Ahh, the ol' 'I'm fine, so who cares about anyone else?' comments.
Since you 2 are fine, clearly no fixing needs be done. People just need to get on your level. Damn!
Stop all discussion on balance! These two people are fine playing the game! 20/10! Perfectly fine for these two people! Absolutely no one else matters!
I mean, this is the balance every PvP game strives for; being fine for these two people. BHVR has done it! Congrats, BHVR!
Yeah it’s a you problem, bud. You can’t chase four survivors at the same time and hook them three times each in six minutes? Git gud.

Guys lets be honest here. To those defending some challenges, I am at Devotion 8 playing only killer almost all the time, I played in all ranks, and I had 4 survivors hooked in the basement at the same time two times in my entire experience. That’s not a challenge, that’s something dictated by things you can’t control.

To have it make more sense, yes that is true it can be mostly difficult to break him on a gen, but I've mostly gotten GFs that don't really hide that much, but if they do I begin revealing him as I run off. Other cases they could be chasing someone else within my LoS on a gen, and I reveal him that way as well.
Yeah that makes much more sense xD
I still think they may be right about his grab potential being slightly higher than intended

Of course I am. Am I not supposed to reveal him while actually doing the objective?
The majority of the generators in this game do not have line of sight on an approaching killer before he is in melee range. Now if we bring our hearing within this, it’s okay to notice a GF is coming to you, but saying you can reveal him all the time while doing gens is just nonsense...

The drawback for Ghostface is being spotted by survivors. Can't use his power if the survivors disable it. He is the only stealth killer in the game that actually has to conceal himself to gain the upper hand from survivors that must rely heavily on perception to beat him. I'm not gonna speak for the community, but when I play against a GF, I'm revealing him nearly every time. The only times I failed is when an experienced Ghost Face player is actually hiding too much of their body for me to reveal them.
So you can easily do gens inside jungle gyms and reveal him through the walls, to not get grabbed. Right?
######### “I’m revealing him every times” does even mean. Are you doing gens or not?
-
... the Husk shouldn’t process anything at all because it’s a husk, not a killer, so it shouldn’t have any perks. Devour Hope should only consider the distance between the hook and the “true” Spirit, as it is, but I absolutely agree the Husk’s TR shouldn’t process TR based perks.

Didn't stalk once. Think people hate his ability to remove his terror radius.
Yes. I have a couple of friends who play survivor a lot and they always speak hate on Ghostface because of that. The main thing (to them) being that GF doesn’t have any drawback while using stealth. One of them is a Pig main so I understand his frustration.
Not siding with dcers or saying GF needs a nerf, but ”Every stealth killer in the game needs to sacrifice something to benefit from stealth, except Ghostface” is actually a pretty valid point.
-
Depends.
Scenario 1: A survivor unhooks another survivor while in a chase, but the hooked survivor is about to end his hook state - I will play it as I normally would. I will hit the unhooked survivor first to prevent him from doing gens. Either I process BT or down him, I’ll probably then ignore him and chase the rescuer.
Scenario 2: A survivor unhooks another survivor I JUST hooked right in front of me, without giving him BT - and that’s what I call farming. In this case I will definitely tunnel the farming guy until he dies because he’s going around ruining the game for his teammates so I don’t see why I shouldn’t ruin his.

Some perks don’t show up UNTIL endgame tho.
Well yeah that’s exactly why I said “if you can count FOUR perks don’t waste time in totems”. If you count less then 4 perks then yes, you should assume the killer has NOED and cleanse everything!
-
As far as my survivor experience goes, from a personal point of view I’d say Huntress because her non-directional lullaby gets into my head and drives me crazy. It truly annoys me, a lot.
From a gameplay perspective, definitely Spirit.
-
Honestly a survivor should keep track of what perks the killer is using, and then realize if the killer could be using NOED or not. If you can count 4 perks and NOED isn’t among them, why should you waste time on totems?
-
Four hits with Feral Frenzy when I have Thana before the first gen pops... it’s not a big deal in terms of advantage, but damn it feels good.
Also one time I managed to get a 4 men down with one chainsaw swing of Leatherface, and I wasn’t camping a hook. It just... happened. My heart was racing.
-
I don’t see how that could benefit anyone.
Agitation basically lets you put people in the basement. That’s its primary purpose and it’s good at that.
Perhaps you could share why do you think Agitation needs a qol buff?

so you are killer main and you say that playing Spirit is easy games and she is such a character to win without skill? interesting, I mean there is no killer main who will tell you something like that
Yes I am. I always have been survivor sided on the Spirit topic because I clearly see the difference in how easier it is to track and hit survivor when I play her. And, unlike Nurse, I never had to do any practice. See the survivor, use phasewalk, guess 50/50, profit.
-
Legion, and to a lesser degree Trapper. Sometimes Freddy or Leatherface when I need a change, and Spirit when I’m tired of competing and I want easy games. I’m gonna stop right there.

