You might as well uninstall, it's not FNAF.

This is BHVR we're talking about. An issue like this might be fixed tomorrow. Or it might be fixed next week. Or it might be fixed in three years when it finally hits the point that it is causing the game immense issues and causing people to abandon the game on mass and it FINALLY forces them to actually figure out what the hell is wrong with their game.
BHVRs word that they're fixing something is about as reliable as a Blendette swearing they're not just going to hide all game.
You're right and I'm already anticipating large exits from the community by end of next year. The current QoL and poor optimization, inconsistent and incomplete chapter releases with no substantial/dedicated play testing (with impact) coupled with their trending politics and incentives for corporate gain will be their demise. Wallet famine speaks volumes to companies like BHVR.

I obviously can't speak for every killer but for myself and most other killers, I think that video perfectly shows what our problem with this is...
If I didn't get the hit, that's fair. I am accepting that. If it's close and the game edges it out slightly to the survivor, so be it I suppose.
What is irking me though is that the game ACTS like I hit the survivor (the survivor screams and you can clearly hear the "I hit you" squishy noise). Killer is stressful enough at times against good survivors and now I can't trust my eyes and ears as the game flips a coin to determine who has the "right" view.
Thats a valid superficial issue and it will be resolved. Lol pun.

The current validation is ideal. What we had previously was complete horsewash. Here's an example of validation before the recent ish update:

Fast Track and Stake Out, with the Toolbox's brown addon Instructions. That add on never really had a place until now. Using the largest capacity toolbox you can make, use it to avoid spending fastrack tokens and maintain the big push mid to late game.
Gear is a good addon for that build too, really easy to spend the gear early or later. I'd recommend conserving some toolbox for later after the gear is spent
-
I would take Hellraiser any time. Hope to never see FNAF enter the trials.

Today was probably my roughest day as killer. I wanted to ask for some tips on how to improve as Nemesis since I just cannot seem to get a grip on how to succeed with this killer. I know I need to work on tentacle aim and make better use of my perks but I got very frustrated from these games, so I'm looking for some advice on how to improve. It seems a lot of what I'm lacking comes from being good at M1 Kilers - I learned Killer entirely on Pyramid Head so there's a lot I'm really not used to. I feel so slow in everything I do when trying to down people quickly as Nemesis, so sorry for the very sloppy and poor quality of play.
First game was with STBFL/Pop/BBQ/Discordance
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXQKqbMXaYY
Second game was with STBFL/Pop/BBQ/Corrupt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb1u4WixsMU
I am convinced I would have killed nobody in the second game if they didn't let that girl die. Even with the huge amount of momentum, I couldn't achieve anything further.
Nemesis tip #1 Always proxy camp and use priority tunneling.
#2 Don't use obsession perks, don't use aura reading either; use gen hatred perks like Oppression and Overcharge. Eruption works well with these two.
#3 Reduce your TR somehow someway. Monitor & Abuse is excellent, but so is the green addon that removes TR for 15 seconds
#4 Maintain Line of Sight at all times on the target, even behind walls.
#5 When at the window vaults, use strafing instead of aiming in order to land the tentacle
#6 Review tip #1 again and impress it upon yourself
#7 After reviewing tip #1 for a third time, remember that your tentacle can reach over survivors attempting to protect the unhook
#8 If you struggle to get your tentacle powered up, use the add ons for zombie destruction. Like Michael Myers, you want to get out of Tier 1 ASAP. These perks are training wheels because...
#9 Zombie Movement Speed, every game, every time. Eye ball & intestines are the default/budget choice, but the depleted ink ribbon and eye ball are the recommended options every game, every time.
#10 Review tip #1 ten more times and remember that you are the Relentless Pursuer. No other killer can apply this kind of top tier tunnel pressure like you, not even Nurse.
-
Not joking, if the devs put FNAF in this game, I am out and I would suspect a mass exodus by long time fans of the DBD series.

They'll open up the door, but they won't fix the corner by the shack.

It prolongs unwanted games. Remove it and return the old mechanic.
No way. I'm not going back to space bar spam. The current 2nd hook mechanic is fine, if you don't want to play, then you shouldn't have queued in the first place.

They still are skipping objectives to win the game.
Moris can't even do that anymore.
lol comparing apples to motor oil
Moris have always been intended to enhance camping to completion. It skips hooks, so why shouldn't the key skip objectives?
Moris are boss on PH tho

Honestly how can i take the dev seriously when they put all their effort into fixing PH ass. They really like to be a meme at this point its kinda sad
While there are alot more relevant QOL changes desired, this was a far better use of time over releasing more Nea skins.

People were asking for it, it was fixed. That's cause for celebration, IMO, even if the change is minor.
And "all their effort"? Really?
Yes celebrate, and yes all their effort is typically expended for these kinds of updates BUT ESPECIALLY for pyramid butt. That was certainly all-hands-on-deck call to arms across the board. The devs, marketing, maybe even their accountants were all on board for this. I would suspect so.

