And it also proves that it's possible to return from a 17 second gen and 59 second DS stun on Rotten Fields.
And your point is? Who said it is not possible?
But it also proves survivors have upper-hand with zero skill, and killer has to work his way around their million rewards for having literally no skill.

And how many of these teams do you normally face too?
The fact being that if you didn't play Trapper you'd also stand a much better chance at winning since Trapper relies on late-game pressure, whilst killers like Freddy, Spirit, Billy, and Nurse could've made more than enough pressure earlier (or in the case of Billy, could've actually interrupted that gen).
How many of "these" teams? Maybe none, because they suck and I go against mostly way better teams that gen rush even harder than that.
This video just proves that theoretically a gen can be done in 17 seconds, though it's not optimal nor is it efficient for them to all work on a gen and do so.
-
All killer players.
The Silent Hill map is broken as hell, a survivor horror map wouldn't work on DbD.. But it's a cash-grab, so..

Well i think with bt what youre saying wouldnt work. I see what youre going for but the problem is its almost always a protection hit. If the survivor gets pulled off the hook and the killer hits them as soon as their feet touch the ground, the game counts that as a protection hit because of proximity.
With die for your sins survivors could abuse that pretty easy by standing close to the survivor but not pulling them off. This would result in killer trying to protect thr hook and getting punished for it.
The others seem ok
Regarding DFYS: Maybe, but that mean one (or more) survivors will be busy, and one on hook, so at best 2 are working gens.. Is it really worth it?
I agree with you with BT and I was scared of it happening too, to be honest.. It's good on paper, but..

Thats what it shows in the picture.
Your picture shows not fully charged gauge. My gauge is fully charged and red, and even his walking animation shows his "readiness" to enter Blood Fury but pressing CTRL does nothing.
I am afraid it's even yet another Oni bug.

For me even when the gauge is full, pressing CTRL does not activate his power.
I am M1 killer all trial, yay!

Oh i know i can check SWFs, thats not what I was asking. Divine said I shouldnt use it against unskilled ppl...which I cant possibly know how good they are when I'm picking my offering.
OH I get it now.
Personally, I never take the risk anymore, because as I said 80% it's SWF (and that's generous percentage). I just go on destroy mode whenever I feel like it.
Does not worth to give them benefit of doubt trust me.

How am i suppose to know that from the lobby screen?
When they spawn at the same time, when they have similar names, their items choices (last game had key+map), check steam profiles.
A lot of them have to hide it but experience taught me it's 80% I am against SWF, in-game it's way too obvious they have comms. Also, because even when I play solo survivor I never ever meet them in queue.

Never said Survivor was hard or skillfull, good teams or people paying attention will win most matches with good settups.
Then even if you argument is true (which is not, just play red rank killer as Spirit and let's see how it goes), what's the problem? Why can't killers also be no skill with crutch second chance perks?
-
Just had a game with 3-man SWF who had a key, and guess what happened?
It was especially funny when one friend was trying to find the key of his mori'd friend.
Oh yeah, they also had a map and a flashlight too.

Survivor is casual easy mode with literally no skill and is good for people who like to hold M1 button, change my mind.

it just shows how much this game gives survivors that they can be that bad and still be in the high ranks. It also illuminates the reason why the devs favor survivors. Although this creates a cycle where survivors get progressively worse at the game. Survivors are just bad at the game and there's no reason for them to even get better because the game is so easy for them in the first place.
This times a million. Imagine a killer with their equivalent skill-level, what would happen?! What can be a "crutch" for him? NOED wit it's million counters and only active in end game?

So true, with ruin I never tunneled/camped and literally never used NOED.

They did the first Gen super-fast because they dedicated their loadout to this. Afterwards, they lost heavily. If anything this proves that the early Gen does not matter (which is true) or that Killers are very oppressive.
Or:
It shows those survivors can't play for the life of them, second chance perks toolboxes and still failed.
Other than that, it shows how the game is survivor-sided because just imagine those survivors actually had little common sense and were average.
Also, Otz plays 10 hours a day 5-6 days a week, so...
Which means (tl;dr):
Game survivor based and rewards survivors for not even having common sense, while average killer-player would get destroyed so hard easily.

A game that ends with 2 gens done, a 4k, and a 2 pip despite survivors doing the first gen in 17 seconds and getting a 59 second ds off on one of the more survivor sided maps in the game.
I'm sorry man but if you're trying for the narrative of "killers are weak" this fails at proving your point. There are so many games where gens are done in seconds why would you choose the game with a 4k and a 2 pip at the end of it?
Did you see the video? Those survivor can not loop for the life of them. So without a skill they managed to get a gen done in 17 seconds.
Now imagine, just imagine, survivors who actually can get chased attempt this?
Notice: This video is about gen speeds.
P.S: Otz plays the game literally like 10 hours a day 5-6 days a week too.

