I hope i dont get guys like you as a Mate. 2 or even 3 People like you and its most likeley everyone will die. Someone MUST do Gens. Almost every Match i am the only one who do Gens while everyone else is running around calling for Killer attention. When 2 or 3 People do this the Gates never will be Powered.

I understand the importance of doing gens trust me. I only do this heavy when I'm SWF. Do I like doing nothing but gens all the time? No.

  • I mean stuff like this. I try to pick things that are bright or easier to see. Most DBD clothing is dark asf so I cant help that

The first time I played this game I chose Claudette because I thought the self-heal perk would be invaluable. Don't even use it now, but at the time that was my one and only criteria for picking Claudette. I worked extremely hard to get better at this game. I wanted to compete at the highest level I could. Claudette was my character that had all the perks.

About the time I became a level 10 survivor I started noticing I was escaping a lot less, and dying a lot quicker on average. At first I just attributed it to the fact I was playing against better killers. I thought it would improve. It didn't. That is when I found this forum. I was desperately searching for what mistake(s) I was making.

I did a lot of reading at first. Didn't even sign up. Just read. What I started noticing reading through the threads was a lot of killers talking about the fact they will tunnel Claudettes immediately because of their blending ability. As I read more and more here on the forums I realized that is exactly what was happening with me. I played a few weeks longer with Claudette. I even changed her outfit to something more bright. That didn't matter. What I had read here on the forums was proving to be true. The mistake I was making was playing with Claudette. I decided to start playing with Nea even though she didn't have the perks I was used to using because I had only leveled her up enough to get urban evasion teachable at one point. So I was playing completely out of my comfort zone, but thought I would give it a try.

Immediately I began to escape more often. I wasn't dying 2 minutes into matches very often. My rank started getting better again. I was nearly to the point of no longer playing this game when I was playing as a Claudette rank 10 or lower. After switching it became much more fun again. I've played long enough now I have several survivors leveled up with all the perks I want and I go back and forth between them for a little variety. But if you want to significantly lower your risk of being tunneled don't use Claudette.

I've been working on leveling up Kate to give me a break from when I get tunneled to hell on Claudette. It's sucks. I enjoy playing her so much and I'm the type of nerd that gets attached to characters more for their story than skill set. I'm usually floating between rank 3-5 which is cool. I don't mind deranking. I do mind not being able to play a game due to character choice.

  • mori spamming is funny to me because the killer wastes time and i get a good laugh.

i believe that killers seem to come after claudettes more due to the whole stigma behind them, "claudettes hide all the time and/or are toxic players" due to how often players tend to show up like that. i'm not justifying that it's right, but i suppose it's been an ongoing reason that cannot really be easily changed, since there's always going to be that one claudette that takes things a little too far.

i'm not saying all claudettes are like this! i've met a lot of funny claudette players, it's just that it's common enough that people gain negative association. ^^'

It's so unfair. Claudette is such a sweet baby who wants to help people ;- ;. How can anyone be toxic on such a nice character.

its the luck of the draw, a good killer is going to press every advantage. You have an perceived advantage as a Claudette. if you cant get away from the killer once unhooked its the survivors (the whole teams really) fault. Same thing if you spawn on a lit ruin totem, would you disregard it? Don't take it personally, they are just trying to win.

So actually if I spawn a lit totem I leave it alone. Believe it or not I do. I will cleanse a dull totem unless someone has inner strength, and then once 2-3 gens are done or if it turns out to be Devour Hope I'll make a point to cleanse it. I want to have fun and experience as much of the game as possible. I irritate my friends so much because I'll see then and won't say a word.

Exceptions to the rule are, if people won't touch a gen because ruin is up and it becomes apparently clear that's the case or it's 3rd seal, or NoED.

Oh no i cant use blendette to crouch and hide behind trees how dare the killer go after somebody 😴 blah blah blah Zzzzzzzzz

I don't Blend. I don't hide. I wear bright colors. I don't gen rush or bring items most of the time into my games. I'm literally unhooking, sabotaging hooks, healing my team and taking protective hits. Again I'm a Claudette and not a Blendette. There is a difference.

  • @KingOfBadRNG said:

I'm sorry but my bias says that if you pick claudette your toxic and emersive. thinking that your so great at 360 and 95 percent of the time will teabag at the exit gates.

    @KingOfBadRNG said:

I cannot afford that in my game.

I'm not toxic. I can't 360. I'm a ######### potato that made it to red ranks because I like healing, unhooking, and sabotaging hooks. I only double crouch to say thank you. That's it. The most toxic thing I'll do is shaking my head at palette to ask the killer to stop chasing me so I can take them to hatch to close it or point at a hook so they can kill me and my teammate can escape.

I'm sorry if you've run into a lot of toxic player son Claudette, I can't change that. But still this is how I feel about getting aimed to hell for a simple character choice.

