Please remove the limit. It only exists because people were botting when the game was first release, now I never see bots.

I feel the cap should stay. I'd like to see that when a new Killer/Survivor come, that they actually have to learn to play them and learn their perks. Far too many people save up 1 Mil points and just blow through a number of blood webs, giving the supposedly new Killer/Survivor all the same boring META perks with maybe one of the new perks mixed in for flavour.

I'd actually love to see a Maximum spending limit on each web of 100 k before you need to play a match with them to level them up again. It'd be nice if points earned could only be spent on the character they were earned on. Now I know this is a strong statement but hear out my reasons before flaming.

If points earned could only be spent on the character that earned them, then we would potentially see the following things. A more diverse gaming experience, as people are forced to spent at least a little time learning all of the killer/survivors and their perks. Less of the META, this game needs less meta, it makes the game often a boring "wash, rinse, repeat" type experience. Also having it this way would be more of a bragging right. "I've p3'd all my survivors!" means you played all of the survivors to P3, not just mained your main and bought everything because you had nothing else to spend points on.

Also limiting the spending also makes the decision to prestige at all, way more a sacrifice. Saving up a Mil points and then prestiging, makes the sacrifice so much less, because you are usually back in a pretty good position after respending the mil. Removing the BP cap would effectively make prestiging free. Just save up 3 mil and go ahead, now you own your reward without giving up anything.

Prestiging was supposed to be a tough descision, "Do I get the cool cosmetic , and go back to square one? Or do I keep what I've earned thus far and continue on?" NO CAP = NO BRAINER

    I disagree.
Saving up 3 mil would take a lot of time and dedication. Someone who spends enough time to save up so many bloodpoints should know what to do with them. The limit is just stupid.
Or do saving accounts for kids have limits on how much they can save?

And I disagree with you, so I guess we are at an impasse, only I gave reasons for my opinions, and you sided with ... "The Limit is just stupid." and something about kids saving money.

Jesus Christ - please excuse my blasphemy but really? this is how you guys play and assess every lobby ! That's pretty depressing. I do think killers get a hard time sometimes but being like this is only making ######### worse surely?

I feel your frustration, but you have to understand that all these reasons have surfaced because when Killers ignore these "FLAGS" matches turn into "crap fests" where they have little to no fun, and if a game is not fun, why are we playing it at all?

We dodge because the alternative is to not play at all. So you decide, is it worth having Killers to play against or not?

but then it comes right back that I see certain killers and I think ah man (Doc etc) and be like man this game gonna be ######### and annoying as fk, but I stay and play because its a challenge. I don't quit out, imagine if survivors knew the killer before hand? We'd end up with even more drops than the killer ones. Two wrongs don't make a right and at the end of the day these so called "flags" arnt always accurate.

In MLGA's hayday, that is exactly what survivors did, they blacklisted Nurse players and anyone who roflstomped them.

The only difference is that when Killers just accept any game that is loaded up, more then half the time, the games turns out to be crap and unfun. So eventually Killers are faced with the option to quit or be selective.

And when they are selective, no they are not 100% accurate. But we'd rather side on the side of a good game then the possibility of a crap game.

Perhaps our perks are more valuable than we think... Although personally I’d take a new look for The Wraith over a perk any day!

You can also say hmm if I grid out the perks on the Killer or survivor they belong to , I also up my time played, which means you get Cosmetics and Perks for the same play time!!!

@Outland well first you said “console are crap, buy a pc” this is incorrect and doesn’t make sense to say. Secondly “PC users paid their money to the devs which allowed console version to even be made” this isn’t wrong it’s just a fraction of the whole story which you left out. And btw every I saw you said you owned an xbox but I have news for you every pc player has at least bit of pc elitist in them and you definitely showed yours in some of your comments here

I'll comment on your points, no problem.

Because consoles are not the best gaming solution from a hardware point, if possible people should buy a PC. I'll stand by that point all day long. And this point relates entirely to the equipment involved. And not only will a PC out perform a console, it can also be used for other things.

And secondly yes PC users supported this game from release, and its their spending money on DLC and the base game, that allowed BHVR to expand this game and eventually bring console versions in. Once the console versions were released then yes, Console people actually helped fund further expansions of the game. What more is there to the story, that I missed?

I’m not saying any of that isn’t true but that still doesn’t make console crap because when it comes to gaming, hardware isn’t all that matters and usefulness doesn’t matter at all. They are many reasons you get a console one of them is for the games that are going to be on that console not performance. You can have $10k pc and you still couldn’t play God of War, Uncharted or any other popular console exclusive title and the graphics are pretty decent. If you just have a pc you’re missing out and if you just have a console you’re missing out. This why I don’t get pc elitists and console fanboys because they’re missing out. Many youtubers and streamers have both pc and a console.  You seem like a civil guy I think you just came off wrong and that’s why you seemed like a pc elitist. Pc elitists aren’t civil lol

On your previous comment you left console’s part they played. All I ask for is acknowledgement for what console did for this game and how it’s where it is because of our support.

