  • You can now get one more Halloween outfit with the discount and iridescent shards they are giving you, what's there to be unhappy about. Yes you could have gained more if you waited but its not like your losing anything smh

  • Well this is a valuable lesson on waiting for those who bought early. You thought the skin was worth 21,000 shards so you bought it for that. It's like buying bitcoin at its peak and watching it drop only to ask for a refund, such is life :/

  • These changes are overly complicated and Borrowed Time is fine as is. Yes survivors can exploit it but I much rather them do that then have them bring a perk like unbreakable or decisive.

Yesterday it was the first time that I managed to reach rank 4 as the killer. I didn't even try! I was doing my "kill your obsession 10 times" challenge. I even let those that were no obsessions and didn't have a DS leave through the door and I still ranked up.

And then I started to get very skilled players or try-hards or just very good SWF of red ranks and I can't get more than one iri emblem per match (I hate this stupid emblem challenge). I'm not a pro at all, I suck at this game and I'm very disappointed that all I can do is keep deranking till I can get at least one iri. Even with strong killers I can't win. I was always comfortable with purple ranks at max.

Now I don't even feel like playing as killer 😓To make things worse, there are so many last second switches with keys, I just can't...

Sorry, I needed to let it go 😖 I

    Why I run Franklin's 🤣

Nah, just remove penalty from failing skillcheck.

    Like entirely.

Instead it would make you unable to progress gen for some longer time without any penalty.

    Much better

I can get behind that, honestly that suggestion is better then the one I had!

  • Depends on the killer, its broken on Spirit but otherwise it doesn't seem to do much for me personally 😒

  • Deliverance is a perk based on good virtue that you get from a safe hook.

It is not virtuous to be on first hook as the last survivor when everyone else is dead so no!

  • Didn't Freddy already go through a massive rework though 🤔

  • Pig's traps are fine, doing a gen with a trap on your head risks you dying early. I just wished they worked in endgame like they used too. :(

  • Depends, a perk is only crutch if you can't play without it and that varies from person to person ? 🤔

  • @MrLimonka said:

You can try to hide a bit at the beggining of the match to not be the first one hooked and you can run the ol' reliable: Deliverance, DS, Unbreakable. Should protect you from being camped or slugged compeletly.

Add on Soul Guard in case they wait out your unbreakable and boom your almost invincible 😂

  • @apathyinc said:

They should remove the globe icon from cross-play players names. I'm sure that all these differences between console/pc are completely in people heads and those globes only add to confirmation biases. There are good players and bad players on every platform, and you'll have good and bad games no matter what you do.

I think what OP said is true but not because of the reason stated. "New Players" wouldn't notice the disable crossplay feature so you are only getting more experienced people in your lobbies so I think you'll get better survivors if you disable crossplay regardless of your platform. :)

I'm sorry I'm a little confused by the usage of 'debuff' here. Do you mean why is there a benefit to reduced repair time for stacking Survivors?

If so, then yes - the current gen times are ridiculously busted: 80 seconds solo; and then it drops an entire 33 seconds to 47 seconds for two survivors hopping on one gen.

And Devs sit there like "hurr, gen times are fine durr".

Yes that is what I mean't

‪Can we make a change to Decisive Strike? It really is situational and I hate that about it.

This is the small change I’m suggesting.

When you get unhooked and the killer downs you within the 60 sec cooldown make the timer pauze until you are healed into the injured state or when you get picked up by the killer (if you get healed from the dying state then the timer continues at where it was paused) everytime I get slugged whenever my decisive strike is ready and it really sucks cause then it’s not useable anymore.

This really is a balanced change and it would make decisive strike much more reliable to use!

Just run unbreakable if your so worried about being slugged. Problem Solved!

  • He has portals which give him strong mobility. However I will admit he has a high skill ceiling and even then he's not as good as nurse or spirit.

  • Iron Will although I run Sprint Burst so I don't need an advanced notification when the killer comes 😂

Or your teammates 99 the doors but leave them so you die trying to open them

Or you get downed in a chase because a stick or other 2 inch high obstacle stops your forward progress like a brick wall

Or the killer brought an ebony mori

Or the killer ran NOED and gets a bunch of cheap kills he doesn’t deserve

Or you make endgame and the doors are easily guardable (75% of the time)

Or you get hatch just before killer but he still manages to close it on you

Or your teammates don’t like the perks you chose (SC or UE) and so don’t help you because you’re not cool like them

Or you medium vault a window you ran to at an 85 degree angle and get downed

Or Pyramid Head finds you in a hallway

Or Pyramid Head decides to camp a hook

Or Pyramid Head uses Nurses plus range add ons

    But otherwise. Yeah. Pretty fun.