  • @Mister_xD said:

unequip the key and we can talk about it >:(

for real tho, i dont usually tunnel unless its 1 gen left and 4 guys still up - lets be honest, someone should be dead at this point...

I only took keys when I had a REALLY bad week of being downed, tunneled, and camped to no end. Other than that my inventory is stock full of items and add ons I never take unless I have a quest. Need rainbow maps and keys and everything in between with all sorts of add ons? I got you. If someone asks for it I give it to them.

In game I search chests hoping to find toolboxes or medkits for my teams. Other than that if I'm taking an item in it's a commodious toolbox to sabo hooks all game and not do gens. IDC if I escape I really don't. But I do care when I can enjoy more than one aspect of the game which in my case is being chased by the killer. Is it fun? Yes. Is it fun when that's ALL I do? No.

EDIT: And I can understand tunneling at that point. If I'm obsession I always let the killer kill me if they choose. Or if the killer has been having it rough asf I usually let me kill me. Anyone who knows me knows this is how I am. If I happen to find hatch I'll lead them to it for extra points then let them kill me. I only do this with SWF though so I won't get canned.

  • @BubbaSawyerMeats said:

if you got tunneled its kind of your fault, red ranks are no-holds barred. everyone plays are hateful as possible

How is it my fault i spawn near killer or if i dont they decide to get off chance with another person to tunnel me and their logic which they tell me in end game screen is "######### Blendette"? I dont understand what I did other than play a character I thought was cute and try to help my team. I'm not the one gen jockying. Destroying hooks? Hell yeah guilty as charged. But I'm almost never a gen jockey unless it's like 3v1 with 1-2 gens left.

  • @RobMeister88 said:

I think we can all thank Ochido and his toxic cult following for the negative reputation Claudette has received. Can't really blame the killers, there's still plenty of P3 Blendette Ochido wannabes out there, it's just unfortunate that some killers don't pay attention to detail as to what survivors do and don't do.

    ######### is that?

    @iRax_i_Ice said:

Please survivors can y'all stop doing gen?? Please

It's kinda a habit. Once you see a Claudette, you gotta stay on her, because one loss of LOS and she activates her invincibility cloak she beat up and stole from the wraith...

I'm literally wearing Red, skirts, bright colors, and what not. The darkest outfit I wear is one of her uniforms (blue top with khaki bottoms and a grey beanie). I usually wear her bikini outfit and unless a killer is being extremely sweaty i don't try to hide from them 24/7. Hiding in moderation is good and okay but Blending all the time is not my style at all. I've been getting tunneled so much that it has help me improve on looping but in that same note holy ######### let me do something else every game please.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1136568#Comment_1136568

Spinechill does not give you a running speedboost, that was Jane with headon, Lightweight doesn't have that level of effect.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'm still learning more uncommon perks so just checking. I've seen speed hackers but they're usually literally zooming from one one of the map to the other as fast as Billy leaving no scrathmarks.

I've seen killers essentially not gain up on a survivor but that's more so both killer and survivor ######### up equally in a chase but OP seems to be playing perfectly in those instances.

Also spine chill gives 6% to almost everything except running so cleansing totems, healing, unhooking, opening gates, vaulting, sabotaging, and doing gens. But waking people up and running are out.

  • So I have several questions:

Did she have spinechill? (That can account for some of the speed because rank 3 gives you 9% on everything you do but still that speed is strange especially since she can't have haste)

Why did you get randomly stunned?

Was she running lightweight? (But still scratches should have been left even at that distance)

Basically you want DCs to act as voting. To represent dissatisfaction with the game.

I feel this is the most self-center action one can take and I cannot sympathize with that kind of reasoning.

You bring up killers being punished but failed to realize how a survivor DCing hurt the killer. The loss of blood points, emblem points, and BBQ stacks because a survivor couldn't handle being down first. No killer is afraid of being called a camper. They are called that regardless of how "fair" they play.

With disconnecting the actions of that player only affected them

You should rethink this. A survivor that DCs hurts the teammates they left behind.

True but it only hurts them in the form of one less person. Not causing them to be forced to stay into a game, do their damnest, and still depip because they decide to suicide on hook or the kill constantly downs them and that counts against all parties involved.

I understand both situations are ######### but I'd rather go with the less ######### option that doesn't further punish me for someone else. I'm a very get it over it person. If a person d/c's I don't instantly give up, most of my teams don't. We assume they were just done or they got BHVR'd (not trying to change my argue I just forgot disconnects happen on BHVR's side for a minute). Killer gets points for the disconnect, survivors get less points overall but more points in general for being altruistic and getting things done.