If you don’t mind me asking did you build your pc yourself?
I myself am trying to get a non-prebuilt one but have no idea where to start.

Exclusives are good reason for consoles. And I admit I wish I had bought a PS4 instead of the XBOX. Of course the poor XBOX sales are blamed on the lack of exclusive titles.

I did build my own PC this time. Because I wanted many top tier components I had to buy it over 3 months, watching for sales on the parts I wanted. Even then I had to compromise on the video card thanks to the Bitcoin miners pushing up prices.

The first place to start is the CPU, decide which processor is good for you. Once you have that information then you will know what you require to support the processor you want.

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
Yes. 2 PS4s still cost less than even a mediocre gaming PC. We also have 2 gaming PCs and both of our PS4s cost less than 1 of our PCs.

Excellent, and PS4 allows you to play both consoles on the single game purchase? That is another mark in the PRO column.

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
A Steam family account still doesn't allow us to play games together.

You have more then one console to play together?

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
Not sure how this became a console vs pc thing but I'll toss in my reasons why I prefer console gaming over PC gaming...

1: It's just how I grew up. PCs were not common place in gaming when I was growing up. We transitioned from arcades to consoles. Consoles are in my blood.
2: More importantly, I can buy a game on my PS4 digitally and my wife and I can both play it. On the PC I'd have to buy DbD and all related expansions twice for my wife and I to be able to play. On the console I only need to buy it and them once. For some people consoles are a huge money saver. That's beyond the fact that consoles themselves are cheaper than equivalent gaming PCs.

I grew up with arcades and such as well. But once PC graphics surpassed that of consoles and even arcades, I moved to PC main. I console to play with friends who aren't as big a PC nerd as me.

If you'd like to get around having to buy 2 copies of everything for your steam account, Id suggest you setup a family steam account and purchase games that you want for everyone through it and share the login with your wife. That's is what I did.

I do admit that consoles are a very acceptable budget way of gaming.

  • @ThePloopz said:
@Outland in today’s gaming world you want a console AND a pc i don’t there’s any disputing that fact

Exactly my friend, if the money is not an issue then, I'd have A PS4, XBOX, and a Killer gaming PC.

But I can only afford a PC and one Console, I settled on XBOX because I have friends with XBOX's.

But if I could only have one gaming solution.. I'd have to pick PC.

You are 100% correct I am a PC elitist. Because if I could only have one set of equipment to play games on I would pick the PC 100/100 times. Why? Because a computer has many more uses then a console.

Lets have a look at Twitch streamers and youTube personalities for example. When ever possible they choose to buy a game for the PC even though it's available for all platforms. Why are they doing this? Because the PC gear can handle the game much better, and they often have choice of input they prefer, keyboard and mouse or controller.

And deep down inside, though not everyone would admit it, they'd prefer a top notch gaming PC, its just not affordable. I know my PC is not as powerful as I'd like, but you buy what you can afford. The difference between me and a console user is I can admit that someone else has better gear then mine.

I think your elitist attitude towards console and it's players.

Got news for you, I owned the PC version at release, and I purchased a second copy for XBOX when it came available. So I play on both. But If I'm a PC elitist its because HANDS DOWN a PC is more useful then a console. Everything a console can do, a proper gaming PC does better and allows you to do so much more.

I'm pretty sure console players paid for the game as well, so they don't have PC users to "thank" for granting them the privilege to have it. Also, there is no "wrong platform" as each has its own benefits. Large patches in any game have always required a longer certification process through consoles because of extra issues involved (not just hardware).

Its the PC users who funded the expansion into the console market. Didn't see any pre-orders for the console version. So, yeah you are welcome.

Ultimately this problem is because you bought a console instead of a computer.

In my earlier posts I explained why this update is taking so long for the consoles. But people would rather believe that is it a plot by BHVR to upset console players. And after a lengthy back and forth of people dismissing all the reasons for the delay. You just get tired of it, and are forced to take it back to the lowest common denominator.

Which in this case is, console users are unhappy that PC version is out and they are forced to wait. If you follow the logic backwards ultimately it comes to the point in someones timeline where they decided that a console is a better choice over the PC. So that is where the logic comes in for the argument that they made the incorrect choice. If it comes down to money (as in PC costs more then console) then you are forced to just accept that the console route is what you could afford and are forced to accept the timelines that come along with it.

