In identity V crows alert inactive survivors, also if the survivor would not be doing his objective (gens) then it would be considered holding the game hostage as 2 survivors already can do this and it's bannable.
Thanks for having common sense.

It's hard talking to people who lack in basic logical thinking. The game is over once the survivors escaped or died, if 3 people are dead the last guy doesn't stand a chance to finish a gen on his own unless the killer is an absolute potato, that's why the hatch is there. Yet killers have no built in mechanic that is similar to the hatch, you ######### up as killer and it's over.
If the game was actually harsh on survivors hatch would still only spawn if enough gens are done and survivors who are doing nothing but hiding all game would be revealed with crows similar to identity V.
The hatch by design cannot be killersided, it's there so the last survivor still has a chance to escape, it was literally made so survivors could have their pitty win in case they got crushed. Without it he'd just die unless it's one of those rare situations where you're on the last gen and finishing it as your last teammate dies.
######### thank you, why is it so hard to explain it to them?
They are so entitled man, all those advantages and all they have to do is hump a gen (m1) and loop for 90 seconds and still act toxic and want more nerfs..

hatch shouldn't be a thing in the first place. You lost, your team is dead.
Exactly but the third grade teacher says it's killer favored, third grade logic indeed.
So many advantages those survivors have...

Did you read my main post? No one said it's hard, it's just poor design that requires zero skill and is just boring and tedious.
There is zero skill in slugging third person, you realize that right?

If no survivors are dead and the egc has started, a shrine needs to randomly spawn, and if the killer finds it before all survivors have left, one random survivor will die. After all, you're not supposed to get a 4 man escape every game...
It would also stop survivors from waiting at the exit or hook bombing at the last second.
This, pretty much.

So much this LOL! Seems his third grade students gave him the idea, it's that level of logic at best.
Entitled survivor mains man, all the advantages they got yet they still act toxic to the killer and demand more nerfs.. Survivor at this rate is casual easy mode for those who don't want any challenge at all yet still like they are accomplishing something with their lives.

Then why else would you want Noed basekit? How bad do you have to be at a game to ask for a free down on anyone you come in contact with at a point when the trial is already lost for you? Noed is balanced as is, you either do the bones or pay the price at the end
Still not what I am discussing.
Please take a minute to read the discussion and think about it.

They should have never existed this is the point, just because they already exist does not mean compensation is not in order.
Am I the only one who finds whining survivors ironic? Especially about NOED when they have their hatches and adrenaline (and million second chance perks)?

If you rely on noed chances are you aren't the best killer anyway
That's.... That's not the point of this discussion at all!
-
@RakimSockem said:
lol what?
That's not even comparable. NOED gives a speedboost to a killer who is already by default, faster than the survivor. And that's not taking into account Cloaked Wraith, Phasing Spirit, Chainsaw running Billy, or Blinking Nurse
Hatch is a killer favored mechanic unless the survivor already knows where it is. If both players are searching for it, the faster character (the Killer) has RNG in their favor.
That's not even including the fact that the survivor has to hide if the killer is near them so they don't get found. The killer just needs to circle the map with no fear
How the hell is hatch a killer favored mechanic when it literally gives survivors a win, someone explain to me please! 😂
So what if killer gets even more fast and et cetra, survivors get a huge advantage (free win) why can't killers also have it for playing poorly?!

I have yet to seen a source, if so, then they should buff killers and balance around voice comms whilst making it available in-game.

"literal cheaters"
Sorry man, devs have said it's not cheating. Cheating in DBD is a bannable offence and you can't be banned for using a voice comm. Unforunately it's their game, and they decide what is and isn't breaking their EULA.
"Also, 90% of survivors already gen rush, use meta perks"
Meta perk I'll agree to but genrushing? Really? I'm currently doing a project about collecting stats from games and so far the only games I've had that have been under 10 minutes have been when I've killed them too quickly (or this one time they sent me to Ormond and I gave up and opened the gates because I didn't feel like playing on Ormond for the fourth time in a row). In fact most match times are between 11 and 13 minutes. Considering gens take 80 seconds to complete, that's 400 seconds they need to spend on objectives. 11 minutes is 660 seconds, 13 minutes being 780. If you call that rushing then I'm sorry mate that's just not it chief.
When did devs say it is not cheating? Why they do not include it in-game and buff killers then?
If you believe voice comms is not cheating they I have nothing to discuss with you.
BTW: how the hell do you ban voice comms? You survivors ever stop and think?