It's good if you are a survivor main from an aesthetic level, but it totally kills the gameplay for killers.

This game is tremendously survivor sided at high skill levels. The only reason survivors don't win literally every match is because of how ######### the ranking system is so a lot of boosted bad players are in red ranks diluting the pool of players. If those rank 12's weren't in red ranks due to the ######### medal system then Killers have to try as hard as possible just for a 2k.
I also noticed that. Why is it so hard to pip as a killer, yet so easy on survivor (once you hit rank 8) I wonder?

He already admitted that he is like a rank 16 killer or something, and indeed plays against high ranks.
I am not sure he is a troll, he is just new to the game and did not play killer much. He should not have claimed killer is easy mode though, especially when survivors = casual mode, hold M1 and get chased for 40-60 seconds with second chance perk.

ds is a pain in the ass already i think it should stay one use but deactivate on a full heal.
A totem cleansing speed perk would be nice dunno why there hasn't been one added to be honest. Also the progressing a generator would seem a bit overpowered in my opinion.
DS is a pain when not used as anti-tunneling to be honest, so getting fully healed or doing generators/totems/whatever could work..
Progressing a generator: it requires a hex totem, so mostly one (if any) hex totem to be cleansed, and the cleanser must have one perk slot all game.. Not sure if OP, it's just a fun perk.

That means that the game is inherently unbalanced. This is a terrible argument for why they shouldn't fix this game. If chess was imbalanced at high level play and white won 80% of games, but at low level play black won 80% of games, do you think chess would have lasted as long as it has? If they don't fix this, this game will have no staying power.
It sucks for everyone in it's current state. You are right, it's a level very few people are at, so the game sucks to most survivors who think killers are OP. But at the top level play, there is nothing you can do as a killer to beat top level survivors who play perfectly. No matter how perfect you play. This sucks for killers.
What they need to do is tweak the game. Nerf looping/pallets/windows, in some way that affects only high level players but not low level players who are gonna get hit anyway.
Personally i'd like to see that the game has a large number of pallets in a map, but all of them are extremely unsafe.
This video in general is really good and i'd recommend it, but this part right here is a perfect example of nerfing something that is really good at high level play, but terrible at low level play.
This is so nicely well written.

Yeah if the idea is for it to be antitunnel then that would do it. If they want to hide in a corner injured the rest of the match to hang onto ds then whatever. But when they do a totem or gen or heal someone else then clearly they arent being tunneled. Pallets and vaults should be the only exception.
100 percent agree.
What do you think of my other proposed ideas?

Because not every game is SWF. you mentioned in your post that survivor is easy and you can escape every single time using meta perks when that isn't the case. Not everyone plays SWF. Even when I face an obvious SWF, matches can go either way even with the meta perks they use. Like you mentioned, mistakes are the downfall of them and the same goes for killer too. If you're fixated on the fact that you have to 4K every match, then sorry, but you have the wrong mindset and then I would understand why you'd get frustrated. The same goes for survivor thinking you're supposed to escape every single match. That isn't the case either.
The entitlement mindset is what corrupts both sides IMO.
I am fixated on not rewarding survivors for playing bad and spitting at killers for putting so many hours learning a killer's powers, having a stressful trial and doing mostly everything right (and don't get me started with the nerfs, learning a killer just so it get nerfed because survivors can't 'git gud' and counter him).
Literally all they have to do is M1 and get chased for 40-60 seconds while having crutch perks and team mates that actually do gens, I stand by that. Most of their downfalls are potato team mates that don't even do gens.
-
@Uistreel said:
I think that some people want him changed, not because he's too strong per se, but because he is incredible easy to play. Extremely low risk, very high reward. He requires little to no skill to learn and is one of the strongest killers in the game. I know some people also believe that besides waking up, he has no real counter in chase. With snares, if you step on them you slow down and he gets the hit, if you avoid them you've lost distance and he gets the hit. With pallets some people find it unfun that you sort of have to guess which ones are fake and which aren't. This would make him annoying and boring to them, similar to how spirit does. Another big thing that sort of links back into the first part about being very easy to play is that he really has no downside to him. Pretty much all killers have some form of downside to counteract with their power. Some have stuns, others have major cooldowns, some need to gain their power over time, etc. He has none of these (besides a cooldown on his teleport, which isn't the part people complain about). Overall, I think most of the people who want him changed or nerfed just think it's a bit unfair how easy he is to play and how strong he is compared to that, along with the factors of guessing, no realistic counters and no downsides to his power.
Keep in mind that these are not necessarily my personal opinions, just ones that I've seen from others.
Survivors literally require no skill but holding M1 and getting chased for 40-60 seconds and using second chance perks. Why is it so bad when there is a killer that requires "little skill"?

