  • I'll give my answer - survivors don't use them because killer mains (the toxic ones, not all of them) tend to go full camp/tunnel mode during double BP and bring mori's, black wards etc. With the sole purpose of cucking people's BPS.

  • It's something I really don't understand.

Because the majority want ranked and unranked queues so SWF can be taken out of ranked. Therefore, killers will avoid unranked all together and cuck SWFs. Obviously, it would be unwise for BHVR to piss off their majority audience, so that will never happen.

Getting 3 kills is "punishment". Entitled killer mains over here and their 4k entitlement. I'll just bring one of my 800+ keys. See how punished you feel then.

Do you realize how ridiculous and biased you sound right now?

Biased in what way? Calling a 3k, a victory, punishment, is saying you're entitled to the 4k. You're ONLY entitled to what you get when you get it. Guess that's "biased". I call it logic.

  • The obsession perks have no downside. DS if you have it active you can't crawl at all. MoM you keep the way it's right now but only the obsession can use it.

DS is one time use and time limited. You'll be slugged. Or you may never use it and waste a perk slot entirely.

MoM is already getting nerfed. Also one time use.

OoO the killer can see you, and tunnel you.

    "No downside"

Stop trying to get things nerfed that don't need to be nerfed.

  • I don't recommend a headset. Headsets are trash. Get a good pair of headphones and a mic.

Sennheiser, Audiotechnica, Beyerdynamic, whatever. NEVER Beats by Dre.

A good idea for this is to rat out your 'friend' to end the game. If you spot them straight camping hatch then try get killer's attention but not run and use the "come here" emote and lead them to the other survivor. Be careful when doing this though, they may be holding a key and attempting to act as a beacon for you to come over, and in some cases may be trying to be a savior, waiting for you to move away from the 3 gen to catch your attention.

That's literally bannable. It's called working with the killer and sandbagging. Before you say "no it's not" - yes, it is. The one ban ANGRYPUG has on record was for literally screwing over the other survivors by helping the killer.

I could say that you could unlock most characters through Iridescent Shards but considering how pathetically few shards you actually get from playing, its an unrealistic option.

I mean, I got nearly 7000 shards yesterday alone. Granted I played for like 8 hours in a bloodpoint binge, but still.

  • @Orion said:

Why, exactly, do you think that a single survivor should have the upper hand in a 1v1 after the killer played well and killed everyone else?

Nobody said anything about an "upper hand". It's called a fair chance - and for the most part it is. Except when the doors spawn on the same wall. They should ALWAYS be opposite of each other.

So because the other three people are bad, the Killer should be the one punished for it?

Basically, the killer can grab a healthy survivor from a window?

    No.

You literally didn't read what he said, did you?

It's just a different grab animation for injured vs healthy survivors. Good lord.

If I use or see BPS I will make sure to get a lot if points and I will do that by tryharding. Nothing is more boring than farming, I will never farm no matter what. I can remember myself farming 2-3 since 2016, in all 2-3 times it was a combination of double bp event + 5 bps dropped. But even if this would happen nowadays, I wouldn't farm.

I play this game for fun and not to collect numbers.

People like you are why killers get bullied. Nobody is talking about farming. You get far more points for playing normally, getting more hooks on everyone etc. Regardless of what a dev or you say. Most survivors who want the bloodpoints don't even care about surviving. They just want to get as much points as possible - but you killer mains and your ever girthy egos have to ######### all over it.

Honestly, this is why I don't waste bloodpoints offerings. I have nearly 1000 party streamers spread across my survivors and almost 400 spread over my killers, and I'll only ever use them if I SWF, which isn't often.

  • I'll go ahead and say what we're all thinking.

    Spoiler: Joke Thread.

  • Not directly - but usually it's a pretty big indicator.

Disconnects happened. Legion came out. Disconnection happened 10x more. Yep, totally not the most likely reason.

You cannot educate someone who does not want to be educated.

I don't need to be educated. I come from a standpoint of evidence and general consensus. People disconnect from Legion games because it's annoying. When something is annoying, it is not fun. It's not something that can be argued. It's demonstrable fact. Run along now.

Yes in this case. The laws of logic and reasoning don't cease to apply just because you want them to. Reality doesn't shift in response to human opinion.