"Yes like as a killer player I am not here to entertain the survivors or care the least about their "fun"."
So I expect you to not complain about survivors who tbag or bring meta builds, or those who rush gens because they're the survivor player, they're not here to entertain the killer or care the least about their "fun".
Did you ever see me saying that they are not "fun"? I call them noobs who abuse mechanic and literal cheaters (voice comms SWF) who are trying so damned hard on this game -while obviously playing casual mode- because they know they have the upper hand. Or let them play other balanced team PvP games and we will see how it goes.
Also, 90% of survivors already gen rush, use meta perks, so....
-
What?
Just use Infectious Fright with Monitor and Abuse, get to T3 and see how he goes.
There's also an addon that can help I think, at least for T2.
/e: to further: Myers has so many playstyles that he is most likely the best designed killer ever, in my opinion.
-
Yes like as a killer player I am not here to entertain the survivors or care the least about their "fun".
Besides, they just don't want to get good and use "fun" as an excuse. Killers have to learn multiple powers each with steep learning curve, survivors just want to hold M1 and "loop" and that's it, escape all games with second chance perks.
-
Knowing survivor, it will just add insult to injury.
-
This topic is a proof that killers only have one viable perk: NOED. Guess what? It will most likely get nerfed.
I have no clue what survivor perk to pick, we got: BT, Unbreakable, DS, Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, Adrenaline, and many more.
-
Then don't.
The problem is, you guys still play killer, so you are telling them this is okay.
I stopped playing as much as before, I max out at 2 hours (if any) per day, it's enough to remind me why I stopped playing because 9 out of 10 games I get sweaty SWF (yet SWF are apparently "not common") each with DH/SB, DS, Adren, BT, Unbreakable, etc.
And let's not forget the items and addons.

Getting hit through windows because your run on a one kb router
Another rocket science survivor logic, because lag has absolutely no draw backs on a killer.
When was the last time you saw a killer grab someone through a vault/unhook or even fixing a generator? But they are prioritizing fixing the hit detection you suggest because, well, baby survivors asked daddy BHVR for it.

I’m neither a streamer nor a dancing monkey so no thanks. If you want numbers you can go to the wiki and if you want a streamer to watch you can go to Twitch. I wish you luck learning to land blinks against survivors that run in a straight line. Happy Sunday.
What's with survivors and ad hominem anyways? If you don't know what you are talking about - then just don't! You obviously don't play killer and never touch the Nurse, and have no clue the sweaty SWF we have to take on especially in regions ME/Asia/Some parts of Europe.
Stream was to proof that you actually do touch the Nurse, but as expected, you do not.
You talked about survivor walk speed and the distance of a fully charged blink as a red herring. You did not mention: Time to recharge blinks (if you play the Nurse, you would know this is actually a thing in her base kit), time of fatigue, time of missed attacks cooldown, time to fully charge a blink, and so on so forth that yes, makes walking straight line very efficient against a Nurse especially if she loses LoS (Line of Sight for you survivors).
But you go and make wild statement "walking straight line against a Nurse? LoOoOoLzSuZ" while obviously having no idea what you are talking about here.

If you’re changing direction or u-turning you’re not running in a straight line, you’re in fact doing the opposite of running in a straight line, which only proves my point does it not?
My profile proves that I play killer so you can keep your snarky “you never play killer” to yourself.
Did you read my post?!
I said run straight line and if that don't work (I mean doh, map area is finite) just u-turn and run straight line again, how does that make your point right?
Your profile proves nothing, it could be an image from google for all I care about. Stream the Nurse gameplay if you are so pro.
And since you talked numbers and so into arithmetic: how much for charging blinks, fatigue and missed attacks?
-

