Yes by all means lets strengthen the survivors even more after all the power role right? This game is completely balanced to give all the power to survivors as is, they keep it up there will be nobody wanted to play killer. So tired of the entitled survivors. Killers are supposed to be the power role!!
You clearly are bitter about something so lemme explain.
This information is only gonna help soloq and small SWF groups (like groups of 2) in that context, the game is actually perfectly balanced. Since soloq is pretty much a free 4k anyways.
You say killers are supposed to be the power role but to what extent? Is a rank 20 killer supposed to win against a rank 1 Survivior no matter what? Is a survivor supposed to be heavily disadvantaged and forced to outplay the killer multiple times over and pray to god their team actually does something.
You sound more entitled than any Survivior main.
-
This ain't just killer. I'm hovering red rank as Survivior and it's honestly a ######### sin how many green and yellow rank killers I've bullied into submission. It's ridiculous and completely unacceptable matchmaking.
-
Sounds like it's only gonna hurt campers.
I'm cool with it
-
It needs fixed. I'd be fine with longer queue times if I meant I got fair games
-
Design wise she's good. She's pretty stupid bc she lacks true counterplay but whatev. Spine chill only rly tells you if she's phasing toward you.
She's also kinda ezaf if you have a good headset. There needs to be more counterplay against her.

Also I know you weren't proxy camping in that situation since you were chasing another survivor and then decided to teleport back, but that might have been what they meant when they accused you of camping.
I mean to be honest if you have a guy in your clutches and you go back to the unhooked guy mid chase just to down him, that is Tunnelling.
-
Look Surviviors have their own share of things that don't feel fair. It's just that killer propaganda makes it seem like Survivors aren't allowed to have powerful pieces of gameplay.
You did fine. You didn't camp, you didn't tunnel. To them you were doing that bc you were in a certain place at a certain time. It's fine.
Also good on you for respecting decisive strike. Other killers could learn from you.

People keep talking about secondary objectives, just build noed into every match and then the secondary objective that exists becomes meaningful.
Hell to the no.
Or if that's gonna be what happens, every Survivior should have built in adrenaline.

Matchmaking is extremely wonky and unfair. It's an issue no matter what rank ur in. It's not fun to completely bootstomp a baby killer bc matchmaking decided he could handle 2 purple ranks, and it isn't fun to get demolished by the killer in 2 seconds flat bc he's red ranks and ur green ranks. It's also not fun to get demolished by high rank Surviviors as a low rank killer and vice versa.

You're confusing 'legit' for 'good'.
Camping is LEGIT. IE: It's not bannable. It's not against the rules. It can be done without worry of being punished by the devs.
Camping is not GOOD. It takes 2 minutes to kill a Survivor from first hook. Tack on 30-45 seconds for the chase. It takes 80 seconds to pop 3 generators (80 seconds for a solo Survivor to do 1 gens, times 3 Survivors.). 160 seconds to do 6 gens (2 gens per Survivor doing it solo, times 3 Survivors.). 160 seconds = 2 minutes 40 seconds.
So Survivors can do 6 out of 5 generators in the time it takes a Killer to camp one Survivor.
Let's stretch that further: It can possibly take Survivors under 3 minutes to pop every gen in the match.
And you wonder why Killers need Ruin and NoED; it's basically the only pressure we have against sub 3 minute matches.
NoED is fine. Ruin is fine. Camping is fine.
You are assuming this is all in a vaccuum.
Let's say the Surviviors opt to abandon the guy on the hook. Now let's say they wanna genrush. If they wanna purely genrush the killer they would all need
1. A godbox that can last them to endgame.
2. No other actions except repairing.
3. No ruin.
4. No Heaking
5. No cleansing dulls.
6. No cleansing hexes.
No NOTHING except generators. That's how you punish a camper. Yet how are you supposed to do that and somehow dodge Noed at the same time? The grand spoiler here is that you can't. If you genrush, you get smacked with Noed at the end and at least one of you dies and fuels a toxic killer's ego. If you don't genrush and focus on countering Noed, then the guy on the hook died for you to gamble on the killer running an endgame crutch.

