Yeah it’s pretty great

Solo survivor is easy af right now. I lost track of how often i escaped. Even with trash builds.
Damn what teammates are you getting? While I escape some matches most are a 3 to 4K and I’m in rank 2 Right now

How hard is a certain game for killer/surv depends on a lot of factors. Everyone who is being honest and plays both sides knows that not every game for one side is easy or hard.
Ranking up is easy tho if you play a lot. Escaping and 4k'ing every game isn't easy nor possible.
That’s the thing RNG is the difficulty of this game. If it’s a meta build Freddy on saloon then that’s a killer sided game but if it’s addon less wraith on haddonfield then it’s survivor sided
-
I’d honestly rather just have double bp base
-
Tbf both sides are pretty easy
-
He plays him occasionally from what I’ve seen so he doesn’t hate him like slinger for example
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Why does it matter? I'd rather him not give his opinion considering what it caused with Spirit and Oni
What happened to oni? He is currently one of the most Balanced killers in the game. As for spirit his opinion is very fair Imo
-
They’ve said they had plans for it since silent hill and still haven’t changed it yet
-
Spirit is one of the few killers who can 4K regardless of maps or perks imo. She has full control in chase and very little counterplay with little reward for even pulling it off( no fatigue, long cooldown)
She has a lot of ways to track you besides audio even some visual such as scratch marks and foliage moving.
while really good spirit are rare trying to tell the difference between a decent and very good spirit is very hard since her only skill is tracking
-
@DjangoTheGhostface said:
They don't exist, spirit actually is top tier but like the low tier Freddy how good they are have nothing to do with why people hate her. Spirit focuses you to play differently, the trade off is tremendous counterplay.
I mean most of the time i just start walking to the side and it confuses tf out of them. Maybe because no one else does it and are content in just running mindlessly towards pallets.
Other than that is the fact that she can stand still and you cant be sure if she's afk or not.....even tho this only works at loops and as such you can stall her as much as she stalls you by just walking to the end away from her
If that works consistently I’d be worried about the ranks you’re fighting against
-
Survivors: Jane and Quentin with Jeff and elodie as secondaries
Killers: ATM plague and Freddy but change every so often. Used to main clown before rework
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Fair instadowns are fine, they add some fear to the game and make killers seem more lethal. MYC, HG, tier 3 etc
Its just ones that feel unfair that are a bit bs. NOED, previously instasaw before the nerf, iri head + infantry belt combo
Can’t forget Pinky finger
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Thats what they love to do to killers, lock them in animation. Often for "balance". I wish they would understand that sometimes there may be better options, responsive controls are what makes survivor fun and makes killer feel like trying to control a tank
Some killers need it but I believe Freddy is the only killer who doesn’t get slowed down by anything. For example nurse needs slowdowns and stuns to balance her immense power
-
@GannTM said:
I feel the same way. This game means a lot to me and I don’t want to see it die.
Yeah honestly if this game died I’d have no idea what to move to next
-
@Tsulan said:
I can only speak from my matchs in EU solo queue and unless a survivor suicides or disconnects, its a easy 3 or 4 man escape. Gens fly so fast that when a killer gets his third hook, the survivors already completed the 4th gen.
The devs said once on a stream, that they haven´t seen an increase in suicides. So i hope they filter the matches with suicides from the stats.
Honestly can say most of my solo matches are 3ks to 4ks. Mostly because there is a weak link and the killer will abuse that
-
Jeff and Jane
-
As a plague main you’re right but replace huntress with slinger

I never said to run next to a wall, I only express my point of view to people who try to do tricks in games, an example, Ayrun when he plays survivor.
I mean killers are constantly walking backwards so I think it’s fine

