Will: Agree, but with the caveat that No Mither should have its reduction increased to 100%, so that it's a more viable perk with a hefty downside. If you want total stealth, you should have to give something up for it, right?
Prove Thyself: I'm... not convinced this perk is actually a core problem when it comes to generator speeds, I think other perks might be better to look at. I genuinely don't know about this one.
-
And to tackle someone else briefly...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805019#Comment_2805019
The question is, what killer perks are there that can be nerfed? In order to bring in some hefty nerfs to killer perks, they'd have to be universally problematic, or at least problematic on a majority of killers instead of just two or three. I'd argue no killer perks actually fit that criteria, the unbalanced parts of the killer meta come from the powers and addons that people bring more than anything else- and those should be looked at, I'm not implying otherwise.
The killer meta perk-wise is also a majority slowdown, and those are perks that are necessary due to the current state of the game; you can't nerf those without also nerfing generator speed increases, the same way you couldn't nerf Borrowed Time or Decisive Strike without also giving survivors some way of avoiding tunnelling in the base game. Some perks cover flaws in the game design, and nerfing those is a bad idea until those flaws are addressed.
I completely understand where you are coming from i terms of the Ruin change. My problem with Ruin is this: Its either completely useless or an absolute game changer, and that serverly depends on what killer youre playing. In general, high tier killers like Nurse and Blight will benefit the most. My change attempts to find a middle ground where Ruin isnt as oppressive to go against if survivors dont find it, while making it a viable perk for any killer to deal with early game pressure. It wont ever be a fun perk to go against, but thats the nature of slowdown perks in general.
Im sure DH would be annoying still, but it would be much harder to use. You couldnt just use it to cover up any mistake since the distance is severly shortened, you would have to use it smartly. Its surely one of the most difficult perks to rework or change. Your idea sounds interesting, but im not sure if it wouldnt just render the perk useless since you always dh to reach a pallet or window.

@Faulds said:
Ruin change: that's an absolute no. Forever freddy was deleted for a good reason. And a killer should be working hard to get good value from his perk.
Dead Man Switch: that's actually something i agree with.
Dead Hard: i don't know the numbers behind it. But apparently they are going to rework dead hard that way.
Iron will. I can agree with. But i'd also be fine with replacing grunts of pain with breathing sounds (heavier than full health ones).
Prove thyself: no. Prove thyself just negate the penalty its fine.
And there is more pressing meta changes:
*BT: could be shorten to make bodyblocking more dangerous (10 or 8 seconds duration rather than 12)
*NOED: allows killers to come back even if they did bad in chase all throughout the trial... they get a 3 stack devour for free in endgame, thats complete bs
*COH: the self care ability provided by the boon to all the team needs a nerf
You could make it 30% which would be a one stack of Pentimento. I dont think that would be all too crazy since its a hex perk. Freddys slowdown addons were active all the time and you couldnt do anything about them, thats not the same. Noed is not something that needs changing in my opinion.
1. Youve played with 3 perks all game hence the strong effect at the end
2. Against good survivors it will give you one down and thats it.
3. Survivors can stop the perk activating in the first place.

"Just add a hook upstairs that'll fix the problem with Boil Over!"
"No! not like that!"
smh
They have to think about the changes they make. Isolated hooks are a big No-no. If theres a hook up there the staircase needs to be wider.
-
As much as i dislike overheat, i dont think he feels much different in terms of movement or steering.
-
Yes. Moonwalking and basic faking are very common and important to learn. Other "techs" wont work against experienced killers.
-
Im sure what you are saying. How would overheat combat a Bubba facecamping? Also Bubba already has a sort of overheat. If you rev for too long you will tantrum.
-
The only times this map is playable if you have some pallet breaking ability. Wraith with shadowdance is pretty fun on the game
-
Im glad its Pig this time, i enjoy a Pig game
-
Its a perk that wont do anything in most situations, but its highly abusable if survivors choose to do so
