You are so right I didn’t think about that. So, I’ll rephrase: the mending action should make the survivor oblivious, not the DW status.
My intention was, from the start, to allow legion to sneak up on mending survivors, not to bring back the old Legion. So yeah Oblivious while mending works better and solves the issue.

Not bad ideas! I don't think I have an exact "Add-on" post yet, but you got my approval on these!
Other than ONE thing. "Oblivious" would get rid of the TR... making moonwalking Legion a thing again. So would the Frank's Mix tape effect.
You are so right I didn’t think about that. So, I’ll rephrase: the mending action should make the survivor oblivious, not the DW status.

Yeah no. There needs to be counters so survivors can't get free unhooks in front of killers. They have to learn that doing ######### like that can get your team killed if you improperly use it.
You are right but there are some situation where the killer can camp and go unpunished. Like Freddy. Freddy can literally hit you in BT, sending you into the dream state, and then watch you go down because “you’re not in the terror radius” and you can’t mend because he’s tunneling you. New BT is old BT against new Freddy and I don’t think that was intended.

I mostly play Solo survivor, so no. I just think it's dumb that the music prevents me from hearing the terror radius. I don't see the reason for it. It's pretty annoying when I think I'm gonna be safely unhooked and I suddenly start hearing a rapid heartbeat.
And what about Pig, Myers, Wraith, Nurse, Spirit, Hag...? In all these scenarios you would still think you’ll be safely unhook because you’d hear no heartbeat.

Well if you tell survivors it's meta now you will get laughed at. "SC in 2019?"
I don't know, but I do see where you are coming from. Would you like to give your own thoughts here about some number changes or buffs?
I actually see SC a lot. Probably more than they like to admit lol.
BTW yes, as I already said on the other topic, Deep Wound should apply the Oblivious status effect and Mending should be considered a healing actions. I am convinced that these two changes alone would move Legion from “bottom” to “mid” tier.
I also think, like everyone else, that most of his addons are in need of a rework. I don’t have many ideas, but here we go.
- Some addons should enhance Legion’s movement speed while in Feral Frenzy in some way.
- Apply the Broken status effect on a time limit could stay, but should be easier to accomplish. Hitting twice the same survivor just to process Broken is pointless since he’s going to be injured and in front of you anyway.
- Those addons that improve the duration of FF should simply be buffed.
- Frank’s Mixtape should make Legion Undetected while in FF.
- I feel we could use a purple addon to see scratchmarks.
- We could also use a green which applies Exhaustion on DW.
Also I fully agree on having a shorter cooldown for FF and removing the M1 penalty.
-
I like your suggestions for MoM. I’d think something like:
You start the trial with 3 tokens. Each time a status effect would be applied to you, a token is consumed and the status effect does not apply to you. Every two protection hits you perform, you gain a token. Being downed removes all tokens.
This could finally be a fair counter to Sloppy Butcher and I don’t see it becoming too meta. Still better than how it is now.
Only problem with my reasoning would be Freddy and the constant Oblivious...
just my 2 cents

Kindred wont tell you if the killer is near. Its about making the proper plan to escape, not everything in the world is about SWF.
If you need to make the proper escape plan you need to know where the killer is, not if he’s near, and TR won’t tell you that. Also this wouldn’t affect all the killers who don’t have a TR so I truly don’t see the point.
-
All of that would make SC mandatory against Legion and SC would be even more meta. Again, I don’t think we want that. Survivors seem to hate mending yeah but they hate everything. They don’t hate mending so much when it’s from BT.

Feral things see blood better! They can even scent it!
If it's global, you are gonna be running after ALOT of people you can't reach before you realize.
Yes, but a Trapper with 3 stacks of PWYF goes 5% faster than Legion in a Frenzy. Legion should not be EASILY looped while they are in FF
Yes that’s why I capslocked frenzy and not feral, lol! But I do see your point.
If it would be global of course you would have a different animation. Like, three different sized KI visual cues, big, standard and small.
Legion shouldn’t easily be looped, yes. But it also can’t be something a survivor can’t escape at all...

Ohh interesting. Why would the first be a buff to self care, if it gives mangled?
That seconds one was to add balance to the secondary power he was suggesting.
Not because it adds Mangled, but because in both those points you take away Mending and put Healing instead. How do a survivor heal himself? Self-Care. So giving a fast, easy to hit, avoiding loop killer a power that forces you to heal yourself, you are giving an enormous buff to SC.

