  • Call me crazy but I don't think Surviviors should have to waste their time cleansing dull totems on the off chance the killer has NOED. I've often heard NOED compared to Adrenaline, and I think this is an unfair comparison. For starters, instantly healing one health state is nowhere near as powerful as an instadown, as if the Killer is running a More it often results in flat death to any Survivior.

The second thing is that Adrenaline rewards Surviviors for completing their primary objective: doing generators. Whereas NOED rewards killers for failing at their primary job: stopping the generators from being done. Blood Warden is also guilty of this, but isn't complained about nearly as much as it doesn't give a killer an instant evil within 3 that lasts until a totem is miraculously discovered by Surviviors scared shitless by the nurse flying across the map insta killing everything she sees.

NOED has, for the longest time, been a perk that bad killers use to salvage their unskilled play. Decisive strike was the same way, and enough complaints got it effectively deleted from the game, by being reworked into a perk that enduring renders completely useless (enduring also being free to every player as it comes from Billy). The fact that Surviviors have to worry about dull totems is one of the dumbest moves Behaviour has ever made.

Make NOED a normal burning totem. If you cleanse it, that's it. And remove the haste affect, an insta down is enough of a perk that a haste is overkill. And people justifying noed by telling people to "just cleanse totems" are probably the same killer mains that say tunnelling and Camping isn't a dick strategy and complain about decisive and borrowed time being able to counter the playstyle.
