I think the struggle grabs should come back. I think struggle grabs should only trigger when you grab a HEALTHY survivor trying to vault. It was in the early days of DBD.
Struggle Grabs trigger on HEALTHY survivors.
Fast grabs trigger on INJURED survivors.

What exactly is a struggle grab and its difference with a fast grab?
Back in the day when you were grabbed trying to vault or something, the survivor would be trying to hold on but eventually get snatched off. These animations come from the very very early DBD days.

It's just a different grab animation for injured vs healthy survivors. Good lord.

Maybe try can try to find a way to combine them? Have the struggle grab animation but just slightly sped up.

No, but the word "basically" softens his 100% accurate point. The original post does indeed suggest that it should be possible to grab healthy survivors at vaults. And he was expressing rightful concern.

Not..really. No, just no. You can already grab slow and medium vaulting survivors when they vault, whether they are injured or not. I don't see the issue. It's literally just a different animation if you go back and watch old DBD videos, specifically beta gameplay.
You can grab healthy vaulting survivors? That's news to me.
Why did the grab animation get changed? The old one looks so much better.
I swear I've done it before. Slow vaults and medium vaults. On both pallets and windows.
@Dehitay @Paladin_Goo I don't know about the very early days of DbD. I've been playing since 2017 and even back then, you could not grab healthy survivors who vaulted pallets or windows, as you can't today.
I could be remembering it wrong, then. In which case, that's my bed.
Even if this wasn't a thing, it still sounds really cool. Grabbing someone jumping through a window and watching them break free and continue the chase would look a lot cooler than just whacking them with your weapon.
If you're close enough you should just straight grab them still 🤷
But u can't grab a healthy survivor during vaulting. It's a buff and not just an animation. Unless he wants the old struggle grab animation used for injured survivor grabbing
They must have removed that animation because it was too long and might have caused frame drops
And for those who don't understand, you can grab healthy survivors if you time it right, I've done it multiple times, stop attacking people because you don't understand something
You can always execute grabs, it just seems healthy survivors executing a fast vault have an insanely strict window to grab.

You CANNOT grab a healthy survivor during a vault, whether of a window or of a pallet. You can only grab healthy survivors who are working on gens, opening an exit gate, unhooking another survivor, or cleansing a totem.
I'm pretty sure they tried enabling this in a previous PTB but eventually removed it because it was too strong.