.... don't take away Killer Instinct. Legion relies ALOT on Information. Taking it away will really hurt.
Longer Stun is also prolly unneeded.
How fast is the FF MS? It's too slow currently
Why can't we see blood stains?
hitting one person then getting stunned? IS that what I read? That alone would make me say no. I love the Rush Down style of Legion. Hitting one them moving to the next and the next is so fun.
Vault speeds are too slow right now too
I get that you are trying to make FF lethal, but I'm not 100% sure if this is how to do it, or if it should be done this way.
All in all, a very interesting idea so far, but i'm not sure it's the best i've seen.
KI actually shouldn’t have a radius at all on Legion and it should be global, since Feral Frenzy already has a timer that goes down. One could think this would be OP, but it would still getting less info than base Doc. Not seeing bloodstains is fine lore-related (we’re in feral FRENZY we can’t see details) and balanced enough since we should aim for people who still aren’t injured. Faster MS in FF could be unplayable on consoles. Imo should be as fast as Spirit’s power, with some addons to enhance it. I agree on all the other points.
-
Here I am. Aside from my suggestions on how to buff Legion made in another topic, I have two objections about what’s written here.
Point 5: At base, being hit with Feral Frenzy causes mangled that persists until fully healed. Can't be stacked with other mangled status effects like sloppy butcher but works with coulraphobia and the like.
And the sentence:
“Survivor now remove the DW status effect by healing to full health, not by mending. DW lasts indefinitely.“
Both these points would be a huge buff to Self-care and we don’t want that. Mending should stay as a base action performed by all perkless survivors.

Huh, can I put that in a section in my Rework Legion thread? Or you can think up something else and post it there.
Of course you can, I also just read your comment on my wall. I just am idiot with forums and don’t know how to find your topic, lol!

Maybe if they had the perk icon above the totem's aura, that would be a nice change.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/771525#Comment_771525
While it may seem like a significant change at lower ranks, keep in mind that survivors don't have to go and destroy totems. It just makes completing the survivor objective harder. They're not insurmountable. With Ruin, just working through it is key. With Huntress Lullaby, just work through it. Devour Hope? He doesn't get stacks by guarding the totem.
Ultimately, it makes killers more able to make desicions, but they still rely on survivor mistakes to catch them. So it's a relatively minor, QOL change. Nothing more.
Sometimes a gen gives 12-15 skillchecks. You can’t repair that with ruin on if you don’t hit the white skillchecks.

Ok i will change it then
Look, from my experience with Legion (which frankly is A LOT) he doesn’t need a rework. He needs a buff. He’s good, he feels fun, very fun to play. His addons are those in need of a full rework, and Deep Wound isn’t threatening enough.
Your suggestion is to buff Deep Wound - and on that I fully agree - but I think you are aiming too high.
A stupid way I would buff Deep Wound? Survivors in the Deep Wound status effect are also subject to Oblivious status effect. Mending should be a healing action and therefore detected by Nurse’s Calling etc.
There you go. Ready for the red ranks.
-
So you are arguing that a KILLER shouldn’t be able to decide who to KILL? #########

Why should you know? To tell your SWF about it? Use Kindred.
-
Imo that could be op af and I’m a Legion main. You say Fatal Wound should apply with one hit, and the survivor wouldn’t be able to mend or heal. That means instadown while avoiding loops? That’s more powerful than Nurse. You could down four people with one use of your power.

If a killer wants to camp ruin I will camp gens lol
Yea of course lmao that’s why I said lower ranks! They exist too you know? XD
I always take into consideration all tiers of play when I discuss buffs/nerfs/changes
-
This would literally destroy any game for survivors in low ranks against multi-hex killers. You would just camp ruin and that’s it.
Edit: accidentally posted before I finished writing lol.
What I meant was although you can already camp/patrol your hexes you don’t have the privilege of knowing what you are protecting. The only downside of Haunted Ground, for example, would be removed.

I main spirit since she came out, and I can agree that at minimum prayer beads should be changed, also wouldn’t mind changing the ‘mindgame’ of people just standing still, faking phase
Wait what? An actual spirit main admitting what’s wrong with her? Will probably be ignored by everyone!
-
No Mither, Dead Hard, Unbreakable and Tenacity. Also consider Iron Will, Resilience and Liberation.
-
Ok first of all you absolutely can’t be a “good” doctor because everybody hates doctor and for good reasons. He is simply annoying. Not being able to perform actions because madness 3? Annoying. That pallet wasn’t real? Annoying. Wanna play stealth in a horror game where it’s actually possible against any other killer? lol, nope, the Doc is here.
Having that said, you should play the game to have fun yourself. Doc is annoying (have I said that?) but he’s fair enough, maybe even a little underperforming, so you truly don’t need to handicap yourself to make the survivors happy. Play the way you want.
-
EDIT: The comment I wrote was to answer another topic so I deleted it.
BTW, If NOED exists is their fault.
-
If you can’t tap prayer beads is instawin
-
Because of the salt. They don’t realize its their fault for tunneling.
UNLESS they decided to tunnel you for something else even before you used your DS -tbagging, FL spam, emotes, etc - in that case they are partially justified

Billy is the easiest red rank viable killer. Do you actually play killer at rank 1?
Yes I do and I have been for two years. Billy is not as easy as Spirit.
Billy cannot negate a jungle gym, cannot negate a pallet and cannot negate long “infinites” (please allow the word). Billy needs to fully charge his chainsaw before using it while being seen by everyone. Billy actually has to aim while mindgaming in order to use his chainsaw on a good survivor.
Spirit doesn’t care about any of that. Spirit just uses her power and guess at 50/50 where the survivor doesn’t know which 50 you chose.
I main Trapper and Legion so trust me my life in the red ranks can be hard. I am a very bad Hillbilly and I don’t seem to get better at him, while I actually play the Spirit when I want to relax and have easier games.
I’m always killer-sided on “nerf/buff/change” etc topics but I 100% understand ALL the survivors complaints about the spirit.