Can’t people on these forums come up with anything more original than telling anyone who disagrees with anything you say that they don’t play killer? Go look at my profile if you want proof since you’re all so insistent on calling everyone survivor mains.
Survivors run at 4 metres a second. Nurse can blink up to 32 metres at base and she moves at 13 metres a second while blinking. Please tell me how brainlessly running in a straight line is good counterplay to a Nurse.
What is the time for cooldown (charging 2 blinks), missed attacks and fatigue? Or you want to tell me if you just fully charge a blink you will eventually hit them? How long would the chase take?
Walk in straight line for as long as you can then change direction/u-turn and walk straight line, rinse and repeat.. When I do that as survivor I virtually never go down and even if I do go down a chase could literally take 120 seconds.
BTW: Your profile proofs literally nothing. Stream some nurse gameplay if you insist so.
-
If killer players have to learn 20+ killers, why shouldn't survivors learn something other than "loop"? ALL killers have counters -do not fool yourself lol (I play survivor too)- this video is TOO flawed. Survivors just want to escape with least effort and daddy BHVR caters to them.
This proves what I always say: survivors are casuals who just hold m1 and "loop", no skill at all required in that.
/e: this guy is arguing that dodging a deathslinger (gun)shot is "guessing", are you people seriously taking his video serious? I mean he (and survivor mains) basically wants all killers to be M1 I guess..

I’m happy to stream for you to show what I’m talking about (ttv/majesticrey). Or you can watch guys like Otzdarva that destroy strong SWF squads daily.
If that's you then congratz, I saw results of like 5 games only though, and I am a PC player so have no clue who DbD is on consoles, but those survivors look nothing like the once we usually go against.
Also, Otz plays 10 hours a day for like 5-6 days a week, is he really a good example?
My point still stands though: survivors are rewarded for being casuals and the game carries them a lot, to win survivors have to make mistakes, does not seem balanced and is totally survivor-sided.

LMAO running in a straight line is literally the worst thing you can do against Nurse. I’m sorry but if you think Nurse struggles against survivors who run away in a straight line I’m not sure this conversation is ever gonna go anywhere, so I’m out.
Running on straight line is the worst thing you can do against a nurse?!?!?!?!?!? Ask me how I know you never played killer let alone touched the Nurse!!!!!
I mained her for so long and losing LoS/walking straight is easy win against her with all those cooldowns and fatigues.

I play a lot of killer and survivor, as killer I 4K a majority of the time. Yes, sometimes a combo of strong perks can screw me against good teams but I find that it tends to be more on unbalanced maps like Ormond or Fractured Cowshed with a million strong loops.
You also know DS and Unbreakable can only be used once. Even though Unbreakable has the secondary effect of quicker recovery, it still requires someone to get off a gen to save them. Hate DS and don’t want to slug? Eat it after first hook then tunnel them later.
How is “lots of survivor gameplay uncounterable”? What about mindgaming the survivors at loops? Using a killer’s power can be considered uncounterable as well... Spirit’s phasing, accurate hatchets/spear gun shots, etc. Both sides have stuff that can be tough to outplay based on each other’s skill.
It’s about knowing various things that can’t be explained in one post: game management, when to drop chases, keep a mental picture of where survivors are based on last known location, understanding how survivors think and what pathing they’ll take or where they’ll go. A comprehensive understanding of the game’s psychology can help you overcome even strong survivor perks.
Oh yes I get it, everyone is rank 1 killer who 4ks every game, sure sure... Yet no one ever streams it to show me.
How are survivors uncounterable? Second chance perks are uncounterable as in example DS and Unbreakable which you admitted "Eat a ds" hence, uncounterable.
Super safe structures and god windows/vaults/loops that still exist are uncounterable.
Et cetra., that every killer player knows what I am talking about and does not have to ask.
Finally yes, I also manage to get 4ks a lot but it's because I outplay the survivors, not because the game is balanced (at all!). Like I said million times, survivors with no skills? No problem, they are casuals, perks play the game for them and gen speeds. Killer with good skills who actually spend the time to get them? Spit at his face. To also see how the game is survivor sided, try to play non-strong killer and see how it goes, I mean sure some killers are viable but the majority....?