No, legit, not in this case. When a general consensus is in agreement on a particular thing, it becomes a factual problem. Stop, you're not going to win this one.

Argumentum ad populum is a fallacy. Opinions, by definition, cannot be objective, and they certainly don't become truth if enough people have them.

Not in this case, sir. The community has spoken.

Just because you can't handle Spirit doesn't mean she should be nerfed

I mean, largely I think spirit is fine. Except for prayer beads. That's bullshit.

But your statement..let me show you how stupid that sounds:

"Just because killers couldn't handle infinites does mean they should be nerfed" (as the other guy said, and they were nerfed)

"Just because killers couldn't handle pallet loops doesn't mean they should be nerfed" (they are getting nerfed)

"Just because killers couldn't handle self care, exhaustion perks etc etc etc doesn't mean they should be nerfed"

Those all sound equally as stupid as your original statement. Killers cry for nerfs more than anyone; and when things get nerfed, they want it nerfed even more.

No...not it's not. It walks on all fours. Have you watched season 2? They are literally like..demon dogs. Dogs I would argue are closer to human than those things.

  • It's double bp. Toxic killers will do this just to ######### on your corn flakes as opposed to playing normal.

Wait - it's only toxic if survivors do things to piss killers off. I forgot.

I don't think theres gonna be a ST crossover, but I will say that Demogorgon is more humanoid than most monsters. Design-wise it doesn't cause problems because it's still a humanoid model

Saying a Demogorgon is humanoid is like saying a dog is humanoid.

"Annoying to go against" is also purely opinion, but you had no problem expressing it as an absolute truth.

Opinion becomes truth when it's evident that the majority feels the same way.

  • Won't happen. BHVR specifically stated that killers would always be of the "humanoid" variety. Which is good, cause if it wasn't it would break the core fundamentals of how the game works.

^ And you know, how many legion players have stopped playing? How is it known that it was legion specifically causing the dcs? Just because there was a correlation does not mean it was causation. I just really wanna see the full statistical report.

"Just because there was a correlation does not mean it was causation."

Actually, usually, that's exactly what it means.

  • @rch614 said:

People will DC for any reason. This just proves Legion wasn't the real issue in causing people to just DC on a killer they don't like. I feel like the streamers glorifying it did. And now that mentality is cemented along with no punishment.

It doesn't prove anything of the sort. People DC from Legion because Legion is annoying. Simple as that. Not in a "oh, it's too hard" way. Just plain annoying. It's not fun in the least, and the majority of the community will most likely back me up on that (majority meaning - not the vocal minority on this forum).

It's an awful design. It's the equivalent of having a small child poke you with a pointy stick constantly while you try to do something you otherwise enjoy.

This is why people DC, they DC then killers get nerfed so they're easier to play against, then they won't DC. Shouldn't nerf killers based on disconnects :\

If that were even remotely accurate, Nurse wouldn't be where she is right now, and Huntress hitboxes wouldn't be the size of Cowboys Stadium.

  • The only one's still using SWF as an excuse are the ones who can't adapt. Jesus, even ANGRYPUG shits all over SWFs. Stop acting like every SWF is this coordinated god tier team. 90% of them are just shootin' the ######### with their friends. Your entire narrative is exaggerated. Yes, there are god tier SWF teams. They ######### all over killers. There's also god tier killers shitting all over ANY and EVERY team.

How about once you're sick, eventually, you're forced to cleanse. Like, if you don't cleanse within say..60 seconds, you go into dying state?

  • @GrootDude said:

@Paladin_Goo how exactly would that work? How would you earn tokens?

Objectives? Altruism? Boldness? There's any number of things. Bottom line is it would be earned, not rewarded even to someone who urban'd in a corner all game.

Also @weirdkid5, it will only become baseless when nerf's happen and people like him don't still demand things get nerfed more. It is absolutely not baseless in any sense of the word. It's exactly what I said would happen a year ago on the steam forums. "DS will eventually get nerfed, and a year later people will want it nerfed more cause survivors adapted".

  • @weirdkid5 said:

Try staying on topic instead of strawmanning ######### that wasn't even brought up bro.

I agree DS is fine now.

BT doesn't always need a camper, you could be LEAVING the hook and someone who was already there rushes a save before you can walk away. That's not the Killers fault.