So what about when the gates spawn far away from each other on a large map against a killer with no mobility ? Thats a very easy escape for a survivor who's team failed at everything else before.
Killers have perks to help detect Surviviors and have to gamble just like Surviviors do. Even playing field.
-
@KillermainBTWm8 said:
Bad luck. The survivor had a chance to get hatch they failed. Now they sadly have to die. Just the way it goes. It's just rng it works both ways the gates can be across the map from eachother.
Losing bc of bad luck is bullshit.
If the killer runs any kind of detection perk like Whispers the EGC is over regardless of where the gates spawn. Make it a gamble for both sides. Gates spawn on separate walls far AF apart from each other.

@oxygen said:
The end game collapse isn't concerned with helping one side or the other. Sometimes it screws the survivor(s), sometimes it screws the killer.
Its only purpose is to add a system that can put a hard time limit on a match, to avoid "the only winning move is not to play" situations like hatch standoffs and survivors crouching around the map for a century.
How does it screw the killer?
-
@Peanits said:
There are no plans for this at the moment. While we can add new rules to gate spawning, we cannot fully prevent that from happening. You would need to make sure that no point on the map has line of sight on both gates, and even then, you could move slightly to watch one or the other. You'd also have things like the ski lodge on Ormond that would allow you to see right over and obstacles and easily watch both gates.
Regardless, it's going to be tough to escape sometimes. At that point, the survivor has failed to power the generators and failed to find the hatch first. The collapse is meant to end the game at that point, not necessarily to give them a third chance to escape.
Is it that ######### hard to code fixed gate spawns? You guys did it with Lerys and the Game.

Think about why Ruin is so common. Then come back and apologize for how wrong you are

Sandbagging is not bannable, just like being bad is not bannable.
The issue comes when someone actively tries to snipe over and over again to ruin someone's experience in multiple games. That counts as targeting and griefing.
How in the ever loving hell is sandbagging not bannable? You're literally body blocking a teammate.

Tell that to Déjà Vu lol
Deja vu is an exception. It only marks generators. Gen spawns are easy to determine and since they don't break, you don't need constant updates on them. Windows get highlighted bc they sometimes spawn blocked. And pallets bc they can break.