That's usually what happens if you're a fan of horror, you watch so much of it that it starts getting cliche and realize all there is in horror movies/tv shows they end up having screamers everywhere. The only time I've actually been scared is if I stop watching or playing anything horror related and go back to it after a month or so. I'm pretty sure anyone would realize that horror seems to be dying if they keep using the same ideas, I mean I still appreciate the dark ambience, atmosphere and all that but looking for horror in a multiplayer game seems to be impossible now a days.
I believe what's needed in a game that's horror is one that isn't online multiplayer to begin with, I could be wrong though as I'm sure there are other games out there that's a horror PvE game but can still have online gameplay.
Fans of the horror genre just won't easily find things scary where as newcomers can still find it scary and do it for thrills.
I just like to think of dbd as a horror themed game as opposed to full on horror

there's no such thing as low tier killers. Every killer is viable, some of them just require more effort, that's it.
PS: now please send me some of your salt :)
While some are worse than others I agree. I’ve played old clown in red ranks since I got him. Picked up plague now

I am still waiting for anything on Chapter 19....all the time....and we get nothing....waiting so freaking long 😤.
Don’t people want them to fix the game first?
-
What do you want people to do? Run in a panic into a wall. You get desensitised to any horror media after playing or watching it for some time.
-
Only map I’ve had trouble with is storehouse that has double pallets back again
Totems spots will be learned no matter how well they are placed and you take that risk when you bring a hex so either don’t use them or stop complaining about them getting cleansed quickly
-
I’d say having 3 traps to start and having trap struggling be like snapping out of it would make trapper a lot more fun to play as
-
I base killer wins on hooks as I think that’s the most important thing
Survivor is just did I have fun really I don’t care if I escape or not

Hmm,i would say it's still ok on maps with really good totem spots (e.g dead dawg saloon or indoor maps),but other than that your totems get found quite quickly and you spend the rest of your match with 2 perks,which is why i almost never run hex perks.I hate the RNG behind it.
True i don’t like using hexes either I use pop oppression mainly

Dude,Ruin+Undying got pretty much killed this update what do you want? lol
Killed is a bit strong tbf. It’s still an extra life for your ruin alongside some aura reading not to mention devour undying