    Deliverance is fine.

    MoM nerf is fine.

Adrenaline could still probably use a nerf. By your logic, they don't deserve the Survivor if the gates are powered, yes? Apply that same logic to a Survivor, if you get hooked, you don't deserve to escape at all.

Have that same energy for both sides, otherwise you're just biased.

I've been vocal that adrenaline should be a token based perk. It should be something that's earned, but don't take functionality away from it.

And stop calling it a strawman - that argument is proven null and void by threads like this. People asked for DS to be nerfed, it was. Borrowed time, it was. It just doesn't stop. When it stops, I'll stop throwing that hypothetical future out there.

  • As killer, pretty fun at rank 9. As survivor, meh. Killers intentionally playing blackwards and mori's to screw people over on double bp. Mind you - I don't expect anyone to farm, but what's going on today is far from playing normal, and is also miles from being the best way to get blood points. A lot of camping on first hook sort of things going on. It's gotten to the point where every time a mori or blackward is played today, someone alt-f4's during loading and the match gets canceled. Can't really blame them either, to be honest. It's kind of a dirtbag thing to do to be honest.

  • This is just another "nerf everything survivors have until they have nothing". Soon you'll be demanding pallets and windows get removed completely.

  • cough only survivor perks mentioned cough

DS was nerfed. It's fine. It's also one time use and counter tunneling. Stop tunneling.

Borrowed was nerfed. It's fine. Counter camping. Stop camping.

Deliverance is ONE TIME USE, and leaves them broken for a while. Just stop.

    Mettle is GETTING nerfed.

Adrenaline, eh, it's an end game perk. It doesn't effect the mid game. If the game reaches end game, you don't necessarily deserve to get them.

Living until the last gen is done is earning it though.

Not really. You could urban evade in a corner all game, do nothing, and adrenaline will still proc.

this is sound until it gets to the end game and people effectively escape for free after being unhooked

it's the same issue mettle has but to a lesser degree

i mostly don't mind DS but it could do with some tweaking to make it less punishing to killers who aren't actively tunneling

"This is sound until it gets to the end game and killers effectively get free kills even if they were potato all game" - Similar statement for noed.

  • Let's add another level of potential toxicity to an already toxic community. No offense, but the community at large is not even close to mature enough to handle something like that gracefully.

  • @Condorloco_26 said:

Legitimately, though. It's one of the biggest problems with rank reset. You're either a solo with boosted team mates who urban evade everywhere, or you're a team of god tier survivors bullying a baby killer.

  • @George_Soros said:

It’s also in place to stop people finishing the dlc characters hour 1.

That's ridiculous. That'd be like your bank putting a cap of $10,000 on your balance so you can't buy a new car the day it comes out.

If people have the blood points to spend, they should be able to do it how they want to. Dictating it is stupid.

I've had games where I'm the sole "runner" and have used Adrenaline without touching a generator.

You don't need to contribute to the objective at all for Adrenaline to proc.

You can also fail at your objective now and still have Adrenaline proc due to The Hatch being closed.

NOED also procs in this scenario, rewarding the killer for completing his objective, yet it's still complained about in this scenario as well.

I'd make a strong argument that running the killer for all 5 gens is as important as doing the actual gens. It absolutely contributes to the objective.

  • https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/580/J8R1N4FI9IY8.jpg I don't know how she got up there all i know is that i couldn't hit her until she decided to come down.

Usually when that happens, it's lag, and they might be stuck. I've actually had that happen before, when I jump out of the crane, and my balance landing procs, and then I rubberband and end up stuck in the claw.

  • @SlickSal said:

@Paladin_Goo who said I was a killer main? I just argue what I think is fair. Survivors are already powerful without second chance perks. And like @Condorloco said you’re using the same straw man argument for that second paragraph.

"A straw man is a form of argument and an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not presented by that opponent."

Refuting an argument not presented? Says the guy doing exactly what I said he's doing - trying to nerf anything good survivors have into the ground. Not even that I consider DS that good, but still, something people like, and you want it gone or made absolutely useless because it doesn't agree with your delicate killer ego. Then what? A new meta will come out, survivors will adapt, and you'll demand that be nerfed too. When will it end?

No, it's not a straw man argument. But nice try. You can be hypothetical, and exaggerating without creating a straw man.