To me if a person D/C's their mind frame isn't there and I'd rather they leave and keep their sanity and not ######### over the team's morale by doing stupid ######### out of frustration. Dying on hook just irks me because I'm just thinking about all that wasted potential and I'm just wondering what if all game if they had stayed and so I'm just tilted about having my time wasted even if I do stay because I usually won't pip up and the only thing I'm getting out of that match is Bloodpoints usually. To me people who die on hook cause more damage to the game overall than just leaving and having the system think we ######### over a teammate or a killer camped a person.

Do I want people to leave game at all? No. But IK it happens. I'm just saying I'd rather a person d/c and have less of an impact than die on hook and have more of an impact.

  • Honestly yes. At least that sent a clear message of, "I'm irritated, ######### this game, I'm out." With dying on hook idk why people are dying like that. They could be trying to sandbag the team because a lot of suicide hookers I get will wait until you're almost there to die and then put you in a dangerous spot with killer.

Are there the times were people die on hook to give hatch/exit/prevent the team from getting downed by a camper? Yes. But that's not the issue I'm focused on. I think my biggest issue is dying on hook penalizes the team and killer. The killer is considered a camper by the system, teammates are seen as being unalturistic, and then people have issues pipping up.

Yes I get it's a casual game but there are people who are trying to rank up and it isn't fair to them. With disconnecting the actions of that player only affected them, with dying on hook at most points in the game the action effects everyone else.

  • Wait wait wait. I said best boys. When it comes to girls it's her all the way. No other woman can compare to such a goddess.

  • @Megaris said:

    Better than nothing.

Sometimes the best option is to do nothing. Did people D/C suicide on hooks before? Yes. Did it become worse after the d/c update? Yes. Well people don't disconnect as often their actions to suicide on hook lead to making games harder for everyone involved.

Second choice would be Charles Lee Ray from Chuckie. I'll settle for Tiffany as well but I think I'd be cool to have another trap killer and they can use their dolls to injury survivors and give away their location. Or like have the dolls chase behind them for a short distance when trigglered.

Maybe they can treat them like Legion. Call them The Doll and take it from there.

It's a casual game, not a competitive one, stop getting your panties in a twist.

the only reason i care is because you get punished for disconnecting but devs are telling people it's okay to disconnect just in a different way

    @Rey_512 said:

I still fail to see how dying on hook is worse than an insta-DC. You guys complain about anything.

it ######### up emblems and pips for everyone involved both killers and survivors. at least with d/c a safety pip was almost always guaranteed but now i've have games with other 20k points and didn't pip because everyone worked slowly and avoided being seen by the killer or at hooked at all costs because we were a man down due to dying on hook which would be fine if we didnt get punished for failing to save them so harshly or if killers didnt have that count as close proximity.

with dying on the hook being the only option for leaving a game killers turn extra sweaty and survivors turn extremely selfish because a disconnect at least accounts for the fact it's not your fault. dying on the hook does not.

I do report believe me. But the issue is I usually get those same survivors in the next match or in 2-3 matches who do the same thing. Does the system work? Yes. But can what's happening now ruin a gaming session more than before? Absolutely. I have my set times to play DBD because I work so I do run into the same people often enough whether good or bad.

    You’re Reaching...

Who? You want me to stream the things that happen in my game on a daily basis. I have Red Ranks dying to an insidious Bubba next to exit gates. I play against insidious tier 3 Myers. Killers will literally slug an AFK and plop them in the middle of a 3 gen set up to ensure no one works on them. Because no one runs empathy and can't tell if the person is AFK or if they got slugged and are waiting on help so the first time you pick them up the killer comes rushing back to destroy whoever picked them up

    @Ghoste said:

Survivors were suiciding on hook before the DC penalties too. This is nothing new.

True but it wasn't this bad. Killers don't get the disconnect bonus so they're doing everything they can to avoid being penalized and depipping because a survivor died on hook to quickly. I've seen more killers get near perfect or perfect games with a person who afk'd or suicided on hook than with an actual 4 man full team trying all game.

What a bunch of crybabies lmao how about your lucky people play with you? I’ve seen better stuns than the flashlight in video games and you complain about situational ones. What a bunch of privileged children in here.

I literally main survivor but I do things within reason. I've seen people flashlight stun chain killers and this ######### is horrible to watch. Palette, one flashlight, then another, then another. It's usually a SWF that ends up going down then bitching because the killer gave me hatch since i wasn't being an #########.

IDC how anyone plays, do what you want. But usually the same people bitching about NoED and Blood Warden and told killers to adapt to new Ruin are the same mofos who teabag, irritate the killer on purpose then get mad when the killer tunnels them and I refuse to help because they brought it on themselves. I'm not saying don't use mechanics that are in game but when you do things essentially, and you know when you're trying to make the killer mad on purpose to SuprisedPikachuFace when you basically get farmed on hook due to tunnel and you depip.