@MeltingPenguins said:
This is a genuine question, cause I see people say on a regular base they'll automatically tunnel someone with a key out of the game.
And i'm sitting here wondering -why-
cause, people, you are giving the survivors an advantage:
- If they are a swf, not only have you now given them a place to store the key, you also gave them the means to navigate the other players of the swf to the key and the hatch once it spawns. which now is a gen earlier.
- even if they are not a swf you have now given them the hatch a gen early as well as a definite place to pick up the key.
It'd be better, tactically, to play without any tunneling and corral the survivors away from the hatch.
You have not played killer much have you?
The killer sets the tone of the trial. If the killer decides apply all pressure on the key bearer, it's a very interesting dynamic. I've been that killer and I've been a survivor where someone else brought a key. It's thrilling if you understand the nuanced play being engaged.
It's alot more interesting than Don't Touch My Basement Chest but it's less appealing to gen rushers who believe victory can only be acquired by escaping the trial ASAP.
1. Irrelevant to a key focused killer.
2. Also irrelevant to a key focused killer.
A killer may not be committed to interacting with every survivor if there is a key in play. That means most of the fun is absent for those survivors who don't fall in line with the tone of the given trial. I guarantee you, if that key bearer is killed, and the killer catches you holding that key, you have now become the target at play.
It's really not a bad thing or un-fun by any means...unless you only care about rushing g gens.

I'm sorry, but you seem to have greatly misunderstood what I meant. That may be my fault, I struggle to express myself sometimes.
The colour thing was referring to the only thing in Among Us that distinguishes players from one another is their colour and hat. There is no personality, no emotion, no details, nothing. That isn't remotely like how DbD uses its Auras, which are the colours you refer to. Those aren't palette swaps. Smash Bros. uses palette swaps. There are palette swaps in the store, sure, but those aren't exactly your only choice, are they?
It makes the most sense for the "Crewmate" to be a survivor, yes, but they would greatly stand out. There's not a single given name for any crewmate. They don't even look remotely human. Dress 'em up in a spacesuit and adding a really stupid hat would just be, well, stupid.
Is insight into the source material that important? I don't know jack about the majority of the licenses already in the game. They're still cool inclusions, and from what I can gather, their add-ons have lots of cool easter eggs and callbacks to their media. What can you possibly reference within Among Us? Henry Stickmin? Not much to go off of, is it now?
How is FNaF unimaginative? It plays on the uncanny valley effect. Never been done before, hardly. But unimaginative?
Irrational excuse? The Entity is known to take the scum of the earth. Mass murderers, deeply corrupted minds, literal beasts. How does Springtrap not fall under that? And how does a character that goes "haha tongue/gun/knife go brrr" and nothing more fit? There is no given reason behind why the Impostors do what they do. The fact alone that you need to think up a fanfiction to even determine that makes them a much harder fit lore-wise.
As for the carbon copy thing, you wildly, and I mean wildly misinterpreted what I meant with that. I was just arguing that the main 4 FNaF characters haven't got much going for them personality-wise. Therefore, personality-wise, they are virtually carbon copies.
"There is no personality, no emotion, no details, nothing. "
You are an uncouth philistine to suggest that this. By disregarding the banana for a hat, I can easily surmise your souless nature.
May God save you and farewell.

Nemesis is S tier, easy to maintain rank 2 with him
Billy is always A tier
Spirit shouldn't be ranked since she's guess work
Demogorgons a balanced killer, he should be below PH

I mean... Ghostfase is a least a realistic human, and the reason was largely copyright and they could only use the mask.
The Impostors/Crewmates are 2D cartoonish characters that are extremely far from looking realistic
Highly subjective statement regarding the crewmates.

I really love this game and I just want to have some fun.
When I play Killer from rank 15-10 I am mostly unchallenged, sometimes there are exciting games but mostly I get 4k games without even trying ...
sooner or later you get into the range of rank 10 and above, from then on I have no chance at all, I can manage a maximum of one or two hooks, and the rest of the game I am led by the nose with no chance at all, what is going on ?
gens are popping left and right, every hunt is a loop fest where everyone I am hunting seems to know where the next pallet is and how to connect them without me even coming close, if I come close DH, if I somehow manage to FINALLY get ONE person down, as soon as I pick them up: perfect flashlights/sabotage/body blocking running around in circles, 360s without me even knowing where and how they disappeared!
mindgames ? they know everything i do even before i know it
what the hell... how can I get into this kind of skill level matches?
I feel like joining an amateur sports club and constantly having matches against the world champions in their peak, how am I supposed to become better, if I have NO chance at all?
Proxy camp and prioritize tunneling. By not doing these things, you are giving the survivors opportunity to do stuff to you and the killer becomes less of a threat and more of an obstructive catalyst.
Regarding dead hard, never normally use a lunge. Lunging (and dead hard) is for low to mid rank play and rare scenarios around a blind corner. Always try to close the distance necessary to perform a basic attack. The cool down from a basic attack is slightly faster than a lunge and you will likely bait out the dead hard. Be prepared to delay the attack, there's a rare few survivors who can properly deal with this. Basic attacks are also superior than lunges against 360s; if a survivor is bringing dead hard, good chance they'll spin themselves dizzy avoiding your attacks.
Learn to face away from your opponents during a chase. This can be helpful at TL walls. Inversely, make sure to face the corner the survivor is using before doubling back. Most survivors are watching your red glare and they will make decisions based on it's presence or absence. It can be very difficult to determine what a killer is doing if they can't see your red glare.