I play both and find survivor way harder than killer. I almost exclusively play solo survivor and I can't begin to tell you how many useless team mates I get at red ranks. From boosted red rank players who don't belong there, from toxic SWF dying right away because they're trolls/hook bomb, from the DC's, the sandbagging, survivors allergic to gens, and overall selfish players makes the solo experience for me at least more miserable than killer. I have to worry about my team mates AND the killer.
For killer, I don't really feel none of that because it's me vs 4. I dictate how most of my matches are going to go MOST of the time. The rare times I can't is because I'm facing a strong team and that is OK for me. I learn a lot from those games. You can't win them all and that is 100% fine with me. Red ranks.
Everything you mentioned is error of players and not the game being "balanced", "killer-sided" or killer being easier mode (that's just absurd, holding M1 and getting chased for at least 40 seconds while having second chance perks is casual mode).
As a killer, I mostly go against optimized teams. What now? Why not nerf them?

You clearly misunderstood what I was saying about that. You slug them with infectious fright and you’re essentially using that guy as a way of giving you another target to chase. As long as you stay on someone constantly, survivors never win. They will never win. That’s why I say second chance perks absolutely have a place in the game. And good killers work around them too easily to where they are almost useless. Survivors need better perks that protect THEMSELVES. Most are all coop perks which is great! But usually the game becomes very sad to play when you’re constantly getting pummeled and left behind and there’s nothing you can do about it. It happens on solo and it happens when the killer camps you. Killers don’t deserve to get rewarded by camping. That’s not what you’re supposed to do! By all means go ahead, but NEVER would I reward anyone in a game I create for camping. Not ever. I’m not talking about points. Survivors should be able to defend themselves better without having to WORK for it first. THATS the whole point of a PERK! Killers have unlimited uses on their add ons and perks. Survivors have limited uses. Yet people still complain about survivors even having limited use perks? That’s really sad.
Why not just stream some killer gameplay? Preferably high rank but I mean...
It's so easy why not play it?

Well I guess I have really bad luck as survivor, as around 80% of my teammates are idiots.
I actually edited my post but will put it here again:
Honestly I play solo survivor and share your pain, but that's not to say it's because the game is not survivor-sided or "balanced", it's just survivor mode attracts casuals more and they make lots of mistakes.
And I know ranks does not correlate skill, but I am saying as a high ranked killer most of the games are pure hell because you rarely ever go against clueless potato survivors.
Like I said, spend some time playing killer (it's actually fun and makes you a better DbD/Survivor player) at high ranks and report back.

Not really. I think that survivor is way more difficult. You rely on your teammates, who could quite possibly be potatoes. I simply find killer easier. Thats my opinion. Although I am new to both roles, this game is simply too easy. And I find killer easier.
I shared your opinion when I was a new player too.
The thing is, for killers to win you have to go against a team of potatoes (as you put it) survivors who make dozen of mistakes and don't even have common sense.
But once you reach high ranks as survivor you should be ranked with good survivors. Also, most survivors you face as a killer on high ranks are organized SWF with voice communications or just solo queued who have common sense, that's why killer role is more difficult.
Honestly I play solo survivor and share your pain, but that's not to say it's because the game is not survivor-sided or "balanced", it's just survivor mode attracts casuals more and they make lots of mistakes.

It doesn't make it anymore broken but most of those perks won't affect the killer what-so-ever when using that build on a already strong killer.
I don't agree at all.
Play Freddy with that build and report back. He can be escaped, he is only deadly against noob survivors.
-
@Kellie said:

It DOES make it broken. No matter what you'll always die against this build unless the Freddy is absolute garbage. Crutch perks for survivor won't matter when the team will be slugged and suiciding on hook because they know they won't escape.
It does not make it any more broken then a baby survivor with DS, Adrenaline, Unbreakable, Self-Care/Inner-Strength (I did not even take count for exhaustion perk!), and a little Borrowed Time touch. Now multiply it by four.
There are a lot of counters to slugging, even just now they added a perk for Cheryl. Low survivors with little brainpower lose to slugging.
BUT, honestly I do agree with you Freddy is a no skill high reward killer. Still, how is it any worse than four crutch-perked survivors?

