I'd like that but games with no ds in tend to be tunnel central and games with no regression perks tend to be genrush central unless other snowball perks like infectious fright are used. Spirit's "counter" is Iron Will so without perks im expecting a weekend of nothing but spirit and toolboxes. I'd rather there be a 2 perk weekend than a no perk weekend.
Perks are bandaid fixes though. You shouldn't have to grind for DS to not get tunneled or shouldn't have to grind for regression perks not to get gen rushed. Disabling these perks would make people see if any of these are needed as base and if so they shouldn't require a perk slot.
-
+1 to this change as well, it'd actually make remember me a decent endgame perk
-
Spirits got more counterplay than survivors with Soul Guard Unbreakable and Decivisive Strike π€
-
Well current Legion is essentially just a M1 killer with survivors getting exposed status

Wraith's power doesn't help him down, it only helps him be sneaky
It does in that he can be sneak up closer to survivors and catch them off guard and his power can be used to mindgame survivors to making a poor play and getting you an easy hit!
-
Your right that pop is still a top tier killer perk however there is plenty of counter play to it. As a killer main I'd be fine if they nerfed meta killer perks as long as they nerfed meta survivor perks as well!

The reason there are so many gen perks is because the strongest Killers don't need chases to go faster, they need the gens to slow down. Against the top tier Killers, the Survivors only real option is to gen rush because they can't loop for very long or mess around with stuff like sabo or flashlight saves.
Think about Killers like Freddy, Nurse, Spirit, Pyramid Head, Deathslinger and Blight. They don't need stuff like Bamboozle, Enduring, Spirit Fury, Save the Best for Last or Brutal Strength. Those perks are just band aids for Killers with a weak chase.
STBL helps a lot though for some of these killers and most M1 killers in general. As someone whose a decent deathslinger main I almost never go without STBL!

From my experience so far playing a few games of survivor and killer i've noticed a few differences. Looping is much easier and cars loops are the bane of killers now, there are some infinites without bloodlust, It requires survivors to make more mistakes during a chase, if the killer makes a mistake it can cost them loads of time now.
I feel they should keep blood lust 1 at minimum as the car loops i've seen are just stupid and waste way too much time.
Yeah I admit your more forced to kick the pallet now if you don't wanna be looped to oblivion.
-
Rancor, information throws survivors off guard and endgame mori is so fun!
-
If you had bloodlust you may have got those hits however these tiles could have also been played better. I reccomend watching some streamers and learn how to play loops correctly.

It is a very situational luck based Hex perk with a very powerful effect! Sure this perk can be counter by Survivor doing more bones then ever; sure it can be counter by good Survivors that can avoid being hit; but it also has the random effect of securing you Killer Victories by being able to down multiple Survivors at once; with no work involved!
I like Hex: Devour Hope; basically it has the token based reward for playing well in hooking Survivors and getting away with free downs and mori! While... Hex: NOED is such a lackluster perk; you can down a Survivor, put him in the basement, stay nearby with insidious or face camp or something bad or new players will do; and suddenly gain the ability to instant down Survivor attempting to go for saves or escape! The killer did nothing at all to earn great benefits to be a lethal threat! And that is what I would want to change about it!
Make it token based perk; that rewards you for playing well until the very end; as soon as the exit gates are powered, this perk lights up and grants the ability to used limited amounts of instant down, up to a maximum of 4 instant downs for playing killer well! It would be really nice, if the killer is good at hooking Survivor so well, that they earn tokens per hook! Out of the 12 hooks, if the killer is able to hook any Survivor 2 times or a maximum of 8 hooks; with a maximum gain of 4 tokens to instant down! "They would be in for a surprise No one escape Death vibe; because they are on their last hook!" But if course, if the totems is found or all cleansed; then the killer does lose it benefits! It meant to be a high risk high reward perk, yet rewards you for playing well
I disagree, NOED takes skill to snowball. I don't think tokens are needed as it can be cleansed at any point once it comes out.
Its essentially the killers second chance perk. Survivors get so many of those that I don't see why people are so upset about the killer having one.
-
I agree and do think bloodlust is necessary personally as in certain situations its quite useful. However we shall see with this test.
-
Yeah Beast of Prey is now officially worse then Monster Shrine.
-
NOED is a high risk high reward perk. It can get cleansed right away or single handedly make you come back.
I personally think it's a fair perk and far less oppressive when compared to ruin and undying.
As for the do bones argument, I wouldn't recommend it. Since you'll likely end up doing 4 totems and NOED will jump into the fifth one you can't find.

