I mean there are loads of perks to counter slugging. Flip-Flop, Tenacity, Unbreakable, even No Mither (before you say that No Mither doesn’t work because they easily know you have it, it forces them to pick you up, aka you countered them from slugging am I wrong?).
Also if Iron Will worked while you were in the dying state, it would cause all sorts of problems where the Killer would never be able to find you and that would just be boring. Plus you would most likely bleed out than escape so it wouldn’t help you there.
“All sort of problems where the Killer would never be able to find you” are countered by not slugging.

Medkits will heal you once, twice or thrice with the better ones and addons. That's more than enough for a game.
If you are getting injured and need to heal more than twice you are probably not going to win, unless you've been taking protection hits (which generally speaking aren't a good idea anyway).
And if you are getting injured and healing thrice, four times or more in a game with Self Care then you are just SCREWING YOUR TEAM OVER. That's not even counting Sloppy Butcher.
Imagine healing four or more times in a game with Self Care and Sloppy Butcher? That is like 3 minutes of you doing nothing but hiding in a corner. That's half the game of you being worthless. You're just handing the keys to the kingdom to the killer.
I agree with everything you said. It’s still reckless to go without it. There’s going to be that situation where you absolutely need to heal in order to save the day.

I avoid SWF teams in general if I'm not in the mood for it. In my experience, games are not only less stressful for me when playing against solo players, but the solo players tend to be less toxic.
That’s my experience as well. But hey, when I’m in the mood I don’t care for how toxic they can be as long as I’m having fun.
-
I don’t care about skins, but sometimes I will dodge some SWFs lobbies when I see four toolboxes, or more than a key. Not all the time, only when I’m not in the mood, like when I’m pissed in real life for something and just want to relax. Usually I won’t even look what the survivor team looks like.
-
If you ask me, 5 totems should be cleansed long before touching any gen.
-
This happened to a friend of mine, also on PS4, but last year, and he sent me a clip with his phone. EGC didn’t exist yet and there were two survivors alive. He kept slugging one of them -an Adam- and chasing the other one -a Claudette. Somehow the Adam, who wasn’t running No Mither, kept getting back up on his own.
There is definitely something strange going on on PS4 and has always been.

Is anyone able to get a game with reasonable ping from US East right now? Doesn't matter if I play killer or survivor, every lobby is 130+ ping. Another survivor confirmed they were from US East in my last game and are having the same issue.
I am in EU and couldn’t log in for the last couple of hours. Nobody seems to be talking about it but the game is down for me.

@sluc16 said:
Seriously how is it that so many survivors use this perk? Is not useful at all and it affects the game more than it helps.
It takes forever for survivors to fully heal and there they stay healing for ages not doing gens or even when a teammate is hooked close to them.
I really don't think this is a good perk.
If you play solo you just can’t afford to be injured while doing gens without any information at all. Medkits aren’t endless.

Yeah? Thanks for the feedback!
Well yes, as killer you would use a perk slot only to enhance in some way other aura reading perks. But you usually choose ONE aura reading perk as killer and that is often BBQ which doesn’t have a max range. That’s why I see it being potentially underperforming :)
-
Very nice suggestion, +1
Killer variant would be cool but imo underperforming!
-
Yeah I agree. I always feel forced to use it and it’s so hard to just remove it for a perk that suits my build better at the cost of 50% my BPs. I don’t know what to suggest but that’s always been a problem in my head. Survivor’s version of this is WGLF which is fine because it does nothing to the gameplay, so you choose to sacrifice a perk slot to gain more BPs and that feels way more balanced to me. Always thought BBQ should be 2 different perks.
-
Pallets are already good and they don’t need a passive buff by some perk, but what could be nice is an exhaustion perk that involves them. Like sprint 150% speed 3 secs after pallet stun. So a survivor should still choose that over SB, DH, BL... That is something I could live with.

If freddy tunnels a survivor who got unhooked, right in front of him, that's on you. It's not the killers fault if they're taking advantage of a survivors error. If you unhooked in front of him, you bet your ass he's going for the survivor who got unhooked in front of him.
A move like that is called "farming". And you should know full well unhooking somebody while asleep and while having BT, doesn't do #########.
You are not entitled to free saves, if a survivor dies right after being unhooked by you, that is your own fault.
So if any killer camps BT can punish him, but if it’s Freddy he has a free kill. Still think it sucks.
I barely play surv btw.

It is absolutely supposed to happen.
The devs specifically pointed out the interaction when asked about the change.
Didn’t know that and it really sucks. It heavily encourages Freddy to tunnel...
-
All I’m saying is if Freddy tunnels the survivor affected by BT he’s NOT wasting time because the DW bar will deplete as the survivor is not “in the TR” because he’s Oblivious. That’s like old exploit Legion. And I don’t think it’s supposed to happen.
-
Btw I’m gonna end it here because this looks just a bunch of survs whining because they got mori’d and are now sad.
Learn to lose.