Infinites got nerfed and replaced with huge deadzones.
There wasn't a gen nerf, there was toolboxes and prove thyself nerf.
Only map rework that is survivor sided was Gideon.
Keys are being reworked.
When people talk about sabo nerf, they aren't talking about the hooks respawning, they're talking about not being able to 99% them anymore.
D-strike needed a nerf, with that I can agree.
Kindred was already a BBQ counter, and OoO if reworked how they mentioned, is going to improve solo Q, which right now is the most undervalued side of the game.
Dead Hard is fine and so is spine chill.
There actually was a small nerf to stacking on gens. The slowdown when stacking on gens was increased from 10% to 15%
-
@Rivyn said:
So, because one thing gets nerfed, it means the other unbalanced things aren't an issue anymore? Pyramid Head got a nerf awhile back. Does that mean Freddy shouldn't get one? Nurse was nerfed, so Spirit shouldn't be adjusted? This is an ever evolving multiplayer game. There will always be changes.
What, you think because infinites were 'fixed,' (even though they were reintroduced with breakable walls recreating them), other issues shouldn't be resolved?
Gens weren't touched, Prove Thy Self was, even though it was a slight adjustment, while Ruin was gutted.
Toolboxes may be controversial, I'll give you that.
Saboing was nerfed, because you can't 99 a hook anymore? Or was it because hooks respawn after a set time? You don't see an issue with that, considering what SWF can bring?
What's wrong with map reworks?
We don't know about keys. What, you think keys should be left alone, while Mori's were adjusted? And you say you play 50/50?
If you don't see the issue with DS as it stands, then I don't know what to tell ya. The core of DS remains the same, it just can't be abused as easily anymore.
OoO is a toxic perk. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it. Why you brought it up is beyond me.
From your rant, it seems you want things to stay the same. How can you hope for growth if it's a stale mess that's never fixed? Wanting balance equals greed in your eyes?
Ruin has only gotten better. Against competent survivors old ruin was useless tbh and was only good against newer players. New ruin is really solid against all players so long as the killer pressures gens like they should be
-
@Gay_Police_Dept said:
Let's call it "NerFNoeD"
Noed is fine tbh. It kinda rewards bad killers but totems aren’t hard to find bar like 3 maps
-
It does what every other exhaperk does but in a different way. It extends chases about the same as a well use BL or lithe tbh
Also isn’t bamboozle kinda the same where you press a button to outplay someone?
-
@GannTM said:
Deathslinger’s design isn’t very healthy imo. You can’t really dodge a shot from the Deathslinger because it goes so fast that you can’t physically react to it. The only explanation for why one avoids a Deathslinger shot is because the Deathslinger player was just too impatient or just simply missed. It has nothing to do with the survivors’ input.
The big problem with Deathslinger and his design is that fixing him so he isn’t oppressive anymore is super hard to do. Giving him a windup time makes him do the exactly same thing Huntress does but makes him worse, so that’s not a solution. Other oppressive killers like Spirit, Freddy, and Pyramid Head are a lot more simple to fix imo.
Best way to do it imo is to make the chain break easier or give survivors more movement. If slinger is walking backwards while reeling survivors get next to no movement and cannot put objects between them. Giving them more control would alleviate this issue and give him actual counterplay with survivors positioning.
Also he could use a bigger TR as it’s too small imo
-
Yeah I don’t know it’s more points for everyone if he hooks
-
@GannTM said:
It’s very obvious the devs don’t know what’s best for the game
Yeah map balance is still terrible with disturbed ward being very survivor sided.
-
Other than current desync issues loving it more than ever. Getting better at killer has made me want to play more and this event is giving me something to work towards
-
@indieeden7 said:
Not at all, the fog is SIGNIFICANTLY thicker than that of any other map, hatch is impossible to find as either side and fat shaming spots everywhere. Not only that but the 2 maps have a layout that is too similar IMO.
Exactly how I feel about it
-
Yeah there needs to be a bigger penalty for suiciding. Also replace struggle phase with skill checks
-
I think oni was the only killer to get separate pov and survivor music
-
I mean spirit is hard to beat period but she is a good proxy camper so it’s hard
-
While I does it was unintentional. Survivor queues are good finally at least
-
I’ve played plague pretty consistently since I got her so I know some things.
- My preferred strategy at the early game is infect everyone quickly then chase.
- Corrupt purge is very important don’t forget to use fountain unless the survivors will rob you of them by using all of them
- If they don’t cleanse try to spread your pressure and try to catch survivors in dead zones
- Always slug when possible with corrupt to build east pressure
- Best addons are rubbing oil and cooldown
- Bring some kind of tracking perk since survivors will commonly stealth during corrupt
- Always infect gens to scare survivors away or force an infection
- My personal build is Corrupt, Pop, Thana, and BBQ
-
I don’t see a new gamemode helping this game. Everyone would get bored of it quickly and I’d rather them work on something more important
-
Content keeps people playing
-
There should be a way to opt out of a match if your teammates are just useless but struggle phase needs to be hold the button or skill checks
-

Killers have a compulsion to always 4K. Killers complain even when they 4K. The game is just fortunate to have an abundance of casual survivors to fill in and satisfy the egos of killers. Most of whom do not come to forums to complain. They either re-queue to lose again (be camped, tunneled, slugged, or killrushed) or they quit.
Survivors are more receptive of losing, killers are not.
I’d agree that killers do complain when they don’t get a 4K but survivors complain if they don’t escape quite a lot too
Also what’s the difference between killrushing and tunnelling I thought they were the same?
-
@GannTM said:
For survivor, I play Meg all the time. She’s awesome and deserves the amount of mains she has.
For killer, Spirit is my most played and the one I mostly enjoy. I love her lore, aesthetics and pretty much everything about her. I really wish she was more fair because I’m just super passionate for her.
Cleary people play her when she has 70+ cosmetics it’s insane

Just as this person, I'm a full time Jane one trick who plays Quentin ocassionally. As for killer, I do love to use Plague and Wraith, sometimes Demo and Piggy too
We need more Quentin players he’s just great!
-
I main Jane as survivor but Quentin is second place. They are both uncommon characters and I love their cosmetics
For killer I play clown slinger and billy
-
Oni and Claudette have challenges I believe