Fair enough, but the main reason it's unlikely from my point of view is because killers keep camping and tunneling.
Imagine you are the killer and you hook a Meg. You turn around and see three survivors with BBQ. 5 gens are still to be done. That’s good, you want to look for one of those survivors.
Now imagine you hook that Meg, and during the animation you hear “dling”x3. 2 gens remaining and it’s been 120 seconds from the start of the game, and you don’t see anyone with BBQ. Because this is what happens all the time. Now either you camp Meg to find another survivor and go after him, or you wait til Meg is unhooked and tunnel Meg, or you just go and wander around the map with no clue of where the survivors are.
Even if you do find one without camping/tunneling that poor Meg, you’re going to chase and hook him only when the gates are opened. He will probably never be hooked if he has adrenaline because he will heal and sprint at that point.
So now you tell me I can’t chase and hook 4 people 3 times because I camp and tunnel. That’s a broken sentence. If I camp and tunnel it’s because the game is almost over already.

I have no problem finding multiple purple perks in my blood webs. They don't seem very rare to me.
No it’s really hard to find a purple perk from bw level 1-30. Then it becomes easier because it’s 2 perks per bw and you already have lots of perks/upgraded some greens, but the rarity is there
-
Honestly because people are frustrated and instead of dealing with their problems in real life they turn DbD on to be as much toxic as they can. That’s the only true answer anyone could give you.
-
Those colors mainly indicate how many Bloodpoints the perk will cost and how rare it will be in the bloodweb. It has nothing to do with “how good” is the perk, same for add-ons and same for items. See Alex Toolbox, some yellow flashlight addons (very powerful), some trash pink killer add-ons, some good brown killer add-ons (Amanda and Freddy come to mind).
Ive always seen it being about rarity and cost, not effectiveness.

Worse are the people who just click it for a second then you rush back to your totem, lose precious time while searching for them. Meanwhile the survivor is well hidden and waiting for you to leave, only to do that again.
Sorry in advance, hope you dont play on console :(
That’s a valid strategy imo, it punishes killers who are overly attached to their hexes. I’m telling this as someone who almost exclusively plays killer.
-
As killer, 0%. When they dc I’m happy.
-
I wish they would.
-
Okay I will admit it, at first I thought this post was just some rant by someone who needs to learn the game better. Then I read more carefully to op and his answers and...
I wouldn’t normally support this but op makes a point when he says playing killer got harder in the last months. I don’t know why, I am not going to support or deny any theory, but IT IS TRUE.
I have been a red rank killer, PS4, for two years. Since Stranger Things chapter release, I am getting destroyed like never before. I don’t know why but yeah it does FEEL like gens are going faster, although I don’t think they are.
I mean it’s not the first time I am matched against four men SWF with four DS, four Adrenaline and four instaheals where everyone is the best looper in the world, that was already happening, but I never got bullied so much. Now I don’t know why, just here to say that what op is saying is not his experience only.
-
Toxic as killer:
- Mori spam.
- Hitting hooked survivor multiple times.
- Extreme tunneling (aka when tunneling actually doesn’t provide a benefit).
- Fake friendly attitude, farm and then kill everyone. Imo this is the worse.
Toxic as survivor:
- Flashlight spam.
- Flashlight at every pallet.
- T-bag.
- Head On when it’s not needed.
-
It’s not a bannable offense but imo it should be considered as harassment. The killer is literally taking you hostage until you dc or EGC comes into place. If you are the last survivor and the killer doesn’t close the hatch he can take you hostage for as long as he wants and I really think that possibility shouldn’t exist.
I never do or did that as killer and I see why survivors are bothered with it. Mori should be a one-tap thing like the Keys are.
-
“Toolboxes are useless” that’s where you compromised all of it.
-
Ps4 pro, and a P3 Claudette in the lower level of the game is literally invisible.
-
Blendettes/Spirit.

Except it isn't your "punishment" at all. It's you chickening out of the match like a little baby, just with slightly more dignity than someone who straight up disconnects, and you screw over your entire team in doing so. It's you punishing your team, it's not you accepting punishment at all.
Punishment implies something negative happens, and there is no negative to disconnecting just like there is none for killing yourself on first hook, which is the equivalent to a disconnect, minus the fact it doesn't punish the killer, just the survivors.
I'm really astonished at the amount of people who make excuses for people who disconnect or even people who do this, and it really isn't surprising given this community as a whole is pretty toxic and garbage. There's no shortage of people like that, evidently. It's just a bunch of shitheads who all have the same terrible mentality, and they have 0 consequences so why stop? Why not enforce those ideals on forums lol
Dude what do you want from us? It’s A GAME MECHANIC. Go and convince the devs to remove the option to unhook yourself.
-
No you are not using a loophole to avoid punishment. You are accepting punishment and moving on to the next game. It may be annoying for the survivors but it’s allowed by the game mechanics and shouldn’t be considered a disconnection.