Dude what?!?!
If a killer is face camping someone they're literally throwing the game. You can drop all the gens but 1 during that time run them in a chase and get out at that point. On top of the fact that the killer loses points for face camping the hook....I can't even believe you're bringing face camping into this as a valid tactic when its LITERALLY THROWING THE GAME! Even if you pop 3 gens in that time the game is over for the killer.....face camping...I can't even...theres no way you play killer if you think thats a valid strat...Like what?
A 3v1 for the killer with even 1 gens left is GG. If the survivors aren't rank 20 YOU LOSE! And since you face camped 1 person for the whole game, you now have to find the other survivors, win a chase, and then hope they don't have adrenaline in the middle of that 45-60 second chase you just did, you also didn't break ANY PALLETS. At that point noED doesn't matter since you can no longer rotate the survivors around the hook assuming you did down one of them. Which leaves the game with maybe 2 of 4 survivors killed assuming nobody runs borrowed time, which would have DELETED your face camp in the first place....
BORROWED TIME.....STRAT DELETED, tunnel them...DSTRIKE..... STRAT DELETED....
Face camping....smh. I can't even begin to count the amount of high rank games where Dstrike or BT are in play to counter bad killer strategy but...what you said doesn't make any sense to any killer above rank 18....
Also what more of a hint do you need to find the totem? It literally shows you where its at in a cone where you face the camera....all it takes from there is walking up to the spawn point, and since they all spawn in the same general places around objects, boom, you're done.
"If a killer is facecamping they're throwing the game"
I'm told every time I bring up camping being toxic that it's a "legit strat" by literally every damn person I've met. So how is it now suddenly throwing if it's a legit strat?
"You can drop all the gens but 1 during that time run them in a chase and get out at that point. On top of the fact that the killer loses points for face camping the hook....I can't even believe you're bringing face camping into this as a valid tactic when its LITERALLY THROWING THE GAME! Even if you pop 3 gens in that time the game is over for the killer.....face camping...I can't even...theres no way you play killer if you think thats a valid strat...Like what?"
I'm a mid purple rank Nurse main.
"assuming nobody runs borrowed time, which would have DELETED your face camp in the first place...."
No it doesn't lmao. It would, in your eloquent logical caps lock broken words, DELETE my face camp if borrowed time applied to both the unhooked and the unhooker. But bc it doesn't, I can just hooktrade and call it a day.
"BORROWED TIME.....STRAT DELETED, tunnel them...DSTRIKE..... STRAT DELETED...."
Again your eloquent sophisticated way of showing me how wrong I am gets lost in your broken keyboard locking everything at caps and putting random elipses between every thing you say. But let's assume that's how you talk. Let me explain why it doesn't work like that.
BORROWED TIME...HOOKTRADE. TUNNEL THEM. SLUG THEM. WAIT OUT D STRIKE, OR HOOKTRADE................STRAT WORKS AGAIN.
"Also what more of a hint do you need to find the totem? It literally shows you where its at in a cone where you face the camera....all it takes from there is walking up to the spawn point, and since they all spawn in the same general places around objects, boom, you're done."
And this is how I know you don't run small game. Try it. You get an audio cue the same sound as premonition when ur so damn close to the totem you could probably see it anyways. Only map it's good on is the Game where totems are actually well hidden.
The counter to Noed and camping is mutually exclusive. If the team abandons that guy to die on the hook, they genrush and lose to Noed or they don't genrush and lose to counter Noed and their teammate dies for nothing. If they run borrowed time all the killer has to do is hooktrade and the cycle repeats itself. This gets even worse if the killer runs dying light and/or a Mori.

Says who?
A gen took 80 seconds to be repaired 100% by a solo survivor
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/850/DX2UO8ACI84X.jpg
BNP
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/858/VI2GSBMC4T90.jpg
15 % of 80 (seconds) is 12! with BNP you repair a gen in 68 seconds
but if you hit the 2 skill checks you can get 10 %of added progresion to that 15%
25% of 80 is 20! you can repair a gen in 60 seconds instead of 80! and you still have half of your toolbox after using the BNP to repair faster the rest of the gen
The time you spend as a killer finding the first survivor, hit him twice, carry and hook him, then waiting to someone unhook him, downing him again and mori him is hugely greater than 60 seconds
In red ranks I barely have time to hook the first survivor before 2-3 gens pop! and thats without BNPs
The Survivior equivalent of a Mori would be if they do a gen and then the hatch opens. Since it cuts out almost all of the work required to win.