1 gen was done, which required multiple BNPs (only 1 use per trial) and toolboxes get used up quickly too. Killer still went on to 4k
why am I even explaining this? Why are we comparing 1 gen to a full team of survivors?
Because survivors have control in both situations? They were bad and he got 4k, no unbreakable even (which requires zero skill).
Tell me, how to counter gen times?
Let me put it this way to you survivors: terrible survivors (could even be first game, did not see ranks) got killed by literally thousand of hours killer, versus gen times. What makes a game imbalanced and survivor sided?

Not from today, but as you can see, quite recent.
Anyway:
Regarding Survivor Nerfs, I never said there were not justified. Insta-Heals and God Loops (as examples) where things that need to go. But it is simply wrong to forget those things. IMO all Nerfs happening are justified (except for Balanced Landing, but I am biased on that one and the Maps where it was strong are still horrible for Killer, so the Nerf did not do that much).
This picture proves nothing, I don't even know if it's your ID. Stream some high level gameplay is the best way to prove yourself.
I disagree, survivor nerfs were things that should never been in the game to begin with. Kill nerfs? Yeah..............

There is a little difference:
Gen done in 17 seconds does not mean that the game is over or the Killer lost (as we have seen in the video provided, but this obviously never matters for this Forum).
Survivors being dead in 2 1/2 minutes means that the game is over and the Survivors lost.
Or are you saying that those are the same? 1 Gen done and 4 Survivors dead?
You are missing the point like a typical survivor.
I am saying gen speeds are not counterable and require zero skill. For killer to "end the game fast" he needs to be skillful, like the guy in the video who has thousand of hours in the game. Because killers have deep learning curve and not just hold M1 and "loop".
Got me now?
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Rank 1 Killer here and I think Gen Speed is fine.
Harder Skill Checks (which is your only "idea" you bring up) wont matter, those would only be a problem for low Rank Survivors, but not for High Ranks, where Killers actually might have a hard time.
And yeah, lets forget all the Nerfs Survivors have gotten...
Rank 1 killer sure. But anyways:
What "nerfs" survivors had? Things that should never of been in the game in the first place like: insta-heal, insta-blind, infinite loops, old DS, old BT, etc. etc. what did I forget?!

It has nothing to do with being a survivor main, there petulant children (or adults who act childish) on both sides.
@ZtarShot Killers get mad because they don’t know how to counter them, even though it’s simple:
1) DS - slug, go for rescuer
2) BT - don’t camp, go for rescuer
3) Unbreakable - don’t slug
4) Adrenaline - run NOED, kill survivors before all gens are completed
DS slug, unbreakable don't slug... Okay.. If you played any killer you would know one survivor uses them both.
If you also played killer you would know when you hit the unhooker, the unhooke gets aim-priority and so therefor he gets hit (game is survivor sided what can we do?).
Lots of survivors gameplay is uncounterable, give me one killer gameplay that can not be countered?
Edit: kill all survivors before all gens are complete. Good luck doing that against a non-potato team. Play some killer maybe?

I mean, the way I see it gamers play killers and casuals play survivors. Gamers want challenging task and characters with steep learning curve and depth that takes too much effort and time to master, casuals just want to hold M1 and "loop" the killer for 40-60 seconds and letting their crutch perks play for them.
So who would want the game balanced, the gamers or the casuals?

I'm also thinking about his "Proving Leatherface is underrated" series when I say this because I don't feel like it proves much if anything, but that's another discussion
His "proving Leatherface is underrated" is the same as "proving Wraith is underrated", just him trying to be controversial to stroke his own ego some more.

The issue is that people feel like if you use NOED and end up with only getting kills after it activates, then you are being rewarded for not doing that well at the game and the survivors are not being rewarded for doing well at the game.
I can see using NOED if you are new, but after that, in its current state, it feels like a crutch.
Small changes to it would make it feel less like a cheap way to turn a loss into a win. I've seen many suggestions over the years, here are my favorite:
- The exposed status only lasts for 60 secs.
- The totem is lit the entire match.
- A totem counter is added to the UI for all players.
I'm sure there will be posts imminently saying, "Well, you can't nerf NOED without nerfing Adrenaline." I honestly don't care if they nerf Adrenaline. They can if they want. I don't like perks that are situational and encourage not healing anyway.
Terrible suggestions.
Might as well cancel the perk.
It's fine as is, don't gen rush and even then it has many counters.