By that justification, WGLF is one of the worst perks in the game, even though it can double the BP you earn in a match.
If you value winning the match, WGLF is useless.
If you value your time, WGLF is one of the best survivor perks in the game.
There's more to perks than just "are they meta or not".
Yes there is. But this is not the place to discuss it: this is the thread of someone asking what to do to place Ace in the Hole INTO THE META, lol.
-
Imo CI encourage survivors to look for Ruin so I’d recommend not to use them together!
Discordance has always been a top tier perk imo, but good survivors won’t fall for it. They’ll call it out. Also, Discordance is better on mobile killers.
Surveillance is probably better for what you’re doing with Plague.
Take also Surge into consideration, and that Ghostface perk that blocks gens when you pick up someone - can’t remember its name for my life.

I use it with plunderers to just farm up items on my survivors without spending BP.
For BP efficiency, it's actually quite useful. Getting out with a Skeleton key with at least a purple add-on is what, 13,000 BP? Not a bad deal imo.
Usually the item you get is pretty useful, too. I won't pass up a green medkit with decent add-ons or a commodious toolbox in a match. Those are useful.
I agree, but that’s not even remotely considered meta. A green medkit with addons is very good sure, but is it worth two perk slots? Because following this reasoning Pharmacy is a good perk, and it’s not...
-
To be meta? It should guarantee 100% an ultra rare addon.
No way people are going to use a perk slot otherwise.

Indeed, but not too much that everyone is like "Oh it's just Edgy teeeensss." I hate it when people do that with Legion.
lol! I would take a sample from his menu music, add some fast drums and voilà!
-
This game would really benefit from something like Operation Health on Rainbow Six Siege - not comparing anything it’s just the first example that comes to mind. A whole season dedicated to balancing, fixing issues, reworking etc.
There’s plenty of content now. After the Archives, it would be a good time to take a break and look at the bigger picture.

I would deeply enjoy unique chase music for the Killers. Though, when you hear it then you will instantly know who the Killer is... though that isn't an excuse to not do it. I also can understand how it would be hard to do on the Dev side... though I'd love to hear Legion's music.
Legion’s should be metal af!

Also, we do not have a contract with BEhavior and we can still play the game regardless. They are not required to give us updates, they do because they love making the game better. Why give us something more when we already get a great game?
Of course. What I am talking about is just how, on a MORAL level, I would respond to my customers if I promised them something and then “failed” to deliver for whatever reason. We are free to quit the game just as my customers are free to look for another editor, but we won’t because the game is amazing and they won’t because I’m an amazing editor. So just like my writers hope I don’t screw up, here we are, hoping BHVR will keep entertaining us.
-
I’ll tell you what I think.
In real life, i edit novels. If a writer send me his manuscript, I’ll work on it and he will pay me and we’ll be fine.
That’s the normal kind of relationship that exists between service and customer.
Now thing is, if I’d say to this writer “Your first chapter will be ready Oct, 22” he’ll be expecting his chapter Oct 22. Not 23, not 24, not in November, and my “I will let you know” simply won’t cut it. He will just find another editor. What could ease the relationship between me and my customer? A peace offering.
This is how I do things in real life. I am not saying that BHVR owes us anything, I am not even saying that I am pissed off. I am not. I don’t care they postponed the event and I’m still hyped up for the mid chapter and looking forward to everything that comes with it. But if you ask what I WOULD HAVE DONE, that’s it. Double Bloodpoints until the Blight comes.

@UlvenDagoth made a HUGE topic on the Feedback section on how the Legion should/shouldn’t be tweaked. I’d recommend you to read it!

Why is everybody suggesting OP to use DS when DS actually encourages the killer to slug? Slug is a counter to DS, not the other way around
-
As killer main I still don’t tolerate how Oblivious survivors don’t get the BT to process. They can’t hear the TR but TR IS THERE.
-
I was thinking of Hallowed Blight Wraith I got last year, but sadly I recently p3’d him so he’s level 1 perkless.
I’ll probably just stick to base Julie Legion... that’s the scariest thing in the game to me <3
-
I already said this in other posts and I’m going to say it again.
I almost exclusively play killer and actually play the Spirit when I want an easier, more relaxing experience.
I really think I don’t need to go further.

you shouldn't need to heal yourself more than twice per match. Once at best. With that being said, Self-care as a perk went from a must-have best survivor perk in the game to an off-meta perk that requires Botany knowledge+Resilience to really be worth it if you want to spam it. In some sense, Healing in dbd for survivor is somewhat crutch because healing is same as gaining an exhaustion perk and all exhaustion perks in my opinion are crutches for getting out of bad positioning. They also function as chase extenders which are really bad right now for killers because of how badly they're pressed for time against better survivor players. For that reason, healing is kinda tough to balance because better players take fewer hits so undoing a killer's work is really bad where as lesser skilled survivors need safety nets. That's large reason why in soloqueue, I tend to run We'll make it so I can fix my teammates errors, but I'd recommend using Bond to find teammates to heal you if you feel insecure when playing injured.
Bond can help you find teammates but it doesn’t guarantee that they will heal you. You could use those 15 seconds you use to reach you teammate to just heal yourself. I barely play survivor btw and them not healing are way too often the reason I get kills.

Yes of course, but being downed isn’t boring and being slug is. Op was suggesting a perk change to discourage something lots of people are rightfully bored with.

I have been sent home from a very famous band live show, once, because it was postponed to the next year.