The entire point of the thread is that this ability should be stripped away. Saying that it shouldn't be stripped away because the game allows you to do it currently makes no sense.
So what are we trying to accomplish? The game should remove the ability from people to write down things? Or maybe the ability to read? Or maybe you just want the Mori out of the game, which is a totally different topic.
You do realize that there are plenty of ways to see those nicknames outside of the game? People with lists are not gonna stop because you remove names.
-
I t-bag other survivors:
-One time to say “thank you” if they heal me.
-Two times to say “follow me!”
-Three times to say “######### are you doing”
-Spam while looking at the sky to show happiness.
I t-bag the killer:
-At the gates ONLY if he hard camped the first survivor he hooked for no apparent reason and consequently lost five generators, because he just ruined the game for literally everyone in the trial and honestly deserves it.
-At Ghostface when he t-bags me.

Only if all of you hide, so really only if it’s SWF. If you’re solo and hide while 3 others try to do gens you give the killer 2 minutes of 3 vs 1.
Even if you do coordinate, some killers can benefit from 2 bonus minutes at the start. Hag, Trapper, Freddy, Demo
Fair enough. So we now know that CI is useless against SWF.
But do you truly need to slow down the game in the first minutes of a trial against randoms? They are not going to be coordinated. Every time you hook someone at least two of them will stop doing gens. Imo Discordance/PGTW can slow the game much better than CI in this scenario (while ruin still being better but very RNG based).

I don't think you get the point of the thread if your counterpoint is basically that Moris are a part of the game.
Dude the sense of the post is “is a random person allowed to write my nickname on his personal list and then use that list to decide if using a powerful game mechanic against me or not?” YES he is allowed to do that. He can do whatever he wants until he doesn’t break the rules of the game.

From the first post of mine:
Whether or not you disagree with moris/specific setups being overpowered, do you still think it's fair that killers can target players and have them on lists? I personally think it's on the same level of toxicity as stream-sniping, and should be looked into.
Yes I think it’s fair you use a base mechanic of the game against a player.
I don’t think it’s fair you harass a player by taking his game hostage, which is already a bannable offense.

-
I fully get the point of the thread. And I am saying that a Mori is not harassment, it’s a game mechanic.

Bill Paxton. The only guy who got killed by an Alien, a Predator AND Terminator.

Imo Corrupt Intervention is useless. You can just hide and wait for it to end and play against a killer with three perks.

What would be tiered? Still 3/4/5% of the regress?
This would apply to three totems on t1, four totems on t2, and five totems on t3. So that you have 3/4/5% of regress just like it tiers now.

It improves the game that deep wounds is threatening, you can't exploit it within the terror radius. I think of this as more of a QoL change than a gameplay change.
Either way, with some changes to legion's power, this makes possible for the power to reduce the deep wound timer.
I've explained the objective of these changes in the start of the post.
Yes you say at the start of the post that your objective is to make DW more of a threat, but your suggestions don’t seem to do that - as far as I can approve them now that you explained.
-
You want to fix ruin? Make the regress for a good skillcheck 5% which reduces by 1% for every totem cleansed on the map.
-
@NullSp3c said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/773995#Comment_773995
Youre missing the fact that the deep wound bar doesnt go down while mending. Which is infinite, making the exploit impossible.
Yes I get it the exploit is impossible because you keep pressing a button so you are technically mending even if you are not getting any progress. What I am asking is how is this going to improve the game? Right now the DW bar doesn’t go down in TR, so what’s the change?
-
I agree on what you say IF the offering creates an extra Hex Totem so that there are 6 totems on the map. I disagree if Ethereal Flame replaces a dull with a fake Hex that gives no BPs.
-
@Boss said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/773984#Comment_773984
There's no Dull in Ethereal Flame.
You’re right I don’t know why I assumed that. It says trapped Hex totem, well my statement is the same! If it does count for Thrill, it should reward survivors with BPs while showing their auras.
-
Your “out of chase” suggestion is what old OP exploiting Legion worked. He would just chase you while looking at the ground and waited for you to go down.
What you suggest by “pressing the button like recovery” could be fine but that would mean even more wasted time for Legion. I mean someone could never mend and prolong the chase just like now, I don’t see how this would be better... what am I missing?
-
Love everything but one thing.
If the dull from Ethereal Flame counts as a token for Thrill and could be turned into NOED it’s not fair the survivor who will cleanse it won’t get any BP for it. It should go into killer’s Deviousness category but still rewarding the survivor for cleansing it.