Do you honestly believe killer, even at high ranks, is "Easy mode" compared to survivor, especially when you are playing survivor at high ranks?
Get out of here my dude. To each his own I guess, but you seem biased to survivor role.
Like I said though, get to high ranks on both roles and then decide.
-
@Kellie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1433664#Comment_1433664
Let me break it down for you.
Freddy, a already strong killer at base being able to shut down loops, and having good generator pressure with slow down and detection perks. Running a build like that will at least guarantee a 3K. That build is clearly busted especially on a killer like Freddy.
And yeah, the build isn't fun. Its frustrating and annoying to play against. Go in a match against forever freddy and try to enjoy it.
All that does not make it "broken" and does not give you the right to judge the killer for using it when you have 16 crunch perks per game.
-
Because they actually play both sides and realize survivor is easy mode for casuals?
Hold M1 and get chased for 40-60 seconds while using crutch perks and boom, you escape all games.
You have to have terrible team mates who make dozen of mistakes for killers to stand a chance.

math doesn't lie. Optimal survivors will always beat optimal killers. The problem is, most survivors aren't optimal. I know, i 4k in probably 9/10 games i play. And i don't disagree that it is hard. But as soon as you go against a SWF depip squad, you are gonna lose, every time.
The point i am making is that at the highest level of play, survivors are OP. This is why they need to balance the game beter.
I don't believe your statistics (9 out of 10 game, yeah right) at all. Stream some (10) high level killer games.

Also not a red rank killer. Haven't been for a long time either. As I said, I only play it for points. I do stream occasionally, but most of my time goes into #########, low quality videos lmao. But seriously, I don't really play killer anymore. My rank has been reset to grey. That makes me hate killer even more. I just find it even more easy. Funny thing is though, matchmaking is so bad that I still go against a lot of red ranks.
That's all okay but you can't say "ez 4 kills" and "git gud" when you play against low ranks survivors.
Get high rank at both sides then come and honestly tell me killer is easy mode, this is very laughable no offense.
P.S: not all red ranks survivors are equal too, a lot are boosted.

This is a stretch even for the DbD community. The reason BHVR nerfed Billy is because they thought he was overperforming, and now they're going to be "happy with the current design"...just like they're now happy with Ruin's current state, Nurse's current bug-ridden state etc. Doesn't really matter if we're not happy with it. As long as they are it's all good, right?
...right guys?
Real reason for nerf is survivor mains are casual players and not the smartest people in the entity realm, they have to cater to them because literally all they can do is hold M1 and loop killer for 40-60 seconds per chase and the rest unfolds itself with second chance perks and awesome gen speeds. And if that don't work, they try to dictate killer to use perks of their own choice and literally play the way they want so they deem it "fun" (as if killer is here to entertain them) while not giving one damn about killer's fun at all. Selfish and entitled.

I play both sides, and I think killer is easy mode. I get a 4k almost every time easily. Also, apply gen pressure is super easy. Get good at chases, down survivors, get early hooks, slug sometimes. Only hook if theres no one around, and always use infectious. Slug as much as you can. Getting two slogans and that only one person is on gens at most. I personally think that the game is in its most balanced state. It takes skill to win on both sides. Just GIT GUD.

They keep trying to make it easier and easier for survivors because they are mostly casuals who literally can only hold M1 button and "loop" killer. While playing killer requires you to learn his power which is a steep learning curve for each single killer (not to mention, micromanaging and the stress).

1 in 10 matches is already too terrible, since it literally disables your playability.
But that statistic is way too generous. For me like I said, played 5-6 games, 2-3 were bugged.

What makes you think that?🤗
What makes YOU think that?
Dude, you seriously don't see the flaw in your logic? You are not seeing what I am doing or getting at? Seriously what's with survivor mains....
"ApPlY GeN PrEsSuRe" it's honestly sad people play only one side for literal thousands of hours while not touching other side, and just repeating what other people say. Go stream some red rank killer gameplay and let us see how you apply pressure.
I play both sides and trust me, Survivor is easy mode and the game is heavily imbalanced.

Sorry, looking for an actual answer instead a mad killer who can't apply gen pressure :)
That was a real answer though.
Sorry, looking for an actual answer instead of a bad survivor who can't even loop and has to rely on second chance perks and getting carried by the time, while mostly using Adrenaline and complaining about NOED.