I think your taking this game to seriously. Don't expect to survive and you'll have a lot more fun playing solo.

  • I'd do Clown for Pop goes the Weasel, definitely a great perk for gen regression and goes great with thrilling tremors.

As for killer it depends on your playstyle. If you watch Otzdarva he has a Playlist on the killers and there strengths and weaknesses. A lot of it comes to the individual player though.

How exactly do they take skill?

    Sprint burst - hold run

Lithe - Look for nearest window

Balanced landing - Look for nearest drop

Dead Hard - Tap E for distance

The only one you could say is a well timed dodge with Dead Hard but most good players use it for distance which takes no skill.

Also no chases wouldn’t end too quickly. I spent hours and hours getting good. You can easily loop bad killers all game with no exhaustion perks, and last a good enough amount of time in a chase against better killers.

Well not every map has an easy spot to drop for balance landing or a bunch of windows for lithe so you need to plan a route to get there.

I agree with you on Dead Hard, if used in the right place it can get you into a safe loop so it takes some skill. As Killer I personally find it annoying so I don't blame you for wanting it nerfed.

Sprint Burst requires you to manage your walking and running time. Walk to much and thats wasted time you could be on gens. Run to much and you'll be exhausted when you need it.

This is not to say they are not powerful but don't underestimate the amount of skill they require.

  • I mean exhaustion perks are annoying but they take some skill to use effectively. Chases would end to quickly without them which would lead to more second hand meta. I rather they nerf DS and Unbreakable as they reward bad plays more then anything.

  • Yeah I'll be honest when I say that I haven't really touched Billy since the mid chapter update. Also I rarely stumble on a Billy in a lobby anymore, it is a shame.

    Pop + Corrupt + Thrilling, that's what I use.

If you run that with Surge I think you'd have the strongest anti gen rush combo. That or some thing like Devour Hope or NOED to get survivors worried about totems.

  • @CrowVortex said:

Ruin and Undying has been giving me more value than pop lately, especially if you force them to one side of the map Gen wise. Ofc it's all rng based in terms of hex totem spawns but it performs well when it works and when you pressure. Overcharge i like to use on my doctor with the addition of lullaby, distressing and unnerving presence. 8 times out of 10 it performs well if lullaby stays up a considerable amount of time, as well as forcing a 3-gen strat if things start to go south.

I actually played against that build last night. I was the black hair Cheryll if that happened to be you.

That build I'd say varies a lot on skill checks. I use DS all the time so they weren't to difficult. I often hit great skill checks regularly but people who don't definitely struggle.

Assuming you get a 3 gen and the survivors suck at skill checks I will admit that it was a toxic monster 😂

  • @ClickyClicky said:

I think Dead Hard should be changed. It’s the one perk that actually makes the game less fun to play as killer.

Mindgame them with an M1 killer? Dead hard for distance to undo their mistake. It robs of a rewarding feeling of outplaying the survivor.

Pull off an amazing split second shot with Huntress, Deathslinger, Plague? Tap E to nullify it. Sometimes you only have a brief window to get the shot and you pull it off and they just tap a button to undo it

Line up a good blink/rush with Nurse/Blight? Even if you predict the dead hard coming and dont attack you’re still taking the fatigue. These are the worst hit by it.

I know people will disagree and say its skill based and fine yadda yadda but to me it just sucks the fun out of the game using the killer well and having it rendered void by a tap of the E key.

I made a whole forum post on dead hard earlier. It ended up getting like 7 pages of survivor mains calling me trash 😂

Dead Hard is OP on certain loops, you'll finally catch the survivor and they'll just dead hard back into the loop.

However it's such a popular perk that I don't see any changes ever being done with it. 😬

  • If you run desperate measures and botany knowledge you can negate a lot of self cares negative effects. Assuming you don't do that its as useful as a pig trap. Could take 4 traps for the survivor to get off and cause you to win the game from long stalls. Or survivor could get it off first try and you lose all pressure. While there are games you said its come in clutch I am sure there are also games where it cost you the game because you were healing instead of doing gens so the killer was able to get the extra hook and snowball. This is what makes self care arguably the most controversial perk among survivor players. 😬

    DS is situational?

    lmao.

Anyway. I don;t run unbreakable because I am rarely ever left on the ground long enough to make us of it. If I had it. Which I don't. Yet.

Yes it is, you must get downed within 60 seconds as well as grabbed by the killer. If your good and not aggressive or tunneled you shouldn't be going down that quick.