Where did you get that number?
And what if they will still be on you the second you are unhooked. I just would like to know that BEFORE i get unhooked that my teammate is doing a risky safe.
Literally counting.
Why do you want to know that? Thats what I don’t get. What benefit do you have hearing the heartbeat if the killer could be just there without a heartbeat?
-
@Gengarism said:

I know because I went to their stream to see why they mori'd me and they literally switched to nurse + equipped a mori for me because I'm on their "nurse + mori only" list.
So what? If he was some random killer and didn’t know you at all, couldn’t the exact same thing happen? Couldn’t a random nurse mori you anyway?
-
@Milo said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/772880#Comment_772880
But why do you think that?
See my previous answer. With 13 killers out of 17, you won’t hear any heartbeat and the killer will still be on you the second you are unhooked.
-
@Milo said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/772822#Comment_772822
So then - why can you hear the TR while in the 1st hook phase?
How should I know? I think that’s pointless too.
-
@Milo said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/772450#Comment_772450
Actually, i don't get your reasoning tbh.
Imma ask just to make sure - Why are you against people in struggle state hearing the TR?
Again, because it’s pointless unless you are against four of 17 killers in the game. The other 13 can be near the hook the moment you get unhooked without you hearing any TR while struggling.
-

You forgot Doctor, Huntress, Billy, Freddy, Spirit, Plague, and Demogorgon. You know, the majority of killers.
With doc you can see the sparkles on the ground AND doc has the ability to make you hear the TR when you are outside of it so that would be pointless.
Huntress, Billy, Spirit and Demo don’t need to be near the hook to camp it. A “good” Billy who wants to camp will chainsaw at the hook at the right time, Demo would use a portal, Nurse would blink, Huntresses often camps from miles away aiming at the hook, and Spirt is Spirit. In most of the scenarios you don’t know where the killer is coming from AND you couldn’t hear the heartbeat. Freddy literally ignores BT and can be invisible to awake survivors.
I didn’t forget anything, I was just thinking forward.
-
And how are you sure that a killer moried you because he’s harassing you? Couldn’t he just be playing his role?
Griefing being a bannable offense is another whole topic. Harassment is making you unable to play/irritating you on purpose without having in-game benefits, like faking the mori animation on you for 50 times when you are the last survivor, taking you hostage.
-
@Yung_Slug said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/771901#Comment_771901
Your logic is strange to me. We shouldn't hear the heartbeat just because there are some killers that are designed to be stealthy? By that logic we shouldn't have a heartbeat at all because not every killer has one.
My logic is why do you want to hear the heartbeat in the struggle state when you still won’t against the majority of killers? Just to know if Trapper, Legion, Clown and Leatherface are camping you? Because you wouldn’t notice with anyone else.
-
I play spirit when I want more relaxing games as killer. She’s too easy to master.
-
Take Spirit out of the game and let me face Billy all day, maybe I’ll start playing survivor more.
Seriously, billy isn’t op at all, he’s loopable like every other killer. Just be careful and try not to be out of position. Avoid unsafe gens unless you know where he is. Don’t rely so much on vaults especially if you notice his saw charge being shorter than base. Sometimes drop a pallet early if you don’t see other chances of escape.
Theres something I agree on, honestly: hitbox registry for his chainsaw is sometimes stupid, hits through trees or other minor environmental objects. That should be addressed.
-
Plague can already see which fountain has been used and knows a survivor is there. Also who on earth would use Nurse’s on Plague? That’s wasting a perk slot since lots of survivors won’t cleanse at all, and won’t ever be able to heal.
-
This would nerf Unbreakable into uselessness.
-
@White_Owl said:
I agree, seeing survivor's names serves no gameplay purpose. The only times it's helpful is when there's an swf team with similar/thematic names, but those are rare since it induces killers to dodge.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/771730#Comment_771730
If that implies a clear griefing intent, yes.
Who cares about griefing intent? As survivor either you play casual, accept its easy to die in this game and let the killer kills you OR you tryhard on and think this is competitive and try to outrun him. It really doesn’t matter what the killer “wants” to do since his purpose is killing people.

True enough I suppose. Just thinking of people yelling about running Mending timers down. Ya prolly right though
You mean like, FF Legion following you without hitting you just to let the timer go down? Because in that case you would just mend and wait for legion to take the stun.

Oh to keep them from being in a chase. Like Old Legion but only in FF. Honestly now that i've thought about it, who would Feral Frenzy backwards to do this?
Who cares if Legion is making Old Legion WHILE in FF? He can’t down me.

Well "Undetected" means no TR as well. So FF, then FF backwards. You know someone will do it!.... that being said it would be much rarer... Might not even help too much. Huh, alright.
Though it does come back to my Idea of giving Legion no TR in FF. I had to mess with that ALOT to get it to work.
No wait I don’t get what you mean by “FF backwards”

Got ya. I'll update it for ya! Is that base idea or for Frank's?
No I suggested Frank’s for Undetected, not for Oblivious.
To recap:
The Mending action should be considered a healing action and should make the survivor Oblivious. This would allow Legion to stealth on mending survivors while he is NOT in FF.
Frank’s should make Legion Undetected during Feral Frenzy. This would allow Legion to not get juked out of his power while HE IS in FF.
Please note that the Frank’s change wouldn’t affect TR perks so much since he would be in FF anyway. No BT nerf here.