After 2 months of only playing killer, I decided to give solo q a try again. Ofc, I am rank 20 because of reseting.
Here are my matches:
First game my teammates hide in corners while I have kindred and they can clearly see someone is being chased on the other side of the map.
Second game same story.
Third game I have a 3 man swf with no mither, bodyblocking me, sand bagging me, m1 spamming me on hook, wasting their flashlights on my face while I was on hook and then make fun of me in eg chat.
Fourth game a David with No Mither gets tunneled out while we had an afk Dwight and a crouchig Ace.
Fifth game I do 4 gens while my team gets tunneled by a GF while swarming him. And I mean tunneling, because at some point I intentionally positioned myself (while injured) so I trade hooks, but he insisted to ignore my body blocking just to go for the unhooked guy.
Sixth game I played Deathslinger and got a 3k.
Now my question is: How can I play survivor if I'm rank 20, can't rank up because I never have ANYONE repairing anything and killers camping and tunneling while my team mates feed, and I don't have friends to swf with?
1st: normal solo queue experience
2nd: same as above
3rd: still pretty typical stuff not sure I see an issue here yet
4th: crouching ace hidden dwight was a really good pun to put here, but I'm still seeing some pretty typical behavior for solo queue
5th: yea this is also normal, sometimes you'll fail at protecting your unhooks
6th: played as a deathslinger or against? Either way killer queue is a far superior solo queue experience
Pipping: you can easily pip on death. You can also pip with a hatch escape. It's not easy, but it's very possible to double pip on death.
Not sure I found any issues with what you described, you might want to try another video game

What does Among Us have to offer in comparison to FNaF? A complete and utter lack of surrounding canon, versus a universe with notoriously convoluted lore. A lack of actual characters, only colours, and a vague suggestion of affiliation, versus a whole myriad of admittedly carbon-copies personality-wise, but at least 2 actual villains, to my knowledge.
FNaF may also have long lost its scary factor, but Among Us never intended to have one to begin with.
Which is the better game(s) aside, FNaF would fit DbD infinitely better than Among Us ever will.
Colors: dbd used to heavily rely on for filters for maps, and at one seeming point, color palates for characters were very helpful and interesting. Its classically intuitive for the crewmate to fit in as a survivor; they can add some fun skins as alts such as a detailed NASA outfit (gold outfit with a shiny silver visor version for auric cells, plain white for iridescent shards) or simply a yellow crewmate with a banana peel for a hat
Lore: like dbd, among us has ambiguous lore that fits into the common dbd narrative; that requires some imagination on the players part...unlike fnaf and it's unimaginative takeaway from Chuck E Cheese or even Disney world animatronics from the 90s. Simply put, among us CAN fit in plain and nicely whereas FNAF would require alot more extensive insight that I feel many dbd players could not frame without effort or an irrational excuse
Carbon copies: have you forgotten how many palate swaps are found in this game? Not only do we have the standard Hag, but we have nearly every color of the alphabet Hag found on the store
Sorry but not sorry, you're mistaken and Among Us will always be the superior and sensible choice over FNAF.

It's clearly Jason. No consequence is too great because I'm not wrong.

Nancy crossed her arms
Idk u come up with stuff

Dead hard is stupidly easy to play around and it's inferior to any other exhaust perk. It has its niche and I rarely see it used as a Rank 2 Killer. There is no need to nerf something that's already weak.

1) She didn't get shadow nerfed, it's a bug.
2) I was a Spirit main for over 2 years, and I can tell you that she is fundamentally broken, the skill of the survivor she is chasing does not matter. As survivor you have to guess what she's doing and hope she doesn't correct her mistake by the time her power ends.
You're hired for QA.

Again. How does she take 0 skill to play outside of fake phasing?
Outside of standard M1 killer play, there is no additional skill involved. Zero, zilch, nada, nothing needs to be added as the spirit simply enhances the standard play.
It might take some skill as a survivor to use a flashlight and knockout the phase ghost, but everything else involved is literal guess work. No brain required. How do you not understand what I'm saying? It's very simple and a very sore subject for those adamant enough to defend a brain-dead style of play.
Nothing about spirit is engrossing or fun. As a survivor, 99% of the fun comes from direct interaction with the killer and the spirit masks that and creates only guesswork on both sides.
It's okay if people personally find that kind of brain dead activity to be entertaining, but to suggest any skill is involved is a gross inaccuracy.

She has to use sound to track, but I guess using your ears instead of your eyes means no effort. Meanwhile survivors want every little detail on what a killer is doing to counter them which really isn't skill in my book.
No, she requires 0 skill to play. She is simply an enhanced M1 killer and can create misconception simply by standing.

Here's my question. You say she lacks consistent counterplay, but why does it make her problematic when she's changing her tactic to outplay survivors who have changed their tactics to out play her?
Outplay involves skill. Spirit involves 0 skill. You can't outplay if there's no skill.