Ok? Again, what effect do these actions actually have on a match, because I've yet to find any but killers still act as if these actions wreak irreparable damage to a match.

Doing things to piss off a killer can make the killer do things in which they ensure you earn no blood points, and frustrate you to the point in which many players want to d/c. I've seen is happen countless times. the general rule is just dont be a dick and everyone can be chill unless the killer comes in sweaty. Even then most killers respect a good nontoxic player. I've been in matches that lasted 10+ minutes and netted some people less than 12K bloodpoints because the killer made sure to slug them, made sure hooks were unsafe. constantly tunneled and grabbed people off objectives, and would pick them up to drop them so they could struggle free just to slug them again.

All of them because they took a simple double BPS chill game and decided to gen rush, flashlight palette stun, teabag be a dick to the killer.

  • @Seanzu said:

I'm curious, what effect does T-Bagging & Flashlight spamming have on the match?

it can be the difference between a killer showing mercy and a killer annihilating your entire team with no remorse, tunneling you once you get unhooked, giving you match, mori spamming, etc or just playing a normal game

  • On one hand I'm all for helping killers especially with the ######### they're going through right now. On the other hand stealh killers (honestly just ghostface) don't need help because dedicated servers boost them to hell. They may be incompetent, but they're not aholes to this degree.

PC. I'm always down for some DB fun. My steam is OtakuBurrito (Kill Me For Kisses UwU) if anyone want to add.

This just further shows that there are a ton of people who still don't understand the game at all.

This rank just makes me not want to play honesty. Do I lose my cool sometimes? Hell yes. But overall I try to understand what another survivor is going through. When I get in lobby I tell people, I struggle against hillbilly/bubba. I'm bringing BT and HeadOn. I get it. Someone people aren't great at looping and are trying to practice. Some people can loop god but can't hit skill checks. Some people dont have the patience for gens. I get it. But if have been able to do even one gen freely and the obsessions claw thingies have been moving for a solid 3 minutes that's 3 minutes you all have had to do gens to your hearts content. Even one minute hell even 30 seconds is HUGE in this game. If someone is getting tunneled it helps the rest of the team. No it doesn't feel good but it helps.

Some people are just unlucky and stay running into certain killers. For me I literally run in the wraith when i play. It can be frustrating asf but I just move on when it happens.

  • It's real? I thought it was a joke about how crunchy the game is.

  • Myers in an 80s windbreaker or in a swimsuit with a duck waist floaty and trunks. And please for the love of all that is entity Nea can Claudette get a cute sundress with a cute hat that has a ribbon on it. PLEASE! Stop giving her damn club outfits.

  • Doctor is relations to what other killers have to work with in their base kit is overloaded to hell:

Random skill checks that appear anywhere on the map

Screaming to alert you to their location

Pseudo-doctors to alert you to their location

Survivors can't snap out of madness unless they are tier 3 and at that point it wastes time

Ability to interrupt and prevent actions midway through for 3 seconds whether intentionally or not happens far too much to ignore (vaulting through windows, stopping unhooks when the unhook is 99, stopping palette drops, stopping cleansing, etc.)

Ability to always know the location of survivors with M2 unless they are in a locker

These are all things just in his base kit that no other killer has access too without add-ons perks, etc. These all things doctor can do perkless, hexless, and with no add-ons. At this point I'm just waiting for him to have the ability to TP to his clones. And while yes looping a doctor can be easy once you learn, that learning curve his steep asf because just dealing with base doctor can be hectic. If you're like me and you run into docs with nothing but iridescent add-ons it's worse. Have I gotten better with dealing with doctor? Yes. Do I like dealing with him? ######### no because he requires so much coordination for one rescue and heaven forbid he has NoED (mine always have NoED) it's just forces you to say ######### your team and sandbag them for the most part. And don't even say, "JUST do bones". Again he can interrupt that actions, and if you're in a small or indoor map where he shock BETWEEN floors you're still #########.

He's just TOO forgiving as a killer compared to what other killers have to do for a win or to avoid depipping. If every killer had a base kit this overloaded I wouldn't give a ######### and adapt, but they don't. The only person who you can argue is overloaded is Freddy, but half of his power is negated outside of the dream world so it balances out.

And when it is not your net but the buggy put together with duct tape game instead? What then? And I am pretty sure they don't actually know when it is on their side.

Literally everyone knows that but I don't want to get out in jail on forums so I'm keeping my trap shut. No pun intended.

  • The ban allows you get your net together and ensure you don't ruin the game for others. Additionally the system knows when it's on our side.

  • Not enough Michael and GhostFace killers.

Most Michael and GhostFace killers don't Mori me even though it's in my name.

Head-on is toxic asf but I'm enjoying it too much to stop and I feel bad so I apologize after game.

Doctor's kit is too overloaded in comparison to other killers and most of his skill/passives needs to be in the form of an add on.