Okay, you there!
Tell me your best Perk for Wraith!
And, preferably, not a Perk that's like: "Wow, this is really good IF you also equip this Perk."
Mkay? Cause i'm kinda already stacked, just need 1 more slot to fill.
NOED, that perk has single handedly made me come back from games I already lost.
-
I mean it depends entirely on the map your on. I wouldn't recommend running it without a map offering personally
-
Yeah and if you want meta perks to counter the SWF's meta perks be prepared to grind to oblivion!
-
If there is no obsession then tunneling can be the optimal play in some instances. Not always ideal but what can you do.
-
Bloodlust is necessary for strong loops. Also it helps newer killers catch good survivors which this game needs as survivor lobbies take to long at night! π¬
-
+1
-
Beating Deathslinger requires a different strategy then your typical M1 killer. Maybe change up your playstyle a bit and you may see better results :)
-
I would say Freddy, out of all the killers he is by far the easiest to master and excel with. He can often get dumb hits which annoys the hell out if me!
-
@Nosferatu3145 said:
I don't know if you can activate the perk instantly if you are over 35% with flip flop, but if yes, then you got a free escape if you fall under a pallet and there a survivor nearby
Yeah someone honestly needs to test this. If it does then it may be meta with four man SWF Flashlight squads π
-
I think Oppression may work well with Pop, Trail, Dragon's for the ultimate gen kicking build π
-
That build isn't as good as you think. First off you lack a few key perks
1. An exhaustion perk which are ridiculously strong
2. Borrowed Time which allows for unsafe saves
3. Iron Will which can make juking and escaping killers far easier
Now assuming the killer picks you up right away and avoids pallets that's 3 perks wasted as you only really get use out of decisive strike
It would really only be good for slugging killers and you'd definitely want David Tapp's perk to crawl faster and recover where you crawl as well so you can get to a pallet. But that'd be 5 perks and you can't have 5.
So as a killer I don't see it being oppressive.

How many token should it have?
3 according to OP's title

Play something else until your DC penalty is off

Play something else until your DC penalty is off

They need to offer more bloodpoints when playing killer at night. Then survivor lobbies wouldn't be so packed.

One of the biggest gripes that I have with undying is its aura reading feature. That alone makes it hard enough to actually get a hex out of the game combined with the fact that the hex will then just get moved to another totem is just pretty annoying. If the aura reading was removed I feel like fewer people would mind the perk.
But then that would bear the question: What should change with each perk tier?
Undying without aura reading is pretty useless. There's a 50% chance it gets cleansed first so that'd mean there is a 50% chance the perk does absolutely nothing. So that'd make it definitely a massive nerf and people would stop using it.
-
I mean it varies on the team I am up against and the build I am using and if I have had a few warm up games to start. Usually I just pick stuff I am better with. I try to avoid the ebony unless they seem like a well coordinated SWF in the lobby because I know how unfun mori's can be. I only bring them if they level the playing field and even then I usually don't mori if they turn out to be not as good as I expected.
-
Closest I got is rank 5 and my struggle is I only do well on my main so I am forced to play my main a ton if I wanna hit red.
-
Well Halloween is all about trick or treating. They tricked us with overpriced cosmetics, now they treating us with free iridescent shards π€£
-
Yeah I do just fine on corn maps as Legion, better that then Ormond in my opinion
-
Probably multiple reasons for this, the game isn't very new player friendly so this game becomes more of the same survivors with thousands of hours of experience.
-
The new technician is a great meme perk if you wanna be a jerk to your friends on generators π
-
To help boost the fog whisperers view count. Also exclusivity creates value. People wouldn't care about the charm nearly as much if it was just handed to them.

They're all great, but I'm most leaning toward Blight's "True Blight" this year (mainly because Legion already gets a new set in the free Rift and I have squat for Blight). Plus his new head cosmetic reminds me of The Flood.
I really like all of the survivor ones too, but I think Yui's is the most unique of the 3. Felix's is extremely similar to David's new one and Dwight's old one (from 2018). Feng's is somewhat reminiscent of her red dress from Moonrise. Yui's is more of a cafe-racer vibe, which they haven't really done before in DbD.
If I do pick up two this year, it'll probably be for Blight and Yui.
Lmao now you got me wanting a Flood cosmetic π, Halo 3 is one of my favorite games of all time. Damn I miss those days.
-
@TripleSteal said:
Legion's great, Yui could be a good choice because her blighted outfit is far better than anything else she got so far (most of her older outfits look raΓΎher meh, in my opinion).
Yeah true, she don't really got any good teachables though unfortunately so I haven't bothered to level her π
-
Lmao π, to be fair Clown has got pop goes the weasel although its not quite as good now after the nerf. :(
-
Yeah this game isn't very new player friendly unfortunately. Tell him to try Freddy, that killers relatively easy to master and he'll have a much easier time with him compared to other killers.

Legion skin is the best from all halloween skins imo
It's like more creative than just a weird wide mouth face with a lot of orange bubbles around.
Lmao true π

Blight head, Legion body and knife.
If I could equip the blight head onto the legions body and knife I'd be set π

I prefer rancor over NOED personally, it gives information throughout the game that throws survivors off. It also allows you to one hit and mori the obsession. This usually secures at least one kill for me and sometimes even allows me to snowball!

Against good teams legion gets clapped
He's still pretty viable though, otzdarva got a 50 win streak on him. Against a 4 man SWF sweat squad yeah probably but so do most killers except maybe nurse and spirit.
-
She's viable but she takes time to master unlike Freddy so be patient!
-
Someone is salty π
-
I say leave OoO as is but make it so killing the OoO causes a 25% to all action speeds for all remaining survivors and have the OoO get 50% boost in altruistic actions as the old dying light and OoO balanced each other out!
-
Buff in some things, nerf in others. Overall haven't played him so can't say what was a bigger impact for me personally.