I never said she was harder than Nurse or Huntress. I just said she was in the top 3 with them.
Also, Billy is quite easy compared to these other 3.
Ok, really? Spirit is harder than Billy? I don’t think I’ve played something easier than the spirit in any videogame ever.
-
I usually lunge at the locker on the left side and somehow hit them. They’ll crawl outside - downed.
-
My sight is fine and sometimes you really just can’t see them unless you’re looking directly at where they are crouching.
Example: Backwater Swamp brown bushes. Unless you know a Blendette is in there, it doesn’t matter how good your sight is, you probably won’t see her.
How to improve? Knowing what killer do you mainly play would help a lot, I’ll try to cover the basics:
- Bitter Murmur is much more unpredictable than BBQ, and not juked as easily.
- Stridor 3 lets you actually hear breathing very clearly.
- Lots of killers have aura reading addons. Wraith’s purple one is probably the best one in terms of finding people who are hiding around, along with Myers’ mirrors.
- Monitor&Abuse could actually help you getting near them while they work on a generator before they reach their hiding spot. Small killers are better for this.
- Doctor is the hard counter to any stealth approach in this game.
- I never got into it, but some killers learn how to use Whispers to triangulate survivors’ location. This requires practice and map awareness, but it works to the point they will think you are cheating.
-
Because they didn’t play on console.

This makes sense to me. I can see where this could be useful. With some practice implementing perhaps even very useful. Thanks.
You’re welcome :)
-
Seeing your own scratchmark can help you using them against the killer, make him follow a false lead while you walk away (faster) in another direction.
The walk movement speed can be used to juke BBQ&Chili. Killer hooks a survivor, you run to the left for 4 seconds then walk to the right. Some killer will predict this and go right, but they don’t know you are using the perk so they won’t go right enough.
Also, the walk movement speed and scratchmarks combined are somewhat a direct counter to the Spirit as long as you’re not injured. Spirit phasewalk towards you, you leave your scratchmarks to some intersection then randomly walk behind something that obstructs line of sight and hope she doesn’t guess what you’re doing.
-
+1
That makes sense.
-
“Noob rewarding perk”? SERIOUSLY? If survivors are going to genrush and they are NO capable of looping and chases end immediately, killer have time for 2-3 hooks before 5 gens are done.
CLEANSE THE TOTEMS its not that hard.
-
I love people keep suggesting Spine Chill, Iron Will and such.
You do realize that is almost impossible to play at higher ranks as solo survivor without SC, DS, BT and an exhaustion perk, right? Now you’re gonna tell me it’s perfectly doable, and I’m gonna answer that beforehand: those survivors without the aforementioned perks are the ones I kill easily. If we’re taking SFW then you don’t need Spine Chill to counter anyone; you just genrush.
-
+1 this is genius!
-
Because if you are on the hook and the gates are opened, you escaped.
-
No don’t worry it’s doing that to me too every couple of hours it just won’t let me play and get me that message for like 5 minutes.
-
Leatherface isn’t bad. I’ve played him in red ranks for a long time.
His biggest weakness is to find, chase and down the first survivor. Then you NEED to snowball from there or you will lose. This doesn’t necessarily involve camping, but, if you need to camp for whatever reason (toxic click-click-click survivors, gates opened, etc) he’s the best at it. With good map awareness you can easily play LF without camping at all. His biggest strenght? SWF can’t bodyblock/gangbang you.
Myers...
Generally stalk until you have EW3 one tap away, then reach it when you feel you can get more than one down. You’ll get comfortable with timing etc there’s no advice about that, it’s just a matter of experience.
The ultimate Michael Myers experience (from both killer and surv perspective) is with the mirrors add-ons. Just use an offering for a closed map (Lery, Hawkins, The Game) and learn to mindgame.
I have no experience with the Demogorgon yet.
General killer tips? Always apply pressure on gens, don’t ignore that guy repairing because you’re chasing someone else unless you’re going to down him immediately. Don’t give loopers what they want, if they don’t fall for mind games then chase them and let them stun you, they won’t be using that pallet again.
Keep an eye on the three gen rule. There are always three generators extremely next to each other. If they repair one of those, mid-end game is going to be bad!
Also keep in mind that audio is important more for killers than for survivors. Use a good pair of headphones and listen carefully around you.
-
It’s not fun to play against something you cannot see. All you CAN do against a good spirit is make a random choice and hope she guess wrong.
Prayer Beads is pure bs.
I’m a killer main and Spirit is easy mode.
-
Yes she is, but no one will ever admit it.