Do survivors just....not get perks or something? Did people suddenly forget small game exists?!?!? It literally will tell you where the totem is so you don't even have to use a map....
For one. No it doesn't. Small game gives you a premonition style warning when ur a piss blast from the totem to begin with.
Second of all let's say I opt to facecamp the first Survivior I hook and run Noed. What's the counter to me camping? Genrushing. But what's the counter to Noed? Not genrushing and doing totems. So if someone with Noed facecamps they force Surviviors into a lose/lose situation.
That's the rub. Surviviors have 2 options against a camping killer that runs Noed.
1. Genrush the living hell out of him. But you know what that requires? Perfect coordination, Prove Thyself, Toolboxes, no ruin, no cleansing, and no healing for the duration of the genrush. This is something only SWF can achieve and they'd need to begin the genrush the moment the Survivior got hooked, which 99 times out of 99, does not happen. And if they successfully genrush and get 2-3 gens done during the facecamp yes the guy goes down and 3 gens come up in exchange, but the killer is running Noed and the Surviviors cannot stop the ball from Rolling now or they'll lose. So they have to get that gen done and then they get punched with Noed.
2. Do the totems, heal, and work on gens. Waste a bunch of time to maybe get 1 gen done. Guy on the Hook dies for what is effectively ######### nothing. Noed is countered, yay congrats and the killer has all the time in the world to prance the day away and 3v1 his way to victory.
It's a lose/lose. Noed loses all viable counterplay when camping exists.
-
2 things should happen if a Mori is burned.
1. It's impossible for someone to depip. Everyone black pips at minimum.
2. Decisive strike gets reverted for that match and the killer cannot juggle anymore.
Ebony Moris should require that everyone be hooked one or that you can only use it if someone is on death hook. Currently it's too easy and too powerful. ######### rarity and ######### cost. Nobody cared that BNP was ultra rare and costly when it instantly did a generator now did they?
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I do not know the exact chances for ultra-rare nodes in the bloodweb but if we assume there is at least 1 ultra-rare every 3 bloodwebs and you're playing as a killer without ultra-rare offerings, you can get 1 ebony mori for every 3 games you play.
Doesn't sound that "ultra-rare" to me.
let's see
This is an average bloodweb in my P3 Wraith (freshly screenshooted):
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/213/PEJGB7OBZ9Q0.jpg
common: 10
uncommon: 6
rare 6
very rare 3
ultra rare 1
Even if every single of my BW had a ebony or two(that's the maximum ebonis I ever seen in MY bloodwebs)
The rarity is by any means correct!
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/527/QDZMLUI728KA.jpg
62000(+3000 of the last item to go to the next BW) Effin BP spent getting the ebony!!! thats AT LEAST 3 matches even with my Wraith, as you said already, and the mori will only useful in one of the next 3 matches while I manage to get another...
... and still that not ultra rare for you???
At least 3 times as survivor, got a BW with 4 BNP where I manage to get 3! but whe haven't as much threads as this were the survivors (or the killers for that case) complain about the rarity of BNP isn't?
That's bc BNP is not as powerful as a Mori. The only thing that's to scale with a Mori is a key, and that's not even the most fair comparison.

Without bloodlust or window blockers many tiles would become infinites. The game would turn into a bully simulator
Never said they wouldn't. What I am saying is that is that killers need to come clean about the mechanics they have that do the work for them.
And if every map gets reworked like Badham, Bloodlust and the Entity blocker should be removed entirely.
-
There should be separate ranking for each killer. Ik it would make the rank grind suck even harder but every killer has a different playstyle that's defined by their power. I can blink through the Strode house and down that sneaky Claudette with Nurse, that does not mean I can do the same thing with Wraith, Ghostface, Plague, or Pig.
The Ranking system in general is just #########. And it partially has to do with purple/red rank Surviviors queueing with gray/yellow rank killers to boost them up to green ranks.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Ok I see the problem here. The counters for Camping and NOED are mutually exclusive with each other and thus you are having problems, fair enough.
Here's the thing. Camping is actually slow enough that you can gen rush anways and even with NOED he won't get more than a 2k unless he stops camping so long as you actually gen rush.
As a solo this can suck because the entire team needs to gen rush and hard for this to work. So it's understandable that this would be frustrating.
That's the issue and that's why playing solo is miserable. If the killer is toxic and camps, genrushing is a must to punish him. But in a solo q environment good luck making that happen.
-
Cleansing is a beautiful thing. Sadly against a toxic killer (and let's be honest this is mostly a "toxic killers love me" perk) who camps hooks, that's a race against time that cleansing will result in you losing.

For example, I saw 4 man escapes against Omega Blink Nurses, that makes Omega Blink Nurse balanced suddenly ?