  • @StibbityStabbity said:

UB relies on the Killer having a reason not to pick you up for a few seconds. If you have a team that is okay with swarming the Killer, it can be very useful, but it's not a guarantee that they won't come over and pick you up. On top of that, you can swap it out for Perks that will see more use more often. UB is simply not always useful. When it DOES work, it tends to come in clutch, but often, you simply won't see it. Compare that to other Perks where you tend to get more use out of them, or can force them to help you in situations, and you will see that UB can be very comfortably replaced.

That said, if you are running a full meta build to punish the Killer for playing Killer, then ya, you want UB to benefit the DS (or, more accurately, the fear of DS).

If you want to meme (read: YOU SHOULD ALWAYS WANT TO MEME), you can run UB and No Mither and get up mere seconds after getting downed, which will initially make the Killer think someone else is picking you up and lose their mind following you around, trying to identify your shadow helper. That said, you're playing the game on hard mode at that point, so don't get too angry if you die a lot.

Most killers very rarely leave someone slugged who has no mither since they know you can get up all the time. Soul Guard is so much better even if it requires a hex.

  • @Kleer_mi1k said:

    Because it is situational

I feel that but so are Adrenaline and DS and I see those used all the time. 🤔

  • @scenekidtrash said:

Before I get absolutely roasted, let me explain. There are very few SWFs that I despise going against, and I’m talking about survivor depip squads(which are so far and few between that I almost never see them.) This is why I hate when killers say “bUt ThErE wAs nOtHiNg i CouLd dO” against a SWF, because 95% of the time that’s just wrong. Most SWFs in this game are people trying to have fun with their friends, because we ALL know how the solo queue experience is. I can confidently say that 9/10 of the SWFs I go against are people memeing with their friends and they bring stupid perks like no mither, sabo/breakout, pebbles, etc. They aren’t really trying to sweat, and if you go with it as the Killer, you’re going to have a lot more fun too. Also, I guarantee any person who complains about SWFs when they play Killer has at some point played Survivor with their friends. Stop being a hypocrite and stop getting upset at people for wanting to play a game that THEY bought with THEIR money with their friends. And, like I already said, this does not apply to 4 man survivor depip squads, but how many of us go against those players every day?

I love the (from a Killer main) as if that makes your opinion any more valid, it doesn't 😂

I agree though that SWF isn't as strong as people make it out to be. I'd say it's equivalent to killer getting 5 perks instead of 4

    Powerful but not unbeatable.

  • I think the perk should be reworked. The struggle timer is paused everytime the killer is "16m" within the hook while the survivor is in the struggle phase.

  • I was a rank 5 Freddy and Legion main. I only played those killers to keep my rank. Then I played ghostface and kept depiping. But eventually I got good with him and now I got a third main.

So don't worry about your rank. Unless your boosted, if you get it once you'll get it again. Maybe even get higher with more teachables.

  • Also they added a stealth skin for Pig by giving her an outfit that is black instead of bright red which costs money. So if they do it with Pig, why can't they do it with survivors ? 🤔

  • I see all these posts about pay to win. This game already has pay to win in it though. Take decisive strike, one of the most powerful perks in the game. It requires at least five dollars if not on sale and not on the shrine. Besides no new stealth skin they'd add could possibly be as bad as blendette 😂

  • People underestimate Legions power. I agree with you that he is better then most claim. However he struggles in strong loops and against survivors who are comfortable being injured.

When it comes to piping though I'd argue he is one of the best killers in the game since he can usually max chase points.

  • I'd say Meg for Adrenaline and Sprint Burst. Bill for Borrowed Time and Unbreakable. Jake for Iron Will and David for Deadhard. Laurie for Decisive Strike.

How those perks rank are based exclusively on preference but those are all the big meta ones that are best to get out of the way.

  • How would Five perks work with Haunted grounds assuming you used four other hex perks since haunted grounds requires two totems ?

I think a better solution is to make Corrupt Intervention basekit for Killers and Borrowed Time basekit for survivors. While the game is survivor sided at the highest level of play its relatively balanced at most other levels and killers getting a fifth perk would ruin that.

  • @Justalittlepeeck said:

    Hope is doesn't get fixed.

Agreed, DS was overpowered and now its a fair perk 😈

  • Damn if what you say is true and not a bug, I dunno I am speechless. First Kates noob jiggle physics, now DS 😂

  • @GraveHunter said:

Maybe it's a bit of a "write it off you post", but I am beginning to feel this way for a few days/week now.

I normally don't mind playing killer at all. I can endure flashlights, DS, DH, etc.

But at least I got people from my same skill level or rank, some better than me, some less better than me or equal of skill. Some people wreck me, some teams I wreck.