  • 1) Why would Sony or MS admit its their fault?
    2) BHVR have been told the reason for the delay, are they supposed to keep bugging them because forums "NEED TO KNOW!"
    3) New certification is required because a new money system is being added to the game and when it comes to money things need to be setup correctly. And double checked.
    4) BHVR have answered this question on many forum posts. You guys just don't like the answer so the must be dodging the TRUE answer.

If BHVR jumped to action and did everything the forums wanted, nothing would ever get done there. They'd just be that annoying kid in the back seat asking "ARE WE THERE YET!?"

No one is saying they’re plotting to annoy console players or purposely not giving us the update people are just saying they’re not being entirely honest with us which is bad if they came clean and said it failed or we only sent it in on the day the update came out for pc that be fine I would be happy and so would most people but all they’re saying is “it’s going through cert soz” which is annoying and not new info they can ask Sony/MC how it’s coming along but they aren’t.

Where is the proof they are not being honest? This is the point I have issue with.

All my facts are from the Dev Streams, but if you think they do nothing but lie, I guess I have no facts either. Everything I've said above can be found in the streams, you can feel free to watch a few.

    Game not playing as intended?
I dont think that clicking at the killer to cause epilepsy was intended, so we gonna report that too?

I didn't think that being AFK was a rock solid reportable offense, so I tried to think if they could fit afking into their know reasons for reporting. The umbrella clause of "Not playing the game as intended" seems to fit, so I mentioned it.

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
@outland Did I ever say they do it to spite the consoles? No, I did not. That's just you making crap up to make yourself feel better. Consoles are pushed to secondary status because they don't have the staff to work on PC patches at the same time as console patches. They do the PC patch first and then do the console patch. That's why this takes so much longer. They just refuse to admit to it, that's all.

They have an entirely different crew of developers who work on PS and XBOX versions, no staff from the PC version is taken to work on the consoles. The only people who would work on all platforms at once would be the art and sound people since the work can be used across all platforms.

The company has been expanding to allow consoles to have their game. You my friend have no proof to your claims other then you think the BVHR loves to lie to console users. So no they don't make the pc version first and then move on to the consoles.

And before this very large patch they were on track to have the updates all coming out at the same time. Which means they actually held back the PC version until the Sony and XBOX store were ready to release the patch.

So you can see I'm not making crap up, I actually have quite a bit of knowledge, where as you on the other hand..... have your suspicions.

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
It's not on MS or Sony. This is the BS BHVR spouts every time they take their sweet time releasing something on consoles. No other company seems to have to jump through the BHVR hoops that are set up against them. None. Not one.

What does BHVR gain from releasing the console versions later then PC? You seem to think they do this on purpose just to spite console users. That makes zero business sense. But when it comes down to it, PC users paid their money to the devs which allowed the console version to even be made. So if consoles have to wait more time, so be it.

  • Due to the very large size of the update. Both Sony and Microsoft required more time to release the update. This falls on those companies, since the code work for the consoles was done on time and submitted to the proper channels.

Here's a bit of knowledge you should know, consoles are crap, buy a PC and stop complaining.

My guess is in his friends circle there are 9 people who want to play and 2 of them prefer Killer.

  • A couple things to note.

    1) You'll need to re-buy the game for PC and start from scratch.
    2) The game can be purchased way cheaper for PC, and you can often get the base game for 50% off so around $10.

  • Mentioned this in another post, In one of the Streams, they said the Clown has the ability to "VISIT" all of the maps in the Entity's realm. They said he's currently visiting the Crotus Prenn. I'd love to see them expand on this and make a clown themed map for all the existing maps. It'd be even cooler, if they didn't tell us when the Clown was going to travel to another map tileset.

This would also match his lore as a drifter who follows around the carnival.

  • Dribbling is a good mechanic, the Killer needs to judge whether or not a they can make it to a hook. This allows room for Survivor teammates to attempt to save you, and other scoring opportunities.

    DS shouldn't be a 100% free getaway.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you AFK as Wraith in Cloak and the survivors cannot get you out of cloak, then I think it is possible to de-pip survivors this way as they cannot get any boldness points and altruism points excluding the "reunited" bonus.

If they find a flashlight they can burn you out of cloak. If he's wanting true AFK then Freddy is the one to use.

  • Consoles will always be seen as inferior. Serious gamers have a PC, and to be frank this game needs fixes for its PC version. Generally people do not want to hear about console problems, because not PC.

For many the first problem with consoles, is you are using a console.

I'm like you I have a PC and a console, and I own it on both. And I agree there are problems with console that the PC version doesn't have. Getting people to listen is going to be another fight.

  • My guess is looking to derank. Use Freddy if you are looking to do this. Other wise they'll just find your wraith and mess with him. But I'd guess reportable because you are not playing the game as intended.