Oh look survivors complaining about more things.
If you played killer for more than a few matches a day, you'd realize that killers have almost zero control over the match in Purple or Red ranks. Calling for nerfs on numerous perks and numerous killers, numerous items, just shows you got your ass killed and got salty and need to get better. I'm a damn good killer but against a coordinated Red rank team I can get legitimately bullied and there's not much you can do. Here's why...
If survivors are constantly stuck on gens, refusing to heal, refusing to cleanse, refusing to look in chest, and do gens instead, let their team mates hang an extra 30 seconds, and do gens instead, and can loop decently, and pretty much never stop doing gens, you really can't do much, no matter how much people say "just pressure more."
So whenever I see survivors constantly complaining it's just laughable. Survivors have so many second chance perks, and the only one killers have, NOED, is also constantly bitched about.
"Surviviors have second chance perks".
Killers have second chance mechanics. The game is built around killers having a second chance at every pallet stun. The game is built around killers having a second chance at every entity blocked window. The game is built around ######### Bloodlust.
Can ya call a spade a spade or are Surviviors the only crybabies in the world?
-
I'm still confused why ppl say Ghostface against Object is useless. I've seen Object running SWF get boot stomped by Ghostface and have done it myself. It's impossible to communicate pinpoint locations to Surviviors on every map (ever try telling someone where the killer is on the Game? Or Lerys? It's a wreck lemme tell ya). Object gives you a pinpoint look but bc there's a human behind that pinpoint look, they can only give a general idea of where the killer is.
Not to mention object already carries a massive weakness of exposing the Survivior to the killer.
Either way. Ghostface as a killer is fine. He is not a Myers knockoff. He has defining characteristics that make him what I would argue an A tier killer.

That's not the point. The point is that you run enduring so the survivor drops a pallet on you and you avoid the fatigue time (4 seconds) and get the stun instead (1 second). You brought the fatigue as a stun for no reason at all.
That's at least better than what nurse deals with. If you stun her coming out of a blink she deals with both the stun AND the fatigue

It always happens after a salty survivor has just lost a match and comes here to rant about it. Meanwhile they teabag everytime they've won a match by pallet looping for 10 minutes.

Your arguments are the worst #########. That doesn't even make sense. She gets fatigued, not stunned, and that completely changes the subject. Legion reduces the fatigue by being stunned. Nurse can't even be stunned while fatiguing.
Only way she can exit her power is to deal with the fatigue stun or get stunned. Simple
-

Been a problem since day one of the supposed ‘minor changes’ to Legion. It’s actually smarter btw to run Enduring on Legion just to have your fatigue timer completely ignored by getting stunned. Funny how a Killer HAS to rely on getting stunned to exit their ability, huh?

Bring BT and save the poor soul on the hook. Protect him. Just watch out for MYC!
Other counters are: Keys, all perks that lets you avoid getting down/caught in the first place. Bound and Kindred can be useful too.
An early Mori is not different from a early DC or someone who kills themselves on the first hook.
If you have trouble finding the totem spots, run small game for a while until you memorize the common spawning points.
You aren't hearing me. Say I hook a survivor in the basement and facecamp them. Even if the Surviviors abandon their hooked friend to die, they have 2 options here. And both are a losing situation for them if the killer runs Noed.
1. Genrush. Hard. But this would require 3 toolboxes, no ruin, and doing literally nothing except generators. No healing. No cleansing. No sabotaging. No hiding. No poking in to see if a save is possible. No nothing. Fall on the gens and pray to God the guy holds on, don't doing nothing, while we hopefully get gens done.
2. Don't rush gens to stop Noed, and the. The guy on the hook dies for nothing
-
Noed is the entitlement perk. It's the insecurity perk. It's the "I don't trust my own ability to get me out of this snag so I'm gonna run this perk to salvage a bad game". And nobody should think that they did good after wasting 5-10 minutes of everyone's time only 2k'ing bc of his own incompetence and insecurity.
In the context of the game it's the only real answer to Adrenaline so it isn't getting nerfed. But currently it's a stupid perk bc there isn't emphasis on secondary objectives for Surviviors. Inner strength is a good direction to take the Survivior meta bc it provides a tangible reward for doing totems even if Noed isn't in the picture, which gives a secondary objective. But that's not far enough. There needs to be a totem counter.