Al was fine until last weekend hit. The ranks I play against are all of the sudden completely over the place and with at least 3 high ranks (10-1) while I am around 16. People CLEARLY above my level of play. It is beginning to frustrate me a lot now, because most of the time at least 3 people have a full set of strong perks, while I am still leveling up killers and have bad perks.

Of course I can improve, i'm not saying I don't want or can, but why is my matchmaking first okay with fun and interacting games and when last weekend hit, my games are completely unfun. And what irritates me the most, is that when they clearly beat me by far (only got a few hooks, no kills) they wait till the very last second to leave when I'm not even bothered to go to see their teabagging at the gates.

But when I play survivor (around rank 14), I get nothing but rank 20-13 killers, sometimes completely new killers as well who don't even know what they are doing... It frustrates me, because I want to play the game 50-50, not gonna move to one side because my games on the other side are completely unfun and unbalanced.

Its because the population of survivors is far greater at the time you played then killer. I suggest playing killer at a different time of day, should fix your issue.

  • @Leonardo1ita said:

so, I had an archive challenge where I had to escape as the obsession. since ds changes obsession, to do it quickly I equipped ds, sole survivor and object to have wallhacks and always be the obsession, and then left behind. then I picked a key, and went in a corner of the match all the game, timed lockers to avoid bbq, and after 3 matches I finally escaped. Is this bannable if you do this just 1 time? btw there is even an achievement where you gotta never get hit as the obsession, so I guess not bannable? or yes?

So you didn't do gens or participate in chases or anything. I'd say its definitely a grey area but thats toxic for sure even if it was a challenge...

  • I wouldn't say his perks are meta but Dragons Grip and Undying are definitely not crap perks. The new killer has also got strong mobility. He may be bad or maybe he just has a high skill ceiling.

To be clear: I'm not here to talk about any NOED nerfs or changes.

Just had a Blight chase me through five generators, and I get screwed over by NOED at the end. In this game he was running Hex: Undying with Ruin and NOED (I forget the fourth perk).

I was able to cleanse one lit totem before I started to get chased (was Ruin but because of Undying it transferred.)

In this scenario, I really think a totem counter could have brought more incentive to my teammates to cleanse totems during the game - and of course it helps keep track of how many totems remain on the map. They cleansed a lit totem while I was being face-camped to death but it wasn't NOED.

I'm the type of survivor that cleanses every totem I see, so this is really irritating as a solo. On top of it all, I de-pipped, which in itself is not fair considering Blight was all over me the entire game. Red ranks BTW.

A totem counter would nerf NOED since it'd incentivize cleansing which would make less games were NOED pops up. 😬

  • No his rush attack should not count as a basic attack since your using your power smh. A basic attack is just that, an attack without a power.

  • @Avarice10 said:

That's the reason why they're the meta perks, a lot of survivor perks really don't help you survive a trial, and are mostly just for the memes. Now sure they might help other survivors or give you access to some cool/useful things, but they don't really help you survive, and in a survival horror game, the perks that will help you survive the trial will always reign king.

By no means do I want to see the meta perks nerfed, but it'd be great if survivors would get some cool new perks, I'm not exactly fond of running the same old all the time too, but I want to survive the trial. Killers really have access to some good perks, survivors not so much.

I wouldn't say that necessarily but with killer you have more control over how a match goes so meta perks aren't as important.

  • @CheeseAnton said:

Ok, but have you ever got addicted to Spine Chill? That perk is like a drug you can't get off on, and I still use it. Sure, I got all the Survivor adepts Solo Q'ing but most of those were either lucky, or I brought a key with blood amber.

I actually don't like spine chill apart from with a few stealth killers as it causes me to leave the gen to early in panic mode. That being said if I didn't run sprint burst I'd probably run it so I have enough time to actually get away. 😂😅

I'm just collecting stats on my games (from both sides) and the double hooking is actually super rare. Most of the times it is slugging and they are healed up again

It varies by rank I think. At higher ranks people bring BT and DS so killers don't do it but at the more beginner ranks not so much. 😂😬

  • @MadLordJack said:

I don't think that the one game where I actually get tunelled justifies running DS, I don't think it's fair that there is a perk that exists entirely to punish the killer for snowballing, and I don't think that anything could ever justify running both of them together outside of a prize pool because of how easy it is to abuse, even subconsciously.

I think Unbreakable is fine in its current state even when it's paired with DS because it counters slugging and without it you'd have a slugging meta.

As for Decisive Strike it can be very unfair and I wouldn't mind a nerf for it honestly like mettle of man. 😅

Also even if you don't use DS a lot of killers assume you have DS so they don't tunnel. I'd guarntee you'd be tunneled a whole lot more if DS was removed from the game. 😬