But if you move around and refuse to interact, then who's to say you are not just bad at Freddy.

You would rather hope that the community behaves themselves, rather than just click a single button to hide post-game chat?

That flag never stays off, so yeah it can go, end game chat rarely is pleasant, so why have it?

Because players only have one way to vent on console: hate mail. If they could vent in post-game where you cannot see it then that's less hate mail. Myabe then players can change their privacy settings back.

If they need to vent then they need to take a break and stop the hate. Enabling a way for players "VENT" at other players is not needed, people need to get a grasp. At least if they feel they need to send a hate email then they can be reported to both xbox and sony and have them taken care of.

People need to understand that hate filled messages have repercussions and they are the ones that should be removed from the community.

Or, you know, they can just grow up and keep their comments to themselves.

Please no, I get enough hate mail from salty survivors in my psn inbox, I don't need in-game chat to be as toxic either.

The post-game chat can be disabled on PC. If that feature remains intact in the console version then that would mean you can just disable the post-game chat. Plus, it would reduce the amount of hate mail you receive, as salty players can vent their frustrations in post-game chat instead of messaging it to you.

Or you know they can just grow up and keep their comments to themselves.

Looping is fun. Please stop getting salty about it  ;)

I do not believe for one second that you find running around a pile of junk as fun. Necessary ... yes, but fun... not likely.

  • I have heard that The Clown, is able to traverse all of the maps of the Entity's Realm, and he is currently visiting the Asylum. It would be awesome if they managed to pump out some new maps for each of the settings that all relate to The Clown visiting.

  • I read in another post that the masks will be a pc exclusive. But I don't have any proof, just the ramblings of the forums.

Unless Deathgarden will not be coming out for consoles, I do not see why they couldn't have the masks for consoles since they own the rights for both Meg and Chuckles.

  • The absolute best thing about consoles is there IS NO END GAME CHAT! Do not ruin it, by asking for it. I believe that the end game chat should be REMOVED from PC as its only a salt fest in there.

  • Maybe an increase in skill checks when a Gen has ruin on it is a better choice then. Making pushing through the ruin not possible.

  • Yep this is on the list since SWF became a thing. It wasn't part of the initial game but survivors kept leaving lobbies trying to match up with their friends. So DbD was bullied into adding it, and they added it as "back alley surgery" as you can get. So you have to deal with how it works the way it is.

Of course you'll be hard pressed to find a Killer that wants SWF in the game so 1/2 the pop could care less.

Think of it as a small time buffer for you and your friends to regroup up and possibly skip the lobby of the Killer that just dodged you anyways.

  • I've paid full price for this game all the way since release, since I loved it and always wanted the latest content right away. But that being said,

IF, and that is a HUGE IF, I buy this DLC, it'll be with cash. Never minded supporting BHVR, DLC keep them going, and they have thrown us a bone when they can. But the current issues with balance, have tainted the game for me. Until they start fixing those issues , its very doubtful I'll spend anymore on this game, since I've really stopped playing it for over a couple months now.

The game may not be dead or dying, but it for sure stopped being fun for me.

Just allow Killer to see what survivors are SWF and the problem will solve itself.

SWF will always get dodged then. That will create another problem.

But a problem for who? SWF will get tired of not playing and either go solo or go away. Seems like a good solution.

Sigh. Then someone wonder why discussions like this are not taken seriously at all.

It is a serious answer. If giving Killers a notice when SWF are in their lobby causes Killers to ALWAYS dodge them. Is it part of the game that should really stay? If every Killer would let SWF group rot instead of playing them what does that say about SWF as a whole?

Killers do not want 4 people , usually connected with comms, just making a joke out of the round. I know there are some SWF group that want nothing more then to play with friends, and they do not give spoiler information, but they are few and far between.

People say "BUT DBD WILL DIE WITHOUT SWF", I call BS on that, more and more people are playing solo because their once SWF friends have given up on the game already.

As a Killer there is no compensation that is acceptable to make me want to play a 10-20 minute round where I will not only NOT have any fun, but most likely will lead to me not wanting to play as longs as I might if I just played randoms. You all think a few extra BP's actually matter to Killers, not to mention Killer who have already P3'd all Killers, whats the point of extra BP's in that situation?

Other talk about penalizing perks totals or giving more to Killers. The only acceptable version I've read is that Killers should have perma NOED when facing SWF members.

So yeah I stand by my comment that giving Killer the option will fix this. I know its a very unpopular opinion, but believe me I'm not the only Killer who feels this way.

An idea could be that the devs add in game mics like F13. And the killer can hear when people are talking.

You understand the Survivors would just mute DbD mic and still use Discord to keep their conversation private.