  • It's true, isn't it? Everyone literally does have their own definition. Issue is, there is only one correct definition, and it's not up to interpretation nor is it up for debate or opinion.

To be toxic is to generally just be an #########. To be arrogant, to be egotistical, and generally try to piss people off somehow. To be toxic is to talk ######### after games and abuse exploits in game (like infinite mend Legion etc). Cheating, while wrong, and of course cheating and bannable, is ABSOLUTELY toxic.

What ISN'T toxic is using ANY in game item or perk. Whether that be flashlights for blinding killers, or DS to get off their shoulder. I would even argue that taunting can't be considered toxic. Lots of games, real sports and video games alike, have some form of taunting in them. Just because you don't like something, doesn't make it toxic.

  • @SlickSal said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/524241#Comment_524241

@Paladin_Goo but the killer should be the power role in the game. One could argue that survivors aren’t supposed to have second chance perks in the first place. As a matter of fact, survivors could honestly have no second chance perks and still do extremely well. Killers rely on powerful perks since there is only one killer vs 4 well equipped survivors. Killer perks SHOULD be powerful. Survivor perks should be strong, but not entirely game changing, but that’s a whole other discussion so I’ll leave it at that.

The killer should be the power role, yes, but that isn't an excuse to nerf everything survivor related into the ground. No, you can not, under any circumstance argue that survivors shouldn't have second chance perks. It's a video game. It's meant to be fun, FOR EVERYONE, not just killers.

If killer mains like you had it your way, survivors would spawn already on hooks. Easy games, easy life. Some killer mains need to get their heads out of their asses - survivor perks have been nerfed into the ground in the last year while killers have had more buffs than nerfs. Which is good - don't get me wrong, but now you're at a point where you're just nitpicking and being entitled about what you're asking for in terms of nerfing survivor things. Get better, exercise a little skill-building. Don't continuously try to get anything good survivors have nerfed into the ground. It's at a point where "entitled killer main" is becoming a thing. Which I never thought would happen.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/68501/a-slight-nerf-to-decisive-to-actually-make-it-an-anti-tunneling-perk

DS is too strong right now, because the game is about time for killers.

Same goes for not being able to hit unhooked survivors right after unhook or that you can't grab off unhookers mid animation anymore. (due to bugs/latency etc.)

These 3 things make survivors just go for the hook, even if it's dangerous, if you're not a 1 hit killer, because the risk is too low to actually care.

    Nerfing DS won't fix #########.

The 2 methods for safe unhooking above should be removed and then DS can stay as it is.

I grab unhookers mid animation all the time. Literally did it a few minutes ago. What are you on about?

Brush up on your facts, ASAP

Also, it is NOT under any circumstance too strong, unless you tunnel off hook. There's other survivors you could go after. You know, the one who just unhooked them, or the one doing the gen (if we're talking about time here). It is not too strong. Period.

  • @SlickSal said:

@Paladin_Goo ds always has been and will continue to be a powerful perk. The only way it would be horrible is if they changed the effect it had entirely or make it have almost impossible to reach prerequisites.

There is nothing wrong with powerful perks, though. That's the thing. Killers have them as well.

  • @SlickSal said:

    @Paladin_Goo that’s a bit of a stretch my man

Is it, though? DS was nerfed, it was generally accepted. Now people want it nerfed more. If it gets nerfed any more, it may as well not exist. Soon, Vigil will annoy killers somehow and they'll want it nerfed. Before long, they'll ask the devs to cut off survivors' legs, so they can't move, cause RUNNING OP.

  • I agree with this. At least up it to like 10 mil or something. 1 mil is peanuts.

  • The only potential issue from a survivor standpoint that I see with Ghostface is you'll be looking at him, directly, center of screen, facing him, and he'll still get his stalk, which seems kind of funky.

  • At this rate, soon people like this will be demanding Vigil get nerfed.😂

  • Only if all other survivors are invisible when the killer is carrying a survivor on their shoulder.

I know what you're thinking - that sounds beyond stupid. Yes, it is. Think about that.

  • It gets nerfed into the ground, and you want more. Mother of god, at this point, just get better, or learn to slug.

Disclaimer: I don't use DS. I don't like perks that may never be used in my setup.