Remove a killer 2nd chance perk with the removal of a survivor 2nd chance perk.
Don’t bother, all you NOED haters are going to decline the offer, so forget about responding...because with any one of those removed, the killer won’t need NOED.

The problem in your games is you, you yourself need to get better so that you can survive when the odds are overwhelmingly against you.
Now I sound like a generic ''git gud'' spokesperson but no I'm giving advice. If your teams are constantly going down to ######### killers who need to camp and need Moris and NOED then your teams are lacking the most important role, The Runner.
You need to learn how to kite and loop hard, you need to learn the loops, what's safe and not safe, the windows, don't throw down pallets early etc. You need to be the one who runs that Killer around the map until he gets tired of you or until your ######### team can do the Gens. I learned how to do this and everyone who does doesn't have these problems that much. Now you may still die because your team sucks ass without lips but you will die knowing you got better and that you died with honor, you were the very ######### best and everyone who dies after you is a ######### stain someone else will find because they can't loop for more than 5 seconds.
Everyone has a different strategy when they do this, mine is Dead Hard. I will loop windows and normal loops etc and I will switch it up and move to another one sometimes without dropping pallets. When I get hit I drop the pallet the next time around and force them to break it and drop their Bloodlust giving me more time to go to another loop and Dead Hard will get me to another pallet somewhere far away from everyone. Dead Hard extends chases like you would not believe if you don't already use it.
So become a Runner and kite that Killer for the team and die with your middle fingers out or escape with your head held wherever you hold it whether you're prideful or not. I hold my head down because I respect the Killer since I would rather be the one sticking my claws into people's backs than running away from it.
And there's the rub. Save for Badham, chases are yours to lose. You cannot win against the killer by yourself. If you are the runner, you need your teammates to do objectives. If they blaze down the gens then the killer likely runs Noed and you go down. If they don't blaze down the gens then you lose bc pallets are finite, entity blocker, and tier 3 Bloodlust all exist.
This is where the BS about "infinites" come in. "Infinites" only exist if the remaining 3 Surviviors finish the game before all the "you suck at chases so here's the bones we're gonna throw at you to help" mechanics come in to save killers from losing outright. I constantly find myself wanting to side with Surviviors on issues of game balance bc killers spend all their fkn time complaining about how survivors get all these second chance perks but second chance mechanics literally exist to save them when they're bad at chases.
This is what has always confused me as a survivor and killer player. If I were to camp somebody the counter to that would be if all the Surviviors genrushed and punished me for camping by applying pressure through gens. But let's say I run Noed, suddenly the counter to both my camping and Noed is to somehow genrush and not genrush at the same time. This means camping suddenly becomes a lose/lose

Clown has circumstances where he outshines Freddy. He can affect multiple Surviviors and can control area even without hitting someone.
Also Clown is not the worst killer. I'd give that title to the yummy mummy herself.

I love how we get 6 survivor perks and were bashing one of them. We got twice as many perks as normal. They cant all be good, meta perks. 1/6 being niche is fine...
"Niche" and "useless" aren't synonymous. As someone with a Kate profile picture, you should know what useless perks look like considering 2/3 of Kate's perks are worthless and the other 1/3 is what we would consider "niche"

I love inner strength. It's the perfect nerf to Noed.

Basically if you are oblivious you cannot hear the killers terror radius and, by extension, cannot be impacted positively or negatively by terror radius based perks (examples of such include Stake out, Diversion, overwhelming presence. Unnerving presense. Infectious fright. And probably other perks I'm forgetting.)
It has the upsides of making sure certain killer perks don't work, but bc a killer who plays around oblivious will obviously not use those perks, the only time I'd say it helps a survivor is against infectious fright (that is, if a killer even uses it). In other instances, Surviviors that are oblivious are largely debuffed.

While I can agree it's not a farfetched idea..licensed survivors almostcalways come out with a over the top perk
Quentin and Tapp had over the top perks?
